Nice excursion restaurant in the countryside with outdoor dining and located directly on the lake with swimming options. The restaurant offers hearty dishes as well as coffee and cake. We were there in the afternoon and tried the cake. Delicious! Friendly service and quick service rounded off our visit. Also ideal for cyclists and hikers.

There's really nothing to criticize here... Very nice atmosphere and good service. The food is also good.

I ordered a salad with smoked salmon for 16.90 euros. Lots of green salad was served with 4 slices of cucumber, 2 pieces of tomatoes, some smoked salmon and 3 slices of baguette. When I asked, OK, this is correct, I was told that this is normal. My husband had three pork medallions with fries and was able to put together a great salad at the buffet. For two euros more. Find the error!!!

Everything comes together here, a fantastic location, beautiful entertainment, friendly staff and good bourgeois cuisine. Worth a repeat. This owner can really be proud of his property and staff.

Unfortunately I can't comment on the food as I was invited to a wedding there. The ambience is excellent with the terrace right on the lake. The service was very attentive and always provided all guests with drinks

Waiters confused, counter staff unfriendly, organization poor. 8€ for a bottle of water. The food was good, but had a rather bitter aftertaste because of everything surrounding it.

My wife and I have been going to Restaurant Am Heidweiher for many years, and for several reasons. It starts with the very large number of free parking spaces (I estimate at least 80 - 100). When we return after a hike around Lake Borner and Lake Harik, we are always greeted by a friendly employee and shown to our table that we had reserved in advance. And now we come to point two, the friendliness of everyone working here. No matter how many guests are present, we are always met with a smile on our faces. The very good food is the third point. Over the years we have tried many dishes from the menu and have never had any reason to complain. Currently there is also an asparagus menu in addition to the normal menu. And the baked asparagus rolls on this one are my absolute favorite at the moment. Conclusion: we are already looking forward to the next time.

We have known about gastrpnomia for a long time and are always thrilled. Since we have children with us and they have a playground next to the outdoor dining area, we are guaranteed a certain amount of peace and quiet during our stay. Service was always customer-oriented, polite and helpful when there were questions about food.

We have been here many times and everything was great, but this time our food (for 4 people) was forgotten. When we brought this to the attention of the waitress after 1 3/4 hours, they just pressed around and looked for a reason. We didn't get an apology, even when we said goodbye, nothing came from the waitress. Actually, one would have expected at least one free drink, but no, the additional drinks order was forgotten. If the waiter hadn't been so unreasonable and stubborn, I wouldn't have written this bad review.

The food was good. The hot stone is a nice idea and should be promoted more.

If you want to enjoy delicious asparagus, then the best place is at the Heidweiher in beautiful surroundings with the home-made hollondaise sauce from the great chef Mr. D. 😋

Many thanks to the whole Heidweiher team. It's my birthday celebrated there. I would especially like to thank the chef for the gluten-free food. Anyone who has celiac disease knows that it is not always easy to find a place where you can eat without worries.

Very nice location by the lake. Great ambience. Very friendly service. Uncomplicated reservations and individual requests can be accommodated without any problem. Dogs are allowed. Delicious food and fair prices. We like to go here more often. Portions are sufficiently large.

Small but fine restaurant right by the pond, with outside dining in summer, food is very good, service is friendly and competent, ambience is okay and a matter of taste.

Very cozy, lovingly furnished restaurant with good food. Unfortunately it was dark when we got there, but in summer it's definitely nice to stop by the beer garden. We will come back in any case.

We were there for a “crime dinner”. Travel too far, poor performance, drinks normal, food so-so and too cold. All in all too expensive and not worth it.

Insgesamt eher 4,5 Sterne. Gelegentlich recht voll, was natürlich fürs Restaurant spricht.

Direkt am Heidweiher gelegen und dadurch schon eine tolle Location. Essen war sehr lecker.

Wir waren dort im Urlaub. Einmal haben wir dort auf der Terrasse gegessen und einmal essen abgeholt. Vor Ort waren die Bedingungen nicht sonderlich aufmerksam, der Tisch wackelte sodass fast die Getränke runter rutschten. Die Portionsgröße des Steaks war leider nicht sättigend, das Gyros dauert üppig. Als wir telefonisch bestellen waren wir nach der angegebenen Zeit dort, jedoch war zu dem Zeitpunkt noch nicht einmal mit der Zubereitung angefangen. Zudem würde ich von der Bedienung nur halbherzig beachtet, fühle mich wie abgestellt. Sehr schade Lecker war es aber immer und das Ambiente sehr Schön

Wir saßen draußen in schönstem Sonnenschein. Freundliche und schnelle Bedienung. Leckeres Essen und gemütliche Atmosphäre.

Trotz Hochbetrieb bei gutem Wetter haben wir schnell einen Tisch erhalten. Der Service war flott und freundlich. In Summe behalten wir die Gastronomie in guter Erinnerung.

Hat leider etwas abgebaut. Service war etwas anstrengend und nicht zuvorkommend. Da wir draußen saßen ist die Location natürlich top direkt am Heidweiher. Trotzdem kommen wir nach diesem Besuch erstmal nicht wieder.

Wir haben im August unsere Hochzeit am Heidweiher nachgefeiert und hätten mit der Location nicht zufriedener sein können. Das Wetter hatte leider anfangs nicht mitgespielt, aber Frau Röbers und Ihr Team haben spontan und eifrig umgeplant und angepasst sodass der Tag einen bleibenden Eindruck für alle Anwesenden hinterlassen hat. Von der Planung über Aufbau, Deko, Service, bis hin zum Büffet war alles hervorragend. Absolut zu empfehlen! Nochmals vielen, vielen Dank an das gesamte Team. Luke und Jenny

Sehr schöne Umgebung und sehr nettes Personal. Wir waren erst gegen dem frühen Nachmittag da, aber dennoch war es vor Ort sehr sauber. Der See ist sehr natürlich und sehr schön.

Heute sind es 30 Grad an einem Sonntag und ich würde es hier als gut besucht, aber nicht überfüllt bezeichnen. Um 11 hatten wir noch massig Auswahl an Schattenplätzen. Das war uns mit zwei kleinen Kindern wichtig. Wir fahren über eine Stunde aus Bochum, kommen aber ganz sicher wieder.

Sehr schade ---> Öffnungszeit beginnt erst um 14 Uhr.... Eigentlich wollten wir nach einem Spaziergang dort auf der Terrasse einen Kaffee trinken und zu Mittag essen. Der Aussenbereich (Parkplatz, Vorderansicht des Restaurants) macht einen vernachlässigten Eindruck. Es gibt mehrere marode Gebäude wie Schuppen oder Garagen. Alles sieht so aus, als müsste mal dringend Unkraut gezupft werden und als wenn ein neuer Anstrich dringend benötigt würde. Für den ersten Eindruck gibt es keine zweite Chance....
