I recently visited this restaurant and absolutely loved it! The schnitzels here are really amazing - they are not only incredibly tasty, but also really big and filling. The breading is perfectly crispy, the meat is tender and juicy, just the way you want it. Particularly noteworthy is the excellent price-performance ratio. For the quality and portion size, you really get a lot here without having to dig deep into your pockets. The atmosphere is pleasant and the service is friendly and attentive, which makes the visit a complete success. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a first class schnitzel experience!

We had a larger celebration at the inn at the weekend, a few little things here and there that could have gone better, but all in all, it was a nice celebration. The new owners were very friendly and implemented wishes. Portions are quite large and tasty. We'd love to come back.

Very tasty - very attentive, nice and charming service

The inn itself is great and so is the food, BUT the treatment of the employees is beneath all dignity. No matter how good the food is, what I saw there is not good at all! Even as a guest you get a bad feeling when you sit there.

We made reservations for a large group of about 35 people. A service person was provided for this large group. She was friendly and committed, but had a lot of trouble doing justice to this group. The food came after 1.5 hours. The meat eaters among us were happy about their home-style menu. The portions are very large. The vegetarian food left a lot to be desired. The “cheese” spaetzle were soaked in cream and you had to look for the cheese. The brewery salad came without dressing and crunched between the teeth. The cauliflower schnitzel had no breading and was simply seasoned. The prices were disproportionate.

Hello folks Booked for Easter Sunday at 1:00 p.m. and got the food at 4:20 p.m. If the restaurant is full, you can take an hour. With the long wait, the food arrived and that's when it happened. My steak was not edible because I couldn't get through it even with a steak knife (so it was very tough). The other food wasn't great either. Despite the fact that there was a discount for the long waiting time, that cannot be excused. If you have a lot of time, then you have to go there. Despite the price reduction, never again. P.S. If I could, I would give Rammelsberg zero points. What the staff does well, the rest cannot keep up. So as described, not recommended and never again.

Great place to stay and great food!

Very tasty, home-style cooking.

We have been regular guests among our colleagues for years. Recently the quality had suffered due to sharply increased prices, it was no longer what it was before. There was also a change of operator at the turn of the year. The new operator has brought back the good and tasty food. The portions are sometimes really big. I can recommend the cordon bleu and the mushroom schnitzel. The service staff have also become nicer. All in all, the reputation has been restored. The price is still quite high, but the portion sizes put it into perspective.

Price-performance ratio is not right here. A Viennese-style schnitzel was just a warm, dry schnitzel with fries. There was also a measly salad. That wasn't worth €20. My friends also came to the conclusion that the prices were too high for what was on offer here. The friendly service and the appealing ambience are of no use. My result: Not recommended. Paying €26 for a pork knuckle is very brave. But I can't comment on the taste

Wir hatten uns gefreut, dass das Gasthaus Zum Rammelsbeg wieder geöffnet ist und vermeintlich weitergeführt werden soll wie bisher. Leider haben wir an diesem Donnerstagabend dort so schlecht gegessen wie noch nie. Bestellt hatten wir Bratwurstring mit Sauerkraut und Bratkartoffeln. Ein Gericht das in diesem Lokal seit Jahren auf der Karte steht. Das Kraut war völlig zerkocht und nur lauwarm. Die Bratwurst war nicht gebraten, sondern von grauer Farbe und nur leicht erwärmt. Vielleicht war beides vom Vortag übrig geblieben und kurz in den Dampfgarer gestellt? Das einzig frische auf dem Teller waren die Bratkartoffel, die allerdings auch nicht aus der Pfanne waren, sondern frittiert. Das Ganze zum stolzen Preis von 24,90 €! Die Bedienung kannten wir von früher und sie war so freundlich wie immer. Da wir in Begleitung waren, wollten wir die Stimmung nicht verderben und haben uns nicht beschwert. Das Essen hätte verdient zurück gegeben zu werden! Aber dass eine solch schlechte Qualität nicht raus gereicht werden darf, weiß der Koch (und jetzige Inhaber?) auf jeden Fall selbst!

Nice brewery with good beer and delicious food.

Unfortunately, my visit to the Brauhaus zum Rammelsberg was anything but pleasant. Right from the start we had to wait an hour and a half for our food, which is just way too long. The atmosphere was also rather uncomfortable, so you didn't really feel comfortable. When the food finally came, the quality was disappointing - nothing special in terms of taste and overall not what you would expect for the price. But the worst part: Six hours later I suddenly felt extremely sick, followed by vomiting and diarrhea. Apparently the food wasn't perfect, so I suspect food poisoning. I would like to emphasize again that this is just a guess and cannot be reliably attributed to the hygienic quality of the food. However, the close connection between food intake and the onset of symptoms was very suspicious. Overall, a very unpleasant stay. Long waiting times, mediocre food and getting sick at the end - unfortunately not a recommendation.

Since the operator changed, the food has simply become bad and even more expensive. A burger patty was tough like rubber, bacon was tough not crispy, burger bun was hard, fries were average at best. In the past, a bottle of ketchup and mayonnaise were placed on the table. None. To charge around €23 for this is beyond outrageous. Staff very friendly and location nice as usual. For me that's it for now, I'll advise against it among my friends until the food is at the same level as before.

Definitely a recommendation in Kassel. The food was very tasty and filling. A really quaint restaurant where you feel comfortable. The portions were very sufficient and the home-brewed beer also tasted delicious. The price/performance ratio is great.

Amazing, exquisite, and there isn't any other restaurant that can top its fine Jägerschnitzel. Especially the sauce. I've tried other Jägersauce like these, and they are nothing compared to this. I was pleased that the brewery on Rammelsberg was open again and was pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, perfect for a relaxed meal or a social gathering. The service was simply first class – attentive, friendly and accommodating. Every wish was read from our lips and we felt completely comfortable. The food was an absolute delight! The food was not only delicious, but also lovingly prepared. You can taste the quality and passion that was put into every dish. An absolute must for anyone who appreciates good food and excellent service. We'll definitely be back!

For the first time since the change of ownership we were back in the “Rammelsberg”. The rustic, yet modern ambience exudes cosiness, while the really delicious food and warm hospitality ensure an all-round successful experience. The owners are extremely accommodating and create a welcoming atmosphere where everyone feels welcome - including four-legged friends!

Simply great! It was very crowded, but we didn't have to wait very long for our food. The employee was incredibly nice. There were problems with the WiFi that evening and no card payment was possible, but we were informed about this early on. We were a group of 7 people and all but one dish were great. After the complaint there was actually another whole schnitzel as compensation. Finally, a schnapps on the house. We'll definitely be back! Thank you for the great and delicious evening.

(We used to be regulars here) Today: Absolutely disappointing - never again! Unfortunately we were very disappointed with our visit. After 25 minutes the service came to take orders only after we made our presence known. The service was very uncoordinated, and other guests also complained while we were there. The food was inedible, a well-done patty was served as “beef” on the grill plate. Overall, very poor quality of food at expensive prices. Unfortunately nothing fits here yet. Just for your information, the statements of the operators in the HNA: “The price-performance ratio is very important to us.” “Eating out is now an expensive affair.” Nothing of what was said before happens here, what a shame! Conclusion: An evening full of disappointments, bad service, bad food! Save yourself time and money and go somewhere else.

Overall package is right! The ambience gives you a nice convivial atmosphere and the delicious food was the crowning glory. Always happy!

Very friendly service, the food was served 15 minutes later after ordering. Two schnitzels and a salad. The schnitzels were very large, which justifies the price. You can also have the food packed later if you can't make it.

The food is always great. Be it schnitzel, ribs or anything from the seasonal additional menu, such as goose or duck - outstanding. If you want to say something that could be improved, it would be the significantly above-average drink prices for Kassel.

A huge place but everything is very dark. Not exactly inviting. My son's sauce (pepper sauce) tasted like dishwashing liquid. And my salmon was lukewarm Service was friendly, but annoying. There were 3 waitresses responsible for us. And they constantly came to the table. I want to eat in peace. I also told them that the food wasn't ok. And very expensive. Portions far too large for kids. We wouldn't go there again to eat.

Nice brewery atmosphere, unfortunately with a somewhat harsh owner and food that was really not tasty.

Food and ambience as usual in the brewery and very good. There is reason to complain about the prices for Prinz's fruit brandies. 5.50€!! A liter bottle of the really good fruit schnapps costs around €32. Makes 50 schnapps at €5.5 from one bottle = €275! That's what I call a huge profit margin! Why are they doing this? The price of a beer is also outrageously expensive. 0.5 Hutt naturally cloudy €6.5. Just for comparison. At the Augustiner in Munich, a pint of beer costs €8.4. In Kassel in Uhlenspiegel you can get a 0.5l beer for half the price.

Not recommended for eating goose. Breast Tough and no crispy skin. It looks better than it was. Sauce also didn't have a typical goose taste. Too bad. The lamb's lettuce at the front was great.

The “Wild Burger” was very tasty.

Salads that fill you up. That's what it says on the menu. And they fill you up too. For an impressive €23.90. Knuckle (purchase price is around €4/kg), preparation plus side dishes for an almost outrageous €28.90. Even if it was tasty, these prices are just as unjustified as for many other foods and drinks. A glass of wine of “normal” quality €8, a 0.3 Hütt Luxus/Natur cloudy for €4.20 (despite the name Brauhaus, they don't make their own beer here). We should have found out about the extortionate price shop in advance. Our visit was the first and remains the last.

Very rude, hostess did not even agree to talk to us, just nodded her head. Never coming back, should be ashamed of themselves.

A very quaint restaurant, a little more expensive, but really big portions and delicious. BUT: When the restaurant was full, the waitresses were very overwhelmed AND there was a very unfriendly, female waitress who called our children (1 and 3 years old) annoying just because the little one screamed 2-3 times. They are not at any other table and have not hindered the waiter's movements. We then wanted to pay the bill and leave the restaurant straight away, but then we had to wait half an hour for the bill. Will definitely not recommend this brewery for children. It's a shame, because it's a brewery and not a high-class restaurant, where I would find or expect a quieter atmosphere and a reference to this would have been more understandable...

We took a short trip to Kassel and spontaneously decided on the brewery 🥳. We are from Bavaria and come from a brewery area with delicious taverns🤪. The decor was really cozy and quaint. We had goulash soup and baked potatoes with turkey strips, vegetables and salad. Both were super tasty and decently sized too. The goulash soup was also more goulash with a lot of meat. We also drank the house brewed beer 0.5 L. The beer was great. Ok... here we are used to tapping using a calibration mark. That wasn't the case here. There were max 400ml in it🤔. This can happen in the heat of the moment. We brought it up politely on the second beer order. It was accepted and we were offered a special deal on the second round of beer. That was really commendable and made us very happy. We definitely had a nice evening with delicious food and drinks.

A quaint brewery. Even though we hadn't made a reservation, we were given a very friendly welcome. The service staff is funny and competent, despite the extremely high workload. My respect! I would love to come back if I visit Kassel again ❤️

Very tasty food, because it is a bit smaller and cozy, it can be a bit noisy at peak times, otherwise a very nice restaurant.

We sat in the beer garden. This is located at the rear and there are also parking spaces available there. This is important because there is not often anything free on the road ahead. The food is great. You can hardly manage the schnitzel, you should be incredibly hungry. Everything is real here. The brewery offers delicious, specially brewed beer. A season ticket is also available. You should definitely reserve in advance.

Despite a confirmed reservation (!) we were rejected in a completely unfriendly manner with a group of 25 people; There were no more tables/capacities available... Fortunately, the friendly Greek restaurant opposite was able to accommodate us spontaneously and our customer/contractor relationships did not suffer. However, the service in the restaurant is extremely unprofessional and completely unjustifiably unfriendly. Mistakes happen and a solution can usually be found for everything, but such a bland reaction cannot meet the restaurant's standards.

Service was okay. Service was friendly, but drinks were forgotten. The food was unseasoned and partly cold. The room temperature was very fresh. We're definitely not going there anymore.

Here we were lucky that there was still a table available, obviously everything is pre-booked for dinner on the weekend, we were there on Saturday. Food very tasty and plentiful at a reasonable price. The volume in the restaurant was already increased because it was filling up quickly. Burgers were served at the next table and they looked absolutely delicious. Our food was also absolutely delicious, just stop by and enjoy for yourself. Especially your own beer 🍻 is a must. I can't say whether there is free parking, we parked on the street. All in all, a clear recommendation.

It's difficult to rate a place where you're turned away at the door. As we were passing through we wanted to stop for a quick drink. Despite a large number of empty tables and the information that you just wanted something to drink, you were turned away. All tables are reserved and “at peak times some guests arrive 20 minutes earlier”. You could call this bad service, but I would only sum it up in one word: disappointment.

Nice location, but with a few drawbacks! We asked politely whether we could get a table that was better for us than the one assigned. Whereupon the (probably) boss came to the table and denied it quite harshly. The waitresses (probably too few) gave you the feeling that you were more tolerated. Fake friendliness where no well-being could arise. The food, but especially the drinks, are very expensive. The quality of the food was good, the portion was decent.

The American finger food was gigantic. Both in terms of taste and portion. :) The ambience is reminiscent of the time of the old brewery. Gladly again!

Wir hatten uns das Lokal im Vorfeld hier TripAd rausgesucht. Es war zu Fuß etwas schwer zu finden. Als rustikaleres Brauhaus hatte es eine schöne Auswahl regionaler Biere im Angebot. Das Essen war gutbürgerlich und sehr solides Wir hatten Kartoffelsuppe, Schnitzel, Bratwurst mit Sauerkraut. Alles gut und solide. Personal überaus nett und aufmerksam. Eigentlich eher so 4,5 von 5 Punkten. Darum hier hochgerundet glatte 5 Punkte.

Essen war lecker. Preisleistung stimmt nicht. Punktabzug da Essenbestellungen nicht angepasst werden können. Angebliche BBQ Soße war normaler Ketchup. Auf Nachfrage wurde hier mit Gewürzen korrigiert. Ergebnis war annehmbar. Kellnerin (vermutlich Chefin) war weder freundlich noch unfreundlich, vermittelte den Eindruck aber lästig zu sein. 2 andere anwesende Kellner waren dafür sehr freundlich und herzlich. Also Pech gehabt…

If the menu says beef medallion, then I expect a beef medallion and not half a roast beef that also consisted of 1/3 fat. The corresponding complaint was answered with "You got beef, what's wrong?" answered. Unfortunately, the fact that the menu says "Medallion" was impossible to convey to the waitress due to a lack of language skills. Well, I don't want to know who was in the kitchen. And that simply shouldn't be the case given the prices. Oh, and fittingly, we sat in front of empty glasses for most of our meal. But the beer garden is really pretty. I think that as long as you are undemanding when it comes to eating and are happy with a schnitzel, you will definitely be full. Next time I'll go eat somewhere else and only come to drink beer. Then it will definitely be a nice evening.

The best Jägerschnitzel I have eaten in Germany. The place is excellent and the service is very good.

Food great, service flop. The food was great as always, but unfortunately THE one service wasn't there this time. So it's better not to ask whether you can still get your drink. A lot of stupid comments were made behind the counter... you just asked politely and in the end you didn't want to give the 10% tip because it was just a bit of a surprise for us too that it was now mandatory then it's completely over... So we won't be coming back anytime soon...

I was extremely disappointed! Had the “oven-fresh roast pork”. It was horribly dry! It felt like it had already been warmed up several times. According to the menu there should have been bread dumplings with it. Without comment and without pointing this out beforehand, there were fried potatoes instead. That's what I call bad service! The price-performance ratio is outrageous! Felt like I was in a tourist trap. If you want to eat good German food at a fair price, there are much better places in Kassel! In any case, you won't see me there again!

I ordered the baked potato with double matjes. The baked potato with the sauce and the salad was very tasty. Unfortunately there were only very few small pieces of herring. There were never two herrings and not even a whole herring. When I wanted to pay by card, I had to come to the counter. The waitress told me the price and I gave her my card. She then asked me promptly and literally whether she should deduct the tip directly from the card or whether I would pay it separately in cash 🙁🤔. My colleagues who wanted to pay in cash had to wait almost half an hour because other tables kept being moved forward.

I had dinner at the brewery yesterday and I'm unfortunately disappointed with the service provided. The schnitzel was not or only slightly plated, so it was very thick and therefore dry and tough. The fried potatoes were very greasy and tasted old. In this price segment I expect a different quality of products.

Beer was delicious. Unfortunately there wasn't a single vegan option when it came to food. I then ordered the Greek salad without feta. It tasted good, but at least a real vegan dish would be very desirable.

My personal opinion is that service is okay, the food is semi-good to... I didn't like the "fried potatoes" at all.

Service was ok, but nothing special. The food, Jägerschnitzel, was, to say the least, maximum snack level, the meat was of poor quality, the sauce was a cheaply mixed bag of sauce. Unfortunately the fries are also rather simple and not of the best quality, there is hardly any flavor in terms of spices and if they are not used or hardly used....... All in all, you can really expect more for the price of €23.99... Any fast food can be better. Overall, a sad restaurant with absolutely exorbitant prices given the quality. 😪 I was definitely there for the last time.
