Wildmosers Restaurant-Cafe am Marienplatz in München

The waiter was a wonderful person and the pizza was very good.

Before heading home, we wanted to enjoy one last drink with a great view of the town hall at Marienplatz. We ordered a small water and a latte macchiatto. The water came with a glass of melted ice cubes. (The glass didn't look particularly clean either.) When I asked if I could have a new glass, the waitress eyed the glass and said it was fresh... The sugar in the sugar packets for the latte macchiatto was rock hard. When we complained about this, the reply was: "It can happen sometimes; they're stored in the kitchen and sometimes get damp from the cooking steam." 12 euros for a latte macchiatto and a 0.2 liter water, including substandard service. You can enjoy the view of the town hall for much less on free benches 5 meters to the left. By the way, a currywurst with a small portion of fries costs 17.50 euros here. Tip: you can easily take the elevator down to the basement and get a much cheaper drink and/or snack at Rewe.

Was there on a Sunday even though it was busy the waiter named Endri was so nice to us.The service was a 10/10 he was the best and made sure we had a good time.

This has got to be one of the best located restaurants in Marien Platz. However for me it was the world class service by Stefania that made our experience memorable. I visited Munich to support my national team Portugal and we were all warmly received by this resturant by Stefania so sent the location to all our fans to meet there to enjoy some food and drinks ahead of our matches with Germany and Spain. Stefania made the appropriate provisions to accommodate us all and ensure that we are all treated with world class service. Extremely polite, friendly and above all courteous to us all. It was a carnival atmosphere. I highly recommend visiting this place for breakfast, lunch or dinner and drinks. A big thank you to Stefania ….😊

I had a wonderful time at Wildmosers. The view was stunning since it was right in the center. The waiters, Endri and Cela, were fantastic, so attentive and considerate, checking in with us every 15 minutes to see if we needed anything. I highly recommend it to everyone!

The ambiance is the only nice thing about this place. The service wasn't exactly friendly. The cheese spaetzle was a complete disaster. There wasn't even any spicy cheese in it. The salad consisted of iceberg lettuce, arugula, and a pre-made dressing. Unfortunately, the spaetzle didn't taste of anything. The schnitzel was okay. Extremely overpriced for what it actually is.

We wanted a drink around lunchtime. The café was about half full...we wanted to sit in the sun, just the two of us. A waiter immediately came over and, without greeting us, tried to move us, saying we "had to" eat something as well. When we pointed out that we "only" wanted a drink, we were told that this wasn't possible. "He also had to sell food to make money." We then left the café immediately... Nice place and ambiance, but unfortunately the service was very unfriendly. We won't be back...What a shame.

Stefania is the best waitress. She listened to me, and gave us the best service so far in Munich.

We paid 140€ for 4 people, the food was not tasty, the steak was rubbery, they didn't even offer sauce in the potatoes. The waiter Denis was extremely rude and served poorly, ignored requests to come over. The cola was flat and the Aperol from the machine was like water. If you want a bad impression and wasted money, then this is the place for you.

Good food, but terrible service: two waiters with names on their chests Endri and Cela ask for the supplement on the table in the sense that they want the tip on the price of the bill and in our case, since we were not considered and snubbed, when we refused, we also had threats. Too bad because the place, the beer and the food are really good

We were guests in Munich for a few days and stayed here almost every day. There were several reasons for this. 1. The food and drinks are delicious and plentiful. 2. Singh! He impressed us with his friendly and funny manner. We always had the feeling he loved his job. He welcomed us wonderfully, laughed with us, and kept us coming back. He knew our order (1. Radler/1. Helles) as soon as we arrived. I can't imagine better service. Singh, thank you!🙏 The restrooms were also always thoroughly cleaned. The lady who did this wonderfully was also always friendly and funny. A big compliment here, too. Some restaurants in good locations rest on their laurels, but this is not the case here. The whole team seemed motivated. The food (I tried several dishes) was excellent. A clear recommendation! When I'm back in Munich, I will visit this restaurant again. Thanks to the team for the wonderful time!

The food and atmosphere were phenomenal. Delicious white sausage. The pretzel, however, was still from the previous day. The location was perfect. The service was okay; we were first shown to a messy table, and it wasn't cleared either. When we weren't served after 10 minutes, we moved seats. Then someone came after five minutes. When our server complained about the tip, we just had to laugh.

Stefania was the absolute best in service! She accommodated all of our needs and left us with satisfaction so much that we came back to the restaurant everyday during our entire trip. From early morning to late night we found ourselves here because of Stefania. If you are ever in Marienplatz at Wildmosers ask for Stefania I promise you that you won’t regret it!

Was in Munich for just 1 night, hotel recommended Wildmosers, I wasn't disappointed, as you enter the cafe I sat in the alcove on the left, a charming attractive waitress immediately served me, i'm veggie, she pointed out the V options, she spoke perfect English. I was very impressed with her customer service, the restaurant was quite full. Oh yes lol forgot to mention my dinner was great 💯

Staff sometimes takes some getting used to, probably due to staff shortages, but food is top-notch, I always eat Käsespätzle here

Great place, amazing location, excellent food and excellent service

I visited on a weekday in mid-May. It was lunchtime, but I was seated right away. I ordered a beer and a set of white sausage and pretzel. The menu was easy to understand with pictures. I looked up how to eat it online and peeled the skin off the sausage before eating it. The combination of herb-flavored sausage and sweet mustard is a German classic and was delicious! You can pay by card. Tips start from 10%. It was exactly 12 o'clock, so it was a lovely lunch listening to the bells chime.

Avoid this place, very bad and impolite staff, they seem a little bit racist, there is another bar restaurant just in the auther side which is bettrer with a welcoming employees !!!

Average taste and expensive. 17 euros for French fries and sausage.

The currywurst was good, and so were the white sausages. The "garden salad" was outrageous, though. It consisted of Chinese cabbage, iceberg lettuce—extremely cheap lettuce, in other words!—some arugula, and two cherry tomatoes, which were cut in half and served as decoration. That was all(!), served in a small bowl. The whole thing (??) costs €11.50! That's the only thing you can call it outrageous!

This is a delightful Bavarian dining experience right in the heart of Munich at the Marienplatz. The location is unbeatable for soaking in the city’s vibrant atmosphere and historic charm. The menu features traditional Bavarian dishes, and the ambiance is lively without being overwhelming. The service is generally friendly. Prices are on the higher side, which is expected given the prime location. But this is a great spot to enjoy traditional Bavarian fare while taking in the sights and sounds of Munich’s central square.

We wanted to have a coffee there about 20 minutes ago, and something sweet - after all, it's labeled as a café. But a waiter came over who was really unfriendly, not to say rude. He asked if we wanted something to eat. To which he said no, just a coffee wouldn't do. He said this as he walked past, in a way that was so cheeky. And we're not tourists. That's the ultimate in unfriendliness. Arrogance comes before a fall. Never again. The worst place. Not all Wildmoser are created equal.

First time in Munich, decided to eat in a cafe style in prime location. Slippery waitor try’s to add 30 E tip to bill without asking if this is acceptable. NOT SO FAST! Just because we are tourists doesn’t mean we are ignorant. No tip for this guy and I highly recommend looking elsewhere if you want food with flavor 👎

Scam scam scam scam scam. Wow, guys be careful when paying because they put a mandatory tip of a good 20/25% of the total bill. Crazy prices but it's fair given the central location in the square. But moving 50 meters you can find other places to drink beer, eat and relax without being scammed in this way

A restaurant with super ok food/service!

This place delivered as advertised. We enjoyed the drinks while sitting in the absolute best background possible. The service was excellent and enjoyable. Definitely recommend to be on your list of things to do.

Taste-wise is great, but our chicken schnitzel was raw…so hard to get the waitress’s attention and he even forgot our dessert… thought at least the schnitzel was free but then he told me that the new one was, which is common sense. Yo at least I got into TV cs someone was broadcasting some football things lol

Wonderful crew and especially with Stephanie (Jaan) who found me a place to sit despite the crowd on 31st May. It is always wonderful to be served by someone with a huge smile on their faces. So happy to be here today. Thank you everyone for making this holiday of mine memorable one.

The outdoor seating is what’s worth it but the food and service are mediocre. It was good but not worth the prices as you can get the same stuff elsewhere cheaper. Also the directly asking for a tip was a bit off putting as it was very blunt and made you feel awkward. Have to run after the server on a not busy day which is rude I know but the only way to get another drink or pay. Overall I would choose somewhere else unless you just really wanna go for the view.

We were attracted by the high score of 4.7, but the food was average, we call it "pre-prepared food". Whether it's pizza, hamburger, or sausage with fried potatoes, it looks like fast food, but the price is restaurant price. No wonder everyone is drinking beer instead of eating. I suggest you don't eat here. The service is OK. But the food is not.

Singh was a charismatic and fun server who made our experience one to remember! Highly recommend!!

Wildmoser is located right on Marienplatz, with a large outdoor area but a relatively small indoor area. The menu is quite small, but offers some Bavarian classics. My cheeseburger was okay, but nothing I'll remember. Perhaps I should have chosen something more Bavarian. They have the classic Bavarian selection, but the wines are scarce and overpriced. On Friday evenings, the restaurant is the only one open on Marienplatz. Here, you can see the little that Munich is supposedly a world city.

Across from the New Town Hall, I enjoyed the most mouth watering apply strudel with vanilla sauce in my life.

Beware of this tourist trap. We saw the good reviews on Google, so despite having waitstaff at the door waiving people in (which is usually a warning) we went. The sausage plate was okay, the burger and fish and chips were not great. The pretzel was small and didn’t come with any dipping sauces. But the real expense was that they charged 4,90 euros for a small water. The waiter spoke English and came by quickly to ask for our drink order so I didn’t have time to see that water cost so much and just ordered one for everyone. Finally, when I was paying with my card, the waiter said the bill didn’t include a tip. Then asked me how much tip I wanted to add. Of course now I feel guilty and had to provide a tip. I used to travel to Germany, Spain, France and Switzerland for work all the time and never have I been asked so directly for a tip.

How can I be so stupid, an outdoor restaurant right in front of a significant landmark, pictures of the plates on the menu, pushy waiters and horrible food. Will you ever forgive me Rick Steves? At least my wife enjoyed the glockenspiel sitting down.

I left my wallet at Wildmoser. A very friendly waiter named Singh contacted me immediately. I got everything back.

Bad service! We had already eaten and drunk a lot at another restaurant shortly before and were determined to try the Kaiserschmarren for dessert because the reviews looked good. When we arrived, a short waitress with a bun served us. Since we were very full, we only ordered one Kaiserschmarren, the portion already looking large in the picture on the menu. The waitress asked us in a cheeky tone if we wanted any drinks. When we said "not for now," she didn't even answer us and simply left. We planned to eat first and order drinks later. Shortly afterward, another customer sat down next to us. The same waitress then came over and took our menu and the remaining cutlery and gave it to the other customer (who had ordered a main course). There were several other tables that still had menus and cutlery. Therefore, the service and the food were poor, and I decided not to leave a tip because of this. The waitress didn't reply to my goodbye and shook her head. Afterwards, she went to another waiter and complained about how anyone could order just one dish. Our visit only lasted 20 minutes! I'm definitely not going back.

We ordered Kaiserschmarn, which cost €18, and wasn't worth it. The service was terrible and clearly had little enthusiasm for their job. Accordingly, there was no tip, and the woman shook her head. No goodbye, and loud gossiping with colleagues about us only ordering Kaiserschmarn and nothing more.
