Restaurant Distelfarm Stuttgart in Stuttgart

No, I can't recommend this restaurant at all. I've never seen such a run-down place. Apparently, they're currently renovating. Then they shouldn't be accepting any guests. The chef, who served the restaurant, tried very hard, but was completely overwhelmed in every way. Most of the food arrived cold. We were the only guests. The surroundings were filthy. It's clearly in dire need of renovation, but behind closed doors! The way things went yesterday, no one will ever come back. The pictures posted online are a thing of the past!

The restaurant was supposedly once extremely beautiful, and the view certainly is. We were there on a Sunday at 1600. No one approached us, so after spotting someone in the restaurant, we approached. An unfriendly employee opened the door and told us we were closed. Then he slammed the door and locked it. Unfortunately, the entire restaurant looks as if it hadn't been cleaned up after a big swingers party. There are chairs and dirt everywhere. This once beautiful place has apparently completely fallen into disrepair. It's a real shame.

On Friday, August 22, 2025, I was at the entrance at 4:30 p.m., everything was closed, and there was no information about opening hours at the entrance. I looked it up online; it should have been open from 4:00 p.m. that day. I called the store and got a recorded message asking to call back later. Professionalism doesn't look good at all. It used to be a top location, with a great ambiance, surrounded by nature. Under the circumstances mentioned above, one star is already too many!

There were three of us, and we had made a reservation. The door wouldn't open, and we thought it was dark. We walked outside. The comment was, "Yes, it's stuck." We had to wait 20 minutes for our drinks. We ordered our food at 5:30 p.m. and pointed out that we had to leave for the theater at 6:45 p.m. When we asked at 6:30 p.m., we were told the food would be ready in 15 minutes. We left without our food. The service was terrible, she made one joke after another and felt very funny.

I can only advise against visiting. I was there years ago and had a fantastic meal. The current owner doesn't seem to care about anything; we had to wait forever before he was even ready to take our order, and when I asked for cutlery, I was yelled at. The salad didn't match what was on the menu and was mostly inedible, wilted and moldy. The currywurst was three Nürnbergerle sausages. It used to be a great place, but now it's a place of horror.

Today we visited the Distelfarm for the first time in a very long time; what can I say? We were shocked!!! The place looks dingy inside; it smells of dog, alcohol, and just plain filth. The owner greeted us after we sat down on the terrace; he seemed like he'd consumed drugs or alcohol (or both). Life must have been a tough hand for him; because when he took over the Distelfarm many years ago, he was friendly, motivated, and, above all, sober. Too bad. Shortly after, small talk; then he started ranting about the RBK, their construction site, and how they were to blame for his ruin. Given his demeanor, I doubt that. We waited 45 minutes for our order to be taken; then another 30 minutes for the drinks to arrive. The food was prepared by a nice gentleman and was OK; the schnitzel was tough; the burger was OK. We weren't served again for the rest of the evening. We then went into the restaurant to pay, and then the worst happened: card payments weren't possible. That might have been interesting to know beforehand. It was still possible a few years ago – the device was also visible. Then we paid via PayPal. The owner became rude and threatened my pregnant friend. So: we were extremely disappointed. The customer is no longer king here.

I received the food and drink menu after 30 minutes. After another 30 minutes, I still hadn't had a drink, and I left after another 15 minutes. A complete disaster for such a great place in Stuttgart. Unfortunately, you always have to give a star to even be able to rate it. I find it very sad and unfortunate.

We were a larger (registered) group. The service was friendly, but unfortunately, that alone wasn't enough. Half of us still didn't have our drinks after almost an hour. The bartender seemed drunk. There were loud arguments at the bar. We left without eating. The view was great, but the rest of the place was terrible and not recommended.

Yesterday, we celebrated my birthday with six people at the Distelfarm. Contrary to some reviews, the staff was friendly and the food delicious. The view, especially in the evening, is fantastic. We'd love to come back.

It used to be good up there! I'm still shocked by what we experienced last night. We had a reservation for 20 people. When the first group arrived, the owner didn't know if we were welcome. He just made strange noises and then suggested we could sit outside. It was dark inside, all the blinds were down. Nothing was prepared outside on the terrace. As we started pushing the tables together with the (I think) kitchen assistant, the "boss" staggered up to us at some point and yelled that this was forbidden. He was clearly drunk, on drugs, whatever, he wasn't completely clean. He even called his dark-skinned employee the N-word, and later probably other expressions, but I didn't really follow it because we decided as a group not to stay there under any circumstances. We all left in shock and chose another restaurant that served us, 20 people, nicely, quickly, and with good food. Dear landlord, please leave this beautiful location to someone who knows how to serve! And dear kitchen assistant/waitress: get out of here; you'll quickly find something else in the restaurant business.

One star is still too many. A NO GO with this owner!

We had made a reservation for a group of 20 people – but nothing was prepared when we arrived. The restaurant was in an unsanitary condition, and upon entering, a strong, unpleasant odor of alcohol and drugs was noticeable. The receptionist seemed overwhelmed and uninviting. The host also gave the impression of being under the influence of alcohol or drugs, which was also reflected in his behavior. Since no tables had been set up, we began to help ourselves. We were then reprimanded by the manager in an aggressive tone – accompanied by racist remarks towards his own staff. Some of the drinks we ordered were never served. The visit was characterized by a lack of professionalism, poor hygiene, unfriendly interaction, and discriminatory behavior. I cannot recommend this restaurant at all.

I went with my wife to eat and have a drink. The service is very bad. The man waited forever and the beer was warm and sour. The landlord is not normal, he is mentally ill. When we complained, he went into the kitchen and hit the workers and hit them against the wall. Afterwards, his hand bled and he carried on cooking with a bleeding hand. Simply embarrassing and disgusting. This place doesn't even deserve a star.

No, not anymore. The food and service are nothing like they were a year or two ago. It's completely gone downhill, unacceptable.

Nice view... otherwise a disaster. Some drinks were apparently unavailable, even though they were on the menu. It took 45 minutes for the first drinks to arrive. Then the wrong drinks arrived. After an hour, not all of the ordered drinks had arrived. The beer was stale. The spritzer was extremely thin and non-carbonated.

The best view of all Stuttgart is found here. The food is very rich and original, worthy of a competition or a Michelin star. However, the prices are not as high as those of a place with the same qualities. 100% recommended, especially on weekends in the summer with paella and live flamenco.

Unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend it. The service was very slow, and they also served the wrong drinks. The schnitzel was OK, but the cheese spaetzle that came with it had absolutely nothing to do with delicious cheese spaetzle. The roast beef was also tough and lacked any real flavor. Overall, a very negative experience with a long wait and far too loud music.

Unfortunately, the tuna wasn't medium. The behavior of a vacillating boss after payment, with a strange approach from the person who invited us, was extremely questionable. Our department hasn't been going there since.

Never again – an imposition for every guest Our experience at the Distelfarm was unfortunately disastrous. From the moment we arrived, there was chaos – a dog was running loose in the dining room, which is completely unacceptable in a restaurant. The service was lackluster and completely overwhelmed. We had to wait almost an hour for our drinks – that alone is unacceptable. The food was abysmal: carelessly prepared, tasted abysmal, and definitely not the quality you would expect from a restaurant. Half of our group of 20 people left early – that really says it all. The beautiful view may be nice, but it won't fill you up or satisfy you. Anyone expecting genuine service, good food, or even basic hospitality should definitely stay away from this establishment. This has nothing to do with gastronomy.

Now I know not just a review, but a reaction to it. Today I had suggested the Distelfarm to friends for a cozy get-together, and they made me aware of the latest reviews… The eight of us decided to meet somewhere else this evening.

Upon arrival, you don't know if the place is open; you're not greeted, and you have to walk through a dark room until you reach the terrace. There was no sign of service, just someone leisurely sipping a beer who was completely overwhelmed with customers. When we arrived, there were no waiters. The man with the beer (surely the boss) called the waiters and yelled at them in front of the guests. To waste time, we were served an inedible appetizer: one slice of bread with grilled tomato, zucchini, and mozzarella! Nothing was grilled; it was just briefly warmed up, everything was raw, and the bread was stale! We weren't even served a knife until we asked for it. When the knife arrived, a little showmanship was delivered with the knife. Simply embarrassing. We got up, paid, and left without eating. My conclusion: never again as long as this owner is there; it's an absolute disgrace that this place is even still open.

After having a wonderful evening here a few years ago, we stopped by on a sunny afternoon. In summary: chaos inside and out, not at all inviting, and no service anywhere to be seen. Instead, there was a large, loose dog who at least kindly made way for a table with a nice view. We didn't feel comfortable and left after a few minutes with a clear conscience, since no one had noticed us anyway. The food of the few other guests looked good. However, we were glad to be gone.

We were there on a Friday evening, and the owner wasn't very friendly. We both ordered the beef black burger with sweet potatoes. They were regular, soggy burger patties (not black as described). The beef on the burger was way too salty, and the sweet potato sticks weren't sweet potatoes anymore, but just burnt chips. Among other things, there were about 15 of these sweet potato sticks (too small to serve with the burger) for €20.

Unfortunately, I have to agree with all the recent reviews. A dull-witted, rude landlord with bad, stale beer who manages to scare away the only customers with his outrageous, loud-mouthedness. An absolute disaster!!!

Surreal experience, never again Total chaos, order taken very late, place dirty, the owner completely disheveled and obviously out of it, insulting guests and staff. At first I thought I was in a joke. The waitress reeked of alcohol and staggered through the place. I've never experienced anything like it before, absolutely surreal. I've never written a review before, but people, this place is like a horror trip, including a police intervention and the owner's arrest.

When we arrived on Whit Sunday, we didn't know if the shop was even open. The door opened, the shutters were down, and the room was dark. It smelled of dog and cigarette smoke. I asked if they were open, and the manager replied yes. My wife was about to leave, but I persuaded her to stay. We ordered an Aperol and a wheat beer. The Aperol was undrinkable. Diluted, it tasted more like water. You can hardly go wrong with a wheat beer. We ordered two turkey skewers with fries, which was quite bold. They skipped the fries and instead offered fried potatoes. We decided not to complain; it wouldn't have done any good anyway. He then promised to bring napkins when he brought the food, but he forgot about it until we got to the counter. When we finished eating, the music was turned up so loud that we couldn't have a conversation anymore, and it was clear we should leave. I quickly calculated the cost. We then stood up and went to the counter and paid. The owner's comment was, "You noticed, I turned it up a bit." We didn't get a receipt either. The WKD should take a look at the place. The kitchen didn't look so great. We've been there a few times before. But this time was a disaster. Never again under this owner. What a shame...

It was a rainy evening and was very quiet at the restaurant. Beautiful views, good seating area, and good food. Would recommend this venue

The food was absolutely AMAZING. The view was great too but the food was the real selling point here. Best restaurant I've been to in Germany.

We came in and were told to sit outside, but the waitress wasn't there yet. We sat down and our order was taken. The drinks and food came quickly. But the schnitzel I had ordered was uneatable. When we said this, they said, "Oh, we have a new waitress..." We wanted to pay and said this at least 100 times. When no one came after half an hour, we went inside... And suddenly there was a new cash register! Way too overpriced, a small menu... Overwhelmed staff If you want to enjoy the view and have a drink, it might not be so bad after all. But maybe she should stay away from the food.

When we arrived, we weren't sure whether the restaurant was open or closed. The shutters were down - it wasn't inviting. Atmosphere: A cross between a beach club, an RTL show, or a run-down beer garden. The beer was flat and barely drinkable. The schnitzel was over-fried and had a shoe sole. The cheese spaetzle gave us all a stomach ache. When paying, we were able to take a look into the kitchen; if we had seen the kitchen before ordering, we would have left. Something needs to be done here, otherwise this place will have to close. The service was excellent! Friendly and quick.

Not recommended - given the number of people and the average rating, I expected something different. When we arrived, it smelled of cigarette smoke, dog, and rancid grease. Luckily, the weather was great and we could go outside, otherwise we would have turned around. We had burgers with sweet potato fries, onion roast beef with cheese spaetzle, iced coffee, non-alcoholic wheat beer, and cherry spritzer. The only acceptable thing was the wheat beer. We returned more than half of the food because it was so bad - I've NEVER returned food before. When asked how it was, we honestly said we were really disappointed. They expressed regret. The service was nice. Paying the manager - who was completely drunk - took over 7 minutes while we stood at the cash register. We were asked three times if we wanted a receipt. Avoid!!

Absolutely disastrous place – never again Distelfarm. Rude staff who clearly have no idea about hospitality. The waitress flat-out lied to our faces about the drinks – when we asked, she simply claimed "it's the norm." Not a word of apology, no willingness to clarify – instead, rude and arrogant. The manager? A complete disgrace. We had the impression he wasn't completely sober – his demeanor was completely off-key and there was no trace of professionalism. Service? A solid 6. Complaints were ignored, criticism was dismissed or ignored. On top of that, the place was simply filthy – dirty tables, an unpleasant atmosphere. At least they ended up charging for small drinks instead of large ones – but that was the only halfway positive thing. If you like being treated badly, this is the place for you. Everyone else: stay well away from this place.

The staff tried very hard, but we waited 20 minutes to pay because the owner was talking to a group. We won't be going back.

THE TENANT SHOULD BE REPLACED Unfortunately, our visit to the Distelfarm was very disappointing. Despite low occupancy on a Friday evening – only three tables occupied – the service seemed overwhelmed, and the food quality was also subpar. Particularly irritating was the behavior of the apparently intoxicated owner, who loudly criticized one of his employees – right in front of the guests. The employee in question seemed dedicated and trying hard, which made the situation all the more unpleasant. This behavior had a very negative impact on our overall impression of the evening. Based on this experience, I unfortunately cannot recommend the restaurant.

Sexist comments, poor service and not suitable for vegetarians.

In February, I reserved a table for my daughter's communion, which took place at the beginning of May. Unfortunately, my guests and I found the door locked. My brother-in-law called and was told that it was impossible for us to have made a reservation. Two minutes later, I suspect it was the owner, called my brother-in-law back and said, "They don't have any staff and aren't opening. I should let them know and they'll compensate me." As I walked around the restaurant, an employee approached me from the terrace and said that the manager had told me to say there was no staff. I wondered if that was really true. Still, a quick update would have been nice. Anyway, there won't be any compensation, as they haven't responded to my messages. I have to say, the restaurant has really gone downhill, and even if they contact me about compensation, I won't go there again.

What an evening... 🙈 We were greeted with the words, "We're barely staffed today, so you can only sit outside." Once we got to our seats, we waited a long time for a waiter to order drinks. The drinks arrived after 50 minutes. The food came faster, but some of the food couldn't be eaten due to hygiene reasons. 🦠The waiter was friendly and apologized several times for the owner. Our neighbor ordered food and drinks at the same time. The food came quickly, but the drinks didn't arrive until the end.

Update: now someone seems to be drunk here on a regular basis and insults and threatens guests. STRONGLY AVOID. Unfortunately the restaurant was a failure for us. There are 2 stars for the great view and the nice presentation of the food. Unfortunately the service was subpar. The service doesn't know almost all of the dishes, the main waiter is unfriendly and seems arrogant. If vegetarian starters are delivered as a main course, they cost almost twice as much, the wrong drinks are delivered and the dishes are incomplete. Overall, the dishes are too expensive despite the Stuttgart area. Despite the beautiful view, we won't be back…

Bad... just bad. What has happened since December??? No longer worth a visit.

One star is too many! Bad, worse - thistle farm! Drunk boss who talks down his employees, bad service, only 3 tables occupied on Friday evening says it all and still nothing works, neither service nor food are worth an evening here. When paying at the end, the drunk boss makes a complete mess of his employee, who is really trying, for no reason and in front of us guests. I have never experienced anything like this and never want to experience it again. Hopefully this review can save other potential guests from this disaster and a bad evening.

It was the worst evening we have ever experienced. Anyone who wanted still water was told unfortunately it wasn't available. Aperol spritz was diluted so that you could now taste water. Our food was swapped and also served cold.

Food...well... It's better not to order a Greek salad, I ordered a sparkling water for €2.90, that's what it said on the menu got a bottle for €4.80, complaint pointless... waiter underground... well the weather was nice. Of course we won't come back!

We didn't like it that much. Service had problems communicating. Salad was good. Kässpatzen were nothing special. You don't have to go there for that.

We made a reservation for my daughter's 35th birthday and were told by phone that some of them were about 15 minutes late... Don't be a problem, we're here, was the answer... Well, it was closed! Closed! I was there on time, waited in the car and no one had left the restaurant... So no one was there beforehand and we had already been lied to on the phone. And there's also a problem with the writing. Unfortunately not recommended.

Having been here many times, I am disappointed and horrified. We were there for almost half an hour, no one came (staff wasn't there at first, then he walked between the tables and ignored the people) and asked us if we wanted to eat or drink something. There was only one other table in the entire restaurant occupied, and at least they had drinks. It's a shame, it used to be really nice there.

Went there to have something to eat. The wine was barely drinkable and my friend brought the aperol back. The waiter brought a new one but unfortunately it didn't work either. Somehow I felt sorry for the waiter but when he told me that this dish wasn't on the recommendation board, we paid and left with an empty stomach.

Very good food, I really like it

Went here for dinner to celebrate our 3 year old. Positive: - you could sit outside and had a nice one View over the vineyards - good, free parking spaces available - Service staff was very attentive noticed and came more- come to our table again to ask if everything was ok - Espresso was very good - Landlord only served 1 meal expects, because cheese spaetzle was without cheese and that Cranberries were missing. Negative: - The food: Both had cheese spaetzle with wedges + cranberries ordered. The cheese spaetzle was without Cheese. The breading of the Schnitzel tasted sweet. Cranberries were missing. Spaetzle were cold, the rest were warm warm. You had to pay to the checkout. When asked about this missing cheese was discovered clarifies that the cheese is in the Sauce was (a gravy). Ultimately there was only one Food charged. Food wise we were on our 3 year old served.

Ice cold rooms. Unfortunately, the food was a disappointment: cold roast, too well done, instead of the announced cheese spaetzle, there was only spaetzle with sauce and that wasn't quite there either, there were also fries thrown on the plate. The meat tasted great, but unfortunately everything was cold. For €28 it was so annoying. The service was okay, but a bit strange. It's a shame, the view is really a dream!

I don't even know where to start, you used to be able to eat really well here but now even 1 star is one too many. It was freezing cold in the restaurant itself, the service was subpar (and that's putting it nicely), the menu had already been massively shortened and yet the food was an absolute disappointment. Cheese spaetzle where you desperately look for the cheese, schnitzel with a strange aftertaste etc. and also cold. The service didn't even look for us but had to actively search for us even though it was empty and was also at least drunk. The dog in the kitchen topped it all off.

Incredibly unprofessional and rude staff. The waiter was extremely drunk and made racist and misogynistic comments, among other things. We also had to wait 1 hour until the drinks were brought - only for 3 out of 12 people. Disastrous and unpleasant atmosphere 👎🏼

We were ignored for half an hour today and after our friend spoke to the waiter, unfortunately no one came. The restaurant wasn't full, which was a shame.

We cook in an “Adolf ***** kitchen?!” After a few years, we had dinner at the Thistle Farm again last Saturday and were unfortunately bitterly disappointed. First we were asked to wait. An employee had an accident with the goods in the car and the owner had to get the goods. Of course we had complete understanding and the chef who took over the service was really great. The owner later took over, and he didn't seem sober. Unfortunately it was quite cold and instead of turning up the heating, we were given blankets... Everything took a long time, for example the main course was only served after the starters had been cleared away, even though only 5 tables were occupied between 5 and 9 p.m. Many items on the menu were not available. He wanted to make an extra card. Yes, but he didn't. The owner also made fun of the fact that people would order cheese spaetzle in the summer and Spanish platters in the winter - WHAT IS ON THE MENU?! Of two latte macchiatos, there was only one and a hot chocolate. The owner just asked: “Bad?” It's a shame about the cocoa, but I was craving coffee, which unfortunately I never got. The latte macchiato that was delivered had something smeared on the outside of the glass, probably caramel syrup. The main course was lukewarm to cold, the plates were ice cold. We brought a plate back to the kitchen ourselves after a few minutes because of cold gnocchi (so it wouldn't take so long). The owner then came with the warmed up food and said that she shouldn't talk for 20 minutes, but rather eat. Otherwise it would be clear that the food would be cold. My friend kindly said that he was a chef himself and that the plates should be warmed up beforehand. The owner seemed irritated and then loudly said that they were cooking in an "Adolf H***** kitchen". He probably said that the kitchen was old. Ultimately, not everything that was ordered was delivered here either. We have the bill Having to wait forever (and in the end there were two dishes worth over €50 that we didn't even eat). After we got to the bar when it was closed to pay (we had been there for 4 hours by now) and complained about the bad thing Service complained, the Owner really rude. He shouted at us, accused us of speaking to him disrespectfully, and overall he seemed like he was under some kind of influence, his mood fluctuated between aggressive and apologetic. And of course he had to say “Adolf” again Mention "H***** kitchen". It could have been expressed much more stylishly, but it didn't. We say: Thanks to the chef who did his best to bridge the wait for the owner. We had no way of knowing that the evening would go down the drain because of him.

The three of us were there spontaneously without a reservation with our dog. It was a very nice evening. Food was great and the service was very attentive. The view and the sunset are wonderful. Any time.

Service and food a disaster! After the order was finally taken, the food arrived with a long delay (at low capacity). In some cases this was not delivered at all and was also delivered incorrectly. Furthermore, it was mostly cold to lukewarm at most and the taste was subpar. Greasy fries and schnitzels as well as sauces with a questionable taste. In addition, the high price only allows for a very poor assessment! One star is actually too many... It's a shame, you could actually eat very well here in the past.

Receipt printing was an impossible request. Digitalization is so difficult. You have to learn something new. The food was extremely tasteless. The carrots it looked like were cooked from Antimatter…..

Delicious steak, unfortunately it was sold out on the last visit

We had dinner. Everything tasted really good. And also well prepared...

We ate here for the first time with friends yesterday, at the end of October. The thistle farm has a location with a great view, which can be enjoyed from the (covered) terrace, especially on a warm summer night. Unfortunately it was quite frosty in the restaurant yesterday, so overall I didn't feel very comfortable. I mentioned it to the waiter, but there was no improvement. On the other hand, the service itself was very friendly. I mean, there were 3 people including kitchen staff who ran the place. Sometimes you wait a little longer, but we didn't mind. The menu is a small culinary journey around the world. And all four of our meals were very, very good, in terms of taste and also very appealing to the eye. The restaurant has the feel of a former riflemen's home, decorated with all sorts of interesting decorations from all over the world. Diversity probably counts here. :) I thought the prices were really okay, especially for Stuttgart conditions! We'd love to come back, but only when it's warm ;)

Unfortunately a failure We spontaneously went to the thistle farm on Monday evening to have a little something to eat. Unfortunately we had to wait for everything. Waiting around 45 minutes for 2 soups when there's really nothing going on in the restaurant is really not possible. The tomato soup was over-seasoned and cooled down by the thick mozzarella, which was also at refrigerator temperature. The potato soup tasted like parsnips and saffron, but not like potatoes. You could cope with everything if the tomato soup didn't cost €13 and was served with fridge-cold white bread. But what was most annoying was the waiting time... It's a real shame that the great location is managed like this. Maybe it's not always like that, but our experience in the summer was similar, especially in terms of the waiting time.

First pleasant surprise- it was not only open at 3.30PM but you could get any dish on the menu - which is almost impossible in Stuttgart at this time of the day. Spectacular views and imaginative design are already enough reason to visit the place, but the menu itself also can meat the most demanding tastes - from vegetarians and light eaters to meat lovers and foodies. But the real highlight of our visit was our friendly and knowledgeable service, we felt like we took a course in culture and traditions of the world.

We were there spontaneously today as we were staying overnight in Stuttgart. We received a very warm welcome. Had a great place with a view of the vineyards. The food was very tasty and the waiter was very nice. We'll definitely come back ☺️ Greetings from Neckarsulm 🙋🏻‍♀️

First of all, I would like to apologize to the amazing staff for only reviewing today. A week ago I spontaneously went "upstairs" to enjoy the view and eat delicious food. I wasn't disappointed. The service is outstanding and the price/performance ratio is excellent. The steak was very tasty. The entire ambience was appropriate and I was surprised at the price because it is really cheap by today's standards. Very nice shop, food came within minutes!

Perfect atmosphere, friendly people. The food is excellent and they are flexible in preparing almost anything. The drinks and cocktails are of high quality. Unfortunately, my partner has a food intolerance, but that wasn't an obstacle either. The prices are also cheap and this does not come at the expense of quality. It was just perfect for us. We went for dinner, but we definitely wanted to come here for lunch the next day, and we spent 1 night in the city. Definite maximum rating. I recommend it to everyone! The food was really delicious and excellently prepared, the service was very friendly, unfortunately, like everywhere else, there is a lack of staff here, which increased the waiting times. Price-performance fair. No ambience, there is a point deducted because, among other things, we went there because of the beautiful view, which was not possible due to the height of the hedge and during the beautiful sunset the blinds were also lowered, which obscured the view even more. We'd love to come back, but then we'll have more time.

Conditions a catastrophe. We waited forever for our drinks. During the meal, none of our 10 colleagues had anything to drink and when we repeatedly asked for something more, we were just rudely left aside. Clearly too few conditions but just a hint of friendliness towards the guests and they would understand and accept it better. The dry age duroc tomahawk died twice, the rest of the food was ok so far.

Staff unfriendly, listless, food average, ambience also nothing special, and how long you have to wait for your food is really rude, it's better not to eat here.

So nicely furnished. Were only there for a couple of drinks. Service unfortunately very inattentive. Long waiting time even though it was almost empty. Aperol spritz looks like it's full of berries, but the taste is far from good. Not worth a second visit.

We had a good meal in this small, quaint restaurant. The meals were very tasty. The sauce for the onion roast was not traditional, but still tasty. The service was very friendly, if a bit chaotic. The waiting times were a little longer at times, but that didn't bother us personally.

Were there on Tuesday. Unfortunately only 1 man in service and 1 man at the counter. As much as the man in service was stressed and yet friendly, the gentleman at the counter was so relaxed. While one runs and apologizes repeatedly, the other strolls back and forth in complete calm. End of the song with just under 40 guests - a whole 40 minutes until we had our drinks (at almost 30° C) and the starter came shortly before the drinks..... The food was tasty but nothing special. If you sit in the 2nd row of tables like we did, you can hardly see anything of the view thanks to the hedge that has grown too high. We won't be coming back any time soon.

Unfortunately there is no view, as the name suggests, someone should trim the hedges. But the worst thing about it all is that everything is a bit dingy. We ordered two mixed salads with turkey and in one salad there was a whole head of unpeeled garlic in the plate. Never again !!!!

Went there with a child and waited forever for spaetzle with sauce and 1 scoop of chocolate ice cream with cream (45 minutes). We've never had any bad experiences, but today we're really disappointed.

What they deliver here has nothing to do with gastronomy. I think they just want to party and sell a little something at the same time. People behind the counter visibly drunk... or whatever they threw themselves into. Just a shame...

We placed our order and waited an hour for our food. We asked and were told it would be ready in 5 minutes. But after that we waited for another half hour, but the order still didn't come. It's obvious that they don't value customers here. Finally we canceled our order. When we explained the situation, all we got was a "we are aware" response. If you're hungry, you shouldn't come here

Unfortunately an absolute failure. We wanted to celebrate my grandma's 85th birthday there as a family. Except for one meal, everything was cold - not even lukewarm. This might work with a schnitzel, but it certainly won't work with an onion roast and liver! Had to let it go back. When it came back it was lukewarm and the meat was tough and therefore inedible. The waiter was visibly uncomfortable and tried hard but was visibly overwhelmed by the number of tables, which is why we kept being left stranded. The boss came at some point and apologized for the bad food and asked to deduct a certain amount from the bill, which was appropriate. But when a bartender stared at my neckline on the way to the toilet and made a stupid comment, the boss's redress unfortunately didn't help either. We will never enter this store again. Oh, and you don't have any view of the view because the hedges cover it!

The boss of the diesel farm was visibly drunk and treated the guests outrageously. At the next table, a guest didn't get any food when he asked for the tuna to be fried more thoroughly. He said I wouldn't let myself be lectured, that's how it belongs. But he should still pay it We went out after drinking because there was no food after 2.5 hours and we were also insulted. Later the situation escalated and the police came along and said the landlord of the house was known to the public prosecutor Never again.

Super nice there and the waiter was also very nice. But we had to wait over 2.5 hours for our food after ordering, then it gradually arrived half an hour later. The salad was without dressing and the fish was not fried as ordered. Given the prices (over €20 per dish) this is simply not acceptable.

We had reserved for 6:30 p.m., were assigned a table and then the waiting began. We ordered at 7 p.m. and the drinks arrived at 7:30 p.m. The starters arrived at a delayed time at 8:30 p.m. The half sliced ​​tomato that came with the burrata for a whopping EUR 12.80 was moldy in three places. When this was pointed out, the plate was taken back and the delivery of the main courses began after a remarkable 2.5 hours. When the plate with burrata came back (delivered personally by the boss, without apology), the tomato was hollowed out and the burrata was "sunk" into it ". When asked if this was the dish now, because it looks different now, the boss said in original tone: you have eyes in your head, right? We were so perplexed that we couldn't think of anything to say except that his tone had probably changed dramatically. The salads were so small and without dressing that we wondered what the "small salad plate" looked like. The tuna steak was ordered between medium and well done. It arrived frozen inside. We let it go back with a request to continue frying it. After 20 minutes the boss came back with the plate (unchanged) and asked who it belonged to. It was the same person who already had the rotten tomato. Boss's comment: "You again!" He then wanted to explain that the tuna has to look like this and that we shouldn't lecture him again and that we could come into the kitchen if we knew everything better. I then discreetly pointed out that we were paying money here and he was getting money. He then ran away in a huff. 10 minutes later a waitress came with champagne and 100 EUR and the boss was sorry. The tuna stopped coming. We still had to pay it and other guests also left because their food didn't come. The boss was as full as a beach howitzer and insulted everyone who wasn't in the trees at 3. Underground. Nobody believes you. It's a shame for the great location. Addendum: Went even further. When paying we pointed out that we didn't have the fish because it wasn't fried and brought back as expected, but was simply kept. The boss then explained to the person paying that he shouldn't be lectured, that she was old and ugly and that she should pay now and leave. We left the 100 EUR and the champagne behind. The police came and assured us that the boss was known to the police. We have refrained from filing a complaint because of insults, but we hope that as many people as possible will read this and make the right decision.

Great food with a wonderful view of Stuttgart

Arrived at 8pm on a weekday. There were probably 8 tables still free. They wanted to place us at the cat table in the "viewing room" next to a plastic wall behind a bush. We asked again politely if there was anything else available. That was denied. I used to really enjoy coming here but I probably won't go there anymore. Really a shame. Service is everything.

Very nice panorama but .... Prices are too high for what you get and the service is not quite educated! The waiting time is not ok and often there is no milk or coffee!

The onion roast had the right ingredients, but the look said it was a beef steak with onion sauce. But it was really good. So the point is only deducted because I'm used to something different with onion roast. The point deducted from the service is due to the fact that we were a large (registered) group, but the cash register software works strictly according to tables and, as always, something was left open at the end that was expected to be the last one to pay.

This is truly a hidden gem in Stuttgart. Amazing service and ambience, but do not recommend going there for food. It looked good but tasted pretty basic. Go there for drinks to enjoy the sunset instead.
