Netter Service, das Essen spektakulär angerichtet. Winter Kabeljau ok, doch das rote Beete Gemüse war nicht von frischer Knolle sonder von eingelegter Bete, deutlich zu schmecken. Das Beste waren die Kartoffeln , sehr schade.Auch die Matjes waren bei der Deko schwer zu finden. Die Bratkartoffeln waren gewürfelt. Alles in allem enttäuschend.

If you want to briefly immerse yourself in the old days, then this is great. Unfortunately, we found the prices quite high, but with a Groupon voucher, it's doable.

We didn't like it that much. Service had problems communicating. Salad was good. Kässpatzen were nothing special. You don't have to go there for that.

Disappointing buffet experience at Schwan Derndorf – definitely not a recommendation! We were at the Schwan in Derndorf on Sunday, April 6th and were actually looking forward to a cozy buffet meal - unfortunately we were completely disappointed. As soon as we arrived, we noticed that the waiter was on his cell phone and there was no sign of activity in the kitchen. And when we saw the buffet, we realized why - there was simply hardly anything there. The offering was extremely meager: a few cold plates, a small selection of cheese of questionable quality and that was almost it. The only things warm were pancakes, eggs and bacon - all empty. And even if something was added briefly, it was immediately gone again because far too little was provided. A sparse sausage platter rounded off the disappointing “offer”. Nothing was replenished regularly and what was there was of no quality whatsoever. Particularly bitter at a price of €18.90 per person - you can expect a lot more, especially fresh and sufficient food. When we arrived there were only three guests, which is not surprising given the situation. As we were walking, the cook came towards us - from the kitchen where she was supposed to be working. That also explains why the buffet was so empty. This was the first and last visit for us. It's sad to see a place run down like this.

We spontaneously stopped here for dinner after 6 p.m. today, April 8, 2025. Very inconspicuous on the outside but really nicely furnished on the inside. Great, nice, friendly service, could have been the boss. We noticed well-filled plates at the neighboring tables. As expected, our order came lovingly prepared and it was simply delicious, a feast for the taste buds. We as a family really enjoyed it. Lots of attention to detail. Among other things, my wife reports that in the women's toilet you walk on glass plates and there is straw underneath. We'll come back when we're busy in Neubrandenburg. VG and please try it out. We weren't disappointed.

We were there for coffee. Great ambience, great location, great selection, the local wine is also delicious. Simply great, thank you for the lovely hours.

Food was OK. However, the kitchen was closed at around 8 p.m. (Sunday). I think the prices are too high. (my opinion)

Great restaurant for day trips. Very idyllic location. The self-service is perfectly fine. Everything goes very quickly. The price-performance ratio is also good, in my opinion. Highly recommended.

Mr. Paul in particular was very friendly and attentive.

Very nice restaurant in the middle of Eltville. Very cozy atmosphere. Host/owner very attentive and friendly. Good, down-to-earth food. Absolutely recommended. I think you have to reserve in advance.
