Rustikale, gut bürgerliches Essen zu leicht überteuerten Preis. Grosse Auswahl bei Alkoholika. Extrawünsche werden bedient. Freundliches und gut geschultes Personal. Man sollte reservieren.

Wir waren spontan im Gutshof und waren angetan von dem netten Ambiente. Die Speisekarte kam fix und wir haben und für die preislich höheren Gerichte entschieden . Das Gericht mit dem Kabeljau sah optisch toll aus und schmeckte sehr gut. Der Gutshofteller war durchaus schmackhaft, allerdings war das Rindfleisch von Sehnen durchzogen und daher nicht essbar. Zweimal kam die Bedienung und fragte ob alles ok sei. Man zeigte seine Bestürzung ob des Fleisches und meinte dann aber lapidar: das kann mal vorkommen. Also bitte, das sollte nicht vorkommen! Und eine Entschuldigung oder ein Austausch des Fleisches wären angebracht gewesen.

Wir waren spontan auf der Durchreise zum Abendessen im Gutshof. Wir fanden das Ambiente des Lokals sehr schön, die Bedienung sehr freundlich und das Essen war ein schöner Mix aus „modern“ und „klassisch traditionell“. Wir hatten im Gutshof einen sehr schönen Abend und würden jederzeit wiederkommen. Eine ganz klare Ansage Empfehlung von uns.

Der Einstieg mit einer Tafel Spitzsuppe war sehr mineralisch. Das Schnitzel mit den Pilzen in Rahmsoße war okay. die Truthahnbrustfilet waren zu trocken und tot gebraten.

Ambience great. Very historical place. Overall, food is not our cup of tea. When it comes up, the grill plate had a total of just under 150 grams of meat. Two pieces of loin are still completely raw on one side. At just under 30 euros that's definitely not okay. Also the large portion of asparagus for just under 30 euros for 450g of asparagus. Not peeled cleanly and unfortunately not cooked properly. Too short in the water and unfortunately completely hard. Unfortunately, the boiled beef broth we chose as a starter was significantly too salty. Only tolerable when diluted with clear water. In our opinion, the prices are overall quite high. For 2 main courses and a children's meal plus 3x the above-mentioned broth plus drinks at 135 euros is rather high... Others can do this much better for the price. Sorry.

I ate the best Schnitzel from here. Portion size and taste is outstanding. Will visit again!

Freundliche Bedienung der Grillteller kam ohne Grillfleisch, dafür mit einigen kleinen totgebratenen Fleischstücken aus der Pfanne. Das Beilagengemüse reichhaltig aber ohne ein Gewürz gesehen zu haben. Die Pilzsahnesoße in Ordnung, aber nicht mehr Die gefüllten Nudeltaschen auf einem Haufen Rukola waren geschmacklich o.k. Für beide Gerichte gilt: absolut überzogener Preis ein enttäuschender Besuch, der sicher keine Wiederholung erfahren wird

We have known Gutshof for years. Actually a very good address in Kassel, and rightly so, very renowned for meat eaters. As vegetarians we have to say, unfortunately it doesn't deserve more than one star. At lunch there was only a vegetarian starter. As main courses after the potato soup, there were only more, excessive carbohydrates (pasta; gnocci). That's not contemporary. Seasonal, healthy, vegan, low carb... none. It would also be nice if the chef expressed his appreciation for meat-free lifestyles by occasionally changing the dishes. In my opinion, one of the two main dishes has been there for at least 7-8 years, the other has been replaced: just more wheat.

Very close to the Wilhelm Oberland World Heritage Site, there is a row of Michelin-recommended restaurant signs. I ordered the famous meat platter 4.5, the fried pork chop with salad and mushroom sauce 4.4, the environment is good, and the decoration is typical German style.

Wow - that was an experience! Delicious and unusual food at a high level at fair prices. Gladly again.

We have been eating here for many years. Unfortunately the price-performance ratio doesn't match at all. A small veal schnitzel with cold and sour potato salad for €38 without any other side dish is outrageous!! Not long ago, the previous owner received a greeting from the kitchen. This no longer exists. For us, only the prices have changed with the new owner, the quality of the meat has remained the same. The staff is inexperienced and side dishes came way too late. We won't be visiting this restaurant again.

Despite having reserved a table, there were difficulties in allocating tables and it seemed very hectic. However, it was also very busy and the staff seemed slightly overwhelmed. But the excellent food made up for any initial problems. Absolutely worth a visit.

Gemütliches Restaurant mit gutem Essen Wir haben dort zu dritt mit der Familie gespeist. Das Restaurant hat eine angenehme, kuschelige Atmosphäre und ist ein guter Mix aus „schicker essen gehen“, aber in bürgerlich-entspannter Atmosphäre. Das Essen war sehr lecker und reichhaltig; für Vegetarier ist das Angebot wahrscheinlich ein bisschen mau, aber für uns war es perfekt. Herzlichen Dank an das nette Team! Wir kommen bestimmt wieder.

Beef roulade is a delight, definitely try it. A wonderful lunch with the potato dumpling. Portion is just right.

There were 9 of us that evening. Ordered according to menu and served well. A meal went back to fix it but it didn't get any better afterwards. For the schnitzel with fried potatoes, the fried potatoes had to be shared with the person next to you. I dont really like it. For me personally, a unique visit. I don't want to criticize here. This is my personal opinion. The others liked it, but unfortunately it didn't convince me personally.

At first it seemed a little expensive, but we ordered a dish and they brought us salad, the dish we ordered and the potatoes/rice on the dish separately. You are very full and the food and service are 10. Highly recommended.

Einfache Mittelklasse in Service und Geschmack. Kassel und Region hat viel besseres zu bieten, hier muss sich dringend was ändern: Selbst das engagierte und freundliche Personal konnte nicht darüber hinwegtäuschen, dass es sich um einen enttäuschenden Besuch handelte, da die Erwartungshaltung aufgrund erstklassiger Besuche im letzten Jahr hoch war. Das hektische Ambiente, die mehrmals abgestandenen Getränke und die enttäuschende Pfifferlingsuppe waren bedauerlich. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis entsprach nicht unseren Erwartungen. Einziger Lichtblick waren die Pommes und der Matjes. Die Creme Brûlée dauerte mehr als eine halbe Stunde und diese war sehr mittelmäßig. Die Toiletten waren zwar sauber, aber stark renovierungsbedürftig, und die Kaffeemaschine erwies sich als simpler Vollautomat, was nicht den Erwartungen an einen Gutshof entspricht. Hier liegt heutzutage die Messlatte viel höher. Da gibt es in manchen Pflegeheimen bessere Kaffees. Es wirkte so, als gäbe es ein chaotisches Management. Der offensichtliche Restaurant- oder Serviceleiter wies die unerfahrenen Angestellten hinter der Theke in einer wenig angemessenen Weise auf ihre Fehler hin, was keinen guten Eindruck hinterließ. Eine verpasste Gelegenheit war, dass passende Weine nicht angeboten wurden, obwohl sie die Getränkeauswahl verbessert hätten. Insgesamt gibt es in der Region weitaus bessere traditionelle Restaurants, die einen Besuch wert sind. Dieses Restaurant gehört zur Mittelklasse und ist am Ende für uns rausgeschmissenes Geld gewesen. Hier muss sich dringend was ändern, man könnte hier wirklich was raus machen. Wir hoffen auf Besserung.

Die Portionen sind - wie so oft bei dieser Kategorie an Restaurants - nicht allzu üppig, dafür von exzellenter Qualität 😋 Wer in Kassel gut essen gehen möchte, ist hier auf jeden Fall richtig 👍

Also wir waren ja schon öfter hier und das Essen ist immer gut. Aber bei meinem letzten Besuch war ich echt sprachlos,wenn wir nicht mit 10 Personen dort gewesen wären sondern allein wäre ich gegangen! Ein älterer Mann (er sagte (Chef) war so unhöflich und pampig das ging nicht.

Besonders jetzt, in dieser Jahreszeit, serviert der Gutshof eine Gänsebrust, die so phänomenal ist, dass man sich fragt, ob die Gänse selbst sich freiwillig gemeldet haben. Begleitet von perfekt abgestimmten Knödeln, Rotkraut und Grünkohl, ist jedes Bissen ein Fest für die Sinne. Die Atmosphäre ist einladend, das Personal herzlich, und das Essen? Einfach unvergesslich! Kurz gesagt, der Gutshof ist nicht nur ein Restaurant, sondern ein kulinarisches Erlebnis, das man nicht verpassen sollte. Wer hier nicht isst, verpasst etwas Großes!

Service und Weinauswahl sehr gut. Mit dem Essen war ich nicht so zufrieden. Suppe zu salzig, Gänsekeule zu hart und Kokos-Nachspeise ein Reinfall.

Ein Restaurant zum Wohlfühlen. Schöne Raumgestaltung. Keine lange Wartezeiten, sehr aufmerksames und flinkes Personal. Das Essen war von sehr guter Qualität. Die Speise- und Getränkekarte, sehr vielseitig.

Wir sind dort zufällig eingekehrt, sehr höfliche und authentische Bedienung. Essen hätte nicht besser zubereitet und serviert werden können. Sehr zu empfehlen.....

Sehr schönes Restaurant, mit sehr gutem Essen, das geht man gerne hin. Als Vorspeise hatte ich Burrata ( Edelmozzarella ), seh rlecker. Denn Gutshofteller kann ich nur empfehlen, ebsenso die Nachspeise Heiß&Kalt. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Wurde uns vom Hotel empfohlen. Sehr gepflegt, grosser Parkplatz, viele Sitzmöglichkeiten im Restaurant selbst. Sehr übersichtliche Speisekarte. Essen war sehr lecker und ausreichend. Personal freundlich.

Das Essen war hervorragend! Auch der Service lies keine Wünsche offen. Da die Zahl der Gäste an diesem Abend überschaubar war, gesellte sich der Wirt zu uns an den Tisch. Wir haben einen schönen Abend bei gutem Essen und nettem Ambiente verbracht.

Wir waren mit einer Gruppe von 23 Personen im Gutshof und saßen in einem nett dekorierten Nebenraum. Die Bedienung war sehr nett und auch sehr gut organisiert. Die Speisen wurden sehr zeitnah serviert und waren super lecker. Wir haben absolut nichts auszusetzen und kommen sehr gerne wieder.

Das Restaurant hat ein schönes Ambiente und wirkt sehr gemütlich. Da ich durch eine Magen OP keine "Standart" Portionen mehr essen kann, fragte ich, ob es die Möglichkeit auf halbe Portionen gibt. Zuerst wurde das verneint, dann jedoch zwei Gerichte genannt, bei denen es ausnahmsweise machbar wäre. Leider war meine Wahl nicht dabei und eines der erwähnten Gerichte mag ich ohnehin nicht. So fragte ich nach einem Gericht aus der "Kinder-Karte". Die wurde abgelehnt, mit der Begründung, das ginge unmöglich, da diese Speisen ausschließlich für Kinder seien (sterbe ich als Erwachsener, wenn ich die esse??? Ich bin ja schließlich das Kind meiner Eltern...) Egal, wie auch immer... damit sich der Kellner nicht strafbar macht und mir illegal einen Kinderteller verdealt, habe ich dann halt mein Wunschgericht bestellt und den Rest einpacken lassen... Das war dann das Schitzel "Försters Tochter". Das Schnitzel selbst war top und die Sauce mit den (frischen) Pilzen sehr lecker. Die Bratkartoffeln jedoch waren lauwarm und kein bisschen knusprig (eher so, wie festerer Schaumgummi). Der Salat war gut und die vegetarischen Gnocchi mit Rucola und Parmesan super. Die Sanitäranlagen waren sauber, aber nicht modern. Die Preise liegen im oberen Mittel. Mit der Vergabe der Sterne habe ich mich schwer getan - eigentlich hätte ich gerne 3,5 gegeben, aber das geht ja nicht - daher habe ich mich dann doch für 3 entschieden, denn 4 wäre "sehr gut" und dafür reicht es leider nicht ganz...

Bel locale tipico. Parcheggio ampio. Menù anche in lingua italiana (anche se non sono completi). Consiglio il dessert Vanillleeis Luca (servito al bicchiere). Unica pecca... il menù in italiano non è aggiornato con i prezzi attuali: 27 euro Rinderfiletsteak, poi 35 euro alla cassa!

A colleague and I had no reservation and speak very little/no German but the staff managed to fit us in and explain the menu. My friend had the schnitzel and I had the house special three meats plate. The food was excellent with some very nice house red and a weissbier.

Leckeres Essen in feinem Ambiente. Wir genossen 1 Zanderfilet auf Cesarsalat sowie einen leckeren Kalbfleischkloß mit Kapernsauce und Butterkartoffeln. 1 Rumpsteak mit Pfeffersauce und Salat, sowie ein leckeres Filet mit Silberzwiebeln in Rotwein und Kartoffelgratin. Alles sehr lecker. Vorweg eine klare Oxtail mit Wachteleiern. Beim Dessert genossen wir Panna Cotta, Creme Brulee und ein wunderbares Tiramisu. Es gibt einen sehr leckeren Ausschankwein und natürlich ein gepflegtes Pils. Die Digestifkarte ist ein Traum. Danke für den schönen Abend.

Wir waren mit der gesamten Familie essen. Das Essen war liebevoll zubereitet. Dies schmeckt man natürlich auch! Geschmacklich ein Hochgenuss. Das Personal ist zuvorkommend und herzlich. Der Preis stimmt ebenfalls.

Das Essen ist sehr schmackhaft. Habe das vegetarische israelische Gericht probiert und war begeistert. Die Portionen sind ausreichend. Das Bier schmeckt. Die Bedienung war freundlich (wie man in den Wald hineinruft). Ich kann dieses Lokal sehr empfehlen.

Unser Besuch fand am 30.11.2021 zum Gänseessen statt. Wir kennen die Lokalität schon seit Eröffnung. Ich habe mein Hochzeit dort gefeiert und wir haben Geburtstage und viele Weihnachten dort verbracht. Das Essen war wie immer sehr sehr gut gewesen, es gab nichts daran auszusetzen. Leider hat der Service sehr nachgelassen. Die 3 Mädels die im Service waren sehr unaufmerksam ! Wir saßen vor leeren Gläsern

Das Fleisch war zart und saftig. Das Rotkraut war geschmacklich ganz gut, jedoch völlig zerkocht. Am schlimmsten war jedoch die Soße! Reines Industrieprodukt, nicht im geringsten verfeinert. Der riesige Kloß ear zäh! Insgesamt nicht empfehlenswert !

Beim antreten ins Restaurant hatte die Bedienung kein Interesse an Covid Impfstatus . Auf die Frage wieso und warum „ wir glauben Ihnen „war die Antwort. Stickiger Luft ,kein Fenster geöffnet, die Gäste ohne Mundschutz bleiben stehen nah neben Nachbarn Tischen und plaudern .Kein Abstand ohne Schutz. Die Bedienung nervös und teilweise chaotisch. Leider die Situation im Gutshof hatte sich mit den Jahren verschlechtert

Personal ist sehr aggressiv, vor allem gegenüber Ausländer!!!Und wurde nicht mal erklärt, ab wann das Restaurant geöffnet ist. Nie wieder!!! Keine weitere Empfehlung!!!

Bei der Bestellung wollte ich etwas verändern es sollte ein Stück Leber an statt Schweinefilet sein . da sagte die Bedienung es geht nicht. Es ist zu kompliziert. Kurze zeit später kam der chef zu mir am Tisch und fragte mich was ich beruflich mache und sagte er nimmt seine mitarbeiter im Schutz und wollte mir erzählen es sei nicht möglich, weil es garnicht dazu passt. Ich bin selber Gastronom (Restaurantfachmann) also kenne mich aus und sowas ist ein no go. Man merkt ,dass die Bedienung nicht vom Fach ist. (Studentin) Fazit das Essen war nicht ausreichen und sehr teurer bei dem Preisen kann der gute Mann Fachleute einstellen. Der Gast ist König ohne sie konnt ihr zumachen.

I can’t criticise anything. My friends and my food was on point, everything arrived quickly although the restaurant was packed and the waiters were all really friendly as well! I’m definitely going to return when I’m passing through kassel again!

In a beautiful setting of an traditional german Farm Estate, located just below the Castle on the foot of Hercules, and with the many Michelin Stickers on the door, we thought we were in for a treat. Very friendly staff found us a nice table, although we had no reservation on a Friday evening. Unfortunately, I had to learn that the food is prepared hastily, quickly warmed up in the microwave. The uninspired pumpkin soup was warm in different stages, it still ok, yet nothing outstanding and certainly not worth a mention in the Michelin Guide. Main course came straight out of the microwave, the meat was like warm in the middle and dry on top, the 3 sauces with a nice “skin” on top (indicating the microwave) and the meat water was running all over my plate, merging with the sauces. The accompanying Rösti clearly were ready made frozen, tossed into the fryer. The Salad Bar does not deserve a different word but “sad”. The wine was good. Staff was very nice, and since I sent back my dinner, they had the decency not to charge me for it. Other guests in my group weren’t impressed with their meals, too. None of us has any plans to return to this Restaurant.

This restaurant is located in a beautiful large farm like structure with plenty of parking. My friend Susan and I found it by chance walking towards the Hercules Building. The inside is fancy yet cozy and traditional beautiful setting inside and out. The food was very reasonably priced between 11-20 Euros for each plate. We had the Schnitzel and the serving was large and generous which more than satisfied our appetite after we went to the baths near by for a few hours. The mashed potatoes were the best I have ever had and we also had a delicious soup. The service was fabulous and the owner came to introduce himself and we ended up chatting with him for a very pleasant conversation. I would highly recommend this restaurant after you visit the castle, the Monument. or the Spa,

We had a large group of 14 and they managed us very well. The filet steak was very good and we especially enjoyed the wine. The others had dessert and raves about it.

Dining experiences are to be savoured in this restaurant. The food was timely and the service was brilliant, and the waitress knew English perfectly. The great setting at the bottom of the Wilhelmshohe Bergpark just added to the evening. Indoor or outdoor options, and the ambience is fantastic.

This Michelin recommended restaurant does not disappoint, its meat oriented menu provides an excellent choice of German favourites, soft tempting schnitzel, nicely rare veal casoulet, juicy ox cheek stew. The desserts don't thrill on the menu but we all enjoyed light cinnamon sprinkled crime brûlée and rich creamy but quickly vanishing coconut ice delight. Sweet waiters and an uplifting al fresco environment made this a happy and positive dining experience in Kassel.

From the movie beach - we all want to find a piece of home when traveling. For me it means good food and wine. After a very low point on our first night in Kassel. We were so delighted to find Gutshof via mechilin guide. Exceptionally well selected wine list. When I say exceptionally it is. Believe me. Lam's rack is well prepared, tender and pink. Very lucky we could sit outside the whole evening and the owner was very attentive, dropping by from time to time. We came back the day afterwords - which does not happen very often in our traveling as we love to explore. But yes when the wine and food are so pleasantly surprise I think I have found a piece of home in Kassel.

Great location, located directly on the main entry road into the Wilhemshoehe park. The restaurant is a traditional German style restaurant with a Biergarten at the back. The meal was great, price was reasonable and the taste was totally worth it! The restaurant was already rated by number of by food critics!

It was our first visit to Kassel for business and our first dining experience in this city. The atmosphere and the meals were great but the way one particular waitress (in black striped shirt) treated us was rather shocking... not only was she unfriendly .. she didn't even bother re-set the table (after the last customers) for us and asked my husband to grab the knife and fork from the other side himself. After some unpleasant look from our side I guess she thought we were hostile and then stopped coming to our table. We could see how she "discussed" with her colleagues behind the bar. If you are not a regular customer or look "foreign", don't expect to be treated like a normal customer. We only feel sorry for the young girl whom the waitress bossed around to get us the bill (while this was supposed to be done by herself). A pity that the waitress in black striped shirt doesn't respect her own profession as she's supposed to.

The food quality and the atmosphere are five star, without hesitation. However, the service was disappointingly inattentive. English language menus are available, but have a more limited listing. On another night, perhaps our experience will be 5 star; the place is certainly capable of that. An excellent choice, overall.

Good but not exceptional german kitchen, friendly staff although most of the time a bit (over)crowded, good choice of wines, seasonal dishes are good, prices are acceptable.

A bit off from the city center is this very central european style of restaurant with friendly staff. The food is ok, the wine list is ok and the general impression is "ok". Exceptional selection of digestifs! So dont miss out on a great obstler, a grappa or something else after your meal.

This Restaurant serves German Food of high Standard. Try especially the seasonal dishes (goose in November, Asparagus in May etc.), they have all the characteristics of good German cuisine plus a Special taste.

Last night, I visited the Gutshof for the first time. It was a wonderful experience. Excellent and varied menu. Great wine list (without the typical large mark-ups). Nice ambiance (gemütlich) and great location in Wilhelmhohe. 2 people with great bottle of Sancerre for Euro 70....

Restaurant is nice and atmosphere is ok. This place is good for large groups and business dinner organization. Dishes are delicious and they have good wines too. It's worth to have dinner there.
