At first glance the prices seem a bit high, but when you get the food, it's worth every cent. So: Very good food, nice and attentive staff and a very nice atmosphere. We will come back next time we visit Kassel.

I was very disappointed with this place. The service left a lot to be desired. People sat for a long time in front of empty glasses. My food was not what I ordered. After the complaint and return there was no request for anything else or no compensation. Unfortunately, the price-performance ratio is not right here. The ambience is very nice.

Food tastes very good, small menu, high prices, normal portions, very outdated, the whole, jumbled inventory and the toilets... well

We had the opportunity to get to know this restaurant through a voucher. The service was extremely professional and the food was excellent. The quality of the food was excellent and the portions were sufficient. The restaurant's interior is attractive, while the sanitary facilities could certainly use some modernization.

Reservations, service, ambience are excellent. We were there with 10 adults and 1 child. I expected more from the food. The taste was ok, but the serving was subpar. Something like this in this price range shouldn't leave the pass.

Yesterday we celebrated a family dinner. Our first time in this luxurious restaurant. Very tasty food. Our large table was filled very neatly and tastefully. Thank you all very much for a wonderful and delicious evening.

a Friday was really a Friday the 13th for us. Thanks to our decision to stay with you. What a fatal decision! We made reservations several weeks ago for 9 p.m. My colleague, Conny Hofer, managed this wonderfully. Our previous event was delayed a bit, so we got a call to hurry up as the kitchen closes at 9:30 p.m. I would have liked to have known this beforehand so that I could decide whether we think cooking until 9:30 p.m. is sufficient. E.g. to be able to order dessert later. Which – unfortunately – didn’t work out as hoped. But from the beginning: The Asian waitress was just barely friendly when she took our order. A cola was not brought as a zero but with sugar and remained at the table until the end, undrunk. The potato dumpling was missing from the game ragout. And the food was completely cold! How does it work? How can a meal that I hope will be freshly cooked for us be cold? I would like the chef to explain this to me. By the way, all the plates were hot and we were warned not to touch them: Is that a sign that everything is being warmed up? And that the ragout was forgotten? Then we liked dessert. Oh yes! There was something... the kitchen was closed. And we no longer had the choice to change our minds. We only received this information on the day of the visit. So there was only ice cream. What a mess. Sometimes there was chocolate. Then not. Then 1 ball. Oh but 2 because chocolate was back. And the pomegranate sorbet we ordered wasn't brought to the table at all. It's definitely on the invoice. I didn't check it - because I just wanted to get away. What happened next, as if that wasn't enough, was beyond anything I've ever experienced in a restaurant. The service that brought the ice cream, new to us, couldn't be topped in terms of unfriendliness. We were literally “pammed” because we first had to think about who had which ice cream (it took about 3-5 seconds) She then came to us several times. And as extremely unfriendly as I have ever experienced anything like that in a kebab shop. When I asked her why she was treating us so unkindly, we were told: “You have to decide quickly who gets what when I bring the ice cream.” When I asked her to tell me her first name so that I could mention it in the following Google review, the answer was no. Later a “head waiter” (?) came by who apologized and wanted to make it right. Do well? All that? Not possible! One meal was taken off the bill and there was still a free drink for those who wanted. By the way, the food was delicious. But honestly: If I do go out to eat, I want the experience to be nice. Then it can be fun. Then I can feel good. Then we just wanted to leave. On Saturday, a colleague vomited several times. And three other colleagues were very sick on Saturday. I can't say whether this was because of the food. I have already rated you through the automatic email and even provided my name and phone number. To be honest, as expected, I haven't heard anything from you. Then it also gives a round picture. In short: a terrible evening for Kassel's slightly upscale gastronomy. They really “ruined” our Christmas party – sorry for that expression. Somehow it fits with the behavior of this terribly terrible waitress.

Cozy atmosphere with pleasant background noise, very attentive and friendly service staff. The main course (goose breast with green and red cabbage and dumpling in chestnut sauce) was served within half an hour, after which there was already a small appetizer. The food was extremely delicious and we also enjoyed a delicious wine. We are completely satisfied and would like to come back.

We went there several times as a family of 5 to eat goose. The food was very tasty and it came to everyone at the same time, which is very important to me personally. Despite the restaurant being fully booked, the service was attentive, quick and very friendly. I'm looking forward to next time.

Last night we had dinner at the Gutshof restaurant with a relatively large group. The atmosphere in the higher-up side room was very good and we had a lot of fun. The food, including starters and main courses, including dessert, was prepared with a lot of love and served by some excellent waitresses. All in all, everyone (around 20 people) was very impressed and enthusiastic. The price and performance ratio was also reasonable and we had a completely successful evening and we all went home happy and satisfied. Many thanks to the Gutshof team for the brilliant all-round care.

Don't get me wrong, a really great place, great service and the food is really good. But go to Bricks in Berlin or the Elephant in Weimar, for example, the cuisine has a little more to offer. And therefore, compared to star restaurants, “only” 4 stars (but it tastes really good 😋)

Wir haben hier am Sonntag Abend sehr gut gegessen. Wir genossen ein Steinpilzcremsuppe, dann Ente je einmal Brust - und Keule. Wunderbar gebraten mit ganz leckerem frischen Rotkohl und herrlichen Kartoffelknödel. Dazu hatte ich eine Portion frische Steinpilze bestellt. ( Superlecker) Wir waren sehr zufrieden und kommen gerne wieder.

Great place authentic German food all very good, excellent wines.

The first round of drinks went relatively quickly. But that was it. We (6 people) had to wait about 50 minutes for our food. The meat was fried and dry and the vegetables had a lot of bite. The second round of drinks was a long time coming. To get to the point. That was nothing, and there is still a lot of room for improvement here. It's a shame that the atmosphere and the menu leave us expecting more.

The route there is really easy to access with a wheelchair, it's a short walk from the bus stop to the restaurant. Just before you join the premises of the restaurant there is cobblestones but staff very nice food was very good ambience was also very good. It's a very nice restaurant and I definitely recommend it. I was there with my shared apartment and the staff is very friendly. Personally, I think the small menu is very good because it makes the decision easier.

The six of us ate and tried various starters and main courses, including the tuna steak, which was perfectly fried and presented very attractively. The other dishes were also flawless, the estate is definitely recommended, full 5 stars.

We had lunch with nine people for a school starting party. We made the reservation three weeks in advance. Because of the entanglements there was a lot going on in the restaurant at lunchtime that day. Ordering drinks went normally. We had to wait some time to take our food order. The highlight was that we had to wait 1.5 hours for food without any information and an unfriendly answer when asked. Here the restaurant with its high prices does not live up to its expectations at all and after the experience we can only clearly advise against visiting it as a group. If the kitchen and staff situation are not sufficient, then as a restaurant you simply cannot give out more seats than you can handle. Very unfortunate. The food was delicious, but given the conditions, no apology and then the bill, we will definitely not be visiting the restaurant again!

Fantastic experience! Delightful and different dishes with fair prices, slightly more on the expensive side but it is worth it. Great atmosphere and incredibly friendly and welcoming staff. Overall one of the best hospitality experiences I’ve had in Germany. They also have a great whiskey selection!

Very nice restaurant. Great staff who responded very well to special requests. There was no salad on the menu but the kitchen put together a wonderful one. Something like this is important for people who can't eat everything. There is a lovely terrace outside and a great beer garden. The schnitzel I had was the best I've had in a long time. Full marks. A warm welcome, nice that you were there, would have been friendly.... on the other hand, we were directed from one table to the next and the colleague was reprimanded in our presence, telling us on the phone that there were no reservations in the beer garden... us seemed very tolerated...not really professional behavior

Solidly furnished restaurant with a terrace and beer garden. The menu is not extensive but sufficient. The prices are in the upper range. The dishes - schnitzel with mushrooms and veal meatballs with pepper mushrooms - were freshly prepared, sufficient and very tasty. The service was quick and friendly.

Danger! Inappropriate price-performance ratio! We asked in advance whether we could bring cake for a birthday, but in the end we found out on the bill that we were charged 7x3.50€ for 7 plates and forks, i.e. 24.50€. This behavior is simply not appropriate. It's a shame, we were very disappointed.

Wir waren spontan im Gutshof und waren angetan von dem netten Ambiente. Die Speisekarte kam fix und wir haben und für die preislich höheren Gerichte entschieden . Das Gericht mit dem Kabeljau sah optisch toll aus und schmeckte sehr gut. Der Gutshofteller war durchaus schmackhaft, allerdings war das Rindfleisch von Sehnen durchzogen und daher nicht essbar. Zweimal kam die Bedienung und fragte ob alles ok sei. Man zeigte seine Bestürzung ob des Fleisches und meinte dann aber lapidar: das kann mal vorkommen. Also bitte, das sollte nicht vorkommen! Und eine Entschuldigung oder ein Austausch des Fleisches wären angebracht gewesen.

Wir waren spontan auf der Durchreise zum Abendessen im Gutshof. Wir fanden das Ambiente des Lokals sehr schön, die Bedienung sehr freundlich und das Essen war ein schöner Mix aus „modern“ und „klassisch traditionell“. Wir hatten im Gutshof einen sehr schönen Abend und würden jederzeit wiederkommen. Eine ganz klare Ansage Empfehlung von uns.

Very tasty food and courteous but not intrusive staff - We were there on a Saturday evening for a birthday dinner. The service was good, the portions were generous, tasty and of good quality. Special requests were taken into account without any problems. I ate the asparagus from the season menu with parmesan topping and the veal schnitzel. That was a dream. For starters there was burata with asparagus and for dessert a mascarpone cake with strawberries. The perfect menu for me in May. The boss was personally on site and was available to the guests at any time.

A spontaneous decision to eat here. We were lucky and still had a table for 4 people. Food was good. Lamb, Jägerschnitzel, burrata on asparagus salad. Service was friendly, nothing to complain about. Gladly again.

The staff and service were professional and absolutely top notch, the food was top notch. The fact that we were allowed to stand in front of the restaurant with our motorhome that night was the icing on the cake. We always like to come back Ambiance gets one star less, it was very loud that evening, but the restaurant can't do anything about that.

Der Einstieg mit einer Tafel Spitzsuppe war sehr mineralisch. Das Schnitzel mit den Pilzen in Rahmsoße war okay. die Truthahnbrustfilet waren zu trocken und tot gebraten.

Ambience great. Very historical place. Overall, food is not our cup of tea. When it comes up, the grill plate had a total of just under 150 grams of meat. Two pieces of loin are still completely raw on one side. At just under 30 euros that's definitely not okay. Also the large portion of asparagus for just under 30 euros for 450g of asparagus. Not peeled cleanly and unfortunately not cooked properly. Too short in the water and unfortunately completely hard. Unfortunately, the boiled beef broth we chose as a starter was significantly too salty. Only tolerable when diluted with clear water. In our opinion, the prices are overall quite high. For 2 main courses and a children's meal plus 3x the above-mentioned broth plus drinks at 135 euros is rather high... Others can do this much better for the price. Sorry.

Freundliche Bedienung der Grillteller kam ohne Grillfleisch, dafür mit einigen kleinen totgebratenen Fleischstücken aus der Pfanne. Das Beilagengemüse reichhaltig aber ohne ein Gewürz gesehen zu haben. Die Pilzsahnesoße in Ordnung, aber nicht mehr Die gefüllten Nudeltaschen auf einem Haufen Rukola waren geschmacklich o.k. Für beide Gerichte gilt: absolut überzogener Preis ein enttäuschender Besuch, der sicher keine Wiederholung erfahren wird

We have known Gutshof for years. Actually a very good address in Kassel, and rightly so, very renowned for meat eaters. As vegetarians we have to say, unfortunately it doesn't deserve more than one star. At lunch there was only a vegetarian starter. As main courses after the potato soup, there were only more, excessive carbohydrates (pasta; gnocci). That's not contemporary. Seasonal, healthy, vegan, low carb... none. It would also be nice if the chef expressed his appreciation for meat-free lifestyles by occasionally changing the dishes. In my opinion, one of the two main dishes has been there for at least 7-8 years, the other has been replaced: just more wheat.

Very close to the Wilhelm Oberland World Heritage Site, there is a row of Michelin-recommended restaurant signs. I ordered the famous meat platter 4.5, the fried pork chop with salad and mushroom sauce 4.4, the environment is good, and the decoration is typical German style.

We have been eating here for many years. Unfortunately the price-performance ratio doesn't match at all. A small veal schnitzel with cold and sour potato salad for €38 without any other side dish is outrageous!! Not long ago, the previous owner received a greeting from the kitchen. This no longer exists. For us, only the prices have changed with the new owner, the quality of the meat has remained the same. The staff is inexperienced and side dishes came way too late. We won't be visiting this restaurant again.

Das Restaurant hat eine angenehme, kuschelige Atmosphäre und ist ein guter Mix aus „schicker essen gehen“, aber in bürgerlich-entspannter Atmosphäre. Das Essen war sehr lecker und reichhaltig; für Vegetarier ist das Angebot wahrscheinlich ein bisschen mau, aber für uns war es perfekt. Herzlichen Dank an das nette Team! Wir kommen bestimmt wieder.

There were 9 of us that evening. Ordered according to menu and served well. A meal went back to fix it but it didn't get any better afterwards. For the schnitzel with fried potatoes, the fried potatoes had to be shared with the person next to you. I dont really like it. For me personally, a unique visit. I don't want to criticize here. This is my personal opinion. The others liked it, but unfortunately it didn't convince me personally.

Einfache Mittelklasse in Service und Geschmack. Kassel und Region hat viel besseres zu bieten, hier muss sich dringend was ändern: Selbst das engagierte und freundliche Personal konnte nicht darüber hinwegtäuschen, dass es sich um einen enttäuschenden Besuch handelte, da die Erwartungshaltung aufgrund erstklassiger Besuche im letzten Jahr hoch war. Das hektische Ambiente, die mehrmals abgestandenen Getränke und die enttäuschende Pfifferlingsuppe waren bedauerlich. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis entsprach nicht unseren Erwartungen. Einziger Lichtblick waren die Pommes und der Matjes. Die Creme Brûlée dauerte mehr als eine halbe Stunde und diese war sehr mittelmäßig. Die Toiletten waren zwar sauber, aber stark renovierungsbedürftig, und die Kaffeemaschine erwies sich als simpler Vollautomat, was nicht den Erwartungen an einen Gutshof entspricht. Hier liegt heutzutage die Messlatte viel höher. Da gibt es in manchen Pflegeheimen bessere Kaffees. Es wirkte so, als gäbe es ein chaotisches Management. Der offensichtliche Restaurant- oder Serviceleiter wies die unerfahrenen Angestellten hinter der Theke in einer wenig angemessenen Weise auf ihre Fehler hin, was keinen guten Eindruck hinterließ. Eine verpasste Gelegenheit war, dass passende Weine nicht angeboten wurden, obwohl sie die Getränkeauswahl verbessert hätten. Insgesamt gibt es in der Region weitaus bessere traditionelle Restaurants, die einen Besuch wert sind. Dieses Restaurant gehört zur Mittelklasse und ist am Ende für uns rausgeschmissenes Geld gewesen. Hier muss sich dringend was ändern, man könnte hier wirklich was raus machen. Wir hoffen auf Besserung.

Der Gutshof ist ein geschichtsträchtiger Ort und ein Restaurant mit fantastischer Küche. Das Essen ist nicht günstig, aber preiswert, der Service aufmerksam. Die Portionen sind - wie so oft bei dieser Kategorie an Restaurants - nicht allzu üppig, dafür von exzellenter Qualität 😋 Wer in Kassel gut essen gehen möchte, ist hier auf jeden Fall richtig 👍

Also wir waren ja schon öfter hier und das Essen ist immer gut. Aber bei meinem letzten Besuch war ich echt sprachlos,wenn wir nicht mit 10 Personen dort gewesen wären sondern allein wäre ich gegangen! Ein älterer Mann (er sagte (Chef) war so unhöflich und pampig das ging nicht.

Besonders jetzt, in dieser Jahreszeit, serviert der Gutshof eine Gänsebrust, die so phänomenal ist, dass man sich fragt, ob die Gänse selbst sich freiwillig gemeldet haben. Begleitet von perfekt abgestimmten Knödeln, Rotkraut und Grünkohl, ist jedes Bissen ein Fest für die Sinne. Die Atmosphäre ist einladend, das Personal herzlich, und das Essen? Einfach unvergesslich! Kurz gesagt, der Gutshof ist nicht nur ein Restaurant, sondern ein kulinarisches Erlebnis, das man nicht verpassen sollte. Wer hier nicht isst, verpasst etwas Großes!

Service und Weinauswahl sehr gut. Mit dem Essen war ich nicht so zufrieden. Suppe zu salzig, Gänsekeule zu hart und Kokos-Nachspeise ein Reinfall.

Essen geschmacklich top, Ambiente irgendwie seltsam. Preise recht hoch, aber Qualität rechtfertigt durchaus.
