Were in the beer garden. Really great on nice days right next to the lake. However, food and drinks are relatively expensive considering that it is self-service and what is served does not look impressive.

Busy on public holidays, but nice to stop by for a beer and food. However, the food was too expensive, e.g. currywurst and fries €8.90 (18 DM)!!!

We had a salad and the asparagus from the weekly menu. Both tasted very tasty. We would come back any time

Unusually little going on on a rather gray Saturday in April. So pretty quiet. Beer garden empty.

This was a grateful place to stop for a break on our May hike. Lots of seats, well attended.

Unfortunately, another failure. The kitchen deadline is taken very seriously here. The kitchen closes at 8:30 p.m. Unfortunately I was only there a few minutes beforehand. You'll get very pissed off for this. It's a shame, actually a very nice location The service at the checkout and with the beer is legendary and very nice. Unfortunately, otherwise no longer recommended

Good home-style & excellent authentic Baden cuisine in a wonderful setting right on the lake and surrounded by the forest. Also a great atmosphere. Something different and a ray of hope in the otherwise monotonous gastronomic landscape of Pforzheim.

Very nice restaurant located by the lake with beautiful hiking trails in the area. The guest rooms and the beer garden are very comfortably furnished and very clean. The food is excellent and of very good quality. A little more expensive, but appropriate for the quality of food and freshness. The service is competent, friendly and attentive. Every wish was fulfilled. Unfortunately, I deducted two points because the head waiter was very rude and loud with his waitresses in front of the guests. This is unacceptable and no longer appropriate given today's staff shortage in the catering industry. It is always possible to speak to your staff in a respectful tone. Otherwise, this restaurant is highly recommended ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Very nice beer garden Potato salad was homemade but still had a bit of room for improvement in terms of taste. Maultaschen are also homemade and taste very tasty 😋

Unfortunately, the price-performance ratio remained well below our expectations. The price is not appropriate for five asparagus that were still too firm and not well peeled and three potatoes. The breaded veal schnitzel was good, but the other side dishes that were available were clearly too expensive. The prices were acceptable at the same level of quality as before. We probably won't come back like this again.

We had lunch at the Seehaus Restaurant with a hiking group of 25 people. Kitchen and service were top. We ate a la carte and everyone in the group received their food at the same time. I had an asparagus cream soup and the venison ragout with dumplings and red cabbage. Both tasted very good and the portions were a reasonable size. Everyone in the group was very satisfied with our stop at the Seehaus. Great modern German cuisine in a beautiful location. A more than recommended hiking and excursion destination in a beautiful location in the green outskirts of Pforzheim.

We reserved 2 seats and got a great spot in the pavilion by the window with a view of the lake. There is enough staff in the restaurant who were very attentive, friendly and accommodating. The food was very good, there is currently an asparagus menu. We'll be back.

Relaxed and silent self-service beer garden next to a small lake. The self brewed beer and dishes are nice. Order the juicy rump steak medium rare to get medium.

The ambience is top. The outdoor area is also modern and spacious. The food is more than top. More than 12 out of 10 stars. Thank you very much.

Since I only visited the beer garden, I can't judge the service. The view of the lake is really nice, you can sit comfortably, beer garden flair. There was no alternative milk for coffee. The cake was delicious and the dog was allowed to be there too.

The Seehaus Pforzheim scores with a great location and a beautiful ambience right on the lake. The atmosphere is calm and relaxing, ideal for a special occasion or a leisurely meal. The food tastes good and is of high quality, but the high prices do not justify this. Overall a nice restaurant with good cuisine, but the price-performance ratio could be better.

Chic restaurant with a beautiful view. Food is fantastic, although very expensive for normal portion sizes. Allergies are taken into account, unfortunately there is no allergy card on which you can make sure which allergens are in the dishes or ingredients.

Self service but everything freshly made

It's a dream with you. We had a very, very beautiful wedding celebration with you. The service was simply top-notch. The food was incredibly delicious, the meat cooked to perfection. We have only positive things to say. The catering for the guests and communication were beyond excellent. Everyone was very impressed. Many thanks to the entire team.

A very nice country inn located by a lake. In summer also with an outdoor terrace. Cozy atmosphere, friendly welcome and service, the food was freshly prepared, was of good quality and tasted very tasty. The price is a bit higher, but definitely justified. Very good starting or finishing point for hikes.

I was very disappointed with the food. Roast was dry from warming up. Taste bad. The meat in the soup also tasted bad. And then prices at a high level...I won't be coming back.

Really great restaurant with a pavilion right on the lake with a large beer garden. The food is very tasty but vegetarians will be disappointed. Only a few main courses on the menu. And it's pretty expensive too.

Good restaurant very close to the zoo. We were in the restaurant and had a very good meal. Service was very accommodating and we were able to get a table at lunchtime during the week even without a reservation. Portions are large and very good. Price accordingly. There is also a children's menu. In summer there is a beautiful beer garden with a small lake outside.

I don't allow myself to judge, some say this, others say that. Go there yourself.

So if we had seen the prices beforehand we wouldn't have gone in. The food was excellent, maybe a little more wouldn't have hurt. The holiday menu with duck leg and Viennese saddle of veal were really, really good. The fries like before. Crispy and delicious. As I said, the price is on the higher side. Anyone who can treat themselves is in good hands here.

After a long walk I wanted to warm up with a nice cup of coffee and a piece of cake. Since I follow a vegan diet, I asked for a latte with oat milk. Unfortunately, it doesn't exist here. I didn't even ask about vegan cake alternatives. Since Nutella is now available in vegan form, no one can claim that vegan nutrition has not reached the mainstream of society. A restaurant that claims to leave almost nothing to be desired has probably missed something.

Rating for the restaurant, not for the beer garden! Table reservation was at 2 p.m. We arrived 10 minutes early and the table wasn't ready yet. This information was given to us and until the table was “ready” (without cutlery or serving), we were ignored. The service at the table was very unfriendly and did not accept a portion of spaetzle with mushroom sauce as an alleged special request. The Wiener Schnitzel was served with cranberries. Surprisingly fitting! Recommended. The beef roulade tasted OK, but the cabbage that came with it was inedible. The duck didn't taste good, it's best not to order it. The ambience was average, nice furniture and a good view of the adjacent lake. However, there is no air circulation in the restaurant and it becomes very stuffy very quickly. Total price for 5 people with 2 starters: ~€180

Very arrogant gentleman on the other end of the line. We wanted to celebrate our civil wedding in your home on December 14th, 2024. When asked whether it was possible to choose the table yourself for this special occasion, it was answered in the negative with the explanation: "we decide where to sit you". After we pointed out to the gentleman that we were not used to this rude service and this kind of tonality from your establishment, we were simply told that we didn't need to come. We are not used to this behavior on your part and will never frequent your house again under these circumstances. Absolutely no recommendation.

I had the pleasure of eating at the lake house and it was a great experience! The food was excellent - from traditional dishes like sauerbraten and schnitzel to fine side dishes like dumplings and red cabbage, everything was perfectly seasoned and freshly prepared. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting.

Very nice excursion restaurant. We celebrated my birthday here with over 20 people and were extremely happy with everything. The staff is very friendly and attentive. The food we ordered in advance (beef fillet and pork medallions) was excellent. Compliments to the kitchen. All of my guests were very satisfied and we can 100% recommend this restaurant.

The food in the Seehaus was delicious and plentiful. Everything came to the table very quickly, the children's meals first (shouldn't be worth mentioning, but unfortunately it is).

I can't even put it into words. The combination of outdoor dining and indoor dining in a beautiful spot on earth was indescribably beautiful. The food was delicious. The service perfect. The offer is more than sufficient. Unforgettably simple. Thanks.

I rate the restaurant here. Compared to before, the quality of the food has decreased. Duck leg wasn't crispy and the red cabbage was mediocre in taste. Salad plate lavish, nothing special and not appropriate for the price. There are no containers to take uneaten food with you. Just a piece of aluminum foil into which everything is squished together and rolled up. The Asian ladies in service are friendly, but understand little German. The toilet was in a deplorable condition.

The Seehaus restaurant in Pforzheim is a real gem! With its fantastic location right on the lake, it offers a unique atmosphere that invites you to linger. The food is of the best quality, freshly prepared and wonderfully presented - a delight for the eyes and palate. The team at the Seehaus is attentive, warm and makes you feel completely comfortable as a guest. Especially on sunny days, the terrace is a highlight that should not be missed. A perfect place for special occasions or simply to enjoy a good time. Highly recommended!

Seehaus Pforzheim is a beautiful place to go for a walk and then fortify yourself in the Seehaus. You can also fortify yourself in the beer garden, just as nicely as in the restaurant.

Settle down here, it's good to be here! A special meal - exquisitely prepared and good in taste. As the Swabian says: There is nothing better than ebbes guats!

I rate the beer garden! Wonderful beer garden by the lake. Self-service. Everything that is packaged is ok. Otherwise, no food. And way too expensive for that.

After a long hike, I decided on a delicious steak and was pleasantly surprised. Afterwards we took a short walk around the lake and continued the hike with a full stomach.

Cyclists, only beer garden, chef at the checkout good, the rest leaves a lot to be desired, earlier tarte flambée stand etc. much better, fries were already mushy twice.

Old forester's house, idyllic and beautifully decorated. Solid restaurant inside & terrace, outside beer garden with self service. Regional dishes of above-average quality also in the beer garden. Beautiful lake in front of it. Ideal Saturday afternoon coffee location. Very Black Forest-like, even with an opulent cherry cake. Sometimes with live music in the beer garden. Make a reservation in the restaurant! 1km further towards Pforzheim is a beautiful zoo with a climbing garden. Something for the whole family. Beautiful hiking and cycling trails outside.

Nice location for a beer garden. Now well developed. The only thing that is unsatisfactory is the situation at the checkout, as those who just get drinks push in front of the others and so the food gets cold.

Very nice beer garden on a small lake. Unfortunately, the food selection is only snack-like, but it's still ok. What bothers me most is that you stand in the drinks/cash line with your warm food and it's cold by the time you get to the table. The counter should have been planned the other way around in terms of the process. Still worth a detour again and again.

This review is explicitly for the beer garden. The ambience is fantastic. The food is also really good, especially the breaded fish. There is only one star deduction for the service that doesn't always have it under control. Waiting 35 minutes for food during the lunch break while numerous guests who arrived later get theirs first is quite frustrating and unfortunately not an isolated case.

Really great beer garden with a great selection of large and small dishes and drinks in a very nice atmosphere. The self-service concept is a bit complicated but in the end it works well and quite quickly. Lunch menu changes daily. The only drawback: the iced coffee was really not good. Everything full of ice crystals.

Always friendly staff, good food and drinks, but the coffee, like anywhere else in Germany, is a disaster... The only thing that generally (applies to the whole of Germany) is good to drink Cappuccino... You want good, fine coffee... In Croatia, the only... .

If you don't want to go to the great beer garden, you'll be well served in the restaurant.

Also a great location for wedding service providers! I was able to photograph a wedding there last week and was greeted so warmly.
