Prima, auch im November. Eigentlich kennen wir das Lokal vorallem im warmen Wetter. Wir waren auf der Suche nach einem Restaurant, dass auch Samstag Mittagstisch für eine größere Runde bietet. Das Essen war lecker, der Service freundlich und auch die Weinauswahl war gut.

Slightly better snack. Prices overpriced, nice atmosphere. Unfortunately, they are not capable of criticism, employees are loud and do not respond to the customer. Burger patty with no seasoning and no taste. Country chicken breast fried crispy - unfortunately it was a chicken breast that came to the table with thick breading (Panko breading).

Both the location and the ambience are great and the service doesn't lose track even when it's busy. Small selection of dishes, but they are really first class

Nice location right on the Rhine.

We only drank a coffee, but the people said happily that they ate their food. We sat outside on a bench with a blanket and looked at the Rhine. We will definitely stop again when we go on our bike tours along the Rhine. Very nice here.

It's a shame... The ambience and service are actually fine, very nice. But the food isn't right at all. Above all, the price-performance ratio is not. For the prices there are much better and larger burgers with side dishes. We personally expected more from a location like this.

An exceptional wine list and food ranging from typical Rhineland (Spundekäs) to refined (chicken breaded with potato chips) make us want to come back. It is self-service with friendly staff who bring the ordered and paid for food to the table.

As a resident of the Rhinegau, I first discovered this restaurant and have to admit that it is an insider tip. Absolutely delicious food. The salads were really very good. Great location. Nice atmosphere and nice staff. :)

We were there again after a long time and were very surprised, a lot has changed, unfortunately to the detriment in our opinion. The location is very nice, but the food on offer is very expensive and you can get that at every snack bar. I found the prices for a glass of sparkling wine extremely expensive and the wine prices were also hefty. You can get it cheaper and also delicious on the Moselle. Were very disappointed, everything is becoming more modern and more expensive, the rustic thing is disappearing, it's a shame.

Nice location right on the Rhine. Relatively expensive

If you look closely, there are some pictures shown that are not from the current tenant, but from earlier times when the Brückenshänke was also called Brückenschänke. Bockmartin started this bridge tavern in a small ticket booth. There was bockwurst and homemade sausage sandwiches with home-made pickled cucumbers to accompany the drinks. And that was 1928. Today's Rheinschänke and the tenant have nothing at all to do with this traditional history and the old buildings shown here. As you can see from the old pictures, today's building structure and the tenant have nothing in common with the history of that time, either by name or from a structural point of view. I think that's a shame and I think it should be put right.

The food, especially the tarte flambée and the pork loin from the lunch menu, was very tasty. Fast, friendly service, also recommended as a self-service shop. Location right on the water. Prices very affordable for this location. Great. We'll be back

What an atmosphere so directly on the Rhine! Self-service is a great idea. Wine spritzer huge and sooooo refreshing. Don't miss: Wash your hands on the first floor with a view of the river.

Everything fits together and the world still seems to be in order here. It's best to come in the evening and enjoy the sunset with a view of the Rhine, the lines passing by and the painting-like horizon. Accompanied by wine, beer or even a good, simple meal in the well-kept beer garden. In the evening the sun sails are retracted automatically. Some people allow their dog to cool off a little in front of the Rheinschänke (but please only on a leash, because this is and remains a stream and the dog shouldn't be driven away...). If you're lucky, you can also see an amphibious vehicle arriving/departing over the Rhine. If you're even luckier, you can come here via the Rhine in your own amphibious vehicle. In any case, it's always nice here. with or without a dog or amphibious vehicle.

A great destination for walking, cycling or just ending the day with a glass of wine.

Great ambience. There are shady and sunny seats, right by the water. The quality of the food and drinks is good. Price performance is right. There is always staff present who clear the tables and keep them clean. Even when things are busy, things move quickly at the counter (self-service).

We were there for the first time and immediately fell in love. Very friendly staff, nice atmosphere and view. We'll be back soon.

Please dear operators of the Rheinschänke! Your location is so beautiful, but your food is french fries stand level. Please change something. Let it be fried, less fat, etc. There is also good food for reasonable money and that would definitely improve the Rheinschänke. The location and the food don't go together :(

Very nice place, but only self-service with still pretty reasonable prices for the food (at least it tastes good).

The staff (girl behind the bar) was extremely rude. No bother to explain anything from the menu. It was a really unpleasant experience.

By chance, as visitors to the Rheingau, we came to the Rhein Schänke last Thursday, when we had to leave our hotel because of the bomb defusal. There we were able to spend the time of the evacuation relaxing in a beautiful atmosphere: for lunch we had delicious rooster in a basket with a view of the Rhine. We'd love to come back!

We stopped there at the end of our bike tour. Sitting by the Rhine in the evening in great weather is just a lot of fun. Food was good, vegetarian and sufficient. The concept of ordering and self-service drinks and food delivery was in keeping with the relaxed beer garden atmosphere.

Unfortunately, the food was anything but Yummy. Colorful salad plate was only green salad, falafel were bone dry, Angus burgers were fried to death and unseasoned, coleslaw was mush, spundekäs was good. Fries totally over salted. Strangely enough, the service didn't ask if it was tasty 🤐 Visually a very nice location, please never again for drinking or eating. A pity

The best and most beautiful thing is the place/place. Otherwise the food wasn't good. The fries were ok, as was the chili sauce, but the price of 9 euros wasn't really worth it. The burger patty was the only thing that tasted a bit. The burger wasn't seasoned, just bland. The coleslaw had more of the consistency of paste. When it came to the “colorful salad with falafel” they were looking for the “colorful”. It's not enough to serve a green salad and a tomato. In addition, the salad had been "drowned" in seed sauce, which didn't make it any better. And all at high prices, which the view didn't make up for. And then, after half of the food was returned, no one even asked why. Maybe you already thought so. It appeared as if “amateur chefs” were at work. It's not a recommendation, the place by the water isn't nice enough for that. Unfortunately a big R(H) idea.

A very nice location directly on the Rhine! I was there for the first time yesterday, but I'll definitely stop by again when I'm in the area. There are enough free parking spaces. The complex invites you to linger and enjoy delicious dishes. The service is very attentive and the food was delivered quickly. You get your own drinks. The “rooster in the basket” was very tasty! It was very relaxing to watch the ships on the water.

This is a typical location directly on the Rhine. The food is simple but good. Rs is self-service where the food is brought to the table. As a result, the price level is too high, although the location puts this into perspective.

A great place on a sunny day. Direct on the water (Rhein river). It has great seating area outside with shades under a willow tree to evade the sun when it’s too hot. Great to watch the boats and ships gently trave past. There is a great wine tasting booth e about 40 m away and great grass plains to enjoy a picnic or place to play outdoor games. A great stop for this cycling along the river.

Best chicken tenders ever! Batter was very good for the tenders and fish. Reasonable prices a d nice view of the Rhine and having free parking on-site was awesome.

Various winemakers offer their wines, non-alcoholic drinks and snacks (e.g. cheese, pretzels, etc.) at the wine tasting stand on certain dates. There are few parking spaces at the tasting stand, but there are more parking spaces behind the curve at the restaurant. There is no sign for disabled parking spaces. There is also a mobile toilet in the rear parking lot. D+H only, no wheelchair toilet.

Went to the Rheinschänke on May 1st. Ambience outside under the willows, with a view of the Rhine, very nice. I ate fried fish with fries. Fish was very glassy, ​​just edible, and the fries baked for a very long time. A few delicious dips with the fish would be appropriate instead of the greasy mayonnaise. I was very disappointed this time, especially since this meal is not exactly inexpensive. There is nothing that can be compared to the service and friendliness of the employees. I'll be back despite my disappointment.

Great location. Food is really very good. Unfortunately everything is self-service but it's better that way than bad service.

I can only recommend this...everything is great! We were cycling and stopped there...food and drink were delicious and good...even though it was busy, we didn't have to wait long for our food...we'll be back!

Delicious salad plate. Open wines expensive

My wife recently wanted to have a coffee there because she loves the atmosphere. However, I bitterly refused because I don't see the point of spending so much money on such a thing a second time. The taste of the completely overpriced coffee there had a hint of dishwater on our first visit. So to the management megafail, in a place like this I don't just want to pay for the location, but also for the café and not for the fact that I can sit there.

The Rheinschänke is very well located, directly on the Rhine. The service staff are very well trained, naturally friendly and very attentive in their service. You can get fresh salads, burgers and similar snacks of good quality here. The wine selection is impressive and the Rheingau draft wines are very full-bodied and tasty. When the weather is nice, you can sit on the terrace and watch the ships on the Rhine. Can recommend it at any time

Food good, very nice place, a bit overpriced

While by no means the fanciest of places, this little spot at the edge of the Rhein served my friends and I some decent grub on a warm September afternoon. My wife ordered the Flammkuchen with salami, mushrooms and Diavola oil while ordered the special, which was a beef Bourguignon. I also ordered the Camembert appetizer for the table. My friend got himself the currywurst. All of us were satisfied and had German beer and wine to accompany our meals. A lovely evening was had by all.

Ein wirklich tolles Restaurant. Ich habe es eigentlich immer nur als Snack-Ort wahrgenommen, bevor ich hier von dem Gänseessen gehört hatte. Wirklich ein sehr tolles Essen und ein hervorragender und gleichzeitig dezenter Service. Bitte weiter so!

Kamen in einer großen Gruppe total nass und kalt an, wurden sehr freundlich empfangen und hatten einen Gruppentisch. Das Essen kam schnell und war sehr lecker. Das Personal war freundlich und fragte mehrfach nach weiteren Wünschen. Das Ambiente ist wirklich toll man sitzt direkt am Rhein und hat einen tollen Blick auf den Fluss. Sehr zu empfehlen.

Wir kamen hier spontan her nach einer Tour zum Alpaka Erlebnishof und Kloster Eberbach. Das Restaurant war recht leer, so dass wir schnell per Selbstbedienung bestellen konnten. Wir hatten Fish & Chips sowie den Burger von der Karte. Beim Burger war ich nicht sicher, ob der nicht mit einem TK-Paddie zubereitet wurde, da er leider etwas trocken war. Auch das Brötchen war solala... Im Sommer draußen im Weingarten sicher einen Stop wert. Frisches Essen bekommt man sicher woanders besser. Über den Service kann ich nichts sagen, da es ein SB-Konzept ist.
