Dollinger in Berlin

Enjoying the last sunny day outside with a delicious beer – this is the perfect place. The service is great, with smiles and a good atmosphere. What more could you want? As for the food, I can only say what I saw. Everything looked delicious.

For breakfast, an omelette with tomato and cheese and a latte macchiato 👍

I didn't eat anything, but the service was friendly and incredibly fast, AND they had Augustiner beer. Beer lovers will understand...

The walls are very reflective, which means it quickly becomes very loud.

Greiz Zackra, the real Preissn!! I had a veal schnitzel (with bread and potatoes) and a great salad, and then a pumpkin soup. It's really, really much. You wouldn't believe it, but it's true. At the end of the day (ashes on my head), I had my salad with me to go home for the morning. In any case: You're at home with the innkeeper and you can watch the stupid Preissn shitting. I'd love to go back!!👍🏼 AND: AUGUSTINER ON TAP!!!

Good menu, not overly loaded. I opted for the tarte flambée, which was delicious. Drinks arrived quickly, and the service was very attentive and friendly.

It was wonderful... Even though we arrived just before closing time, they kept the restaurant open for us. I had the veal schniztel, my friend had the pork schniztel. Both were delicious. The staff was incredibly friendly and regularly asked us if everything was okay. Thank you for everything.

Ich bin Anwohnerin und sitze eigentlich nur im Sommer im Dollinger draußen auf ein Getränk. Jetzt waren wir mal auf ein Frühstück da und haben es sofort bereut. Kaum geheizt, die Tageszeitungen sind weggespart und der Kaffee mit Croissant für 8 Euro war das Einzige unter 10. Touristen finden das vielleicht typisch Berlin, wir fanden es reine Abzocke.

I was there with a friend for a men's evening. The two gentlemen who were on duty that day initially seemed quite listless and the bar table where we wanted to sit was littered with service paraphernalia, so we sat down at the counter.

On Monday evening four of us ate at this restaurant. We ordered the following: veal liver twice, cheese spaetzle once and six different tapas. The food was very good and the quantity was great. Nevertheless, the prices are quite ambitious, you have to know that...

Unfortunately, I personally had very bad experiences here. Yesterday food was delivered to us, it was supposed to be here after half an hour, but it didn't arrive until after an hour and a half. We ordered two simple dishes, one of which was completely missing! The other dish was soggy and cold and had probably been sitting around for a while. The fried potatoes were soggy and inedible. Both very simple dishes cost over €40 together and in my opinion the quality was subpar, I haven't gotten the money back to this day. The restaurant didn't offer me a solution and had no interest in helping me as a customer. It was even assumed that the cook had packed everything and how would I have thought that something was missing. An absolute disgrace. I used to eat here often, but given the quality and customer service, you won't see me here again and my family will also give Dollinger a wide berth. In the end, we paid over €40 for soggy fried potatoes, and unfortunately the rest of the dish was missing. I've never experienced anything like this before.

Relaxed and quiet restaurant. The target group may not be the hipster students, but rather a slightly older generation, but that doesn't make you feel any less comfortable. Breakfast was incredibly tasty and delivered in large portions. It was definitely worth the money!

A shadow of its former self, even if people didn't like the interior design of the nineties in the past, now stuffy pseudo-noble furniture dominates, the service is impersonal, but of course okay. You can tolerate it quite well outside: the sun stays there for the longest time in the warm season

Went there spontaneously for breakfast today with a larger group. Super tasty. Large portions. We particularly liked the extremely friendly and attentive service. Unreserved recommendation!

Solid pub, varied menu, nice staff, you can always find space. The best terrace in the neighborhood. Also a bit impersonal and loud, to justify my 4 stars.

NACHTRAG Okt. 2024: Ich muss leider 2 Sterne abziehen, weil... Nachdem wir bereits mehrmals bei Dollinger gefrühstückt haben, waren wir dieses Mal mit Freunden vor Ort frühstücken. Da wir wussten, dass die große Dollinger Deluxe Platte für 2 Personen für 3 Personen reicht, haben wir "nur" 2 Deluxe Platten für uns 6 bestellt. Bezahlen mussten wir jedoch für 6 Personen, obwohl wir 2 und nicht 3 Platten bestellt haben. Meine Freunde haben mir dies allerdings erst nachdem sie bezahlt haben erzählt. Über diesen Aufpreis hätte man uns vorher informieren müssen, weshalb wir es als Betrug ansehen und 2 Sterne von ehemals 5 abziehen. **** Das Dollinger Restaurant haben wir am Valentinstag per Zufall entdeckt, nachdem wir mehrere Cafés am Kudamm und am Stuttgarter Platz abgeklappert haben. Es ist sehr groß, hat hohe Decken und Tische, die nicht allzu dicht nebeneinander stehen, sodass man jedes Gespräch am Nachbartisch mitbekommt. Wir haben uns für das Frühstück für zwei entschieden und uns wurde eine riesige, sehr liebevoll angerichtete Platte serviert. Alles sah sehr frisch und qualitativ gut aus. Zudem waren die Brötchen sehr frisch und die hartgekochten Eier punktgenau gekocht, sodass sie nicht trocken schmeckten. Auch der frischgepresste Orangensaft war ein Gedicht, da er wunderbar duftete. Da uns nicht nur das Essen, das Ambiente, sondern auch der gute Preis gefallen hat, haben wir das Restaurant einige Tage später erneut und dieses Mal mit Freunden besucht. Auch sie waren begeistert. Da hier alles stimmt, ist das Dollinger am Wochenende sehr gut besucht, weshalb man einen Tisch vorher reservieren sollte.

ADDENDUM Oct. 2024: Unfortunately I have to deduct 2 stars because... After having breakfast at Dollinger several times, this time we had breakfast with friends on site. Since we knew that the large Dollinger Deluxe platter for 2 people was enough for 3 people, we "only" ordered 2 deluxe platters for the 6 of us. However, we had to pay for 6 people, even though we ordered 2 and not 3 plates. However, my friends only told me this after they paid. We should have been informed about this surcharge in advance, which is why we see it as fraud and deducted 2 stars from the previous 5. **** We discovered the Dollinger Restaurant by chance on Valentine's Day after checking out several cafés on Kudamm and Stuttgarter Platz. It is very large, has high ceilings and tables that are not too close to each other so that you can hear every conversation at the next table. We chose breakfast for two and were served a huge, very lovingly prepared platter. Everything looked very fresh and good quality. In addition, the rolls were very fresh and the hard-boiled eggs were cooked perfectly so that they didn't taste dry. The freshly squeezed orange juice was also a poem because it smelled wonderful. Since we liked not only the food, the ambience, but also the good price, we visited the restaurant again a few days later, this time with friends. They were also excited. Since everything is right here, Dollinger is very busy on weekends, which is why you should reserve a table in advance.

We went here with an old neighbour that has a house in Berlin, glad we did. Food was fantastic, service was great and I had a local beer that was great. The weather was so hot 🔥 that we sat inside but the cool breeze came it it was very enjoyable!

Simply great, we have found a new local place to eat when we are in Berlin again. Wonderful food, friendly and fast service without being intrusive but still always having fun. We would be happy to come back and recommend it to others.

Amazing Flammkuchen. But order not too late. Staff is a bit annoyed if you order food after 9pm. I have been there many times and is really great to sit outside and enjoy a good beer or wine. Sometimes there is someone playing saxofone.

A very mediocre place. You won't go in there and be disappointed, but you won't come out thinking "wow" either. We had an English breakfast, where I will praise the amount of food; however, the price is also on the high end, so it fits very well. But the breakfast was a bit lacking: the sausages were boring, the baked beans were lukewarm and just tasted of a little tomato, and the jam wasn't that good. There was also a bit of boring salad that you didn't really know what to use. But the bacon and the eggs were super delicious.

We were here for breakfast. There is plenty of choice, savory, sweet, egg dishes, etc. You can sit outside in the shade and enjoy the hustle and bustle around you. Great coffee options! The service was casual and relaxed.

We had breakfast here. Unfortunately, there were “only” baked rolls with the Dollinger Deluxe and no fresh ones. The fruit and the presentation are top notch. There was freshly squeezed orange juice and delicious salmon. 👍🏻 The cold cuts weren't convincing, but they were okay... In terms of proportions, there should be either 2 rolls more or less cold cuts. Unfortunately not really convincing for €32.90.

I especially like it here in summer because you can sit outside. This restaurant offers a wide selection of breakfast and lunch, as well as evening dishes. The service is very friendly and the atmosphere has something of Berlin in the eighties. The environment is pleasant and quiet. I like coming here.

We like being here. The food is always very good. And the very best waiter in the world works here: Lukasz! Such a nice, likeable, attentive, friendly guy, not intrusive at all and also extremely nice to look at... We'll only come when Lukasz is there. Then the whole evening will be a success! There is a second man in service. He is also very nice and good. But Lukasz... experiences it himself!

We were in Berlin for a weekend for the Grönemeyer concert and had breakfast at Dollinger in Charlottenburg. An absolute MUST. The breakfast was excellent: a nice selection, fresh - tasty - plentiful, served by a friendly hand in a good atmosphere. But the best: the coffee. ☕ I can still taste it on my tongue today. Soooo delicious. Thank you so much for letting me get to know you and your service 🫶

I go to Dollinger every now and then, sometimes just for the delicious cappuccino, sometimes for the cheese spaetzle or a tarte flambée. I've already had breakfast with friends a few times. It was always very tasty and everyone enjoyed it. The numerous trees make it easy to endure even in summer.

Average quality food but the service is really bad. It's a place in front of the children's park but it doesn't serve tap water even if you order an entire meal: you also have to order another paid drink for having tap water. Furthermore, the waitress charged me without my knowledge, while I was paying with the card, the highest tip. When I pointed this out to her, after checking the receipt, she said that if I wanted she could give me the money back; she did not deny the action and I refused the money as the point is the dishonesty. I will never go back there again.
