The ambiance was lovely, but unfortunately, the overall experience was disappointing. Upon entering, we were immediately greeted by a very unfriendly employee who asked if we had a reservation – even though the large room was completely empty. He did show us to a table, but returned after only a few minutes to take our order, which felt rather awkward. The food arrived in a reasonable amount of time, but was far too expensive for the quality. The soup, at almost €9, is, in my opinion, extortionate. The schnitzel consisted mostly of breading, and the fried potatoes were also disappointing. Furthermore, the prices online didn't match those in the restaurant – they were about 30% higher. This is not a restaurant we would visit again!

Probably the best schnitzel in town. We come here often and love it. Prices are reasonable and the service is quick, even when the place is packed.

We've been loyal guests for years. This time there was a specials menu, and we ordered the Oktoberfest tarte flambée with white sausage and sauerkraut, along with a soup. The waitress asked again, and we both confirmed our orders. When the food arrived within a reasonable time, however, the waitress brought us plain white sausages. When we explained that we had ordered something else, she insisted with astonishing persistence that we were mistaken. Three times, she emphasized in an annoyed tone that we had ordered it that way. After a long wait, the tarte flambée finally arrived – without sauerkraut. Upon asking the friendly man with a beard in the dining room (whom we've known for some time), we learned that the sauerkraut had simply been omitted because it was "too mushy." Such behavior is simply unprofessional – either stick to the menu or inform the guest beforehand. Despite everything, we still gave a generous tip when paying. When I told the waitress with a smile that things like that could happen, she angrily replied that she hadn't made a mistake—it was us. That's when I lost my temper. I pointed out loudly and clearly that two guests probably know best what they were ordering, and that their behavior was rude and disrespectful, and we wouldn't be coming back. My wife stayed for a moment to calmly explain that this was not how you treat guests, but there was no way she could compare to this unfriendly waitress. This is not how you treat long-standing guests. Unless there is a sincere apology or reparation, I can unfortunately only give one star and stay away; the experience was too offensive.

Beautiful pub, delicious food, and in the summer a truly cozy beer garden in Schöneberg!

I ordered goulash with braised beef, and it was the best I've ever tasted, hearty and delicious. The beer was also very good. It took over 20 minutes to serve the dish, but it was worth it.

The service was friendly and pleasant. I was there two years ago and had schnitzel with potato salad, which I already thought was bad and commented on. Unfortunately, nothing has changed. It's greasy and bland. Perhaps they should switch to other dishes. I'm happy to send the kitchen my recipe. It always gets praise. :-)

Swabian cuisine in Berlin! Almost like in the countryside, where every house is a little house! It tastes good, right? Excellent service, friendly, relaxed. Atmosphere... Well, a little simple, yes; especially the chairs could be a bit less hard, but you've already eaten by then. And simplicity has its charm, too. (Now that the steam bakery apparently no longer exists, perhaps the best/only one of its kind? I don't know, I'll have to investigate.) Swabian cuisine in Berlin, very like in Swabia, yum! Great service, friendly, relaxed. The atmosphere is a bit simple; above all the chairs got a little hard on the butt after a while. But hey, by then, you're done eating anyway. And simplicity has its charms too.

I saw a review on here that says that "foreign cards not accepted" They are accepted though. I've paid with a non-EU credit card without issue. Maybe it's an old sign.* (Possibly no foreign debit cards? I'm not sure) I also read a review that said they only take cash, this is also not the case.* As one person commented, I agree that they have some of the best German food that I've found in Berlin. I just wish that they had some Sauerbraten or Rouladen on the menu. Otherwise, it does get busy and service can be a bit slow at times, but relax, that's normal, plus it's a garden of beer and tasty food!

Enjoyable experience all round.

We hosted a coffee reception there after the funeral. It was a thoroughly successful celebration with friends and family. We had a private corner for our smaller group (22 people). The cakes were delicious, and everyone praised our requested goulash soup (a very good addition and well-seasoned). The ambiance is typical of a beer garden, tasteful, and very well-maintained. The service was very attentive. We were so happy to be able to remember the deceased there in peace, style, and beauty. Thank you again.

€4.90 for 100ml of gravy – ridiculous! Food was decent, service was rude (the best tables were systematically left empty), atmosphere was good.

Beautiful beer garden, delicious menu, and good draft beer. But: the prices, especially for the food, are quite steep. Among other dishes, we had Wiener Schnitzel with potato salad for €18.90. The price is okay, but the portion size isn't right. Yes, the owner will say that quality comes at a price, but other good Austrian restaurants offer significantly larger portions for the same price. So that argument doesn't hold water. The service is rather chaotic, not really on its toes, and always seems stressed and irritated. It's like, "Don't even talk to me." We had a lot of trouble ordering more beer and certainly would have drunk more if the waiter had paid us any attention. They didn't even ask for dessert or anything. The service simply isn't reaping the revenue it could. What a shame!

We've visited the Heuberger several times and were generally satisfied. However, on our last two visits, there was a recurring problem with a particular waiter: He didn't really help us find a spot for the stroller. His behavior made us feel unwelcome. On our last visit, we wanted to sit outside—we understand it's a bit cramped—but he didn't offer us the option of an inside seat instead. Just like the first time, even though the inside was empty, he sat us at a very secluded table, cutting us off from the rest of the restaurant's atmosphere. It's particularly unfortunate that this spoils the overall impression, as the restaurant otherwise seems quite family-friendly. We can't rule out that his behavior also had something to do with the fact that we aren't native speakers. We sincerely hope that the management of the restaurant pays attention to such feedback to ensure that all guests—with or without strollers, regardless of their background—feel welcome.

Absolute disaster! We arrived at the beer garden with 11 people. All the tables were free and unreserved, yet we were forbidden to put two tables together. The reason given was: "We need the passage." – completely ridiculous. The service was extremely rude and disrespectful from the start. When we wanted to cancel our meals because of this treatment, we were forbidden to do so. Instead, we had to eat the completely overpriced dishes. Hospitality = 0, service = 0, prices completely exorbitant. We only stayed to finish the beers we ordered and reluctantly took the food with us. That's not how you treat guests. Never again!

The Kaiserschmarren was actually just warm, sweet pastry. No raisins, no caramelized sugar. But it would have been enough for three.

The food was expensive by Berlin standards, but that wouldn't have been a problem. The service was generally very inflexible. Moving tables was prohibited, as was leaving a stroller. That's not appropriate in a beer garden. Canceling a meal wasn't even possible, even a minute later. This was incomprehensible to us. We were forced to order the food we had already ordered to go, which we inadvertently took with us.

Very good food, and the beer garden is also very nice. However, the service is sometimes quite unfriendly, especially when it comes to seating in the beer garden. Which is a bit of a shame, because the food is really delicious. So, you should definitely be prepared for this beforehand and decide whether to visit the restaurant anyway.

It was very crowded! We got the last two seats. After we'd finished our meals, the waiter came over and said, "Okay, guys, you still have a quarter of an hour!"

We had the horseradish schnitzel, the spaetzle with chanterelle mushrooms, and the Kaiserschmarrn for dessert... Everything was excellent; we couldn't find anything negative. We actually ordered a small Kaiserschmarrn, but it turned out to be a large portion. But it sounded so delicious, so we ate the large portion. Way too much, but incredibly delicious!

Terrible service from the sassy blonde waitress, refusing to speak any other language than German, or even trying to communicate with foreigners. The place might charm you in, don't fall for it.

I've visited this restaurant several times while in Berlin and have always been very satisfied. Therefore, we wanted to eat there today as well. There were five of us, had made a reservation in advance, and there were several large tables available outside in the beer garden. Nevertheless, we were assigned a small table in a corner that wobbled badly and was clearly too small for five people. When a table for two became available very close to us, we asked the waiter to move it to create a little more space. However, the reaction was unexpectedly unfriendly. The waiter refused to move the tables together and instead gave us the choice of either staying at the small table, eating inside, or leaving the restaurant. Due to the inadequate communication and unaccommodating treatment, we ultimately decided to leave the restaurant. It's a shame, because our previous experiences had been consistently positive. Friendly service is just as important to a successful restaurant experience as good food.

If I'm paying 19 euros for spaetzle, I expect at least a normal tone from the waitress. And apparently, I'm not the only one who feels that way 😉

Very bad and above all unfriendly service

A quaint little shop in a nice neighborhood. Lots of Swabian dishes, but I found myself more drawn to the weekly menu. The herring with beetroot and hash browns was right up my alley and went well with the tasty (Bavarian) beer. We'll be back.

I've been to this restaurant many times and have always appreciated the service and ambiance. Unfortunately, my last visit was disappointing due to the behavior of a young waitress. I was having lunch on the terrace with my partner. The waitress offered us two possible tables to choose from. After we had chosen one and ordered the set menu, I noticed that the sun was shining directly in my face and I felt very uncomfortable. Since there were many free tables on the terrace and only four of them occupied, we decided to move to the neighboring table, which was in the shade. The waitress's reaction was completely inappropriate: She came outside specifically to rudely reprimand us for changing tables—even though this had no impact on the service. I even had to explain to her the reason for our change. This behavior was completely unnecessary and made what should have been a lovely meal for two unpleasant. What was particularly annoying was that shortly after us, another waiter offered two tables to a new couple to choose from. They then asked to be seated at a third table, which was granted without issue. I'm sorry to have to write this review, as I've always had positive experiences at this restaurant and greatly appreciate the rest of the staff. But it's a shame that the unprofessional attitude of one person can ruin an entire visit.

Because it was really delicious 😋😋 AND the consistency 👍. That doesn't mean the schnitzel 😋 was bad. It wasn't, but good and also quite large (Viennese style); The salad was simply more "succulent" - The non-alcoholic Hacker was nice and soft, easy to enjoy 👍 - And the ice cream was very tasty and didn't seem overly sweet. 👍 - The service was friendly and attentive, discreet; not pushy, I mean. The food was good. The beer selection was also good for a restaurant that doesn't specialize in craft beer. However, contrary to the website information, Bock beer was no longer available. The service when paying was problematic: Why we had to put up with a rude response from the young waitress who took the money after pointing out the bill was incorrect is hard to understand (no thanks for the tip). We won't have to have that again...

Card payments starting at €30. The unfriendly host rounded up as a matter of course, pocketed the remaining change as a tip, and left. Only after asking did he give the change.

If you appreciate hearty cuisine and like a rustic, cozy atmosphere, this is the place for you. Of course, the prices are a bit on the higher side, but everything is just right. A clear recommendation: the homemade cheese spaetzle; no Swabian can do it better.

Be warned of this establishment if you want to enjoy a friendly, attentive atmosphere. It all began when three of us sat down in a completely empty beer garden and one of us dared to put a chair at the head of the table. We were told in deadly serious terms that this was not permitted or allowed here. – Excuse me? I can understand that a chair might get in the way of service, but this was not the case here; the beer garden was completely empty. Which was also due to the cool temperatures. When we asked if they had blankets for guests, they confirmed that they did. But after asking three times to three different servers, we still didn't get any, so we sat inside. Our orders—wurstsalat, schnitzel, and asparagus—didn't arrive at the table at the same time, and Maultaschen were brought instead, and we had to complain quite forcefully to get the sausage salad we ordered. There was no stress due to being fully booked. The place was only half full. The schnitzel was okay, but the fried potatoes weren't: rather mushy, and mixed with the decorative lettuce leaves – all for a rather confident price of 18.90 for the simple pork schnitzel. But the "best for last": 29.90 was on the bill. "Card payments only from 30 euros," I was told, "that's what it says on the menu." Is that even possible? Because of 10 cents and because I hadn't read the terms and conditions, we were forced to combine the bills so we could pay by card after all. – Unfriendly, petty, inflexible, expensive – and not even particularly good: NEVER AGAIN Heuberger!

A delightful surprise in Berlin! For the modest price of €24, I was treated to a feast: 6 asparagus spears and 3 tiny steamed potatoes. The waiter suggested this dish when I mentioned my dairy allergy, conveniently forgetting to mention that the potatoes were a luxury add-on at over €4. And to top it all off — literally — a €4 tip was automatically added, no questions asked. A truly unforgettable moment of minimalist cuisine… at a maximalist price. Thank you, but never again.

I really enjoy going to Heuberger, but I always have mixed expectations. Quite often pretty good, but sometimes a complete disaster. You're always on the safe side with the schnitzels, otherwise...? What is true is that the acoustics in the interior are disastrously loud. A few sound-absorbing carpets should be hung there, or something similar. I recommend it to people with a willingness to take risks. --- Afterwards, about a year later, I ate indoors again due to the weather, and it was bad. Not the food, but the acoustics. ACOUSTICS ACOUSTICS!!! So if you have to shout yourself to drown out the loudness of everyone else's shouting, that is unreasonable. Everyone can imagine how this will shake out. So as long as there hasn't been massive investment in insulation measures for the interior, I can only recommend the store for outside.

Immer wieder gut dort. Gutes Essen, aufmerksame Bedienung.... vielleicht ein bisschen laut in manchen Ecken, aber gut ist halt ein Restaurant,wo auch große Gruppen hinkommen.

We had 2 pork schnitzels and asparagus, with a beer, a white wine and a Fanta. Beer and Fanta tasted good, white wine was also good. The schnitzels were good, tasted good, were decent schnitzels, but the asparagus was not good. Asparagus was too woody and the sauce was too sweet.

As always, the food was a pleasure, the service was very friendly, my friends who were with me were all very enthusiastic.

Nevertheless: I need an invoice for the tax office, I've been waiting for it for a month. Countless email inquiries are of no use, I keep being put off. It can't be that difficult for you. Well, obviously. Just annoying.

Oh well. Solid but really nothing special at all. I remembered it somehow differently from ten years ago.
