The food was really very good, especially the meat dishes were impressive, everything was fresh and tasty, the service was attentive and friendly, the prices are absolutely reasonable for the quality

We went there for the first time today as holidaymakers and we can't confirm any of the negative reviews! Food was great, pepper and salt as well as oil and vinegar were available upon request. Nothing was oversalted and the meat was great! We'll definitely be there again when we're nearby. Keep it up!

We were up there with the company. Unfortunately the beef was very tough and inedible, it was like the sole of a shoe, cutting and chewing was very difficult. The salad only had a few drops of sauce on it, very dry, a shame. At some tables no extra sauce was offered with the main menu, so some went away empty-handed. Drinks often had to be ordered again because they were forgotten. The service outside at reception was really great.

Durch unsere Zöliakie-Erkrankung sind wir auf eine sorgfältig geführte Allergen-Auflistung in der Speisekarte angewiesen, welche sich auf Nachfrage leider als unvollständig herausgestellt hat. Dadurch war die Auswahl der Speisen dann doch sehr begrenzt.

Very nice, modern restaurant above Passau. Good view of the old town and the three rivers. Good for strengthening before or after visiting the fortress. The restaurant is always fully booked, so you should make a reservation, otherwise you have to be lucky to get a free spot. Nice menu, delicious food and friendly staff. The price is still ok.

Cozy restaurant with a great view and delicious food

Wanted the currywurst with fries for €12.90, but instead of fries with a roll or slice of bread. I got it too, but still had to pay full price. It's not a dramatic special request, it requires a lot of effort rather less. I don't understand why you can't adjust the price a little, even at the Munich airport the same dish is a real bargain... Very petty, especially since they don't have to fight for every guest there. Otherwise nice place, motivated staff, but we won't be going back anytime soon.

Top gastronomy, very good food, good beer, nice service

Were there for dinner on January 1st, 2025. It was very busy but the staff were still very friendly. Food and price/performance are perfectly fine. View over Passau is a dream. Recommended. Any time

Celebrated a very nice birthday here. The atmosphere in the next room is very pleasant and the food was good. The view of Passau is great, both day and night. The pepper steak and the creme brulee are recommended. The hospitality was particularly good and you can tell that the employees have learned their craft. It was presented professionally and asked attentively if something was missing.

The taste is a dream and the view too. However, portions are too small for normal eaters. It's a shame that you leave hungry given the prices.

I visited the Oberhaus restaurant and was absolutely thrilled! The location is gorgeous with a great view that makes the whole experience even more memorable. The food was excellent – ​​lovingly prepared, fresh and tasted great. Particularly noteworthy is the attentive and friendly service, which rounds off the stay perfectly. For me, it was a thoroughly successful visit that I would repeat at any time. Absolute recommendation for anyone who wants to enjoy good food in a wonderful atmosphere! 5/5 stars!

Almost everything is great but the prices are disproportionate to the amount on the plate... you won't get full...

The view was of course very nice, the food was also very good, but the currywurst was almost laughable for the price. We also rated negatively the fact that in a restaurant like this you charge extra for the mayo like in a cheap snack bar. The service was ok but nothing more, in general you had the feeling of sitting in a snack chain rather than in a restaurant

My husband and I decided to enjoy our Sunday at this restaurant, it was a very pleasant experience, we really liked the food, even without having booked a seat they served us promptly, the quality of the food and drinks are very good, it has a great taste. I highly recommend it! I intend to return to this restaurant again and again.

The Kaiserschmarren was an absolute dream. The food is generally very good. The only thing you can work on is the cheese spaetzle. The homemade fried onions were top. Spaetzle probably wasn't homemade because it was a little dry and a bit over-seasoned. We were there twice that day. At lunch and in the evening. At lunchtime we had to beg six times to be able to pay. However, there was also a lot going on. So this didn't stop us from coming back in the evening. It's a nice atmosphere and invites you to linger. Unfortunately, there was a small misunderstanding with the bill in the evening. We only ordered two wheat beers but were charged for three. The waitress only brought two of the three drinks ordered and replied that that was the only thing that was ordered and charged for a wheat beer that no one had drunk. When I asked the waiter (Michi) from whom we originally ordered that I had been overcharged, he just said that this couldn't be the case because they always bring everything that was ordered. It's only €5. However, it is a matter of principle, because otherwise you feel a bit ripped off if the waiter tries to convince you what happened and this is not true. Otherwise, all in all, it's worth a visit if you want to eat well! But always take a look at the bill ;)

A very pleasant restaurant with a beautiful view, very nice service and tasty food. The nearby lark spot is a super bonus.

This time we were guests of the Feichtinger family for a birthday party. The reception in the rear outdoor area with a fire bowl, mulled wine, sparkling wine and other drinks with the evening view of Passau was something special. The buffet left nothing to be desired and there was plenty for every taste. The service was very courteous, not intrusive and very quick. Conclusion: It wasn't the first time we were at the Feichtinger's and it certainly wasn't the last time either. Despite the full house, we as guests didn't notice any stress and were able to enjoy a wonderful evening. A very big thank you to the entire team!

Great restaurant with an excellent location and views of the city. If you like traditional Bavarian dishes, you shouldn't miss this restaurant. The food was very good and we didn't have to wait long for it. The waitresses are all very friendly. The view of the city of Passau gives the whole thing that special something. There is also a small playground for the children. All in all, highly recommended!

The view is super beautiful. Unfortunately, ordering via QR code outside didn't work, so it was self-service. Kaiserschmarrn was rather average.

Simply fantastic and no more expensive than in the valley.

The food and ambience were really great, unfortunately we were a bit unlucky with our service.

After climbing to Veste Oberhaus, we stopped straight at the restaurant. In addition to a phenomenal view of Passau, the food was also very good. Curd plum dumplings and apple strudel were a welcome reward. The staff was friendly and accommodating, and the ambience is unbeatable given the view.

The restaurant is beautifully located with a great view over Passau. The lady who took our order wasn't very friendly, but the men in service made up for it. Food came much too quickly and unfortunately only lukewarm. There is still room for improvement

Sehr schönes Ambiente und ansehnliche Portionen. Aber kein einziges biologisches Getränk und auch keine entsprechenden Zutaten. Vegan gab es nur mehr ein etwas zu fetthaltiges Gericht mit Pilzen. Vegane Milch als Option zum Kaffee kostet einen Euro extra. Kuhmilch selbstredend gratis.

Very nice restaurant above the roofs of Passau with a phenomenal view. We were there with 19 people. The service was really very good, the food was very good. My pepper steak was perfectly English fried. The plates were well preheated so that I could eat in peace. When I took the last bite, the meat was still warm The only drop of sadness in my eyes: “the Kaiserschmarrn”. I was looking forward to a fluffy, fluffy Kaiserschmarrn that was picked apart in the pan with a fork. Your pieces, on the other hand, were too big (I had to cut them), too solid and too blessed. It tastes good but I won't order it again.

Incomparable opportunity to experience Passau with a fantastic autumn meal. Parking directly at the restaurant, large beer garden and this view make it a worthwhile and delicious experience.

Great restaurant. However, it is advisable to reserve a place as you have to be sent away again quickly. However, the staff does everything they can to somehow create a space. So if you are in the area without a reservation, it would definitely be worth a try. :)

Very tasty food, good service, great view

Ein toller Platz mit sehr schönem Blick über die Stadt Passau. Das Lokal sieht einladend aus. Wir bekamen sofort einen Tisch, ohne Reservierung. Der bestellte Kuchen kam schnell und hat uns geschmeckt. Leider wurde unser Kaffee aufgrund einer technischen Störung "vergessen" und kam erst auf Nachfrage. Der Kaiserschmarrn für einen saftigen Preis von 12,90 € ist meines Erachtens eine Frechheit. Die Stücke kann man an zwei Händen abzählen, und selbstgemacht ist er sicher nicht. Das geht definitiv besser!

Very nice restaurant with a view of the city. We had the cheese skewers and they were great. The service was pleasant and surprisingly fast, even though they were quite busy.

Being half German and having a German Oma that used to live up the road, we visited to relive old memories. The views over Passau are breathtaking and there is a lovely walk up from the bottom. The only thing that annoyed me slightly was in the restaurant when it came to paying she told me the amount and said that was the price without a tip. We consider ourselves decent tippers anyway but having it so blatantly pushed in our face like that just annoyed me, a tip is always up to the customer.

Great view over Passau, we ate outside when the weather was good. Weisswurst and beer were very good. The service was very friendly and attentive.

Great view of the three-river city of Passau We ordered a duck and a venison goulash. In both dishes the meat was very tough, the skin of the duck was flabby. In the case of the venison you couldn't eat a third of the meat because of the cartilage.

Very nice place. The prices are extremely high, the staff's attention is very bad and they also made a mistake in our order and were not responsible.

Actually one of the best locations in Passau. Nice view over Passau, nice beer garden and nice facilities. It was the 3rd attempt, but every time the service is a disaster. Apparently local visitors aren't really welcome. Once we made it to the food, but the price and performance weren't really harmonious. It's a shame about the great restaurant.

Veal schnitzel that is completely over-salted and therefore inedible. When asked whether it would be possible for the chef to try his own food, I was told, thank you for the feedback and it can happen that more or less salt is used in a schnitzel, i.e. he hasn't tried it, otherwise they would have refunded the €30 piece. The cabbage in the Reindl/Pfandl was also very salty and therefore inedible. Understandably, we didn't eat either. The service, on the other hand, is very friendly and we left a generous tip, but the reaction to the heavily salted dishes is incomprehensible. I would like to note that I usually don't leave bad reviews and like salty food, but this was inedible.

We celebrated our wedding reception in the Oberhaus and were more than pleasantly surprised. The arrangements in advance were always uncomplicated. On the day of the celebration itself, the service was so courteous that even our guests were thrilled because, despite the large number of guests, they were never without a drink and they even took the time to give advice and recommendations. The food was to die for. You definitely have a few more regulars in the restaurant now. Thanks to Mr. Feichtinger and Mr. Wunschinger and everyone who supported the service that day.

Great restaurant, The food (beer roast & Kaiserschmarn) was extremely tasty and reasonably priced. The way up the mountain is definitely worth it. The service was also very friendly and accommodating. Thank you for the excellent hospitality.

Nice restaurant in terms of location, great view of Passau. In terms of service......... We ordered coffee, iced coffee and Kauserschmarrn. Even though there weren't many customers there (maybe 25% full), we sat for about 15 minutes until someone took our order. Then it took around 45 minutes until we were served the iced coffee and the Kaiserschmarrn. The waitress kept telling us "it's coming soon". I was just about to pay for the coffee and leave when it was actually served. The food was good, the prices were ok, but the waiting time was unacceptable.

River boat stopped in Passau and we visited this lovely restaurant, the views were outstanding, looking out at where the Danube and inns rivers come together. Service was very good, and a great choice on the menu, couldn't fault our visit.

We wanted to try here for the view which didn't disappoint. There's no doubt, the food isn't cheap. The desserts were delicious even if over priced. I got a hot glass of water to keep my coffee warm at no extra cost. And yes, it's €1.50 for a glass of cold water.

We had dinner at the restaurant yesterday. The service was very, very nice and attentive. The food was great 3 times, so delicious. My girlfriend and I had the steak. Unfortunately the meat wasn't that great. A little too “done” and dry, not tender either. Too bad. The others were satisfied. The ambience, the service, the view was great. But why on earth were there a good 50 flies on the walls and ceilings in the women's restroom? It's terrible, what is that? Disgusting!! We're always happy to come, but that's a big drawback.

It's not just the unsurpassable view of Passau that makes this place unique. We were there with a wedding party and the food was made especially for us, so I don't know the normal menu, but what was grilled there for us was really excellent. The service was also quick and friendly, which is not easy with such a large group of people. I will definitely come back to try the normal menu.

The view of Passau is indescribable, you can choose between self-service service or with QR code with limited payment options. If you happen to have the right credit card, your order will even be served. The food is below average for my taste, as everything is beautifully prepared, but otherwise very tasteless. We won't be going to this restaurant again, there are better restaurants in Passau itself. The view of the city is really nice, but I also go to a restaurant to eat well.

What a stroke of luck! After a long day of cycling, we were shown out of the youth hostel and ended up in the upper house - even though it was already after the kitchen had closed. Nevertheless, we were welcomed very warmly and the waitress behind the counter really did a great job. We got a place on the terrace and were able to end the evening in peace. As the icing on the cake, there were a few treats from the kitchen at the end. You really feel welcome here, even if you show up outside opening hours. Kind regards and see you again from the Strahle-Boys and Hannah Kater!
