We were there for the crime dinner, for the second time. The food was good, the service was excellent and the event in general was super fun and really great.

We were at the Krug for the class reunion program. The program is entertaining and funny. However, disappointments are to be expected when it comes to food. The main course was not warm and the veal fillet was dry. Different opinions are to be expected when it comes to taste. With a ticket price of €100, you can't say whether the price-performance ratio for the food is right. In any case, the service staff was very friendly and always open to our wishes. Apart from the compromises with the food, it was a recommendable and entertaining evening.

This restaurant has been a well-known and popular restaurant for decades. The song "Walking is the miller's pleasure" was composed here"

I spent a wonderful afternoon at the farmers market with many other guests here. The wind orchestra Halle-Neustadt e.V. performed wonderful, well-known pieces of music.

After my recent visit to the Restaurant “Krug zum Grünen Kranze” I would like to share my experiences share in the form of this review. Unfortunately, I have to say that my stay in this facility was not the same expectations that I met due to the had positive reviews. First of all was the service disappointing. The service worked inattentive and disinterested, leading to long waits. It seemed like the staff were overwhelmed, which had a negative effect on the whole atmosphere. Furthermore, the quality of the food was not satisfactory. The courts were either overcooked or taste-wise, uninspired. Particularly the main course that I chose was far away from what you did in one Expect a restaurant in this price range would. Also the presentation of the Food left something to be desired. Additionally, the cleanliness was Premises is another point struck me negatively. The tables were not thoroughly cleaned, and the floor seemed unkempt. This didn’t help just to a pleasant one dining environment. Overall, my visit to the Restaurant “Krug zum Grünen Kranze” disappointing. I hope that those responsible take these points seriously and take appropriate action Make improvements to future guests a better one experience. Today we were at the rah6der Gin Tour in the Krug zum Grünen Kranze. We experienced an excellent gin tasting in a great atmosphere. Gladly again at any time

After many wonderful experiences in the Krug, today everything smelled like decline. Overwhelmed (student?) staff, a menu for the Sunday coffee time on which cakes and ice cream were completely missing and the waitresses were also unable to provide information about the prices. The 4.90 sheet cake with wide edges that need to be cut off. We lacked motivation for the evening buffet at €35 (for one person without drinks).

I was looking forward to the ambience and the hospitality - unfortunately none of the apparently four waitresses felt encouraged to approach us within about 20 minutes (occupancy was around six occupied tables). So we're going to another restaurant now.

Very nice atmosphere. Went for all you can eat, the prices at 35 euros per person are definitely justified. From fresh beef carpaccio to beef roulades to dessert (lemon ice cream served in a frozen lemon), everything was freshly prepared. Service very friendly. We'll definitely be back.

In the garden you can sit comfortably under the shady trees with a view of the Saale. The service is friendly and quick.

Ambience top We were there with 76 people, the terrace was well prepared for the number of people, the anniversary celebration was organized over a period of weeks. We chose the smoker buffet, 2 meat dishes, 1 fish dish, various salads, bread and desserts for €27.90 per person. Stately price. We were all excited but unfortunately we were very disappointed, 4 warming containers and 5 bowls of salad for 76 people :-( The buffet was opened, the first batch was served - all containers were empty and nothing was refilled. Very sad, for such an address in Halle, therefore from our point of view it is not suitable for large groups. Pity...

A classic right on the Saale. We took part in the buffet. Empty containers and sometimes poor quality. Duck and carpaccio of octopus and shrimp are of very good quality, but there was no olive oil or even vinegar anywhere. The prices are completely excessive.

Today we went for Sunday brunch as a group of 18 people. The food was plentiful and of good quality. From salads to hearty main courses and sweet desserts, everything was available. The staff was very friendly and on the ball. I can only make one recommendation here

Nice historical place to stop for a break. We finished a cycling trip here and were pleasantly surprised by the service and staff. There was an all you can eat buffet for 39.90 euros. It was a creative choice of food. Something for every taste. Plus 3 delicious draft beers. Here you can chill out and relax. Or meet up with friends and have a long chat. We liked it and we recommend this location to you. Gladly again...

Last Sunday we went to the summer buffet at Krug zum Grünen Kranze. The location is beautiful and located directly on the Saale. The meal was very disappointing at a price of 35 euros per person. At a "summer buffet" I don't want duck leg with red cabbage and dumplings. The concept was absolutely missing here. There was a chef at the grill, but for the price I expected something more sophisticated than chicken and pork steaks. Fresh, green salads were completely missing. Instead there was potato salad or boiled beef salad... We stayed for coffee, with which we were probably served cake from the freezer. In any case, it didn't taste good. The service was friendly and attentive, but mostly new and not professional. Conclusion: Price-performance ratio is not right

Food was great. We had buffet. Lots of choice and everything was delicious and the quality was great. Staff was friendly and accommodating.

Unfortunately, on weekends there is currently only a summer buffet for €35 per person. You can't eat that as a pensioner.

We were in the beer garden on Sunday shortly after 3 p.m. We waited about 10 minutes. Unfortunately, no waiter noticed or served us. Although there was capacity. It reflects the last visit years ago. A pity!

We reserved a table for a family celebration - everything was beautifully set up with a view of the Saale, the cuisine was simply excellent and Ronny was the waiter and provided excellent wit and humor! Just great and keep it up!

We wanted to use the all-you-can-eat buffet today and had a reservation. Due to health reasons we wanted a place in the shade, there were still enough places in the shade available. The nice employee said: "... whether he should call up there so that the sun can be turned off..." The level and customer service is different - we ate somewhere more stylish and relaxed. We don't need it again, what a shame!

As always, it was very nice in the Krug. I can warmly recommend this restaurant.

It was very disappointing, we paid 3.50 euros per person to set the table (there were 15 people) and some of the tables were dirty. It was also very carelessly set. You could still see the edges of the previous red wine glasses on the tablecloths (none of us had red wine). Although reserved for 15 people, we only had room for 14 people) the staff was completely overwhelmed and we had to wait forever for drinks. Communication with the staff was sometimes quite difficult because they sometimes didn't understand us (they only spoke broken German). The used glasses weren't cleared away for ages. Full ashtrays were not emptied despite notification. Conclusion not recommended for a wedding party or family celebrations.

Rarely have I seen and eaten such a great buffet. The service was very attentive and friendly.

We celebrated here as a very large group. A hot and cold buffet was offered. The price for adults is 35 euros, for children 19 euros. The selection was very tasty and was constantly replenished. The waiters were very quick, even if something was forgotten, it was brought straight away. I was surprised at how many staff there were. It was a great evening.

Stopped in there after a Sunday walk - food from the buffet - some of it was no longer warm, hardly any choice - overall not recommended if you want to go out for a good meal - a shame

Had dinner here. The location is great, right on the Saale. The tables were a bit dirty. The food looked good, but was only lukewarm and very greasy. The veal schnitzel was so thin that it was only held together by the breading. The lamb shank was very tender, but the beans tasted like they had been thawed. The service staff was friendly and quick. The view of the river makes up for a lot.

Ronny is the best, he served us really well, we would love to come back

As always, the food was very tasty, but the service was a bit overwhelmed. It was the same this time too, if the menu offers asparagus with hollandaise sauce, butter... you should also ask what you want with the asparagus. We made a reservation, sat at the door to the terrace, the door was constantly open, drafty and therefore cold.

Not recommendable. We went to a family celebration with 12 people. That was completely overwhelming for the staff. Half of the meals were put together incorrectly. Although we explained our special requests to the waitress and asked him if he could handle all the requested changes. They said sure. Drinks were brought that we hadn't ordered (they were waiting two tables away) and the wrong wine came. And then we also had to shell out 52 euros for “setting the table in white”. Sorry but that's what I expect when a meal costs 30 euros. Never again

The Krug zum Grünen Kranze impresses with a beautiful beer garden on the banks of the Saale, which gives hope for solid cuisine and a warm hospitality culture. Unfortunately we had to do without both tonight. The service seems very hectic, sometimes clumsy, unoriented and unfortunately not friendly at all! First you are left standing there forever as an insecure stranger, then, when you just make yourself comfortable, the cards are slapped on the table - without a single greeting or eye contact. The drinks came quickly and were well chilled, the menu was full of asparagus dishes. Unfortunately, the food was a total failure: the vegan dish of the day, a chili sin carne, is cheaper and better in every cafeteria. For almost 23 euros (!) there was then a good pound of German asparagus (which had a strange aftertaste and didn't taste particularly fresh) carelessly slapped onto the plate, poured over with a Tetrapak "sauce", presumably from the Lukull brand, which was in is cheekily labeled "Hollandaise sauce" on the menu (a Hollandaise sauce is a butter sauce - this industrial mush has nothing to do with that). To top it all off, there are two parsley potatoes (the singular was almost enough...) and two awkwardly placed strawberry halves. I would have liked to express this criticism in a friendly manner to the staff, but the guest is not asked about it. Neither during the meal nor afterwards is anyone inquired about his well-being - after constantly changing service, a young man frantically collects the money and rushes to the next table. Conclusion: As a guest, I felt that I was anything but well entertained, but rather that I was left with carelessly cooked and served food - the dishes on the tables next to me didn't seem so careless, anyone who eats a schnitzel with asparagus apparently also gets an appropriate portion of potatoes. There is an urgent need for improvement here (unskilled people can also operate well).

Pretty traditional restaurant with a direct view of Giebichenstein Castle from the large garden, directly on the Saale (bright beach). Unfortunately opening hours have shrunk considerably, brunch is more frequent (workshop likes). So check beforehand to see if it's open. The prices are ambitious, the portions ok. Thoroughly recommended!

Celebrated New Year's Eve here for the first time. We were so positively surprised, everything was right. It was a great evening. We'll be back next year 🤗

Sunday buffet...unfortunately a bit disappointed! No great effort was put into preparing the food, which unfortunately quickly got cold. The refill was also tough, like a duck...a shame. At that price we won't be coming back. More could have been done with it.

We were guests with 4 people and found a table very quickly, the restaurant was only moderately busy. When choosing drinks, the first products that were not in stock revealed themselves. So you would have to change your mind, it could happen. Then we ordered food and the next disappointments: There were various things that weren't there. Good service staff point this out to the guest at the beginning (e.g. "Unfortunately the butcher was unable to supply us with fresh veal schnitzel today and we regret not being able to offer it to you today"). It would be much more pleasant for the guest than having to change his mind several times. The biggest flaw for me was the "children's menu", where you can choose between fries, fries with schnitzel or a sweet waffle. That was it then. Unfortunately, when asked if they had pasta or something else, they just shook their heads. Unfortunately, it is absolutely not recommended for families. The prices for some of the dishes were relatively high, which for me can be attributed to fresh products and good quality. The restaurateur has to answer the question of whether this pricing is appropriate for Halle. Unfortunately, I can't recommend it with the shortcomings mentioned.

Wir hatten da einen sehr schönen Abend, das Personal ist sehr freundlich und wir mussten nicht lange auf Speisen und Getränke warten. Wir können den Krug Zum Grünen Kranze weiterempfehlen.

Essen war vom Buffet, meiner Meinung nach war der Buffetpreis pro Person zu teuer. Essen war gut, Nachtisch wurde in Etappen hingestellt aber immer was anderes, so hatte man keinen Überblick was es alles schönes gab. Getränke wurden serviert, aber es dauerte sehr lange bis der Service überhaupt kam und die Bestellung aufnahm.

Essen, Service und Ambiente alles top. Waren heute zum Martinsgansessen im Krug. Dank an den Koch. Kann man nur empfehlen, schaut mal vorbei.

Zum Sommer-Buffet dort gewesen, leider kein Highlight. Gemüse ohne Sossen oder Butter, alles unterwürzt, Fleisch und Beilagen waren leider Convinience. Insgesamt leider das schlechteste Essen seit langem. Und das zu fast 30 Euro pro Person. Dann lieber nur auf ein Getränk in den Kranz und Aussicht geniessen, aber auch hier leider sportliche Preise von fast 6 Euro für ein Flaschenbier.

Sehr schöner Ort für Veranstaltungen. Am Saaleufer bei schönen Wetter ein Traum.

Ein sehr schönes traditionelles Restaurant am Ufer der Saale und am Fuße der Burg Giebichenstein. Haben jetzt zum 3. Mal unsere Firmenfeier hier gemacht, bei schönsten Wetter im gemütlichen Biergarten, mit Bootsfahrten direkt von der Gaststätte aus. Livemusik von der Band "Bienstich" war einfach Klasse. 👍 Sehr nette Bedienung und immer ein Ausflug wert. Bis zum nächsten Mal. 👍

Eine sehr schöne Gaststätte direkt an der Saale gelegen mit einem herrlichen Biergarten. Leider gibt es nur noch Buffetessen für 28,90 Euro pro Person. Das ist sehr schade. Manch einer möchte einfach nur unter den großen Bäumen am Wasser sitzen und vielleicht eine Kleinigkeit zu einem Bierchen essen, aber das ist leider nicht mehr möglich. So werden wir uns wohl eine andere Lokalität suchen müssen. Sehr sehr schade!

Mit einer grösseren Gruppe trafen wir uns zum Essen im Restaurant. Bedienung war ok und gab sich Mühe. Das Essen war einfach nur schlecht, anders kann ich es nicht ausdrücken. Die Vorspeisen und Salate voller Majo, der Lachs fettig. Die Hauptspeisen waren ungewürzt und sahen unappetitlich aus. Nie wieder werde ich dieses Restaurant betreten und rate jeden davon ab.

Sehr geehrte Leserinnen und Leser, ich möchte an dieser Stelle meine ernüchternde Erfahrung mit Ihnen teilen, die sich im letzten Jahr auf meiner Hochzeitsfeier in Halles berühmtester Gaststätte, dem "Krug zum grünen Kranze", ereignet hat. Was als ein denkwürdiger Tag hätte in die Geschichte eingehen sollen, endete leider in einer Enttäuschung, die ich nicht unerwähnt lassen kann. Die Kulisse des "Krug zum grünen Kranze" war zweifellos beeindruckend – das historische Gebäude versprühte den Charme vergangener Tage. Doch der erste Eindruck täuschte. Als die Zeit kam, um das festliche Mahl zu genießen, wurden meine Gäste und ich mit einer kalten Realität konfrontiert: Das Essen war nur lauwarm, als wäre es eine Hommage an das Motto "Kühl serviert im Zeichen des Kranzes". Die Vorfreude auf kulinarische Köstlichkeiten wich rasch dem Bedauern über die geschmackliche Flaute auf unseren Tellern. Aber das war nicht das Ende der Unannehmlichkeiten. Die Bedienung schien sich im Takt einer Schnecke zu bewegen – Getränke wurden nur schleppend geliefert, als wären sie auf einem Marathonlauf durch die Küche unterwegs gewesen. Das Personal schien eher wie Teil einer historischen Inszenierung, bei der man das Gefühl hatte, die Zeitreise hätte sie in einen Sumpf aus ineffizientem Service geführt. Der absolute Höhepunkt kam jedoch, als uns um 21:30 Uhr, bei bereits mehr als 1500 € auf der Rechnung, mitgeteilt wurde, dass wir die letzte Runde bestellen müssten (an einem Sommerabend, Samstags im September). Offenbar hat der aktuelle Betreiber des Lokals wenig Interesse daran gezeigt, den Namen des "Krug zum grünen Kranze" aufrechtzuerhalten. Vielmehr scheint er von der Vergangenheit des Ortes zu leben, ohne sich um die Erfahrungen seiner Gäste im Hier und Jetzt zu scheren. Ich kann nur hoffen, dass andere zukünftige Brautpaare ihre Hochzeitsfeiern an einem Ort ausrichten können, der den bedeutenden Anlass angemessen würdigt und nicht von vergangenen Lorbeeren zehrt. Die Hochzeitsglocken mögen im "Krug zum grünen Kranze" läuten, aber sie könnten genauso gut das Läuten der Alarmglocken sein – für jene, die sich nach einem denkwürdigen Erlebnis sehnen. Das Essen war sehr lecker. Es gab viel Auswahl und für jeden Geschmack war etwas dabei.😋 Das Ambiente ist sowohl drinnen als auch draußen sehr einladend gestaltet. Das Personal ist freundlich, sehr zuvorkommend und Ronny ist spitze und sehr geduldig.😄🤗

Quel lieu paisible et magnifique! Sur le bord de la rivière, entre profiter de la splendide vue sur le château et les berges en profitent d’une cousine raffinée et d’un service hors du commun. Attention j’y étais dans le cadre du festival des lanternes de fait c’était sans doute une soirée spéciale.

Es sollte ein netter Abend werden … das Personal war freundlich und nett und steht’s bemühte die Unterbesetzung auszugleichen. Für doch gehobene Preise, bekommt man Essen angeboten,dass nicht mal dem Niveau einer Kantine entspricht. Geschmacklos, kalt, Auswahl recht überschaubar. Wie man ein Buffet so lieblos gestalten kann, alle Achtung das muß man erstmal schaffen. Als Inhaber würde ich mich dafür schämen. Nie wieder werde ich diese „Gaststätte „ besuchen.
