One of the best spots in Frankfurt, period. The view of the Frankfurt skyline from the Henninger Tower is truly something special. The food was beautifully presented and tasted delicious. This German fusion cuisine is something different, but not in a bad way. The service was attentive and courteous. Highly recommended for special occasions and a cool experience.

The service was very friendly, we felt very welcome as guests, the atmosphere was pleasantly quiet and informal, casually chic. We were completely satisfied. My favorite on the menu was the black pudding gyoza, an exciting combination of flavors.

The surprising, highly creative, and sensationally delicious combinations of ingredients in seemingly familiar dishes, a wine list with lesser-known products, and fantastic cocktails we'd never had before, all set against the backdrop of Frankfurt's metropolitan lights—which can surely only be seen at Franziska's: Thank you so much for these very special hours!

Super nice ambiance with a fantastic view of all of Frankfurt. The main course was really very good, but I may have simply made the wrong choice with the starter – it was too basic for the price and rather ordinary.

What can I say: it was a not insignificant family birthday celebration with loved ones, and 10 people from five generations wanted to be entertained. What modern cuisine might struggle to achieve, you at FRANZISKA accomplished with ease: connecting generations. The stalwart pre-war eaters, as well as the teenage youngsters, completely emptied their plates and thoroughly enjoyed the evening. Thanks to a fantastic chef de service and the fantastic kitchen team, the outstanding wine selection, and the unique view, the whole family had an unforgettable evening and would gladly make the drive, sometimes several hundred kilometers, again: THANK YOU!

Traditional German dishes, but with the motto "From old to new," receive a "transformation," a new look. High above Frankfurt in the New Henninger Tower. Great view. Entrance on the ground floor/basement (?) with a cloakroom. Then you wait for the elevator to take you upstairs.

The food and view were excellent. It's worth treating yourself if you want to do something special. The service wasn't particularly attentive. Reservations are only possible online and require a credit card.

Great experience, not cheap but reasonable

My number one choice for a Frankfurt skyline view while fine dining: The menu selection is fantastic, as you're not locked into a specific menu as is usually the case, making it easy to return for more than one visit. Almost every course was a culinary highlight and surprisingly presented. The service was extremely attentive and personable. The ambiance in the evening is very pleasant and is just as suitable for a romantic meal for two as it is for a meal with several people. From the 38th floor, on the skyline side, you have a fantastic view of the city. The chef's table seats invite you to glimpse the kitchen. Parking is plentiful in the Henninger Turm parking garage.

I didn't like the food that much. The welcome from the kitchen was a course in itself: for me, it was the Fettbemme (fat sandwich). 2cm thin slices of bread with a bit of lard, each with salt, chives, bacon, and gherkins, about as refined as homemade. The Russian egg was delicious and made just like it was in the 70s. Unfortunately, the caviar was overshadowed by the mustard. The Saumagen (sausage stomach) was the most disappointing dish for me personally, as it didn't have much in common with the Palatinate specialty: the meat was very tightly pressed, and hardly any other ingredients were used. The croquettes were okay, but the vegetables, as a whole, were nonexistent. The fried potatoes were also served, which were technically okay, but raised expectations too high. The reconstructed Kalte Hund (cold dog) was basically a Kalte Hund (cold dog) with a twist. Nothing special in terms of taste, visually elaborately presented. Last but not least: The view is great. But I wouldn't go back for that.

Yes, this restaurant is an experience. I liked the relaxed atmosphere; it wasn't really snobbish. Given the high prices, though, that wouldn't have surprised me. The food was good and beautifully presented, but I could hardly recognize the story of dear Aunt Franziska behind it. This isn't home-style cooking, and the taste was, in my opinion, rather average.

Well, if you don't deserve a star, then I don't know what is! The meal was an experience, a treat for the eyes and palate, simply perfect. It was a privilege to enjoy this incredible view, which was worth the money alone, as well as this absolutely sophisticated and beautiful ambience. We felt very comfortable. I would especially like to emphasize the super friendly and always courteous service! From the waitress to the chef, everyone was simply on a different level of friendliness and competence. You could look into the open kitchen and see firsthand how much fun the team was having at work! At times the chefs sang together or joked around with each other, but they were always 110% competent. Our friendly, personal waitress even took pictures of us, and as a thank you for being such nice guests, we were given a lemon sorbet from the kitchen. 5 courses of pure enjoyment that were worth every cent and touched my culinary heart forever. Many thanks to the whole Franziska team. We'll be back!

Food was good, but I did not think it was remotely special or “progressive”. Service is friendly, but also a bit quirky. For example, when our first course arrived, I politely remarked that we had also ordered a bottle of wine (the sommelier had come to show it to us, but then disappeared without opening the bottle). Instead of simply saying, sure we’ll get it for you, the waiter said, well, now you eat your amuse bouche first, ok? I then had to point out that it wasn’t an amuse bouche, but rather the first course 😄 He then said, it’s an amuse bouche, but the boss wants it to be shown as first course on the menu 🫣🤣 The rating reflects my perception of value-for-money. When I pay over €150 per person, I expect a more professional service and more refined food.

The restaurant is a highlight in fine dining. From the attentive yet extremely friendly staff to the food, everything is perfect. The dishes are first-class and perfectly presented. The view of the illuminated skyline at night is breathtaking and makes the entire visit an unforgettable experience. We would gladly return.

For an extra 20 euros, I ordered Wagyu beef as a main course. The previous dishes were traditional German dishes—although a bit salty, they were generally unremarkable. My truffle udon was okay, but the pork served with the other side, served with such a large piece of old German bread, was truly unremarkable. I thought I'd be fine by the time I got to the main course, but the Wagyu was cooked well-done (the waiter said it was slow-cooked for eight hours), topped with greasy mashed potatoes, oily spinach, and a sweet sauce. The whole dish was oozing with greasiness, and I vomited halfway through. I literally vomited, literally, with disgust. I asked the staff why this dish made me vomit, and they said I didn't understand how Wagyu beef is so fatty. Haha, okay, I'm Asian, I don't understand Wagyu! Without further ado, I quickly ate my dessert and ran off, my only thought: "Let this farce end!" If the chef wanted the beef to be tender and juicy, why cheat by using Wagyu? If Wagyu is known to be so fatty, why not pair it with lighter side dishes? Even putting aside the taste, the presentation was truly ugly. But the service was friendly and the view was lovely. The chef's menu research was seriously flawed.

Saturday evening, I went to Franziska with my wife to enjoy cocktails. I received excellent whisky advice – the bartender was very knowledgeable, courteous, and incredibly friendly. Thanks to his recommendations, I've now discovered several whiskies that I definitely want to buy for home, as I'm a true whisky lover. All in all, I give it 5 stars! The cocktails and the recommendations were also absolutely first-class.

We had an unforgettable evening at FRANZISKA. We had the five-course menu, and each course was an experience, both in terms of taste and presentation. The service was excellent. Super friendly, very attentive, and always with a smile. This truly applies to the entire staff. We would love to come back.

Overpriced good food with great views. We made a reservation for a Monday evening, as it was the birthday of my girlfriend. There is a clear strategy to basically have a minimum charge per person, and that comes in the form of menus. You can choose between €100 or a €150 menu per person, which does not include the beverages. So the two stars for the average food are taking into account the prices charged. The service was mixed: generally good however we asked to be seated at a table with nicer views, but we’re not given the possibility. Further, I asked for a green chartreuse and was served a yellow instead. When I pointed this out instead of apologizing and bringing me the correct beverage, which I have ordered, I was invited to engage in a discussion involving bringing the bottle and showing me the content. as I didn’t want to spoil the atmosphere (my gf’s birthday), I just stopped this bizarre discussion. I have been drinking Chartreuse for years and you can really not mistake the green for the yellow one (neither in terms of color nor taste). Very, very bad handling of their mistake. The views were very good and that’s basically also the only thing which is worth it at this place. We ended up paying approximately €150 per person without the tip. For that money there are much better alternatives. Only recommended if you don’t care about the prices nor have high expectations from the service. Very nice observation deck, to which you have access and it was really worth going.

I am extremely disappointed with my visit to Restaurant Franziska. I had reserved a table by phone and was asked to arrive by midnight at the latest. I was on time, even ten minutes early, and was still turned away at reception, with the explanation that it was no longer possible. This is absolutely unacceptable, especially considering I had traveled a long way to get there. I will definitely not recommend this restaurant.

Doesn't deliver what it promises—except for a magnificent view over Frankfurt. The food is far from gourmet. The hand cheese chip at the beginning is already overwhelming, but after that, it continues to be excessively rich and hearty. We had no breaks between courses and felt rushed. When we wanted to stop after the third course, the fourth was already approaching. I've never experienced such a rush in any fine-dining restaurant. For the price, it was downright unprofessional!

The reception was very good, with excellent service from the waiters and sommelier. However, one of the dishes took almost an hour (too long to wait for a set menu) and was undercooked. It had to be returned.

It's simply breathtaking!!!! You should visit the Henninger Tower at least once. We were speechless at how beautiful it is up there and what a magnificent view of the Frankfurt skyline you have. Yes, the drinks and food are a bit more expensive, but there's no charge for the elevator to the 39th floor. There are other observation decks (e.g., Mannheim) where the elevator costs extra, and the drinks and food are also expensive.

The view is fantastic, but that's about it. The smallest possible menu: 5 courses for 99 euros, because this wants to be a gourmet restaurant. But it isn't! The portions are too large, the food is made to look savory with lots of salt, cream, and flavorings, so that you feel completely stuffed afterwards. Fine dining definitely doesn't work. The worst thing is the speed with which the courses were served. You hardly had a chance to catch your breath, let alone have a conversation, enjoy the view, or enjoy the food in peace. It's as if the service gets an award for rushing you through the menu. This place can't compete with restaurants like Emma Metzler, Chairs, or Carte Blanche.

Wenn es am 7-Gang-Degustationsmenü überhaupt etwas zu kritisieren gäbe - aber das ist Kritik auf hohem Niveau -, dann, dass die Größe der Gänge vielleicht nicht ganz ausgewogen ist. Beim getrüffelten Saumagen hätte jedenfalls auch eine Scheibe gereicht. Allemal bekommt man - nicht nur qualitativ - was für sein Geld. Der Service ist immer freundlich und aufmerksam. Die Location im 39. Stock des neuen Henninger Turms - zum Konzept gehört, dass man zwischen den Gängen auch mal die Terrasse im 38. Stock mit Rundumblick besucht - sucht seinesgleichen. Jederzeit wieder!

The dishes at Franziska are well thought out and easy to understand in their language. We particularly liked how traditional products and old recipes are interpreted in a modern way - this creates a beautiful combination of nostalgia and innovation. A small point of criticism concerns the Wagyu: the preparation as a sauerbraten does not seem entirely appropriate to the quality of the meat. Although the accompanying components harmonize well, the meat itself loses depth and character. Overall, the menu was solidly crafted and attractively prepared. Particularly noteworthy were the fried potatoes – they were excellent and almost the highlight of the evening for us. However, this also raises the question of whether more excitement could be expected from a menu with significantly more ambitious courses. Another small downer was the handling of a birthday at the table. While we were lovingly surprised at Mon Ami Maxi on days like this, here it was just a short "congratulations" - a shame, more atmosphere would have been possible. The service was always attentive, friendly and ambitious, great bartenders. All in all, a nice evening with potential for improvement.

I can't fully understand some of the negative reviews about the price. The restaurant is certainly not intended for normal people to eat there every day. For special occasions, however, the prices are quite reasonable for the quality you get on site. An absolute recommendation!

As a frequent guest at the old Henninger Tower until the 1980s, I was thrilled by the new one. An exceptional meal, a fantastic ambience and very friendly service! It's a shame that the former Henninger and Binding breweries at the foot of the tower are history! But that applies to many things in Frankfurt.

Once again a wonderful evening and many thanks to your wonderful ladies and gentlemen, with whom we were also able to speak in French. The menu was a culinary delight with extremely tasty new variants and wonderfully prepared courses. Big thanks again to the operating team!
