Wildmosers Restaurant-Cafe am Marienplatz in München

Despite being in Munich many times, I've only recently discovered this cozy, value-for-money, and excellent food restaurant/cafe. Besides the stunning view and service, Mr. Ismail Baki was especially attentive to us. I'm so grateful to him; I'll be back again!

Central location right on Marienplatz. The food was good, and the service was friendly. Many thanks to Mr. Ismail Baki, who took such good care of us. Prices are reasonable for the area. We'd be happy to return.

Maybe we were just unlucky with the service. We ordered a burger without pickles and spaetzle without fried onions. We got a burger with just pickles and no other salad, and the spaetzle came with onions. On top of that, the illustrated menu showed a plate that was very generously filled with spaetzle. My wife only got about half of it. The other half was salad, which wasn't even chopped properly (see photo). It's okay to have a drink there when the weather's nice.

Delicious, traditional German food. Reasonably priced and conveniently located across from the Rathaus. The waitress, Andreea, was very kind and patient in explaining the dishes to us.

Excellent service and drinks with a breathtaking view of the magnificent Gothic building in Marienplatz! The staff were incredibly warm and attentive, especially Antonio. Sitting right in front of this masterpiece while sipping a beer feels magical. The perfect place to stop for an Oktoberfest brew, no matter the season!

Lack of service, waiting more than 10 mins for someone to serve us, and they ask for minimum 10% tip. Food is good, but for the drink, I just want some water, they serve with water that ever more expensive than the beer.

Highly recommended! The restaurant is in a great location, but it's not a tourist trap, quite the opposite. I had a great meal with a magnificent view of the illuminated town hall. If you go there, you'll enjoy a wide selection of local specialties served quickly in a pleasant setting.

The penne arrabbiata was bad, and the schnitzel was just okay. Still, in terms of price-performance, it really fails. The place is very central, which makes it a total tourist trap. We regretted not walking a bit further to try other nearby restaurants.

Come for second time because i enjoyed food and service, but its not acceptable, during my meal to be interrupted, that i need to pay my bill and carry on drinking because the lady shift was finished , still ask me if i would like to tip…. Need to go out of the table to pay by card , then i return i have a full 1 liter beer (over 13 eur ) to find out the they already are putting my table together with other for next guests i end up leaving without touch the beer i paid and interrupt the meal, because you cant enjoy to stay in place like this, dont push customers, find another way to transfer tables to next person taking over your section if it was that the case because it might be just to take the tips from open tables…really bother me , because i like to be relaxed and im spending money and i was pushed, cant recommend.

I actually visited this restaurant every time i come to Munich. And of course this time as well. I love sitting in front of the Town Hall, watching the Glockenspiel and people walking around the Marienplatz. The restaurant offers the cool beer, nice food and friendly service. This time i came to this restaurant three times because one more thing made me really impressed was the service by the staff named Ramia. She’s super friendly and has a good service minded. I’d say this is a plus for me enjoying my time at this place.

We had Kaiserschmarren and apple strudel. Unfortunately, neither of them impressed us and wasn't particularly special. The Kaiserschmarren came with a lettuce leaf. The food was carelessly thrown onto the plate. We've had better in the Ruhr area. It reminded us more of a mass-produced meal. We expected more for the price.

The food is good, but they require a tip. Overall, it's okay.

Great location but expect tourist level food. The fries were stale and the bier was flat.

Terrible service. We sat down and waited over 10 minutes for a waiter to come take our order. We were only getting beers and waited another 10 minutes for them. Beers were average!

Took refuge here for breakfast on a cold, rainy first morning in Germany. Tried the pretzel, Weißwurst (Bavarian white sausages), and an apple strudel. The food was decent for a first meal after landing. The location is fantastic and very convenient for a quick stop. Note: there are toilets downstairs, but they charge €0.50. We didn't have coins so the lady was nice to let us go.

Writing this review primarily based on the outstanding service from Kornii, was very polite and helpful for my friends allergy and made us feel welcome. The food was delicious albeit on the more expensive side but for the view you get while eating it was more than worth the price. I would highly recommend this restaurant to any tourists looking for a nice evening meal and looking to get a taste of German food.

I really enjoyed it and was lucky to sit outside. The central square is stunning, the waiter was awesome, didn't ask his name but he was from Kosovo. The beer was very tasty, the food too. The stay is a bit harsh. Will definitely come back for beer.

"Not recommended for tourists" "Not recommended for tourists" "I ate at this restaurant with friends on June 27, 2025. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend it at all for the following reasons: 1. To eat in the restaurant, you must order a meal and cannot just order drinks. However, the staff doesn't make this clear in advance. 2. The service was unfriendly. We were initially seated in a corner with no view. After we asked to be seated elsewhere, the waitress became noticeably annoyed. 3. Mistake with the change: The bill was approximately €55, and I told the waitress €56, even though I hadn't made any mistake in the numbers. However, the bill actually showed €65. I noticed this immediately and spoke to the waitress. She refunded me €7, but it still wasn't true. Only after I pointed it out again did I receive the missing €2. 4. Inappropriate behavior in Google reviews: My friend left a negative review the same day. However, he recently received a notification from Google that the restaurant had reported this review. This behavior is very annoying. We traveled to Germany as tourists, but the restaurant's behavior gives the impression that they are intentionally discriminating against tourists. If necessary, I am willing to clarify this directly with the restaurant. If this restaurant has reported my review to Google, I would like to emphasize that the purpose of a review is to inform everyone about the true conditions of the restaurant, not to create an artificially rosy image.

Amazing dinner! The setting was so picturesque right in Marion Plaza. Krasniqi took such good care of us. And the chicken schnitzel was delicious!

Must have struck it on a bad night, food was ordinary, expensive and service mediocre at best.

We arrived late on a Monday evening in Munich. It was either McDonald’s or this place. We should have gone for a Big Mac meal. The food here was very bad. The pizza seemed to have been reheated in the microwave for 5 minutes. The pasta same thing… Afterwards, we all had stomach aches. On top of that, it was expensive, expensive & expensive! The service was friendly, but a bit forced, and it was strange how the waiter kept insistently asking for a tip when we paid. Unfortunately, we won’t be coming back here.

I visited this restaurant for the very first time and I have to say it was such a wonderful experience. The food was great, but what really made my evening special was the service. Andreea was incredibly kind, attentive, and genuinely welcoming from the very first moment. She made me feel comfortable and taken care of the entire time.

Came from a touristy trap and we were surprised with this little find here! It is next to Neues Rathaus with a really chill vibe so we get to get a drink and enjoy our dessert. The best part of it is Antonio’s attentiveness + great service, which made us feel really well accommodated! Danke schön!

The food was delicious and plentiful! The portions were larger than I expected, so I don't think I'll be able to order more than one dish per person! The waiter was very friendly! The sausages were a bit salty overall, so I think they'd go well with beer. LOL We ate inside, and the view of the new city hall building was nice. 🤗

Service was really basic, we asked for a homemade ice tea and they said they have it, we were served one from a bottle. Manager said they don’t make anything in the restaurant, not even orange juice, and that it’s a German standard, and no restaurant in Germany make ice tea or lemonade themselves🤦🏻‍♂️. A shame such business operates in a pretty area.

Great location! We went early so it wasn’t busy. Fabio was very nice, not pushy at all. He spoke great English and we were also able to talk to him in Spanish. Food was okay. I think some reviews had negative comments on tip being asked. I don’t think these people understand how it works. If you are charging the me, the tip is NOT like the US where you write it on the ticket. It needs to be added in the check. So that is why the servers ask first before entering the total charged. We left our server a tip because of his kindness.

We didn’t like the food (sauce were industrial in unitary package, fish was to much cooked). And we were pushed to give tip which was proposed at 20% which level we never met before during our stay in the region Great location
