Heuberger in Berlin

Good place. Unfortunately, we'd already eaten, but the food looked good. The service was attentive and quick. Paulaner isn't my favorite, but they have a glass washer...great.

The food was good. The beer selection was also good for a restaurant that doesn't specialize in craft beer. However, contrary to the website information, Bock beer was no longer available. The service when paying was problematic: Why we had to put up with a rude response from the young waitress who took the money after pointing out the bill was incorrect is hard to understand (no thanks for the tip). We won't have to have that again...

Card payments starting at €30. The unfriendly host rounded up as a matter of course, pocketed the remaining change as a tip, and left. Only after asking did he give the change.

If you appreciate hearty cuisine and like a rustic, cozy atmosphere, this is the place for you. Of course, the prices are a bit on the higher side, but everything is just right. A clear recommendation: the homemade cheese spaetzle; no Swabian can do it better.

If you like German cuisine, vegetarian or vegan options are also great. The service is friendly and helpful.

A great inn with a small beer garden. The menu is varied and well-thought-out. The Wiener Schnitzel with sweet mustard was a delight. The breading was golden brown and cooked to perfection, and the meat was extremely tender. The fried potatoes were well-seasoned. The side salad was fresh, and the dressing had a good balance of sweetness and acidity. The service was friendly and attentive. The prices are reasonable. All in all, the visit was worthwhile. We'd be happy to come back.

Be warned of this establishment if you want to enjoy a friendly, attentive atmosphere. It all began when three of us sat down in a completely empty beer garden and one of us dared to put a chair at the head of the table. We were told in deadly serious terms that this was not permitted or allowed here. – Excuse me? I can understand that a chair might get in the way of service, but this was not the case here; the beer garden was completely empty. Which was also due to the cool temperatures. When we asked if they had blankets for guests, they confirmed that they did. But after asking three times to three different servers, we still didn't get any, so we sat inside. Our orders—wurstsalat, schnitzel, and asparagus—didn't arrive at the table at the same time, and Maultaschen were brought instead, and we had to complain quite forcefully to get the sausage salad we ordered. There was no stress due to being fully booked. The place was only half full. The schnitzel was okay, but the fried potatoes weren't: rather mushy, and mixed with the decorative lettuce leaves – all for a rather confident price of 18.90 for the simple pork schnitzel. But the "best for last": 29.90 was on the bill. "Card payments only from 30 euros," I was told, "that's what it says on the menu." Is that even possible? Because of 10 cents and because I hadn't read the terms and conditions, we were forced to combine the bills so we could pay by card after all. – Unfriendly, petty, inflexible, expensive – and not even particularly good: NEVER AGAIN Heuberger!

Very good, albeit small, beer garden. Great selection of traditional German food and beers. The staff is friendly and welcoming. The two trees create a lot of shadow, ideal for summer days. Credit card payment accepted above 30€.

A delightful surprise in Berlin! For the modest price of €24, I was treated to a feast: 6 asparagus spears and 3 tiny steamed potatoes. The waiter suggested this dish when I mentioned my dairy allergy, conveniently forgetting to mention that the potatoes were a luxury add-on at over €4. And to top it all off — literally — a €4 tip was automatically added, no questions asked. A truly unforgettable moment of minimalist cuisine… at a maximalist price. Thank you, but never again.

I really enjoy going to Heuberger, but I always have mixed expectations. Quite often pretty good, but sometimes a complete disaster. You're always on the safe side with the schnitzels, otherwise...? What is true is that the acoustics in the interior are disastrously loud. A few sound-absorbing carpets should be hung there, or something similar. I recommend it to people with a willingness to take risks. --- Afterwards, about a year later, I ate indoors again due to the weather, and it was bad. Not the food, but the acoustics. ACOUSTICS ACOUSTICS!!! So if you have to shout yourself to drown out the loudness of everyone else's shouting, that is unreasonable. Everyone can imagine how this will shake out. So as long as there hasn't been massive investment in insulation measures for the interior, I can only recommend the store for outside.

Immer wieder gut dort. Gutes Essen, aufmerksame Bedienung.... vielleicht ein bisschen laut in manchen Ecken, aber gut ist halt ein Restaurant,wo auch große Gruppen hinkommen.

We had 2 pork schnitzels and asparagus, with a beer, a white wine and a Fanta. Beer and Fanta tasted good, white wine was also good. The schnitzels were good, tasted good, were decent schnitzels, but the asparagus was not good. Asparagus was too woody and the sauce was too sweet.

As always, the food was a pleasure, the service was very friendly, my friends who were with me were all very enthusiastic.

I had a funeral service there, lots of guests, big bill. The food was okay, the service was okay, the previously agreed special menu was not ready, but was added later. Nevertheless: I need an invoice for the tax office, I've been waiting for it for a month. Countless email inquiries are of no use, I keep being put off. It can't be that difficult for you. Well, obviously. Just annoying.

Oh well. Solid but really nothing special at all. I remembered it somehow differently from ten years ago.

I wanted to go in there for lunch today, a waiter/cook, whatever, was standing outside smoking. I asked if you were allowed to pay by card. He looked at me strangely and said “from 30 euros” That was a lie and I asked myself why he did that...

Since we come from Hanover, it is possible to ask in person at the schlacht tavern. Unfortunately, we didn't even receive a reply to our email. It's a shame :-(

The Heuberger is certainly no longer an insider tip, because without a reservation it will be difficult to get a table despite the large dining room. And that's right, because great service, with particular attention to child-friendliness, delicious food and a cozy atmosphere come together here. The menu is home-style, the schnitzels and spaetzle are delicious and the prices are fair. Always welcome.

Had dinner here with a larger group for work. The service was great, drinks and food came quickly. Had the Maultaschen and they were simply fantastic. I'd love to come back.

The food was just okay for the price, the spaetzle was very salty, the salad was good and the goulash could have been a little bigger. It was extremely loud in the store, making it very difficult to have a conversation. We weren't asked whether we would like something more to drink throughout the evening.

High quality food, schnitzel with different breadings such as Bavarian (with sweet mustard) or with horseradish is highly recommended. The Kaiserschmarrn is also highly recommended, but be sure to share it with several people or order it as a single dish.

Very good address for German cuisine. The food was so good that unfortunately we could only take a photo of the children's plate. Onion roast, Wiener Schnitzer, goulash... all very tasty.

A very loud atmosphere, Food is OK. Veal schnitzel was very tough. When the wrong food arrived, you wanted to argue with the guests - that's not possible!

Outside it's a Bavarian beer garden, inside it's the intolerant Berlin snout with no heart: Why do you want to sit at the bar? No strollers, no cannabis consumption (do you even want guests???) -> not recommended, it's a shame

We had a nice evening with friends, everything was very tasty, despite there being a lot of guests, our food came quickly. The previous reservation was good, we wouldn't have been able to get a seat spontaneously - on a Monday evening.

All in all, a nice, cozy inn. The seasonal Oktoberfest beer is delicious and recommended. I also really liked the red wine goulash. We were always served quickly and didn't have to wait long. The only deduction is for the very high prices and the fact that they stand out as special

Relaxed Swabian/Bavarian restaurant with a beer garden. Some sheep, strollers with a beer garden are not welcome and it is therefore unattractive for young parents and the food is a bit expensive (6 euros for a side salad). Otherwise there is delicious beer and super nice service here!

It's a real shame, I usually enjoyed going here and the food was delicious and the portions were large. A few days ago I ordered a summer salad for just under 18 euros that was the size of a side salad. It wasn't dressed, there was just a bit of dressing on the side of the plate. I hope that changes again otherwise it's not value for money. Unfortunately my drink was also forgotten but it was also very busy.

A real insider tip, for me anyway... Landed here by chance and 100%, no, 120% 😉, satisfied! We had Viennese-style schnitzel with fried potatoes, Baden sausage salad, cheese spaetzle and a salad with feta. Everything really tasty and good! Beer was also great, nice young service and a rustic atmosphere. Gladly again!

Full pub, quick, friendly and competent service staff who will sometimes give you tips that are not profit-oriented. That's rare. Portions quite large, well presented and very tasty. Super. I was happy to be invited here by friends and will definitely come here without an invitation.

The food was really delicious. Flädlesupp nice and strong and round, just a little small for the price. I would have liked a slightly larger bowl with a little more content. Because the parsley became too dominant. Onion roast is highly recommended, unfortunately my first one wasn't done to the degree I wanted it but that was fixed immediately. Homemade spaetzla according to taste, nice caramelized onions, very round. Unfortunately I had to look for some sauce, here at Schwoba it has to be Schwimma, as they say, that wasn't the case and charging an extra sauce at 4 euros 90 is a bit high for the little bit of sauce that came. It would have been 1 euro 90 for extra sauce but not 4 euros because sauce is not an appetizer. But it costs almost as much. As a Swabian restaurant, I would like to see something more Swabian when it comes to the sauce on the plate, or to offer the re-ordered sauce more cheaply. I would love to come back and eat again. My score is still at the top, I only had two or three small points of criticism. Ms. Heuberger for the extra sauce, the pricing policy might be worth reconsidering. As a real schwob, I say that it was hot gmundet was really legger just net goiza with Dr soß bidde 😂👍🏻 because what send Spätzla without sauce then the love stops uff 😂

Unfortunately the reception was very unfriendly, but the other service staff were nice and good. Almost everyone in our group of eight was very happy with the food. Too bad you can't make a reservation outside!

At least there are two stars because the food at least tastes pretty good. Boycotting the store after my last visit though. I wanted to eat something there with the family and ordered. The drinks came quite quickly. However, after almost an hour we noticed that guests who had arrived much later had already received their food. When we brought this up, they had to admit to us that they had forgotten our food order. Since we didn't want to wait any longer for our food, we decided to eat somewhere else. They made us pay for the drinks and we left. So after an incident like that, I expect you to take over the drinks or issue a small voucher worth the drinks for a next visit. But nothing there! We won't do that to ourselves anymore! A pity

That's Berlin. A corner pub like this is part of every neighborhood and is always well attended by sophisticated middle-aged people from the immediate area - a meeting place for the neighborhood - where visitors are always welcome. You don't expect a culinary explosion here, rather a hearty one, but you get the right basis for a lovely evening. The staff is always Berlin-Ur-friendly and completes the picture. I'm always happy to come back to you.

Update 8/7/24: not only is this place excellent. It has got better. Great international crowd and they have a new Kellner whose service is FIRST CLASS. You don’t wait. You get your drinks. You pay. And it’s all with a smile and polite chit chat. This is more like it. Much more like it. Keep it up. Fantastic Zwiebel Kuchen and Federweißer in the Biergarten under the weak October sun. Couldn’t have hoped for a nicer afternoon. Go whilst the season remains!

Very comfortable sitting under the large linden tree. Food is tasty and value for money is good. Dogs are allowed and get water immediately! Great team and great atmosphere!

Unfortunately disappointing! I ordered a veal schnitzel with potato salad and couldn't eat it. The salad consisted mostly of oil. The schnitzel was unseasoned and tough. Way too expensive for the quality!!! Dessert and service was fine. It was the second and last time for us 4 people Almost €200
