The two of us went to the crime diner. Persona was super nice. Food was super delicious. The only thing I would say was the atmosphere, with apparently various company parties being held in the hall, was a disturbing factor. You should know that you are taking part in such an event with around 100 other people. Oh, what would also be cool would be a hint where you can park cheaply.

We were here for a crime dinner with a 5-course menu. Everything tasted very good. Special requests were fulfilled (allergy to certain foods). Vegan guests were also well catered for.

I went to the Christmas party, we were received very well, with a glass of champagne or juice. Afterwards we were dressed at the table. There was a 4 course menu. There was already bread and various bread toppings at the table, all of which tasted wonderful. There was starter soup, salads, duck with red cabbage and dumpling. Then dessert. It I really liked it and tasted it too. I just thought it was great. I can only recommend it. The waiters were very hardworking and friendly, we didn't miss anything. I can do the mosquito lock recommend.

We went to Christmas brunch in a beautiful little castle in the middle of the Waldstrasse district. The food was good and plentiful, the selection was also okay. The service was friendly and hardworking. Overall everything went well :)

We had booked the Scottish Christmas. If you expect something Scottish and Christmassy, ​​stay away. The ambience and execution were reminiscent of a coffee trip, but unfortunately without an electric blanket. The quoted price of €110 per person is a disgrace for this “service”.

We went to the Advent buffet and unfortunately it wasn't convincing. As a meat eater I would probably give the food 4 stars, but as a vegan I would unfortunately only give it 1 star. Apparently oat milk was supposed to cost €2 extra and the vegan selection was very disappointing and not signposted. Of the warm food, potato dumplings, red cabbage, Brussels sprouts and frozen mixed vegetables were basically the only vegan food. As a hearty bread topping there was only sausage and cheese and no other spreads. The cake and stollen were supposedly vegan, but somehow the statements were generally a bit confusing, as the scrambled eggs were also supposed to be vegan, which makes me think that the chef doesn't know the difference between vegan and vegetarian. My meat-eating companion described the rest of the meal as mediocre, not bad but nothing special either. Otherwise the building is very beautiful. But the rooms were very full with many guests. Parking in the area costs €1.50 for half an hour and is limited to a maximum of 3 hours.

You get this as a substitute for an Advent brunch for €37.50 as a vegan alternative if you get unexpectedly ill and can't go to the restaurant yourself. The restaurant had 4 hours to pack the brunch replacement to go. Disappointing and inedible.

We were there for brunch. It was full and therefore very loud. The food, medium restaurant quality, the meat like shoe leather, the side dishes (potatoes, etc.) like they were made for a retirement home, so much too soft. The cake was very dry and the pudding tasted like it came from a tetra pack. The best thing was the parking space in front of the door, 8.50 euros for 3 hours.

We went to the Mückenschlösschen for the Celtic night. The reception in the garden with a campfire and mead was lovely. The mead is very, very tasty and was a good start to the evening. There are parking spaces on the street, we were lucky and got one, there aren't really many that are empty because the residents can also park, the parking fees are very high and have to be paid by 11 p.m. The buffet food was good. The suckling pig was outstanding, as was the Breat and Pudding dessert, as well as the Irish casserole. We were very positively surprised. The starter was served in bread which was cool too. The moderator/singer of the band led the evening very well. The program of singing, tap dancing and a fire show was very beautiful and worth seeing. What isn't well solved is how the tables are set up and what you really see at the back. In our opinion, we need a stage that brings the dancers and singers further to the top. You have problems seeing anything, especially with the dancers, and there isn't enough space for everyone to stand up. Then the others can't see anything anymore. Unfortunately, that's a real shame. You have to put the tables differently. The mood was very good. We just had problems understanding what was being sung or said through the microphone. That's a bit of a shame. What really needs to be improved in our opinion is the service and logistics. You ordered something to drink and waited a long time. There were table numbers that were asked for when ordering and yet the drinks were not delivered in a targeted manner. The appetizer was served, it took a long time, just like the first round of drinks. This can be organized much better.

The three of us visited the mosquito castle on the edge of the forest. When we ate there, there was only one other table occupied by guests besides ours. This didn't change significantly during our visit. I found the ambience to be a bit sophisticated but appealing. The service was very friendly and quick at the table. The food itself also came quickly enough. We left satisfied.

I had fond memories of the Mückenschlösschen and that's why we went to see it. I decided on the venison goulash and was really looking forward to it. However, in this case the price/performance ratio did not match. My girlfriend and I had three pieces of meat on our plate, loads of thickened gravy and garnish on the puree with sprouts... doesn't fit at all for a Christmas/autumn meal. How much does €21.95 cost? The portion was sufficient, which was fine. You can make such great sauces from deer meat 🙄 I'm really disappointed and wouldn't recommend it! Don't just increase the prices but also pay attention to quality and don't satiate the guest with thick gravy. Too bad! The staff was very friendly!

Not suitable for disabled people as there are steps into the restaurant and the men's toilet is on the 1st floor and without a lift. Even though we had reserved a day in advance, the table was not set. The service was fine. The food was just average, we expected more here. Both dishes were not hot. The plates were overloaded and there was no separate plate for the duck (bones) with the duck. The red cabbage was under the duck, if you wanted to eat it you had to move the plate. This style of serving existed in the 80s. We expected more based on the positive other reviews. Unfortunately, not a successful visit to the restaurant.

We chose the Mückenschlösschen (the restaurant) as our wedding location and were totally satisfied. The food was delicious, the staff was friendly and quick, the organization ran smoothly and the atmosphere was very nice. Big praise especially to the restaurant manager, who kept an eye on everything throughout the entire event. Highly recommended.

We had reserved a table for yesterday. The reception was nice. The drink order went quickly, but that was about it. The lady who brought the drinks didn't have a friendly smile and couldn't even pronounce the names of the drinks and whispered. The food reminded me of cafeteria food. The schnitzel we ordered was just dripping in fat. A huge scoop of peas was carelessly put on the plate and the taste of the food was a 3 out of 10. The salad with chicken with mustard-honey dressing that we ordered was well prepared, but that was it. Tomatoes hard like kohlrabi, only greens and the chicken and the sauce you had to look for. After we finished eating, the plates remained on the table for half an hour. Nobody came. I had to get someone to order drinks because we had been sitting dry for a long time. There were 3 tables occupied inside and one table outside. They preferred to chat or take care of other things, but not the guests. There were enough staff. No recommendation from me!!! The money would be better spent in another restaurant.

I was last in the Mückenschlösschen about 10 years ago and remembered it better. The building and the outdoor space are still beautiful. The playground for the children is also great and relieves a bit of boredom while waiting. Like many other locations, there is probably a shortage of staff here too. It felt like the service staff were rather untrained, but friendly. We were there for a company party. It took a very long time for drinks to be brought to the table or for new drink requests to be asked. The food was buffet style and unfortunately not that good. The vegetables are mushy, the meat is dry, the tomato mozzarella is no longer quite fresh. There were certainly a few tasty things there, but overall the Mückenschlösschen was not convincing that evening.

Unfortunately the food was terrible. Drinks such as beer, wine, etc. were served warm. We had to order ice cubes to be able to drink these drinks halfway. The only thing that was cold was the espresso. You can't laugh about it anymore!!! Apart from that, the drinks only came after repeated requests. Unfortunately I can't give a better verdict.

We like to eat out as a group in various places in Leipzig, especially breakfast/brunch. This time we chose this restaurant. Ambience was really nice, with the different rooms. It was well attended, but not too loud. The buffet was very neatly prepared. Unfortunately, the food was very average, which didn't really match the ambience. We had reserved a table for 4 people, unfortunately a friend was unable to attend at short notice, so the three of us ate... Shortly before paying the bill, we were informed that we also had to pay for the 4th person.. I've never experienced anything like that in a restaurant. I can only strongly advise against reserving a table there if you are a larger group (e.g. family celebration) and you cannot calculate whether everyone will actually show up, as you will still have to pay. We thought that was a real impudence and will no longer eat there. Of course the restaurant has to plan, but then you should communicate this early and not just before paying the bill. All in all, a decent but average experience. Ambience is really nice, the rest was ok, but nothing more

When we visit Leipzig, we love eating at the Mückenschlösschen and inviting others to do so. We haven't been able to use all the possibilities of the house, which looks back on a long and interesting history. In addition to the restaurant on the ground floor, there are rooms on the first floor and outdoor spaces in the immediate vicinity of the Elstermühlgraben. In addition to freshly prepared dishes a la carte (we can recommend), meeting for brunch (we have also tried it) is a nice experience. The many events for special occasions such as Christmas are still on our list. The service is friendly and attentive, we are already looking forward to the next time.

Yesterday, Sunday August 25th, 2024, I was invited by my mother-in-law to brunch at the Mückenschlösschen. There the six of us enjoyed brunch together at a beautifully set table. The brunch left nothing to be desired, it was very varied and very tasty. Everything tasted very good. The service and staff were very friendly and accommodating. I can definitely recommend it. But I would go there again. 5 stars *****.

The Mückenschlösschen restaurant is really an insider tip in Leipzig! I went there for dinner with friends and we absolutely loved it. The ambience is very cozy and inviting, perfect for a relaxing evening. The menu offers a great selection of dishes, all freshly prepared and incredibly tasty. I was particularly impressed by the quality of the ingredients and the sophisticated preparation. The staff at the Mückenschlösschen also deserve the highest praise. They were extremely attentive, friendly and always had a smile on their faces. You can immediately tell that they care about the well-being of their guests. We felt very well looked after throughout the entire visit. I can recommend the Mückenschlösschen to anyone who is looking for good food and a warm atmosphere in Leipzig. A big compliment to the entire team for a wonderful evening.

We held our wedding reception at the Mückenschlösschen and it was just perfect! The preparation for the wedding was top, always friendly staff, great service and the price-performance ratio was just right! I can only recommend it to everyone for a wonderful wedding! ☺️

We were there for the gourmet brunch. The service was friendly and attentive. Unfortunately the food was nothing special. Yogurt was only available upon request. The scrambled eggs were quickly empty and were only refilled after a while. The same thing at lunch, the dumplings and sauce were empty and only refilled upon request. The potato soup tasted like packet soup and the vegetables were frozen imperial vegetables. All in all we were disappointed.

Service was nice but unfortunately very busy with preparations for a larger celebration in the evening. The drinks took a bit of a long time and unfortunately there was a normal one instead of Rabarberaperol.

We went to the summer theater Alice in Wonderland, which was also really well done. Food wasn't exactly world-changing. But what bothered us the most was that every now and then there would be a cloud with a strange smell (we assumed it was a toilet smell). This actually made us miss the evening.

The Mückenschlösschen is something like a rock in the surf in a time when service, service culture, attentiveness and friendliness are often determined by the zeitgeist of annoyed student to amateur temporary caterers. What we as visitors always notice is that no matter how remote you have chosen your spot in the spacious and friendly summer garden area - the waitresses can still see it hidden behind two large trees in the last corner, are at the table as quickly as wind and maintain flawless communication with each other. For example, if a waiter takes the order, possibly with complex special requests or small deviations from the menu, you can rely on the fact that the other second waiter is exactly in the picture and a third who brings drinks or cake is also in the know is. They maintain an almost old-fashioned level of attentiveness towards their guests, with occasional inquiries as to whether everything is okay, and they have mastered the highly valued art of balance in timing, making their working style seem present but never condescending or forced, rather radiantly friendly attentive and attentive. The effect: After just a few minutes, you feel like an old acquaintance or a regular guest, even though you only appear once a month. Anyone who believes that this is a hymn to what is taken for granted should consider a few restaurant experiences in Leipzig's southern suburbs as a comparison. The use of animal fats for frying or frying is against the spirit of the times, but it is healthier and tastier for non-vegetarians.

A nice beer garden. We had different dishes and all were tasty. The only point of criticism from my side is the price-performance ratio of the EM card. €20.90 for a burger without any side dishes is just way too much, even if it tastes good.

We had been given tickets for the Celtic night and what was presented was a disaster. The event was announced with a buffet, live music, dancing and a fire show. All of this took place, but at a level that was reminiscent of the cheapest bus trips. The room was carelessly furnished and consisted of tables with around 16 people. The guests were supposed to get to know each other better through a game in which wisdom from life was collected (idea from a retirement home?). The dance group consisted of a local dance school. The young girls did well, but overall it seemed like a school event to which the parents had been invited (songs are sometimes broken off manually). The fire show was embarrassing to watch and was reminiscent of an esoteric fair. The live band played well, but without any variations. At some point it just became annoying. The buffet was OK (but nothing more), but the time was very limited. Why not reduce the offer and offer it over a longer period of time? In summary, this was by far the worst event we have ever attended. You were dragged from “event” to event and hoped that it would soon be over. Other guests felt the same way. Halfway through, the tables became emptier.
