Restaurant Schnitzelwirtin in Halle (Saale)

We came here on a recommendation and were immediately met with an unfriendly welcome. We were shown to our table quickly. The second server was quick to hand out menus, but without a greeting. Drinks and food arrived in a reasonable amount of time. The food was delicious. An iced chocolate we ordered during the second round was slammed onto our table without a word. So, what can I say? I wouldn't eat here again. Good service should be the top priority. What a shame...

Until recently, it was my absolute favorite restaurant in Halle, which I recommended to all my friends and went with many of them. I spontaneously wanted to go there with a friend to celebrate my birthday. We drove all the way from Leipzig for it. We were turned away at around 8:30 PM because the kitchen was closing early today due to the heat. The kitchen normally closes at 9:00 PM, and I wouldn't have complained if it had been 10 minutes earlier, or if we had shown up with eight other people. But there were !two! of us who knew right away what we wanted and so on. I understand that it was very warm that day, but closing half an hour earlier and then rudely telling us we should have called is ABSOLUTELY NOT OK! This has been my favorite restaurant for a long time, which is a real shame.

A large selection of schnitzel dishes, and even the little ones are catered for. We got a table without a reservation. Although the restaurant was already very busy, there weren't long waits. The service was very friendly. Highly recommended for both taste and value.

A truly large selection of schnitzel variations with flexibility for special requests such as other side dishes, etc. Very fast service and excellent food quality (Friday afternoons, wait time for food less than 20 minutes for three people). During peak times such as Friday evenings, it is advisable to make a reservation, as senior citizen groups regularly dine in the restaurant during these times. (Seniors receive special discounts.) For schnitzel lovers, a visit is a feast.

A huge selection of different schnitzels, making it really difficult to decide. I opted for one of the four (!) Cordon Bleu varieties and didn't regret it. It took a bit longer, but when we heard the chef pounding the schnitzels in the kitchen next door, we knew they would definitely be freshly prepared. The wait in the small beer garden was worth it. We both had truly delicious schnitzels with excellent sides and fantastic sauces in a separate sauce boat. There were also several beers on tap to choose from and, of course, various other drinks, all at reasonable prices. We'd love to come back!

Good food. A bit hidden, but very pleasant with Hintethof. Service that evening was reserved, almost cold. I was there for the chanterelle mushrooms. Delicious.

We're visiting Halle, and I had this restaurant in mind beforehand. It looked very unassuming from the outside. When we walked in, I realized everything was booked. 😮 But since the weather was great, I politely asked if we could sit in the beer garden. And? Yes, we were. 😊 What can I say: cozy, the staff very friendly and attentive! The food was excellent. 👍 Thanks for everything. We hope to come back again during our three-day stay in Halle. 😃

The food was truly delicious – I ordered a Wiener Schnitzel with fries, and both were crispy, fresh, and well-seasoned. I was absolutely impressed by the quality of the food. Unfortunately, the service didn't quite live up to the standard. The staff seemed rather unmotivated – not unfriendly, but not particularly attentive or welcoming either. This somewhat spoiled the otherwise pleasant atmosphere. Overall, though, it was a nice restaurant with good food. If the service were a bit more engaging, there would be nothing to complain about.

The food was very tasty and the combinations were very interesting, but unfortunately overpriced for the supposedly double portions! On top of that, the schnitzel with asparagus cost almost €23, and then came with three stalks of asparagus. The service seemed more annoyed than anything else!

We've been able to stop by the "Schnitzelwirtin" restaurant many times and always love the very varied, creative schnitzel variations. In this cozy restaurant, or on the very quiet, spacious terrace, you'll receive friendly, prompt, and courteous service from very friendly staff. Today we had some unusual requests, more vegetables, etc. 😉... and these were fulfilled exactly 👍 Since people sometimes tend to be a little less hungry, the "senior portions" are a good option. Our satisfaction is reflected in the fact that we've already made further reservations. (We highly recommend these.) We wish the entire team continued success, good luck, and all the best.

It was our first time there and we were thrilled. At first glance, it seems a bit unassuming, but then it hits the spot with such good service and food. I can't describe it any other way. You can hear the kitchen regularly pounding out the fresh schnitzels, which are super delicious and crispy. Nothing was too greasy, over-seasoned, or under-seasoned. The service is regularly at the table, and the value for money is almost unbeatable. Simply fantastic. Thanks to the team for the great time.

We had a delicious meal at Schnitzelwirtin in Halle! The choice of schnitzels is extensive and varied, something for everyone. The schnitzels were perfectly prepared: crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside and richly topped or served with delicious side dishes. What also stood out very positively is the attention paid to children. They were given crayons to color their own children's menu and a fun game to keep them entertained while we waited for the food. This allowed us to relax and enjoy our dinner. An attractive place with good service and real German hospitality. Definitely recommended if you are in Halle and fancy a good schnitzel!

Die Panade dadurch viel zu feucht. Die PreiselbeerSahnesoße war nicht schmackhaft. Viel zu süß und die blanke Sahne. Das Letscho eines anderen Schnitzel- Gerichtes scharf, viel zu scharf. Für unseren Geschmack wohlgemerkt. Wir als Paar werden nicht wieder kommen. Preis - Leistung hat viel Luft nach oben.

We had a reservation for 11:30 a.m. Unfortunately there was a note on the door saying that for technical reasons it wouldn't open until 12 p.m. Since it was cold that day and we didn't want to wait in the cold, we decided to eat somewhere else.

Portion was larger than expected (I was just thinking about ordering a double portion, good thing I didn't), the solyanka with a lot of filling. Food was very tasty. I can imagine that the bear will be on the loose here this weekend. If you like schnitzel, definitely come here, oh and to everyone else, the place isn't called "Schnitzelwirtin" for nothing, the name says it all. Classics such as real Wiener Schnitzel, Hamburger/Holsteiner, but also interesting alternatives are available. In my opinion the prices are completely reasonable.

We went there on the chance because the restaurant was recommended to us and were really lucky to get a seat. With the delicious food, it's no wonder that everything is reserved or already occupied. We were not disappointed and our expectations were far exceeded. From the outside it looks very inconspicuous and inside everything is quite old and there are very few spaces. Nevertheless, the restaurant deserves 5 stars!

Hallo, eins muss ich vorrausschicken, wir haben ohne Reservierung noch einen Tisch bekommen und dass kurz vor Weihnachten. Das Essen wir lecker. Es gibt leider auch ein aber und zwar die Bedienung. Die weibliche Bedienung war wirklich freundlich aber der junge Mann ging garnicht. Man konnte ihm quasi am Gesicht ablesen, wie "gerne" er seinen Job macht. Völlig spaßbefreit und als ich ihm am Ende noch Trinkgeld reichen wollte, kam noch ein unfreundlich Kommentar. Bedankt hat er sich bei uns auch nicht fürs Trinkgeld. Dass ist sehr schade, denn ein Restaurant steht und fällt mit seinem Personal. Auch wenn ich hier so die Antworten auf die negativen Bewertungen lese, hat es für mich den Anschein, als könne man mit Kritik nicht gut umgehen, als daraus zu lernen und es sich Zunutze zu machen.

The website offers reservations by email. We have lunch reservations for 6 p.m. When the four of us arrived on time, they shrugged their shoulders and said it had been canceled by email - unfortunately not. If you offer reservations by email, you must respond promptly or not offer it at all.

Here you can get the tastiest schnitzels in the city and the conditions are very friendly. Reservations would be an advantage as there are a lot of people going.

I've been there twice so far and the food was tasty both times. Unfortunately the waiting time was a bit long the first time and we had to wait longer before we could order. The second time everything was fine, we were served quickly and asked every now and then whether everything was tasty. The ambience is too dark for my taste, especially in the evening. A few more lights would be nice and might make the atmosphere more comfortable. Would come back at any time.
