Very cozy restaurant with reasonable prices, despite being a spa town. Plus, a beautiful view of the spa gardens. After dinner, a lovely walk in the spa gardens with the family, or alone with or without a dog, is possible.

All in all, a very nice guesthouse. We only stayed for dinner on the terrace, which was delicious. Afterwards, we went for a walk in the park, which is just across the street. Beautifully idyllic location. We'd love to come back.

I'm reviewing the restaurant. While visiting my parents, we wanted to try the restaurant by the Swan Pond and drove the 30 minutes to Bad Sulza. Unfortunately, there were no free tables on the beautiful terrace, but we got a nice table inside – all good. We were able to order quickly, and the drinks (3 non-alcoholic) arrived quickly too. Unfortunately, that was it… The main courses arrived after about 40 minutes. I actually wanted to order a glass of wine with my meal, but the service was unfortunately slow, so I made do with the rest of my Fassbrause. The salad listed on the menu for the portion of chanterelles (€10.90) was unfortunately missing. Since my vegetarian main course (pumpkin seed fritters) came with a side salad, I assumed the chanterelles would simply cost a bit less – but that wasn't the case in the end. Now for the real service disaster: the quark with the meal (2 main courses) was way too salty for our taste, so much so that we didn't eat it. The potatoes and pancakes, and unfortunately, the sauce for the chanterelles, were too salty for us, but still edible. It wasn't until the plates were cleared that we were given attention again – and asked if we'd enjoyed our food. We gave honest feedback. My mother jokingly said, "You must have a young chef who's in love?" The answer was, "No, the old boss is cooking." Nothing else, no apology or "Thanks for the tip." Shortly afterward, the server returned to our table and said, "Well, we've both tried it. It's not too salty." Aha... That settled the matter. It's a shame if the question of satisfaction is purely rhetorical! We gladly forwent the desserts we had originally planned. We definitely won't be coming back.

German cuisine! We visited here twice, one evening, and enjoyed classic German cuisine. The dishes were plentiful, well-balanced in flavor, and pleasing to the eye. Additionally, value for money is a top priority here. If you want to enjoy the view of the spa gardens, you should eat on the spacious terrace. I would happily recommend this restaurant in Bad Sulza.

The two of us went out to eat in the evening. The outside area was full/reserved, but we were allowed to sit inside and had a really good meal 👍 .

We only went to the restaurant and had a wonderful meal and had a table with a view of the pond.

Despite having made reservations, we were still assigned two seats. The staff were very friendly and quick. The roast lamb could have been a bit more seasoned, and the dumplings were very firm. Nevertheless, it was pleasant.

I'm reviewing the restaurant, or in our case, the café. The location, especially the terrace, is uniquely beautiful with a view of the fountain in the spa gardens. It's a really nice place to sit. Since it's one of the few establishments open daily until 10 p.m., it gets quite busy. This is also due to the quality of the food. We had cake, cream puffs, and hot apple strudel and were impressed: very good! The coffee was good, although the pot was a bit too small for my taste. The iced coffee was too bitter for our taste. Today, due to the weather, it was quite busy, and the staff were visibly challenged, but they managed it. Only the slow delivery of the order was unsatisfactory. I got my coffee almost 10 minutes before the cake arrived. Overall, though, it's recommended, if only for the location.

I'm deeply disappointed! I wasn't offered a menu and only wanted a small breakfast, but I was directed to the breakfast buffet. Anyway, I went along with it. At the buffet, I noticed that the dishes were dirty and covered in leftovers, the cheese was sitting uncooled and sweating, and there were aphids swimming in my water in the unpolished glass. After I pointed this out to the wait staff, the woman made fun of me and didn't take me seriously at all. I'm not picky, but this was really frustrating. I come from the restaurant industry myself and would be ashamed to treat my guests like that.

A real insider tip. We sat on the terrace of the Pension am Schwanenteich in bright sunshine – the view of the spa gardens and the pond with its swans was simply stunning. Such a peaceful, idyllic setting is rare. The service was remarkably attentive, warm, and at the same time pleasantly unobtrusive – we immediately felt welcome. No long waits, everything ran smoothly. The food was classic, down-to-earth, and really well prepared. No frills, just honest, flavorful cuisine. You can tell the love is put into the cooking here. A place to breathe deeply and enjoy. We'll definitely be back.

We had dinner there and it was really good. We rarely ate well.

We didn't stay overnight. BUT had an excellent lunch in the restaurant AND had coffee, cake and ice cream after the saltworks. The restaurant is very nice, the service is busy and courteous and the food is really tasty 😋. I ate Thuringian Rostbrätel with fried potatoes. The sausage meat was really good and the fried potatoes were crispy. Apoldaer Glockenpils is available from the barrel, of course better than from the bottle. My wife had schnitzel with asparagus. Also very tasty. I can have a say because I gratefully eat the leftovers. Which father doesn't do that? The daughter ate pork loin with asparagus. She also enjoyed it very much. After the saltworks, coffee time on the terrace. It was great weather! We were completely satisfied. So a top recommendation from me!

We just had breakfast there without having stayed overnight there beforehand. The buffet was good and rich. Coffee can be refilled upon request. We were very satisfied.

Unfortunately we didn't feel welcome in the Am Schwanenteich restaurant. The friendliness of the service was more reminiscent of a canteen than a place of hospitality. A misunderstanding about lunchtime led to a rude reaction - instead of a friendly explanation. We weren't served, we were reluctantly offered a table, and in the end we left the restaurant without having accomplished anything. It's a shame - hospitality looks different. A little friendliness and service awareness would do good here.

We ate in the restaurant with our children and the service staff was very warm and attentive. In addition to the really beautiful view from the terrace, the food and the recommended wine were also delicious. The prices for the children's plates were also more than fair. So all around really great. 😊

We weren't hotel guests, so we can't give a review. We were in Bad Sulza today and were just looking for a place to have breakfast. The price sounded good, so we decided on the house at the Schwanenteich. The ambience is partly of older origins, there are a few knick-knacks, but all in all it remains relatively modern and furnished and, from our point of view, absolutely harmonious. It's a beautiful little restaurant. We felt comfortable. Breakfast was served in buffet form. I was very positively impressed because there were homemade jams and various homemade spreads, eggs from the regional farm in various versions, sausage, cheese and even salmon were plentiful. There was also a large selection of bread and rolls available. If you don't feel like bread rolls, no problem, then just yoghurt with muesli or cornflakes with milk and some juice and a fresh apple. Whatever. The buffet wasn't big at all, but it was still generous, absolutely sufficient and everything was delicious!! We'll definitely be back! 😊

The room was nicely furnished...but it was lacking in cleanliness. During breakfast, they were busy painting, so much so that we soon found it difficult to breathe. We left early.

We had to eat our breakfast at Lackier work, breakfast was in the restaurant, impossible. That's why we left again.

We wanted to try out a new restaurant and were very excited. The service was okay, but despite everything, it seemed like she didn't like doing her job. The ambience went like this. There's somehow a lack of attention to detail. But that's a matter of taste. The menu was very extensive with many interesting dishes. The food was OK. Some dishes can be recommended. In our opinion, the “Steak au four” is actually the flagship dish in every restaurant. Unfortunately this wasn't very tasty. Quite dry, bland taste. And you don't use breaded schnitzel for this either. All in all, you can eat here. But it doesn't blow your mind.

Hotel/Pension: The friendly welcome, the large room and the very nice location of the guesthouse were positive. Unfortunately, you get the feeling that the standards were a little higher and the cleanliness was rather mediocre. We need someone who has a little more passion for it. But without that it was now unpleasantly dirty. Overall, everything is getting a little old. Restaurant: We had Königsberger Klopse and Gans here. The goose was just technically rubbish, almost inedible. One can argue about the very thick sauce for the dumplings. But overall too little quality for a very high price. Here, too, you get the feeling that there were once very high standards that you can no longer maintain. We would give the restaurant more than 3 stars. Breakfast This in turn is extremely inexpensive, it is constantly refilled and the buffet is extensive. Basically, that was the highlight of an otherwise rather average stay. If you could find similarly motivated people for the other areas, you could really do something. VG

I stayed there from December 15th/16th, 2024. Room was very nicely furnished and very clean. The bathroom could be a little bigger, but it's ok for one night. There was nothing to complain about in terms of service, both for coffee, dinner and breakfast. The staff is very nice and accommodating. The onion roast was excellent and the price was quite reasonable. Highly recommended guesthouse/restaurant

Nice room, not good food. Dumplings tasteless, meat doesn't seem fresh, partly burnt and tough, and too salty. Vegetables canned and bland. Actually horrible. But service was ok. Clean condition of the bathrooms.

We went there for coffee today and found a nice spot on the terrace. The service was quick and orders were taken and processed quickly. The drinks (cold and warm) came quickly and the food (soljanka, cream puffs and apple strudel) were also quickly at the table. Everything tasted fine.

Was here for dinner today. Friendly service, food (roast venison) was delicious. And then there is this beautiful view from the terrace while dining.

Two weeks ago we went to eat on the terrace as a group of 7 people plus a small dog. The friendliness and service (if anyone came at all, left a lot to be desired). As a guest you just felt annoying and noticed that the service didn't like doing its job. The quality of the food was good. But the waitresses, who only took orders after repeated requests and didn't even respond when the glasses were empty (and you also waited 30 minutes for the bill after asking), didn't work at all. If the restaurant had been full, It would perhaps be understandable. If you find the service standing in the corner chatting, it's just sad for the food, which is actually good. Unfortunately, it's the first time that we didn't give a tip - which is why :(

Bad or no service. At first we weren't noticed at all as we waited for a seat in the crowded, overheated restaurant. A lady then gave us her attention, but unfortunately she was completely overwhelmed. We then left the restaurant because there was obviously no interest in sales.

Went there to eat, it was super delicious! The chicken schnitzel was very tender and extremely seasoned, the fries were excellent, the imperial vegetables with hollandaise sauce were a dream. Absolute recommendation if you like good food.

We had dinner with 7 people for a small family birthday. A soup was ordered as a starter and 7 dishes. Mainly schnitzel with chanterelles in the seasonal season. The food didn't take long to arrive and looked appetizing. I had specially ordered my sauce in the hope of a crispy schnitzel. Unfortunately that wasn't the case. Unfortunately, the dish only came to the table lukewarm. The ox cheeks could have used more sauce and came out quite dry. Salads were freshly prepared. Cucumber salad was tasty. Afterwards, 3 desserts were ordered. With 1 drink for each and 2 Williams nightcaps, we paid an average of €35 per person. Too much for the gastronomic performance unfortunately. The prices are above average and you have to add a good €6 to the online menu compared to the on-site menu. This is not adjusted. Unfortunately, the Swan only scores points for its ambience and its great terrace; but not with his food.

It was very nice, I had ordered a table but there was only something available in the dining room. But we were then able to move to the terrace which was very pleasant. Food was great but it took a while until we got it (about 1 hour) but it was Sunday and we had time.

We went here for lunch, it tasted great, we definitely recommend it. We can't say much about the hotel, only that it is very nicely located. You can also go for a nice walk and there are some monuments to explore in the immediate vicinity. Excellent

The restaurant is beautifully located right by the pond. But that's the only positive thing I can report. The service is a disaster. People were unfriendly, bossy and it took forever until someone came. I don't want to say much about the food. Good and FRESH, is different. The asparagus was woody and bitter. The schnitzel was dry and tough. The potatoes were overcooked and over salted. My partner had fries that were ok, they could have only been seasoned, the schnitzel was dry again, the vegetables with whatever bag it was, a disaster. My father had the pear cream cake, more cream than pear the bottom like dust. All that would be enough now come the 4 latte macchiato had nothing to do with their name it was a thin watery latte. Asking a price of €90 for this disaster is an outrage. There wasn't even an opportunity to change our daughter's diaper because there was no changing table. All in all, I can only say that service begins with the customer. And if you have prices like that, you should justify them with quality. Absolutely no recommendation from 4 people.

Food top, service flop. We were there on June 11th. and June 12, 2024 for dinner here. The food is great, but the service is mediocre. On June 11th, 2024 it was still ok, so we came on June 12th. again again. We had to wait a long time, when we asked for the bill different people asked if we wanted to pay in cash or separately. Then nothing happened anymore. We sat outside and unfortunately didn't have a jacket with us and were cold, but the waitress didn't care. When we were heeded after repeated requests, each of us was given a second beer on the bill, which we hadn't even ordered. A pity

Went to lunch in the house at Pentecost. Beautiful terrace with a view of the park with its pond. The service was initially friendly and a bit rude as the visit progressed. Drinks were delivered quickly. The food couldn't be ordered from the menu, which isn't a bad thing. At that time there was a weekend menu with designated dishes. There were also boards on the wall with dishes that could also be ordered, although these were not included in the additional menu. When ordering such a dish, reference was made to the menu. A tip: please wipe the dishes off the boards. Food wasn't that special either, asparagus was fibrous, potatoes had a skin on them. The other menus in the group were edible, but not impressive. Try it out for yourself, this visit was unique for me.

We took a coffee break on a bike ride. In Bad Sulza on the higher terrace of the restaurant 'Am Schwanenteich' under a parasol with a view of the spa gardens and swan pond with a large fountain, we were able to enjoy a very tasty ice cream with fruit and a huge cream puff with berries (which tasted as good as it looked). The service - handled by three young men - went very well. We'd love to come back - even for lunch, because the menu probably has even more good things to offer.

Good location right in the center of the park. The area is also very Tuscany of the East.

The schnitzel with asparagus, potatoes and hollandaise sauce was absolutely perfect. If a dish is so well made, then the around €23/portion is justified. Service is good and the ambience is beautiful.

This is our discovery from today ❤️ On the spa in Bad Sulza we were looking for a small, fine restaurant and ended up in the restaurant “Am Schwanteich”. Apart from the homely ambience and the beautiful surroundings, we were surprised with excellent cuisine that would even delight Frank Rosin. The "small salad" was huge and had an excellent dill dressing. The "ox cheeks" in port wine sauce with real home-grated raw dumplings impressed with their tender meat and an excellently seasoned sauce. And the homemade brawn with fried potatoes and a homemade tartar sauce also impressed with its freshness and wonderful taste. The espresso afterwards was also excellent. We have rarely eaten so well. The service was quick, friendly, competent and careful. Anyone who finds fault with this restaurant either has no idea about cooking or food or was sent by the competition. We'll definitely be back, just to try the fried herrings with fried potatoes. 👍 We did it again and came back here a day later - just because of the fried herring and it was also home-made, pickled ourselves and the fried potatoes matched the taste. Then we tried the roast lamb and weren't disappointed either. The meat melts in your mouth, the butter beans are firm to the bite and nicely seasoned with bean cabbage, the sauce is excellent and real homemade Thuringian dumplings - it couldn't be better. 👍👍👍

Thank you. We looked for two places on Shrove Monday and we were still accommodated. At 6 p.m. everything was already reserved. We had a great meal and were served very friendly. The rustic, no-frills food suits us very well. Smaller portions are also possible. Simply great. We came right back on Shrove Tuesday.

The room was clean and comfortable, the staff was very friendly and the food was delicious. We will be very happy to come back. Parking spaces are available, the hotel is very idyllic opposite the park and the thermal baths are within walking distance.

Let's just say it. This is how gastronomy should be.

A restaurant located by the park with a wide range of dishes, even during the week. Appetizingly prepared, friendly service, everything was good. When the weather is warm, a glass of wine on the terrace will definitely taste even better.

Am Tisch sitzen als Gast im Dunkeln und nicht mal als Kellner auf die Idee kommen ein Licht oder Kerze anzumachen ist schon traurig.Auf mehrfach drauf hinweisen hat sich dann mal was getan.Wohlfühlen gleich null.Einmal und nie wieder...

Wir waren zum Frühstück. Das Buffet war sehr reichhaltig und appetitlich angerichtet. Das Personal ist freundlich und und sehr kompetent.
