This boat 🚤 house has a certain flair. I have always met nice people here. You sit down, upon polite request of course, and have a casual chat.

The MS Bootshaus Rodenkirchen is a cozy boathouse with great home-style food. It's super tasty and you have a huge portion on your plate that can satisfy everyone. The staff is friendly and very attentive. A music event with strong disco music often takes place in the adjacent hall on weekends. Simply put, the boathouse has a lot to offer in Rodenkirchen. Just great!!!!!!!

After a very disappointed evening 6 months ago, we went to "Helmut" 2 weeks ago just for drinks and were very pleased: new staff! Friendly, attentive and very funny when there was something unclear. We then reserved a table for dinner yesterday: it was another lovely evening! The food is always good - but with this great staff...We will come back here more often!

A nice, rustic and cozy location with coffee and cake and also a menu. Incidentally, it is the only restaurant on the Rhine, south of the Rodenkirchener Bridge, that has a ship's hull; the others are set on pontoons.

Enchanting ambience on an old excursion steamer. Very good food and very cheap for the quality. But above all, a top service that also takes care of children who might otherwise be bored. All around top recommendation!

I love sitting by the Rhine and looking at ships. You can do that particularly well here. In a friendly, familiar environment with good food and delicious Kölsch. Apparently also very popular with people from the area. I'd love to come back 🌹

Just great. You can sit outside even when it rains. Delicious food and adequate prices. When it's windy you can sway pleasantly back and forth. But the boat seems safe, I was never afraid that we would capsize.

It's just a shame, I was there with my son and wanted 2 waffles with cream to take away and wanted to eat them on the Rhine. This wouldn't work because there are no paper plates. I offered a deposit of €10.00 per plate and would have brought it back after a few minutes. A second lady angrily pointed out that something like that wasn't possible. People don't do things like that. Service is not a priority here. What is the food packed in that customers want to take with them that you haven't managed to eat? 🤔

I had the pleasure of visiting Bootshaus Rodenkirchen recently and all I can say is that it was a wonderful experience. The Wiener Schnitzel was really tasty, perfectly prepared and of excellent quality. The French fries were also crispy and tasty – simply outstanding. I would particularly like to highlight the young team of waitresses, who were not only extremely committed, but also very quick and attentive. Your efforts made the visit particularly pleasant. The MS Bootshaus is the only place in the area where you can sit in the sun for a long time in the evening - a real plus! It's a nice and friendly place where you can eat simply and well. The atmosphere is cozy and you immediately feel at home. The prices are moderate and absolutely justified for the quality offered. The location is unique and kept simple, which is what gives the boathouse its charm. All in all a great place for a relaxed and delicious meal. We recommend!

Delicious waffles with ice cream and cherries. The service was slightly overwhelmed with 25 people. Nice atmosphere on the water, but pretty old.

Here you will be full, with a good view. The price for the schnitzel is clearly at pre-crisis levels! Really good! We will be back!

Well... Were there for the first time yesterday. The service staff was "there", but somehow we didn't really feel comfortable. The ship and the jetty are getting old. A renovation would be necessary in the long run. The men's toilet is completely damp, although relatively clean! The food was good! In summer the restaurant is definitely worth a visit.

This is where the schnitzels are eaten the most. Large portions and good price. If you're not very hungry, you can order a children's schnitzel. Suffices ! I ate a baked potato with sour cream and salad. Very tasty and plentiful.

We waited over three quarters of an hour for a cup of coffee and a glass of wine. Unfortunately we left 😕😕😕 and there was no reaction from the waitress. Before we left we informed the waitress about it. But somehow they didn't seem to care.

Sehr schöne Location, man sitzt mit Blick auf den Rhein. Wir waren schon öfter da. Nettes Personal. Küche gut aber eine Kritik habe ich: das Dressing von Salaten /Beilagesalaten sehr harmlos und langweilig. Fast wässrig. Das fanden wir alle (wiederholt) die wir am Tisch saßen. Ein bisschen mehr Geschmack wäre gut.

Auch bei Hochwasser erreichbar.

Zu empfehlen, wir waren öfters dort und haben leckere Waffeln gegessen.

Service war sehr überfordert und unfreundlich. Ich hatte ein Schnitzel mit Jägersoße bestellt und verstanden sie hätte gefragt „Jägersoße und paniert?“. Anscheinend meinte sie unpaniert aber die anderen zwei an meinem Tisch haben auch deutlich „und“ verstanden und ich wusste nichtmal dass ein Schnitzel überhaupt unpaniert sein kann. Nennt man das nicht dann anders? Dann kam ein unpaniertes Schnitzel. Ich sagte hey, entschuldigung ich hatte ein schnitzel bestellt nicht das hier. Daraufhin wurde die Kellnerin richtig sauer, pampte mich erst an und wurde irgendwann auch noch richtig laut. Außerdem hätten sie keine Zeit jetzt ein neues Schnitzel zu machen und stellte mir das Stück Fleisch wieder auf den Tisch und ging. Den vollen Preis dafür musste ich auch zahlen. Freundlicher Service und Kundenzufriedenheit sieht anders aus.

Tolle Lage mit Blick auf Rhein und Köln. Personal hatte mächtig zu tun da rappelvoll, hat sich aber gut geschlagen! Essen war lecker und das Gesamterlebniss prima!

Vor allem auf den Plätzen im Freien hat man einen tollen Blick auf den Rhein. Bei schlechterem Wetter kann man auch geschützt drinnen sitzen.

Wir waren heute zu 7 dort und haben Schnitzel mit Jägersosse bestellt.. und plötzlich kommt da ein Teller mit Hähnchenbrustfilet mit Pommes… und die Kellnerin war der Meinung, dass es so normal ist.. naja lange diskutiert und keine Lösung gefunden! Wir sollten das auch noch bezahlen

In unserer Woche in Köln waren wir zwei mal dort essen. Das Essen ist wirklich schnell am Tisch obwohl immer viel los war und gut geschmeckt hat es auch. Wir konnten draußen sitzen und das tolle Wetter genießen. Das Ambiente ist auf jedenfall mal etwas anderes.

Zeer onprofessionele benadering van de desbetreffende medewerkster. Niet in staat om geduld op te brengen voor diegene die niet perfect Duits spreekt. Het feit dat je zo geagiteerd bent in je beroep en mijn tafelgenoot (per ongeluk, dat wel) hard op de bovenlip slaat, terwijl onze tafel wordt aangewezen, daar mag toch wel een actie tegen overstaan in de vorm van ijs of een koude doek. Hier niet gegeten door het vreselijke ontvangst en de manager is niet ontvankelijk voor kritiek, want ze herkent het gedrag van het personeel niet. Gelukkig hebben we elders heerlijk gegeten. Met leuke en vriendelijke medewerkers.

Schönes Restaurant/Bar in einem Schiff auf dem Rhein. Es ist ein recht einfaches Schiff, bei dem wenig Wert auf Ambiente gelegt wird. Der Service ist toll und die Freundlichkeit des Teams gleicht alles mehr als aus. Insbesondere die Schnitzel sind Weltklasse. Das muss man probieren.

Die Lage ist toll mitten auf dem Rhein wo man toll Boote beobachten kann und dazu was leckeres trinken. Essen ist gut, aber nichts besonderes. Nur Barzahlungen möglich.

Wir waren das erst Mal hier! Das gebotene Ambiente war toll, alle paar Minuten kommt ein Boot oder Schiff vorbei und es gibt immer was zu gucken! Wir sind vom freundliche empfangen worden! Sowohl der Bereich drinnen als aus draußen war sauber und ordentlich! Ich kann definitiv sagen, wir kommen wieder!

Lage ist toll. Mitten auf dem Rhein kann man schön Schiffe beobachten. Das Essen war ok. Bedienung sehr freundlich.

Obwohl ich in Köln geboren und in der Nähe von Rodenkirchen aufgewachsen bin, war ich noch nie auf einer der Restaurantschiffe am Rhein. Jetzt hatte ich Gelegenheit durch die Firmensommerfeier. Das beste zu erst: das Ambiente auf einem Schiff zu speisen und der Ausblick auf den Rhein, am besten so legen, dass ihr den Sonnenuntergang mitbekommt. Das Interieur ist rustikal und dennoch gemütlich. Die Bedienung ist bestimmt und schnell. Das Essen ist in Ordnung, aber man darf hier nicht zu viel erwarten. Ich hatte Tagliatelle mit Pfefferlingen und einen Bauernsalat mit Feta. Beides Hauptgerichte über 12 Euro, dennoch braucht man so viel, um satt zu werden. Die Tagliatelle hatten auch nicht wirklich viel Soße und Pilze drauf. Geschmacklich waren beide Gerichte solide. Getränkeauswahl ist gut und relativ günstig, Kölsch unter 2€.

Leider sehr schlechtes Essen bekommen. Kalt und Pommes alt oder aufgewärmt. Pfifferlinge in einer ekelhaften dicken Soße. Auch kalt. Wurde dann alles nochmal aufgewärmt und hat dann noch ekelhafter geschmeckt Die Chefin meinte nur....kann ich nichts machen....ausser aufwärmen. Merkwürdigerweise hatte der Nachbar Tisch heisses Essen Und nicht diese fiese dicke Soße. Da isst man lieber zuhause und weiß was man / Frau bekommt Ansonsten schön da zu sitzen und die Aussicht zu genießen. Personal besonders nett und zuvorkommend. Schade! Brigitte

Im Sonnenschein am Deck sitzen und ein Bier genießen! Geht hier wunderbar! Auch das Essen ist ok. Keine Sterneküche, aber ganz ok. Wer einen Ausflug am linken Rhein macht und hier einkehrt, macht nichts verkehrt! Und wenn das Wetter mal nicht mitspielt, kann man auch drinnen sitzen...
