Hallenser Kartoffelhaus in Halle (Saale)

With the change of ownership in 2023, the restaurant has definitely won. The menu is varied and creative, the service was super friendly and accommodating, the food was very tasty and the wine on offer was also great. We'll definitely be back! Many many thanks. :-)

We had long pre-ordered for 10 people. It took the first 35 minutes to place a drink order. Then it was time to wait. After another 30 minutes the drinks came. The restaurant was full of guests at the time and a waiter was bustling from table to table. After 1.5 hours the young man came to take our food order. Again it was time to wait. After 1 hour 10 minutes the food came. Of the 10 meals, 2 were completely returned because they were not edible. The rest went like this...meat lukewarm, fried potatoes not fried, vegetables burnt. We really have to praise the young man who took the orders. He was really stressed and still stayed cool and had kind words for everyone. I have no idea whether the sickness rate is too high or there is simply a lack of staff, that's not how restaurants work.

The food here is highly recommended, not a long wait and very friendly service (here the boss also serves himself). When it comes to starters, the breaded champions with garlic dip are absolutely great. The ambience is also appropriate. We would love to come back here.

The service took a long time, the food was lukewarm, the portions were okay, the ambience was okay and nothing special. There was no attempt to respond to the customer and the waitress only cleared half of it and after 20 minutes we went to the front ourselves because no waitress came to finish clearing away.

We had previously ordered a table for 12 people for a class reunion. Unfortunately only 6 people came, the rest canceled at short notice due to illness. There were no questions from the staff or that we should have let them know in advance. Food was great. Just a little mishap. Staff friendly, always had a kind word. Asked if everything was okay - without it being too intrusive. To our credit, we were able to stay seated until 12:00 a.m. and still order, even though it would have finished at 10:30 p.m. Thank you very much for the evening and good luck and fun.

Were there with 7 people. Reservation worked, but we sat at a very shaky table. The staff was extremely overwhelmed, apparently all of them were temporary workers. Every course makes you slim seems to be the motto. Everything is brought individually, the quality of the food was not worthy of a restaurant. Zero seasoning, the rump steak was fried to death even though it was ordered medium, the deep fryer urgently needs new oil because the fried mushrooms had the corresponding aftertaste. The Radler apparently used 90% beer and 10% Sprite, tasted zero. After we had finished eating, we sat in front of the plates for ages, even when I paid the bill, the plates weren't cleared away but my empty glass was... no question from the staff as to whether everything was OK or anything like that. Unfortunately very disappointing!

We were there on Saturday at the best time. 8 adults and 2 children. Let's start with the fact that 1 meal was completely forgotten - pork medallions with croquettes and mushrooms: the meat inside was raw, a complaint was made, the same plate / portion came back, meat was still not cooked through. During this time the mushrooms on the plate have become cold. We continued with, vegetarian fish 🤦‍♂️ Redfish with mashed potatoes and broccoli was ordered. It has to be said, the FISH was forgotten. When asked “Where is the fish”, the plate was returned and the fish still had to be fried. How can you forget the main ingredient in a meal? What can we say, the same plate/portion came back, plate was hot, thank you for not letting us know, but broccoli had gotten cold. Luckily we ordered large drinks, otherwise we would have died of thirst here too. The waitress has to come and ask/look more often. Would have liked to drink more and order dessert. I would be very grateful for feedback from the owner on the subject of food, there was no feedback on this in the evening. No further visits are necessary.

Service has no interest in coming to the tables. Food was very bad as well as the 3 little pigs were more than dead and very dry. Creamed mushrooms unfortunately they were also very bad like the rest

Unfortunately not worth a second visit for us. The first thing we were told was that 2 main courses and 2 desserts were sold out. Normally not a problem. But it was Saturday 4:30 p.m. In addition, there were only 3 desserts on the menu. The men enjoyed the farmer's breakfast. Our baked potatoes were very small for the price and the quark that came with them was very economical. Very disappointing for just under 13 euros. The atmosphere wasn't comfortable either The staff was very nice. But all in all, no comparison to the potato house in Wittenberg.

Today for our birthday we went to the potato house. We ordered three schnitzels with fried potatoes and potato wedges. Unfortunately the potatoes in all dishes were raw. After complaining, the potatoes were fried, but were still not cooked. In addition, the schnitzels on the corresponding plates were not only not re-prepared, but also swapped. Even though the drinks were consumed, we had to pay for them and then left the restaurant. It's a shame that even the drinks were charged

For the first time at the new opening I was positively surprised and I was really happy that it was now friendlier and more open and seemed to be great for eating. It was very good, only a touch too much salt. Otherwise it was very good for the conditions. I wished that someone would check on us more often and also takes the empty glasses with me, but otherwise it's okay. I'm curious to see whether it can improve further

The food itself was delicious and the service was very friendly and accommodating. However, in my opinion it is not appropriate to serve two fried eggs as a replacement for the mushrooms and to charge extra for them. A better solution could certainly have been found here, or it could have been pointed out that the schnitzel without mushrooms but with a fried egg would be a thirty euro item. Despite the size, more than inappropriate. We weren't aware of the pricing policy, but unfortunately we ran quite aground.

Food and service was really good. Only the waiter is very unkempt and you get the feeling that he works in prison. He has a key hanging on his belt that rattles all day long and makes eating there very unbearable because it's really annoying. There is a need for action.

The fried potatoes were everything from half raw to burnt, and they were only slightly warm and tasted extremely boring. You could let something like that pass at a snack bar, but not at a "potato house" with such steep prices. To be honest, I expect more for a few potatoes. Unfortunately we were VERY negatively surprised by the service, there was no smile, no hello, no goodbye; The staff were arguing loudly in the kitchen... We've really never experienced anything like that! In August, when it was 30 degrees, there was no sign of being “fully air-conditioned” (as stated on the shop door). There was no air here at all, let alone pleasant temperatures. The ambience seems inviting, but at second glance it is unfortunately not fully implemented in the store; the walls in particular seemed cool and did not match the rest of the furnishings. I'm reluctant - but justified - to give a bad rating here. It's a real shame, as the south of Halle in particular only offers limited options for going out and there is wasted potential here.

Ambience was great, but that was it. Food was damn cheap for the price. The staff wasn't exactly friendly, after the main course was served, the staff only came an hour later to ask if there was anything else for the dessert. Children's fries tasted like old chip fat and the crème brulee tasted like the refrigerator. Too bad.

Unfortunately very disappointed... the ambience gave us a lot to expect, unfortunately the air in the restaurant was stagnant... No fans or air conditioning available. ... The service was okay.... The tables are much too small for two people.... So small that the lit candle had no room on the table.... The grill plate was totally overloaded.. .. The chicken was too dry, the steak was very tough, and unfortunately everything was pretty unseasoned. In the second dish, the red cabbage was very, very sour, the goulash meat was also very tough... It's a shame... And expensive too

I had redfish with mashed potatoes and broccoli. Unfortunately, the entire dish lacked seasoning.

We ordered via Lieferando and the food came quite promptly. However, it was absolutely not okay for the price. The steak was completely fried to death, the chicken was quite dry, the fried potatoes were a mixture of raw and burnt but the schnitzel was quite tasty. And charging 62 euros for two dishes is quite steep. We won't order here again.

It says air-conditioned on the door, but that wasn't the case, the food was delicious - we had ordered several starters - the service was strange, even before we got the menu, various dishes were listed to us that weren't available for various reasons weren't even on the menu - otherwise the restaurant was completely empty except for two other tables, but we were seated at a mini table from which we had to take the decorations down so that there was room for the plates

Positive things first: The food was tasty and the staff was OK. The ambience needs improvement. It seems cold and unfinished. It needs to be renovated. We didn't really feel comfortable. The apple spritzer was watery and way too cold. There were a lot of ice cubes in there that were probably supposed to fill the glass. I also found the prices too expensive. We won't come back.

Simply add old cooked peas to the new ones, not salted. Potatoes raw inside. For over €20 the plate is not appropriate. There is room for improvement and I can only agree with some of the reviews here.

We were there for dinner. Friendly but inexperienced staff. For example, our bottle of wine was not opened, and the bottle of water we ordered was also left unopened. There was an asparagus menu, which we were very happy about. The taste of the food was OK. .... but it didn't really grab us. Pretty bland in taste, lacking love and spice. The plate was also not very lovingly prepared. The wine was tasty, I would also like to mention that.

We were traveling by bike from the Saale district and decided to dine at the Halle Potato House. The restaurant is beautifully and rustically furnished. We were greeted and served by a friendly and polite waiter. We were served our chosen dish quite quickly. This was also very tasty and sufficient. We were able to enjoy our meal in a quiet, pleasant atmosphere. After this visit, we can definitely recommend the Halle Potato House. We will also come back.

It no longer had anything to do with the old potato house. The service leaves a lot to be desired, as does the ambience, as five people were allowed to squeeze into a table of four, even though over half of the restaurant was unoccupied. Unfortunately, the food had no special characteristics, and I found the famous fly in the ointment in my mushrooms. For people who like neutrality in their food, this is the first stop in Halle. If various meals are not available on a Saturday, it is more than annoying. Unfortunately, a “nightcap” doesn’t help either. Never again.

Dear team from the Halle Potato House, We have often eaten at the Halle Potato House, but today we were unfortunately disappointed. When ordering the drinks, we were told that several dishes were no longer available, such as dumplings, salmon, rump steak and others. We would have expected more from the food we ordered for the high price. The fried potatoes were swimming in fat and the fries were also very greasy. Unfortunately, the second beer was only brought after the second request. Unfortunately we had to wait over half an hour for dessert and then we were informed that the cream was out and that the microwave was no longer suitable for the chocolate cake. Unfortunately, today was very disappointing and on the 12th wedding anniversary.

At €7.90 for a portion of fries, I would have expected that these were homemade. The potato bread was already a few days old, so toasting it no longer helped. A bit disappointing.

I remember it from before and have to say that I'm a bit disappointed. The menu (at least the one we had) doesn't allow for much choice and the prices are, let's say, a bit steep for what's served. I used to prefer being here.

I ordered the Hallunkenschnitzel (XXL) from UberEats. Since I took advantage of a 2 for 1 offer, the price was okay for me. Without this special offer I would have paid €51.90, which would not be justified in any way. In my opinion, €15 for a portion should be the maximum price for this dish. In my comments I pointed out that the mushrooms can be left out as I really don't like eating them (shame on my head). Unfortunately, they were still there and I'm a little annoyed about the food waste. But enough complaining now. The food came quickly, was the perfect temperature and was incredibly tasty. Since I assume that my comments were overlooked, that I just paid this price and can't rate things that are only hypothetical, I'm giving it a full 5 stars. But above all because the operator really seems to be making an effort by commenting on all the reviews and also taking on board the criticism. Keep it up! :)

Went to the restaurant for dinner with my daughter. Had a very nice evening with good food. The waiter was very attentive and accommodating. The portions were very large and tasted good. I had (as you can see in the picture) the schnitzel potato house with potato coating, beans and fried potatoes. Highly recommended!

We had a larger group of 25 people here. Apparently the service wasn't prepared for that. The drinks came way too fun and unsorted. The food was definitely not worth the price (potatoes were several days old, fish was burnt, sauces were very sachet-heavy). The toilets were dirty and there was no paper. Our table was no longer served after 9 p.m. because they apparently wanted to get off work on time. For us, the last time we were here

A great restaurant with very good food and very friendly service. We ordered a buffet for the youth consecration and were completely satisfied. In addition, we were able to easily take the remaining food home with us. Gladly again at any time!

One star is one too many here! You cannot offer the food to a guest. Half of it is frozen or canned. Calling up these prices for that is a bit cheeky. The waitress can't get it out of there! After a year, the owner has an epiphany and is of the opinion that this review violates his personal rights!? He has to get rid of this epiphany in a complaint to Google. Simply ridiculous and once again proof of how negative reviews are handled here No response to negative review! Zero understanding! And all negative reviews reflect the average! So nothing will change. And if the negative reviews increase, then I should work on my concept and fix the errors that were raised. But no, it's easier to remain below average and instead complain to Google and try to use your personal rights, which are supposedly violated, to get rid of the negative reviews. Just poor and just below average!

We have been there again for 2 years, ordered the scoundrel schnitzel twice according to the XXL menu (yes it used to be) fried potato portion was very clear back then and they only saw the pan for a short oil bath, there was no service from clearing things up to refilling drinks !! It's a shame, it's much better!!

Two years ago we had the pleasure of eating at the potato house. Back then, the Halunkenschnitzel (XXL), as it says on the menu, was really XXL. Today it was rather medium, the Champion cream sauce back then was rather bland and straight out of a bucket. Fried potatoes are called fried potatoes because they are supposed to be fried. These were just near a frying pan and so soaked in oil that they were just greasy. Very very disappointing for the price. Never again.

Had dinner on Easter Monday and I have to say we all enjoyed it. Kudos to the kitchen and the staff, well the equipment can be improved.

Today I said for the first time that I didn't like it. I'm very disappointed with the food there. I had a farmer's breakfast: not seasoned, the potatoes were still very firm and the egg was still slimy and for almost €18 the portion was really very manageable. The side salad leaf was larger than the dish itself. They didn't even really address the fact that it wasn't tasty. It's a shame 🤷🏼‍♀️ Unfortunately for me that won't be an option again! Addendum to the operator's answer: The waitress didn't respond to my statement at all, except that she would say it in the kitchen and then she quickly disappeared. After that there was no more service and when I read through the reviews some guests felt the same way as we did today and apparently nothing has changed...

Had dinner on Easter Monday evening. Takes a bit of getting used to after renovation and conversion. Everything looks very sterile and empty. Service Manager Disaster. After waiting for 30 minutes, the service noticed that we hadn't ordered any drinks or food. The food itself was great. But the price increase is also juicy.

Good food, service and ambience average. Response to the operator's reaction Sometimes people have different perceptions and impressions of service and ambience. That's also completely normal. And I don't have to discuss it. An overall rating of 3 stars is not a bad rating and as an operator you should be able to live with it. You shouldn't always just expect a top rating, that wouldn't be credible. My rating is fair and that should be enough.

So I was here with a colleague. The ambience is quite okay. It's just a chain, so you don't expect anything special. It's never comfortable anyway. I don't think it's 100% value for money and the roast lamb wasn't a hit. Tasted kind of warmed up and dry. I tested it and good...

A new operator for 6 months, all I can say is keep it up. We were thrilled.

Today we were at the potato house for the first time since it reopened and we were pleasantly surprised. The food was super tasty and fresh, the portions were more than sufficient. The staff very nice and accommodating. Drinks and food came quickly, without a long wait. Everything very clean. We cannot understand the negative reviews, but we will recommend the potato house. It was definitely not our last visit here.

Unfortunately the menu has shrunk considerably. There wasn't much choice, especially not potato dishes - I missed the casseroles. The food was quite okay, unfortunately the schnitzel au four was in the deep fryer for too long, it was far too crispy and was hard to bite into. The vegetables that came with it were just warmed up, without sauce and still far too firm to the bite. It was very crowded, the tables were far too narrow. It's a shame, I knew that much better from last year.

The two of us were at the Halle Potato House again after many years. Unfortunately that went wrong. I remember potato houses differently. Rustic, with a lot of wood, agricultural equipment as decoration, etc. But we didn't like this bright (white) impression. Maybe it's also a matter of taste. But now to the main thing, the food. My wife chose the “spicy vegetable pan” and there was also a special spicy sauce behind it! No trace of spicy, on the contrary, somehow without any taste. The potato and vegetable pieces were cut way too big. The eggplant pieces with inedible hard shell. I also tried them and spat them out because they were inedible. I had the gnocchi pan and let me put it this way, I was able to eat it because I was hungry. In any case, we were very disappointed. The polite and quick service couldn't change that. When we had expressed our opinion when paying, we were offered an espresso on the house, but we were served and left. The boss should try the food himself; he would have thrown in the towel with the vegetable stir-fry. A pity.

Disappointing. Starter of potato soup with potato bread (it was 2 thin slices of dry normal baguette), my schnitzel with spiced meat (from a can with goo). At least the schnitzel was freshly fried. The change in the side dish from peas to beans was reflected on the bill with an extra €1 extra for changing the side dish (it probably said on the menu, "Should I get the menu again?"). Pack food for another €1 extra in a cardboard box without a bag. Can be worn wonderfully in sub-zero temperatures :( Sambucca was only tried to light after asking and astonished looks, which unfortunately wasn't successful. Reordering drinks was not possible. 3 waiters for 4 occupied tables and still empty glasses. Apparently only certain tables are allocated. This can be seen the burnt out candles. Everything else was brand new. Service tried to be nice, but it was our last visit. Things won't last like this for long...probably. Before the change of ownership it was still OK.

We have been to the potato house many times. It was always cozy and delicious. Unfortunately, that is a thing of the past. Unfortunately, after the change of ownership, only the name and a waiter remained. The food was very subdued (it was on the table very quickly!) and the service had something of a sportsman's bar feel to it. We were served primarily by two very young teenagers who were certainly not trainees. Is this intended to counteract the staff shortage? It was very strange for us. The toilets were dirty and broken. We were finished after an hour, but somehow we weren't happy. Unfortunately, a Halle tradition has become a restaurant that we won't visit again. A pity! Unfortunately no more recommendation...

We haven't eaten so badly in a long time. The Schnitzel Au Four was with a flour paste, the fries were almost raw. My fish, supposedly redfish, came in pieces with disgusting breading, totally over salted and the hot sauce was ketchup. According to our criticism, nothing was offered and we had to pay full price, which of course wasn't cheap. The staff is very nice but the clothing is not appropriate for a restaurant.

Pro: Furnishings cozy, meat on point. Cons: Hair on the tablecloth, the wrong beer was brought, fried potatoes were too weak. Conclusion: There is room for improvement, especially when it comes to the “surroundings”. In the culinary area it was okay, but not outstanding.

Wir waren jetzt zum zweiten Mal zu Weihnachten dort essen, es war wie erwartet eine runde Sache, Essen, Bedienung und Ambiente sehr gut. Wir haben gleich für 2024 reserviert.

Familientreffen zum Geburtstag am 13. Januar Nach gründlicher, sehr freundlicher Absprache und leckeren Vorschlägen zwecks Kuchen Bestellung ..hatte ich einen sehr schönen Tag mit gutem Essen und späteren "Kaffee trinken". Der Service war sehr gut. Die Preis-Leistung war für mich OK.

Leider ziemlich unbefriedigend. Früher war ich gern hier. Mein bester Freund und ich haben uns immer auf das XXL Hallunkenschnitzel gefreut. Dieses Gericht machte für uns das Kartoffelhaus aus. Die Bedienung und das Ambiente war bisher auch immer gut. Diese Aussagen galten bis letzten Sonntag. Leider wurden wir echt enttäuscht. Meine Frau bestellte Schweinemedaillons und ich das Hallunkenschnitzel XXL. Erstens: Das Hallunkenschnitzel war weder XXL, noch war zwischen der Pannade groß Fleisch zu sehen. Das Schnitzel war nicht größer als ein Normales bei allen anderen Gästen. Da fühlte ich mich echt vera*****. Die Pilze, die dazu waren, waren weder gewürzt, noch haben sie überhaupt nach etwas geschmeckt. Die Bratkartoffelbeilage war gut. Der Salat dazu (der auf dem Teller meiner Frau ebenso) war lieblos auf den Teller gelegt (nur 1 Blatt Salat, 2 Stück Gurke und Tomate), ohne jegliches Dressing o.ä.. Sehr ideenlos. Die Schweinemedaillons meiner Frau waren stinknormale 5-Minuten-Steaks. Medaillons waren es definitiv nicht. Obendrein war das Fleisch sehr trocken. Sehr ärgerlich. Als der Kellner kam und fragte, ob alles gut war, habe ich ihm diese Missstände aufgezählt. Er war perplex und meinte, dass er es weiterreichen würde. Danach war er hinter seinem Tresen verschwunden. Es waren zu dem Zeitpunkt vielleicht im Höchstfall 5-6 Tische besetzt (nicht viel für 3 Bedienungen). Neben ihm standen noch 2 weitere Bedienkräfte. 3 Mitarbeiter waren nicht im Stand, zu uns zu kommen und die Rechnung zu bringen. Wir haben uns also angezogen und sind zum Tresen, um zu bezahlen. Es kam, trotz der ganzen Aufzählung an Missständen, zu keinem Entgegenkommen oder dem nochmaligen Aufgreifen dieses Problems, keine Entschuldigung oder Sonstiges. Sehr schade, dass man als Gast nicht wertgeschätzt wird. Ein klitzekleines Entgegenkommen hätte vielleicht dazu animiert, nochmal wiederzukommen. Für den selben Preis bekomme ich woanders noch eine Vorspeise dazu. Leider stimmt das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis nicht mehr. Ich bin bereit, auch einen angemessenen Preis für Essen und Service zu zahlen, jedoch muss dafür auch der Service und das Essen stimmen. Trinkgeld konnte ich hierfür leiderauch nicht zahlen (ich zahle sonst immer gutes Trinkgeld). Wollte dem Laden nicht noch mehr Geld als so schon, in den Rachen werfen. Zu guter Letzt: Leider ist das Ambiente nach dem Umbau nicht mehr ansprechend. Vorher hatte es durch die dunklen Elemente einen sehr angenehmen Wohlfühlcharakter. Durch die weißen Wände wirkt alles so kahl, kalt und absolut nicht einladend. Andere Gäste, die es nicht anders kennen, werden es anders sehen. Ichwünsche mir das alte Kartoffelhaus mit einem guten Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis, gutem Service, gemütlichem Ambiente und leckerem Essen zurück. Sehr schade, was hieraus geworden ist. Von meiner Seite: Nicht mehr empfehlenswert.

Von der Platzreservierung bis zum bezahlen nach dem Essen inklusive leckerem Essen war alles bestens. Trotz gut besuchter Gaststätte waren auch die Wartezeiten kundenfreundlich.

Sehr freundliche Bedienung. Nettes Ambiente. Leichter Mangel an Parkmöglichkeiten.

Verwechselte Speise beim Gulasch keine Soße das Essen war diesmal nicht das was ich sonst gewohnt bin

Wir waren im Rahmen eines Geburtstags dort Mittag essen. An sich war es recht schön, auch wenn es etwas dunkel in den Räumen war. Ich selber hatte das Hallunkenschnitzel was gut geschmeckt hat, auch wenn sich die Panade komplett abgelöst hatte was die Optik kaputt gemacht hat. Meine Partnerin hatte den saisonalen Wildschweinbraten der leider etwas klein ausgefallen ist. Ich rede hier nicht von der Menge des Fleisches, sondern von den Beilagen. Insgesamt war es verhältnismäßig viel weniger als mein Gericht trotz des höheren Preises. Da wir dort schon mehrmals waren und es mir bei den anderen Besuchen besser gefallen hat, gebe ich 4 Sterne.

Entgegen vieler Meinungen finde ich, dass das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis in Ordnung ist. Die Preise sind den Umständen entsprechend angesetzt und völlig nachvollziehbar, die Portionen sind ebenso völlig im Rahmen. Zudem wird sehr zuvorkommend gehandelt, was ich sehr begrüße. Das Essen sowie die Auswahl ist schlicht, jedoch in dem was es sein soll gut umgesetzt sowie liebevoll angerichtet. Ich würde jederzeit wiederkommen und kann jedem einen Besuch ans Herz legen. Wer jedoch versucht für einen halben Taler einen guten Deal zu machen, empfehle ich allerdings eher woanders sein Glück zu versuchen, da dies hier korrekterweise nicht der Anspruch ist.

Wir haben uns in diesem Jahr Weihnachten für das Kartoffelhaus entschieden...bedanken kann man sich höchstens für das freundliche Personal.... Essen in. Preis /Leistung ein Desaster.. Es hat uns gründlich die Freude verdorben....Qualität 3 Sterne und den Rest hat der völlig überhöhte Preis erledigt..Auch Dekoration und die liebliose Speisekarte überzeugt uns nicht. . Tut uns leid aber keine Wiederholungsgefahr.. Danke an das sehr freundliche Personal....

Wir waren zu weihnachten 🎄 hier essen ...Leider ein totaler Reinfall, für die Portionen total überteuert...Geschmacklich hat es uns auch nicht umgehauen ,wie schonmal hier geschrieben da wird in einer garten Kneipe besser gekocht kann man nur bestätigen.service top freundlich und auf zack

Service über dem Durchschnitt sehr freundlich, aufmerksam und zuvorkommend. Zwei junge Männer, vermutlich Aushilfskräfte, Studenten etc. Haben sie wirklich toll gemacht. Ambiente schlicht aber okay. Essen leider ziemlich überteuert für die Menge und Vorallem die Qualität. Schwein sehr trocken, insgesamt unzureichend gewürzt. Da das Essen am Ende entscheidend ist, leider nur 2 Sterne gesamt auch wenn der Service echt gut war (23.12.23) und damit keine Wiederholungsgefahr.

Auch wenn die Mehrwertsteuer wieder auf 19%steigt, kommen wir wieder! Haltet durch!

Wir wollten auch nach dem Eigentümerwechsel der Gaststätte treu bleiben, leider hat es uns nicht so gut gefallen. Besteck klebte an der Tischplatte und das Essen war auch nicht mehr wie erwartet.

Kellnerin hatte wohl nicht den besten Tag erwischt. Speisen sehr lecker und das Ambiente schön rustikal.

Sehr freundlicher aufmerksamer Service, Köstliche Speisen. Die Symbiose aus gemütlichen und hellem und rustkalen Ambiente ist sehr gut gelungen und lädt zum entspannten Verweilen ein.

Nach der gelungenen Wiedereröffnung durch Robert Müller und Golo Todorov waren wir gestern mit 5 Personen, 1 Rollstuhlfahrerin, wieder im Kartoffelhaus. Trotz neuem Anstrich hat es seinen Charme und Gemütlichkeit nicht verloren. Das Essen war super! Große Portionen und lecker. Der Service aufmerksam und freundlich. Preis-Leistungsverhältnis absolut angemessen. Das Restaurant war sehr gut besucht und das mitten in der Woche. Wir kommen beim nächsten Besuch in Halle auf jeden Fall wieder! Wir wünschen Herrn Müller und Herrn Todorov weiterhin ein gutes Gelingen und bedanken uns für einen sehr schönen Abend!

Essen war wirklich in Ordnung das war’s aber auch schon. Wir wurden zu sechst in eine enge Ecke gesetzt, ich hab meine Beine nicht unter den Tisch bekommen und wir hatten bestellt. Fast eine halbe Stunde bis wir das bestellte Trinken bekamen und vollständig war es dann auch nicht, Essen kam aber relativ zügig. Ansonsten hat die Lokalität meiner Meinung nach komplett ihren Charme verloren. Von „urig gemütlich“ keine Spur mehr. Am Ende hatten wir noch 3 Getränke auf der Rechnung die wir nie hatten. Sehr schade ich hatte mich sehr auf den Besuch gefreut. Einfach so viele Sachen die allein genommen kein Problem sind, aber alles zusammen war der Besuch leider ein Fehler. Wir werden auf jeden Fall nicht wieder kommen.

Der Glühwein viel zu heiß, das Essen kaum gewürzt und letztendlich war auch noch der Ramazotti alle ! Früher war das Lokal schön geschmückt mit alten Dingen. Es fehlt leider! Schade !

Definitiv eine Empfehlung wert. Was vorn und hinten nicht gestimmt hat, war der Service. Wir saßen sicher 20 Minuten, ehe wir eine Karte bekamen, nochmal 10, ehe unsere Getränke kamen und insgesamt anderthalb Stunden, bis unsere Hauptspeisen auf dem Tisch standen. Wir hatten lange nach unserem Nachbartisch bestellt und trotzdem gut 30 Minuten vor Ihnen die Getränke erhalten. Zeit, Getränke zuzubereiten war aus meiner Sicht genug, denn so manches Mal standen die Kellner hinter dem Tresen. Die Vorspeisen; Soljanka, nicht überragend, aber in Ordnung, das Kartoffel-Carpaccio war widerlich. Wir hatten es uns echt anders vorgestellt, aber rohe Kartoffeln, ohne Dip oder Fleisch, gar nicht zu empfehlen. Unsere Hauptspeisen dagegen waren super, gute Portionen, leckere Pommes, saftige Schnitzel, aber der Service hat das Besteck fallen lassen und es fehlte dann ein Messer. Einmal sollte man dort auf jeden Fall hingehen, nochmal werden wir uns gut überlegen müssen.. Schade, denn es ist dort sehr gemütlich, bis auf die Stühle, dort fehlte mir das eine oder andere Kissen.
