The restaurant is in a beautiful location on one of Stuttgart's hills and offers breathtaking views throughout your stay. The service was excellent; we were served by a very friendly employee. The presentation of the drinks and food was also very appealing. If you are looking for a location with a beautiful view and delicious food, you have come to the right place. However, you should take a look at the menu beforehand, as the selection of dishes is not very large.

Mother's Day of horror! When entering the restaurant, the first impression is positive, with pompous wine bottles on display in the best “Bella Figura” style. Barely two meters further on, it is certain that you will not be ordering a Lillet Wild Berry because the bartender is pouring the Wild Berry straight down your throat from the bottle. Regarding the ambience itself, it is sad to note that in the back area of ​​the terrace there are still tons of leaves floating around and the oleanders are so dry that they are practically begging to be set on fire in order to be relieved of their suffering. The hotel's own dog, which was almost drowned with water in its specially cordoned off lounge, was a completely different story. After the hopelessly overwhelmed service staff finally served the food, we noticed that guests who arrived at the neighboring table after us were even served their food before us. The food came one by one so that we ultimately couldn't eat together. If a kitchen can't even produce the simplest bruschette, buttery white bread with no hint of toast or garlic, then you should leave it alone and go back to construction to work as a plasterer. The crowning achievement was probably the most miserable sausage salad in history, the cheapest Lyoner, grated Parmesan (😂) and rocket 🙄 No trace of vinegar, salt and pepper. People, leave it alone or get professional help who can show your kitchen a sensible mis en place and work processes for such a rush. Last but not least, it took another good twenty minutes until the plates were cleared away, even though the amateur waiters walked past us numerous times. This time the wonderful view didn't help either, shame on you!

If we hadn't found it online, we probably would have passed it by. First on a mountain outside the city, beautiful, but I was thinking more of a massage parlor with a happy ending or something. Turned out to be a living room-like restaurant with a large terrace overlooking the city. Fantastic. Tasty food, nice service. Somewhat clumsy: if you deviate slightly from what is stated on the card, you have to calculate how much it will cost. There was also a pot of tea on the menu. But they didn't have that. Got small cup of tea instead. Well, ....another fun and tasty, unexpected experience.

Welcome and service initially promising. The card also came quickly. Unfortunately nothing more after that. Asked twice to place the order. After 50 minutes we left the store. Service completely overwhelmed and alone. Shortly before leaving there was a huge argument in the kitchen where the waiter was pushed around. I've really never experienced anything like this before.

A really great restaurant with a beautiful view! The food was very nicely prepared and tasted great. The price is perfectly fine for the food. The employees were always very helpful and friendly. We will be back definitely!

After we were handed the menu, we were left sitting for 25 minutes. When we asked the man behind the counter whether we were still being served, we were met with ignorance. We left the restaurant together with 5 other guests. And will not enter it again.

The food is generous in terms of portions. The selection is also good and there are dishes (e.g. liver) that are rarely on the menu. Everything is very tasty and appetizing to look at. The ambience is incredibly beautiful. With lounge music you have a magnificent view over Stuttgart and even in cooler temperatures you can sit outside on the weather-protected terrace. In summer there are always small events such as paella and music. We always enjoy coming here.

Small but nice restaurant. Probably more difficult to get a place for those who decide at short notice. Therefore it is better to reserve in advance. Food great and service, despite the full house, always tried hard.

We had a good time with good food

We met there as a small group and wanted to spend a cozy evening together. However, the rooms were not heated, so after a very short time we were sitting there with a jacket and also wrapped in blankets. When we asked, we were told that the gas for the heating and the radiant heaters was currently too expensive... Unfortunately, we didn't feel comfortable at all and the food was unfortunately only average and in my opinion the price/performance ratio was right not. After several of us expressed our displeasure, the whole thing threatened to degenerate. After paying we were literally thrown out because the owner didn't like the criticism. In any case, we'll definitely look for another location for the next meeting.

Here as a guest you are not the king but simply the servant who has to take what is there. Drinks warm. Eat small portions...taste average...but expensive. Not recommendable. The staff is unfriendly and incompetent. I will not enter this location. This is my contribution

The food was cold. The steak was full of fat and not tasty. Half was forgotten and the crowning glory was the piece of plastic on the plate.

The service is a disaster, we waited 1 hour until we could order. Wrong drinks, wrong dishes, wrong billing... But the food was good.

Black Burger was just lukewarm. Way too thick on a big black bun. It's better to be flatter and as big as the roll, then it's also more edible. Plates are inappropriate for a dish like this where there is a bit of a mess while eating. These weren't plates, but stone slabs where the whole mess ended up on the table. For the high price I would have expected better and, above all, warm.

It was very crowded and there was obviously a lot of staff there, but it took a while before anyone was there for the drinks. Same thing at the next table. The drinks ran out quickly, but no one came for a follow-up order. The food itself tastes good.

Great location, great food, great service and beautiful view

After a service person "transferred" us, we were still served and looked after in a friendly and courteous manner. Dishes are of very good quality and always a little special. The view and location are always special.

Great ambience, the owner is relaxed and the food and prices are top...a ​​rarity in the kettle and an insider tip for anyone who is hungry after a walk or just wants a drink...great keep it up

Truly a hidden gem 💎 After a walk up a hill through the rows of grapes (Riesling by the way) you will find this lovely establishment. Besides serving amazing food and wine, it has a lovely and down to earth atmosphere. The staff is both kind, funny and knowledgeable if you need recommendations. Dont be afraid of the dog Nemo. He might be big, but he is lovely and calm. Worth a visit for sure and if I ever return to Stuttgart I will be back without hesitation

This is a hidden gem. I was there on a business trip, and this place has amazing food. Well worth looking it up. Unless you know it exists you may not find it!

The managing director is an outrageously arrogant guy who doesn't value customer well-being. The service staff do their best but unfortunately that doesn't make up for it. On their website it says “child-friendly restaurant” but unfortunately the management makes the stay completely unpleasant.

You feel very comfortable and welcome. Great atmosphere and very friendly staff.

Visit on January 4th, 2024 at 6:00 p.m., 4 people I'm disappointed. The ladies wanted turkey steak, I wanted Thai curry, which also had turkey. The answer we got was “turkey is over”. Can't the innkeeper buy what he writes on the card? We then ordered 2 x breaded schnitzel, 1 x Thai curry with beef and rice (substitute) and 1 x tuna with potato. The schnitzel eaters were satisfied, the schnitzel was large and probably tasty. The tuna dinner was pretty bland, as was the Thai curry. The beef was a bit tough and the accompanying rice was actually an overcooked rice porridge. Even the “sticky rice” served in Thailand and Laos is grainy. The waitress commented, “she will pass this on to the kitchen”. Otherwise no reaction. The whole thing for almost 140.00 euros (including beer and water and the decrepit dog lying in front of the counter). I can't agree with the good reviews of my predecessors and I'm surprised that someone would give 5 stars if they wrote that their food was lukewarm.

We didn't like the Argentine steak. The waitress said it wasn't a problem and she would bring us another dish for free.

We've been coming to the Thistle Farm every now and then for a few years and I have to say, it's always incredibly tasty and the food is always good and beautifully prepared. Today we had dinner at the thistle farm with ten people. We ordered all over the place and I tried everything and it all tasted incredibly good. The service specialist recommended the right wine. What more can I say. I love the ambience and the style. Clocky but that's exactly what I like. The food has become very expensive now,

Essen lecker, Personal freundlich und zuvorkommend. Es gibt einen tollen Ausblick und Außenbereich im Frühling / Sommer ist das auf jeden Fall einen Besuch wert.

Wir waren zu viert als Gäste gekommen. Drinnen feierte ein Hundeverein Weihnachtsfeier, daher war es voll und laut. Die Schlange zum Buffet ging direkt am Tisch vorbei. Unser essen war in Ordnung, mehr aber auch nicht. Standard aber gut gekocht. Gegen Ende des Abends flogen zwischen den Angestellten und dem Chef aufgrund von Buffet-Problemen die Fetzen in der Küche. Sofortige Folge: tolle Show für uns und zwei Arbeitnehmer weniger, die haben zu Recht direkt auf der Stelle gekündigt und haben den Laden verlassen. Fazit: Reality TV Faktor Ex on the beach, essen war eher so "Rachs Restauranttest".

Sehr leckeres Essen, nette Bedienung, aber komische Dekoauswahl. Preise sind vernünftig. Der Ausblick von der Terrasse ist im Sommer wahrscheinlich mega.

Essen ist sehr schön angerichtet, jedoch geschmacklich weniger überzeugend. Salat kam ohne richtiges Dressing und das Bruschetta besteht aus drei winzigen, weichen Baguettestückchen. Auch leider keine vegetarische Hauptspeise auf der Karte. Würden wahrscheinlich nicht nochmals hier essen.

Ein wirklich schönes Restaurant mit toller Aussicht, vor allem beim Sonnenuntergang und netter Bedienung. Auch das Essen ist sehr lecker, es fehlen höchstens ein paar günstigere Optionen zum Essen.

Bin öfters mal im Sommer in der Distelfarm gewesen, da man schön gemütlich in der Lounge draußen sitzen kann, auf die Weinberge sowie runter auf die Stadt sehen kann. An sich sehr gute Lage, Parkplätze gibt es vor Ort aber auch drum herum. Das Essen ist sehr lecker! War jetzt schon öfters hier und war immer geschmacklich und von der Qualität zufrieden. Das einzigste was mir leider nie gefallen hat, war leider die Art und Weise vom Inhaber. Sagen wir mal so, er hat eine sehr persönliche Art, entweder man kommt damit zurecht oder eben nicht. :)

Der Black-Burger ist eine echte Empfehlung, wenn auch mittlerweile nicht mehr preiswert für fast 20€…

Tolles Ambiente mit herrlichem Ausblick (auf der Terrasse) - gute Küche, Kinderfreundlich und super Service, auch wenn wir spontan mit 5 Kindern im Alter zwischen 0-9 überfallartig zum Abendessen kamen. Super Preis-Leistungsverhältnis mit leckerer Küche.

Schöne Aussicht, leckeres Essen, freundliches Personal.

Wollten schon immer hier mal essen gehen. Diesmal haben wir es hinbekommen. Das Essen war sehr lecker. Hatte Hänchenspiess mit Kokos Curry. Salat und Zwiebelrostbraten. Ist anders auf Thai oder ähnliche Art mal anders. War aber sehr lecker. Was mit persönlich gestört hat das es ein bißchen zu voll war und eng. Preisleistung ein bisschen zu teuer.

Spontan abends vorbei gekommen und obwohl Küche schon zu war haben wir trotzdem noch eine kalte Platte bekommen.Bissle Schinken bissle Käse Capazio hat super gereicht für uns um den Abend ausklingen zu lassen.

Das Essen war ok, die Bedienung war sehr, sehr freundlich und nett. Die Aussicht war ebenso schön. ABER: es läuft eine große Dogge im Gastbereich herum. Der Hund wurde erst nach meiner Aufforderung angeleint. Wir kommen so schnell nicht wieder, was wirklich schade ist, aber das muss wirklich nicht sein. Keine Entschuldigung, nichts. Nur, jetzt ist er angeleint.

Sonntag Abend bis 17 Uhr Küche? Wo gibts denn das? Wir kamen um vier und wollten noch warten mit Essen. Als man uns dann um halb sechs endlich mal beachtete, (unsere Gläser waren schon länger leer ohne das irgendeiner mal in die Richtung schaute) mit dem Hinweis ob alles ok sei und wir eigentlich was zum Essen bestellen wollten kam der Hinweis dass die Küche am Sonntag nur bis 17 Uhr sei. Man frägt sich dann kurz bin ich bei verstehen Sie Spass oder verarscht er uns? Weder auf den Visitenkarten noch auf Facebook steht was zu den Küchen - und Öffnungszeiten. Das wars dann Bye bye Distelfarm

Tolles Restaurant mit leckerem Essen.

War jetzt mehrere Tage im Lokal zum Essen . Die Karte ist übersichtlich. Ist für jeden Geschmack etwas dabei . Das Servicepersonal ist freundlich und super schnell . Ambiente passt dort auch . Immer gut besucht und es gibt trotzdem immer noch freie Plätze. Ich komme gerne wieder.

Schickes Ambiente. Man fühlt sich wie in einer Strandbar, nur noch das Meer fehlt 😉 Netter Service, leckeres Essen, tolle Aussicht. Wir kommen gerne wieder!
