Real beer garden in Cologne. Of course you shouldn't expect fine cuisine here, but it tastes good, is sufficient and affordable.

The stay in the Stadtgarten Cologne was very pleasant from start to finish, not to mention the ambience. The service was always friendly and attentive! The drinks reached us in no time and the food didn't take long to arrive either. When we finished eating, we decided to order dessert. A tasty treat! 😋 I can recommend. 😁👍

I had a cocoa with cream (the cream was fresh!!) and a piece of apple 🍎 cake. I had never found such a fresh one with large recognizable pieces anywhere. A ratio of 90% apple and 10% dough. The service was very friendly and open to having fun. The price-performance ratio was completely fine!!

A nice place to go especially in summer to have a beer / wine and some German food. The food selection is fair related to a „beer garden“, you can go from vegetarian salad through Flammkuchen, Burger (+veggie Burger) to Bratwurst, Currywurst and many others. They serve also Brunch on weekends. Always like to go there and service personnel is usually very friendly and helpful.

Very nice service and very good fries and especially sauces. I'm always happy when I make it here. The fries are so good that I haven't been able to try anything else yet.

A lot has changed for the better since then

We ate here for lunch on a Sunday. We dat outside and we liked it a lot. The atmosphere was really nice, especially during a sunny day, it is nice to sit in the green environment. The food was delicious and the princes were okay in our opinion. The location is also good as it is directly located next to a park, where we took a walk afterwards. There are several vegetarian and vegan options available. We definitely will be back again.

You only pay for the ambience offered.

Everything used to be better - everything used to be good! Nice beer garden in Belgian! Things were cooler in the late nineties and early noughties! But maybe it's just a personal attitude to life!✌️🤔

Nice beer garden and a nice Christmas market at Christmas time. - What is always very annoying, however, is that there appears to be a practice room for the musicians in the basement, which is unfortunately very poorly soundproofed. Therefore, from time to time you have to endure a terrible roar.

An oasis in the middle of Ehrenfeld. The restaurant of the same name is located in a city garden, which also offers a great spot for eating and public viewing at EM2024 with several screens. In my opinion the selection of food was very small but well mixed. My pulled pork was lukewarm and rather too salty when served. Fries were served without the desired sauce. In keeping with the service that day, which unfortunately seemed to be overwhelmed. Drinks ordered and served 15-20 minutes later. You ask for a glass with your drink and it takes about 15 minutes. To get it. But despite obvious stress, they were very friendly and lasting. The ambience is the perfect spot for long and beautiful summer evenings! Highly Recommended

Sitting under the trees in the beer garden on a hot summer day, what more could you want? Good service would be nice and was delivered. There is also a good price-performance ratio. A menu with something for everyone, except my sausage salad ;-) In short: a relaxed lunchtime in a pleasant environment.

Ambience is great. The meal was okay. Wine and spirits are not recommended. Unfortunately our Aperol and the service didn't work at all. We complained about the Aperol Spritz because it wasn't drinkable and it was the cheapest alcohol. It was about the same level as if you were buying the cheapest Prosecco in a discount store for €0.99 and the Aperol copy for €1.15. The waitress arrogantly said that they wouldn't actually exchange a drink just because someone didn't like it. When I suggested to her that it was already clear that they were mixing cheap discount booze together here and that I didn't have exquisite demands, but simply didn't want cheap booze for the money, she seriously said that in a beer garden that's just what you get Drinks can't expect such quality. Baaaaaaaam. She didn't say. Unfortunately yes. She then acted as if I was a spoiled snob for whom it just wasn't exquisite enough. So if that's the case, please don't charge the same prices as in a cocktail bar or take the drinks off the menu. Apart from the fact that such statements are not possible at all. Or please write on your card: Beer is good here, we are a beer garden. Unfortunately, you can't expect much from us when it comes to the rest. We're just a beer garden. We paid €75 for 3 people. You can also expect normal standards. As I said, the food was okay.

Actually a very nice place but after I ate the asparagus bowl yesterday I got a nice case of food poisoning. I assume the salad wasn't that good anymore, as it tasted like these ready-made mixes anyway. My companion ordered something cooked - if at all I won't eat anything raw there anymore...

Solid beer garden. In our opinion, it's the best way to get a little distance from the city in the city center and enjoy a two Kölsch or other drinks in the small green oasis.

The only thing that is nice and good here is the park

Tables were not cleared. You had to order and pick up food and drinks from two different places. There were loooong lines at both places. Prices are too expensive. Our expensive Tropical Lillet only tasted like passion fruit juice. The ambience outside is nice when the weather is good.

Wir waren an einem heißen Tag vor Ort und haben einen schönen Außenplatz bekommen. Mein Joghurt mit Früchten und Granola kam leider warm an (nicht gekühlt, Preis über 10€) und die Getränke waren auch nicht wirklich kalt. Kellnerin war leicht überfordert und konnte uns nicht 100-prozentig gut bedienen. 

We were at the dance in May party with friends. It was our first time there. The location is quite nice and so are the people and the audience. But the DJs have absolutely no idea what they're doing. 2 floors with the same songs all the time, repeated several times an hour. I have the impression that the DJs were there for decoration and the same playlist was on on both floors. So would be happy to come back as an afternoon coffee location. Absolutely failed as a club, worst clubbing location in all of Cologne.. Prices are okay.

Unfortunately, we can't rate the food because (which is of course understandable) on a beautiful day like today, the restaurant's seating is limited. There was still plenty of space inside but we decided to just have a drink in the beer garden. Really nice ambience. You get your own drinks (a beer garden isn't an issue either). Price performance is okay and from 5 p.m. there are also small snacks in the beer garden. We look forward to coming back and maybe having something to eat next time. The menu definitely looked delicious.

You can drink well here but the salad prices are a disgrace for what you get.

Sehr freundlicher, bemühter und zuvorkommende Servicemitarbeiterinnen und Servicemitarbeiter, ebenso waren die Speisen insbesondere im Preis-Leistungs Verhältnis sehr gut und ansprechend. Einzig im offenen Raum war es sehr laut, aber dennoch absolut empfehlenswert. Ich komme wieder.

My favorite coffee place in Köln

Pleasant atmosphere and very nice, attentive staff. The menu leaves nothing to be desired and there is something for every taste. The prices are reasonable. We recommend.

Well what can I say, delicious food (also vegetarian menu), welcoming place and very kind and knowledgeable staff. Possibility to eat both inside and outside, beautiful, very intimate environment. Generous portions and excellent product quality. Super recommended and last but not least the top quality/price ratio. Menu also in English and what can I say go and try it.

Stadtgarten Restaurant hat eine empfehlenswerte Speisekarte. Auch mittags an Wochentagen ein guter Platz für ein Lunch.

Wie immer im Stadtgarten war das Essen außergewöhnlich gut, wir konnten zum ersten Mal in diesem Jahr draußen essen, es war wunderbar. Ich komme wieder und kann das Restaurant nur empfehlen.

Always a highlight for concerts and gastronomy. Either before the concert or after, have a small meal. I recommend the vegan citizen with fries.

Last Saturday I happened to have wine with a friend after the cinema and it was really great. DJs played music, people danced, the atmosphere was great. The young man in service was great and, because the kitchen was already closed, he gave us a really large portion of olives and pickled sheep's cheese to go with the wine because we were hungry. Definitely worth a visit.

During the visit (March) an unpleasant food shack. Very busy inside. Zero atmosphere. There were two "DJs". Two apparently dead older men playing barely audible indefinable music. I hope it will be more pleasant in the summer

Had dinner here yesterday evening 10-03-2924 after a Rymden concert. What a disappointment. I ordered a 180 gram “bacon burger”. This is incredible: after cutting 2 pieces of the sandwich, I still didn't taste any meat. Then I thought: That can never be 180 grams. I opened the sandwich and guess what? There was no hamburger in it at all, they forgot to put it in 😵. Unbelievable, but it can happen. It would be arranged. I would get a new one. I got a new hamburger bun, but in all likelihood it was the hamburger they forgot. It was now completely shrunken, bone dry and completely burned on one side. Not for eating. A friend's hamburger was OK. My wife had “Fish & Chips” (pollock in beer batter. This was also very unappetizing. There was more batter than fish and simply not tasty. Not recommended. The staff was very friendly and we didn’t have to pay for the “bacon burger”. .The music was great and that's what we came for.It's a shame the food was such a disappointment. It's a shame because it's a beautiful place. A real chef wouldn't dare serve something like that. There wasn't much going on, so that couldn't have been the reason. Next time I will order a tarte flambée. Not much can go wrong there.

Well, that was literally the smallest cappuccino I've ever had. It was so small, it was no more than two and a half sips.

Im Stadtgarten herrscht ein schummrig-schönes Ambiente, man kann sich wunderbar unterhalten und die Gerichte sind wunderbar, von vegan bis zur tollen Currywurst gibt es eine schöne Auswahl. Freue mich schon auf wärmeres Wetter, dann wird der außergewöhnlich schöne Biergarten wieder geöffnet. Ein wirklich zu empfehlendes Lokal.

The city garden brunch in the first spring sunshine was a thoroughly enjoyable experience. The brunch menu is very versatile, from small breakfast items to (vegan) burgers.

Grundsätzlich war alles ok. Die Bedienung sehr freundlich und bemüht. Die Gläser waren nicht seht sauber. Eines reklamierten wir und bekamen auch umgehend ein neues. In einem Burger waren Haare. Der wurde auch ausgetauscht. Auf einem Salat fehlte das Dressing. Am Ende wurden uns die 3 Flaschen Wasser erlassen. Das war dann auch in Ordnung. Das Essen war aber lecker. Mir mit Baby war es auch zu laut. Aber vielleicht war es nur der falsche Tag. Der Biergarten ist auf jeden Fall schöner als das Lokal innen. Wir würden im Sommer wieder kommen.

We were here spontaneously recently. Unfortunately, since we were a small group, the staff seemed overwhelmed. We had to put together tables and chairs ourselves, the staff didn't help or bring any more chairs. It took a while before we could order and individual orders (e.g. a salad) arrived at the table extremely late when some people wanted to leave. The food that made it to the table was delicious, but the overwhelming demands of the service put a damper on everything. Paying was also very chaotic and unsorted. You would think that a restaurant should be used to charging multiple guests. Certainly nice for a quick stop for coffee, but otherwise I wouldn't go here again.

Als Jazzfreunde, die wir den Stadtgarten sehr oft für Konzerte besuchen, ist die schicke Gastronomie eine willkommene Erweiterung, umso mehr im Sommer wenn der Biergarten geöffnet ist. Daher sehr empfehlenswert, und nicht nur für Jazzfreunde.

Carnival 2024! Horror, queued an hour earlier because box office was offered. Barriers were just decoration, security wasn't interested and we had to go to the front several times To let them know that panic will arise and many people will rush forward. Queued for 3 hours for nothing. We left after our chests were crushed.

Die Auswahl auf Ihrer Speisekarte ist schwierig, besonders, wenn die einzigen klassischen Gerichte schon bald ausverkauft sind.
