It's okay, but not great. They offer German food, but the quality is mediocre. The service is okay, but not outstanding.

Waited for fifteen minutes today: no service and got a rude comment from the bartender as I was leaving. I used to come here regularly, several times a week. Probably not anymore.

A grumpy, overly irritable waiter ruined our evening. Staff shortages and parking problems notwithstanding... In the end, he even cheated us on the tip (unfortunately, we didn't check the receipt right away).

We've eaten at Deichgraf several times, both for lunch and à la carte. The food has always been delicious, and the staff very nice and friendly. The portion sizes are generous enough for everyone. The prices are reasonable.

German restaurant. Despite, or perhaps because of, its age, this restaurant has a special charm. It's rare to find a restaurant in Berlin that has undergone multiple changes of ownership but has remained in the same location for over 100 years! The new paint job has done the place a world of good, and the owners also attach great importance to the interesting interior decor, which consists of many different original old advertising boards and signs. The food is delicious and arrives hot, and the service is friendly and attentive. The beer garden in front of the restaurant invites even "short-term visitors" to take a break. The fresh beers are mostly on tap and sell well, including regional ones! It was a pleasant evening on a pleasant Friday.

A typical neighborhood pub, it offers good food, a great atmosphere, and top-notch service. While it's mostly frequented by regulars, tourists are welcome.

Unfortunately, Saturday evenings are only open until 10 pm. One point deducted for this.

Very good German cuisine. We were here for lunch and shared the Camembert as a starter. The Camembert is homemade, and I can also recommend it as a main course. The lunch menu was delicious and reasonably priced. The service was very friendly, and we felt at home.

It's always nice to come here. The food was super delicious 😋. Since we had 10 different dishes and everyone was extremely satisfied, it can only be delicious. The waiter even joined in on the fun...unfortunately, that doesn't happen everywhere anymore. Sorry for the guests who had to suffer from our noise... But we'll be back. And thank you for helping to make it a great afternoon.

My wife and I came here today at 1:00 PM for a bite to eat. The lunch menu impressed me with the quality of the execution. The potatoes with red pepper and meat were really delicious. Old Berlin restaurant..very good food and beer

I came here with my colleague for a small celebration. Everything was fine until the bill. The older Indian waiter was extremely rude — definitely worth only 1 star. If you want to spend your money just to be treated with disrespect, this is the place to go.

It's nice that they offer a good-value lunch menu here. Fish Friday is especially my cup of tea. In the summer, of course, they serve it in the beautiful beer garden. It's great that there are still places like this in the neighborhood.

Update: New management is working! It's a shame that the garden has been "spruced up" so much; the still quite beautiful ambiance no longer seems as quaint. But the food is better again, and the service is very friendly. Good, down-to-earth cuisine, especially hearty Berlin dishes, is highly recommended. Very friendly, attentive, and courteous staff! They even brought a candle for the birthday girl. The food was delicious and plentiful. The location is on a quiet side street. We sat outside and it was very pleasant. We highly recommend the restaurant!

I stopped by for a beer and a bite to eat. It's a great place to sit outside in the sun. Despite the current roadworks, there's no traffic and it's quiet. The interior design consists of purchasable enamel signs. Cheers!

A cozy restaurant with delicious German cuisine and a rustic atmosphere. Outdoor seating is secluded and comfortable. The service is courteous—not intrusive—and checks in on things from time to time. The food is always homemade and excellent.

Four of us were there, and everyone was satisfied. Everyone enjoyed the food, and the service was excellent. The mashed liver Berlin style could have been a bit hotter, but that's nothing to complain about. It was delicious, and the liver was amazing. We'd love to come back.

German cuisine is well-executed, and the small beer garden is cozy. Not to mention the staff, relaxed and attentive. I can only recommend this place, and we'll be happy to come back.

Horrific customer service, sat for 10-15 min waiting for a soul to place order. Felt totally ignored and I politely walked out. Ofc, food doesn’t come for free, Here the food never came.. Will cross by it but never go there !!!

We arrived here at 12:03 on a weekday. We ordered the dish of the day. We were served very quickly. The portion was not very large, but the price of 8.90 euros was pleasing. Please note that such a price is only available for the dish of the day. We were impressed by the taste of the dish, the speed of service, and the affordable price. We will definitely come back here. However, one should be careful as the tables fill up very quickly.

This is a restaurant with a very good selection of dishes and a wide variety of beers.

If you are in a hurry (even if not), I would not recommend this place at all. More than half an hour to bring the food. When I asked for how much time and they said it will take even more I cancelled the order and left. It was midday menu with no drink or anything else. I don’t think the food is that good so I will never come back.

A wonderful, cozy and quiet place in the middle of the hustle and bustle of Wedding. Food was delicious, rustic, down-to-earth. We had schnitzel with asparagus. For me the asparagus could have been a little firmer, but it was still tasty. The service was great! Friendly and charming. We sat around the garden for a long time with wine. A wonderful evening!

The Deichgraf... has been an integral part of the Sprengelkiez for decades. The outside area is cozy. Update July 18, 2024. Since July 15th 24, the dike count offers lunch. From Monday to Friday, a different dish every day for €8.90. Today I was able to enjoy the beef roulade with red cabbage and potatoes and it was super tasty. As usual, the service was very friendly and quick. Absolutely recommended. Keep it up, dear Deichgraf team. You do an exemplary job 👍 Today, February 15, 2025, we had stuffed cabbage and veal liver. What a pleasure 😊

We had stuffed cabbage and drinks, the service was nice. The cabbage roulade was in a delicious sauce, but it was unusually sour and the filling was not hot.

After work we went to see the dike engineer at around 1:15 p.m. There is a sign outside that says “lunch until 4 p.m.”. Day tickets for lunch were available in the pub. But for next week. When we asked, we were told that there was no lunch offer this week, but that we could choose from the regular menu. No sooner said than done: The request for the dish “Königsberger Klopse” on the menu could not be fulfilled because the chef had not yet finished this meal. So we chose currywurst and tarte flambée. We had to wait over an hour for the food. It was very fresh in the dining room. The handle for the heater confirmed "OFF"; Outside temperature 0 degrees. 😡 So a warm drink to warm up: Hot chocolate... *didn't exist!!!* The food was ok! But nothing special... service friendly. Overall, however, we will avoid the Dikegrapher in the future.

We have known this restaurant for almost ten years. We also took the opportunity to buy them a bottle of Schräge Nuss. Unfortunately, the last two we were greeted by an extremely rude and unfriendly server. Today, we are slowing down and prefer to go elsewhere. Too bad, because the place is very friendly and the food is good quality.

The goose breast with red cabbage and dumplings at Deichgraf was very good! The drinks are cold and delicious. Although the restaurant was busy during Christmas, we didn't have to wait long for our goose breast. The apple strudel was a poem to the palate. Highly recommended! Admittedly, we made the reservation very late (3 hours in advance) and therefore had to wait 5 minutes for the table. Otherwise great! Gladly again. 5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🌟Local stars

The three of us had lunch there. The ambience is lovingly designed with many historical advertising boards and wooden furniture. The service is very attentive and friendly. The food tasted great. We'd love to come back!!!

Wow, after over two weeks of traveling around Germamg, my wife and I couldn't have picked a better restaurant to close out our trip. From the atmosphere to the food to the service, we couldn't be happier to what we experienced. We can proudly say that this was our favorite German meal on our entire trip that took us around most of the country. And we couldn't have done it without our amazing server, Karim. He always made sure we had exactly what we needed, made sure my wife's allergies were worked around, and took my open ended beer request in stride. We couldn't recommend here enough!

The restaurant is certainly very good, but in any case you can see a beautiful sunset on the pedestrian bridge next to it. It's also part of a visit to a restaurant and what's around it.

We have been going there for many years and have always found it very tasty. Unfortunately we didn't find it tasty today. The food came pretty quickly, which made us suspicious. The fried potatoes were fried without onions and you could taste a lot of oil. To get a schnitzel with fried potatoes for almost €19, I hope for better quality. The ratio of meat to breading wasn't right either. The portion was decent.

We dined at this restaurant outside during the week. We were very well received and served. I had chicken with croquettes and mushrooms. It was plentiful but excellent. For dessert, I had the apple fritters. I recommend this restaurant!! Very very good choice.

The location is nice in a beer garden near the Westhafen.. you are warmly welcomed.. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The schnitzel was super soft and super tasty...we would love to come back and try the menu up and down.
