A restaurant that delivers very good quality. The prices are reasonable. The wine and food are truly excellent. They primarily offer German cuisine and regional dishes. Finally, a restaurant with a sensible and honest price-performance ratio.

A lovely opportunity to take a tasty break while shopping and strolling. Excellent German cuisine in an ambiance that truly lives up to its name, adorned with numerous rose pictures.

The meal consisted solely of three schnitzels (rock-hard, dry, with a terrible marinade) with fried potatoes (whatever that has to do with fried potatoes is beyond me), and a side salad (a complete disaster). All in all, from the staff (who call themselves the boss) to the service, and most importantly, the food itself, I cannot recommend it. Screw the money; if three plates go unused, they don't charge the full price out of courtesy and have to accept some criticism when asked if everything is okay. Where the good reviews might have come from is anyone's guess.

The beef goulash was very tender and delicious 😋 I ate there twice in one week.

Warm welcome and top services (we ordered one main dish to share, the restaurant separated the salad and the Schnitzel in to two small plates, which we didn't asked for it). The decorations are beautiful, too. Wine good. It's a little bit sad that the food wasn't as tasty as it looked and smell like. Too plain.

Mushroom cream sauce? The schnitzel was so delicious💗 It went well with the potatoes that came with it! I think you could eat it with pasta too! Salad is also included as a set! The portion is so big that I think women might have a hard time eating it all by themselves! The German atmosphere inside and outside made it even better.

Anyone in Eltville shouldn't miss a visit to the Rosenstübchen. Fun fact: The building used to be a grocery store, not a pharmacy.

...is a little different. You sit on bar stools in this old grocery store and receive somewhat prim but warm and friendly service. The food is delicious and filling. Definitely recommended 😃

Das Lokal zeichnet sich durch ein gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis aus. Eine Rinderbouillon mit Markklößen vorenweg, die Brühe war sehr gut, die Markklösse eher weniger. Da fehlte es an Petersilie und vor allem an Muskat. Der Beilagensalat zum Hauptgang war gut portioniert und man hat zum Glück auf den sonst gerne verwendeten Mais aus der Dose verzichtet. Das Schnitzel Winzer Art war groß, die Sauce lecker, die Pilze ordentlich gebraten und das ganze mit Spätzle zu servieren, war auch eine gute Idee. Dazu einen trockenen Riesling und das ganze ging dann mit 28,10 Euro über die Bühne. Da habe ich für deutlich mehr Geld schon bedeutend schlechter gegessen. Da ich dort auf einer Dienstreise zum Mittagessen Station gemacht habe und nicht auf Konversation mit der Personal aus war, war auch dieser Punkt in Ordnung. Ansonsten ist hierzu ja vieles hier bereits gesagt.

This restaurant in the heart of Eltville is located on the pedestrian zone and has both an indoor and outdoor seating area. The service is attentive, and the owner is usually there as well. The food is okay, the selection quite good, but the service is sometimes inconsistent. Sometimes it's good, sometimes it's average. I like coming here for the ambiance and authenticity.

Very friendly! Ordered a steak by phone yesterday. The steak was cooked according to the transport time (to go)! Very professional!!!!! It was a real treat, and the meat was of excellent quality. I was happy to recommend you to others. Friends then made a reservation for tomorrow. One guest currently needs help – reservation for 6:00 PM. I'm sure you'll handle this very well. Had reserved for three people. It was a good thing, otherwise we wouldn't have gotten a place. Very friendly service. Drinks and food were taken quickly and brought to the table quickly, even though all the tables inside were occupied. The portions are more than sufficient. Price performance very good. Ordered schnitzel and received a breaded, thick piece of dry cardboard. The potatoes were almost raw. The food is not recommended and the price-performance ratio is outrageous.

Very nice restaurant in the middle of Eltville. Very cozy atmosphere. Host/owner very attentive and friendly. Good, down-to-earth food. Absolutely recommended. I think you have to reserve in advance.

Lovingly and stylishly restored (after a New Year's Eve fire three years ago), delicious cakes, coffee, and tea, and friendly staff, it's always worth a visit. Our four-legged friend 🐕 was also warmly welcomed and provided with water. We'd love to come back 😀

For this reason “only” 4 stars for the ambience. The staff and owners are super helpful and friendly! The food is mediocre, the seating areas are terrible, there is no charm or coziness, the very reserved way the staff treats the guests only contributes to the fact that you don't want to visit this restaurant again after a visit. There are much better restaurants in Eltville that promise more.

Very rustic place. It was nice for coffee and cake and was even open at lunchtime, where everyone else was. Central in the city.

Der Chef ist mittlerweile so alt und hinfällig dass er es kaum noch schafft die Bestellungen aufzunehmen und die Gerichte zu servieren. Getränke: Der (fast) schlechteste Wein im ganzen)Rheingau Preise: Kommt drauf an, was man will: Viel und billig --> top. oder: Hochwertig, gesund und vernünftige Portion --> flop Es ist eine Institution, aber die derzeitigen Betreiber sollten sich besser auf ihr verdientes Altenteil zurück ziehen

Last summer we were in Eltville for the first time and had lunch in the Rosenstübchen. We had potato and cucumber salad and salmon. We enjoyed that. (the salmon was cold but good… I found it took some getting used to) So we went there again today. We were more than disappointed with the food. We ate tortellini with pumpkin sauce from the daily menu. The tortellini were in a lot of water broth in my deep plate. When I asked to quickly pour out all the liquid, the waitress brought me a new plate of food. That really wouldn't have been necessary. Unfortunately, that wasn't any better. The boss explained to us that they have to keep the noodle warm in water so that they add a little liquid. Well, a little is good…. That was easily 5 tablespoons full. And I'm not talking about sauce...but water. I've never left a plate full of food anywhere... but this one did. 3 stars for food last year… 1 star for food today.

Nice little restaurant dedicated to roses. Very nice service, food down to earth, good and plentiful for the price. The salad was very tasty. And it was pleasing that, unlike many other restaurants, it was also open in the afternoon.

We were there for lunch, it was busy, but we managed to get a table. It was a quaint restaurant where we had been before and sat outside in the summer. The service was super nice and very quick, drinks and food came in a pleasant time. Despite the restaurant being full, it was possible to have a good conversation. Wir haben das Rosenstübchen zufällig nach einem Besuch des Klosters Eberbach entdeckt und waren von dem bodenständigen Essen zu fairen Preisen und insbesondere dem sehr liebevollen, zuvorkommenden Service sehr angetan. Der Inhaber bot uns direkt an, dass wir jederzeit mehr Sauce für unseren Krautwickel haben könnten. So etwas erlebt man heute kaum noch. Herzlichen Dank.

Very pleasant. We find the boss more funny than unpleasant. He tells it like it is. Food excellent. Unfortunately, I miss the spring onions and the great potatoes with the beef steak. Now it's standard, just like in every restaurant. The steak itself, always very good.

Already very old, seems to be something for older audiences. The service is a bit slow and the selection and quality of the food leaves a lot to be desired. I was there once and that was enough, luckily there are other options to eat.

Could see tables available, perhaps they were reserved, but there was no need to be a rude individual ( could describe this better but I would be stooping to this rude person level) obviously doesn’t want customers, a simple no we a fully booked without being rude & motioning me to leave. I am not one to put a bad review on lightly but in this case I have to make an exception. Suggest to avoid. My background is also German.

Really friendly service, despite the restaurant being full, we received our slices of cake in a timely manner. The cake slices (blueberries and mango cream cake) were really tasty and freshly made. The service and all employees in this store were committed and friendly. We'd love to come back.

The lunch for 8 euros sounds good at first. But you also have to make compromises. The fish seemed to have come from the microwave, you could see that in some unsightly places. The sauce and vegetable rice with it were good The atmosphere in the front part of the restaurant is rustic thanks to the old furnishings. However, I didn't really want to sit in the back room without a window The innkeeper was very grumpy. A little more friendliness towards his guests would be appropriate.

I actually expected more. It was ok, but nothing more. Salad was barely covered in sauce, meat was ok.

Highly recommended! Especially the schnitzels: "honest", regional pork fried in a pan and NOT deep fried like elsewhere in this place.
