The roast pork was very tasty. The Kaiserschmarrn, on the other hand, was a real disappointment. It tasted like it came from the frozen section at Edeka.
The service was good.
Super friendly staff. A very tasty pizza tonno with extra pineapple. Unfortunately, my husband's steak was a bit tough, but otherwise everything was delicious.
We had arrived in Berchtesgaden having spent 8 nights at one of the best hotels in Italy. We were not sure what we wanted but after Italy wanted something very good. Stumbled across Sophie's by chance. Menu was appealing. Choice of seating in front patio area, inside or rear patio overlooking a small tranquil park. Chose rear patio. Food was fresh, well cooked and presented. Sophie was an excellent hostess who could speak good English. Enjoyed the meal, decor and service so much returned the next day, twice the next day and again the next day. On all occasions everything was first class. Ate in all 3 areas. Inside decor is stylish and well thought out. Overall very good value. Would happily eat here every week if we did not live over 1,700km away. Will remember our meals here with fond memories.
What a wonderful "sorpresa" this Mexican restaurant. With delicious food: home-made Nachos with cheese (never had such a good nachos), tortitas de pollo that melt in the mouth, camarones al ajillo (never thought having shrimps in a tortita would be soooo good) and the hit was Quesabirrias, a local Sinaloa owner's mum's speciality.
Service was perfect: fast, effective and thoughtful. Thanks for such a lovely evening.
Sushi and all the other dishes on the menu make this the best *Asian* restaurant near Cham.
You can make reservations online, but there have been occasions when there were no seats available at that time. Therefore, we had to wait longer for a table. However, reservations are essential in the evenings and on weekends, as a free spot might not be available.
I'm deducting one star for these two points. Despite having a reservation, we had to leave early, after less than 1.5 hours, because the table had to be rebooked. There have also been occasions when we had to wait more than 1.5 hours for our food.
The food was wonderful, and especially the option to create your own menu (with help from the chef himself!!!) was simply fantastic! The prices are also really fair, and you won't be disappointed with the portion sizes. Highly recommended!
We were two adults with our 9-year-old daughter and had both a fish platter (with 3 scampi on top), a grilled platter with rice and fries, salad, olives with tzatziki, and much more! None of it was heavy on the stomach or anything...simply top-notch!
Food was okay. Samosa felt like it was fried twice just to make it hot. Too much oil absorbed into it.
The main course was very delicious and worth the price. Nothing special about the service.
Just OUTSTANDING. The best ice cream I've had in Germany and Austria. Beautiful decor, the staff and owner couldn't be sweeter. 100% recommend, a home away from home.
The food was rather average. The duck from the lunch menu tasted like chicken and was totally dry. In my opinion the offer has nothing to do with Indian food.
The food itself is good. However, the price is significantly higher than the competition, despite the same quality. The extremely unfriendly and incredibly arrogant service is problematic. Ignorance and eye-rolling when asked questions are absolutely unacceptable when dealing with customers. And beware: bread is served before the meal as a "greeting from the kitchen," without being asked, and then charged afterwards – without any warning! Normal in other countries, but with the information that you have to pay according to what you eat. From now on, the competitors profit from my hunger and money!
Here, cooking is at the heart of the business. Fabulously prepared, with great flavors and ingredients, and genuine hospitality. They also provide excellent tips for the region. The Gasthof Kellner is definitely worth a visit, even if it's a bit of a detour.
