A great restaurant if you want to overpay. I'll gladly come back, since the owner deletes bad reviews and I enjoy having drunk waitresses waving their arms in my face :)

This inn offers hospitality combined with good, down-to-earth cuisine, served in a charming, rather than a rough, manner like at the Augustiner Keller. Highly recommended.

I recently had the pike-perch, which was very good. Then the onion roast beef, which was very tough. The lunch menu is okay.

Fantastic Bavarian restaurant. My girlfriend and I managed to get a table at the last minute and were really surprised to find it fully booked on a Thursday evening. The atmosphere is lovely, and we loved the decor. The food arrived quickly and tasted absolutely delicious. The staff was very friendly, and I highly recommend this restaurant.

The service was friendly as always, the food was delicious as always, and the food arrived at the table super fast.

We were a group of six at the Alter Wirt for Sunday lunch. It was still very quiet. Nevertheless, server Susie managed to appear stressed and irritated. She favored other guests—apparently people she knew—and answered cheekily and rudely whenever I asked questions. She almost managed to spoil our good mood. The food was very good as usual, but the service this time was completely awful.

Honestly, I was disappointed and can't understand the good reviews. I had the "Backhendl" salad. It had absolutely nothing to do with fried chicken! Mediocre frozen food from the deep fryer; I can still taste the preservatives on my tongue. There were three pieces of it on a small salad. It was quite good. But you pay €18.80 for that. It's absolutely not right. The ambiance is quite nice, but the lighting isn't cozy. The noise level is just enough for a normal conversation. Service was OK, friendly, but not warm. For two (meat patties, salad, tea, and a schnitzel), €50 was gone for a mediocre experience. Unfortunately, I won't be going back...

Super cozy restaurant. The knuckle of pork was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, really well done! The other dishes also taste great and are freshly prepared. The service is friendly, fast, and attentive. I'll definitely be back!

Now with the new kitchen, it's changed a lot. The kids' meals and the frozen pizza... Yes, frozen pizza for €15.50 doesn't taste good and is, in my opinion, a disgrace.

We are absolutely thrilled! Our waiter was the warmest, funniest, and most genuine person we've ever met in a restaurant. No matter how busy it was, he always remained in a good mood, was fun to be with, and always had a lighthearted joke on his lips. You rarely experience such warmth! The pretzel schnitzel with fries and the crispy schnitzel with potato salad were simply amazing—by far the best schnitzels we've ever eaten. And a freshly tapped, delicious beer to go with it. We will definitely be back and are already looking forward to our next visit. A true piece of Bavarian hospitality—highly recommended! 🤍 Thank you for the wonderful evening.

An average Bavarian restaurant. The food is nothing special, and for us, it's not worth a second visit. The dessert selection is a bit limited. The Kaiserschmarrn is homemade, and you can leave out the raisins, but the Kaiserschmarrn itself is a small portion, very soggy, and has too much powdered sugar.

Very tasty food and a rustic restaurant with a great atmosphere. We had pork knuckle, schnitzel, duck, a children's portion of schnitzel, and Kaiserschmarrn, and everything was delicious. The food arrived very quickly, and the service was very friendly.

A good selection of dishes, so everyone should be able to find something (including vegetarian options). There's a spacious restroom with a changing table and wheelchair access. Beautiful beer garden with mature trees. Small parking lot with a barrier right next to the restaurant. In summary: a clear recommendation for a down-to-earth pub.

Amazing dishes and super friendly service. Above all, they also have great vegetarian dishes ;) Reservations are usually not required, so you can just drop in spontaneously! Beautifully decorated inside and out, and the new beer mug heaven inside the restaurant is especially great! I recommend the roast pork, which is always super tender and incredibly good :)!

The Alte Wirt is a classic! We always enjoy coming back as colleagues and enjoy the cozy, stylish ambiance—whether inside or in the beer garden. The menu is imaginative and leaves nothing to be desired (highly recommended for vegetarians too!). The service is always top-notch! See you next time!

As a Tyrolean from the flatlands of North Rhine-Westphalia, you get total Bavarian romance here. 🥰 The inn and beer garden are idyllic and exude their Bavarian charm. They even spared no expense on the live music. The food is outstanding, and now, just before the Wiesen, the first Wiesen delicacies are already being served. The whole thing is rounded off by the Zop conditions. Thank you, Marko, you made the evening a real experience for us.

I went there for a reasonably quick business lunch between meetings. Place was not busy, just a few guests. Other guests were served, I was ignored. In order to speed things up I got myself the menu. Waited another 10minutes while waiter had time to chat with other guests. I left to eat across the road at Bella Italia. Strange.

I’ve been to Alter Wirt Moosach more than three times now and every visit has been a hit. The food is consistently delicious and it’s one of my favorite places for a proper Bavarian meal. It’s also the perfect spot for a Bavarian breakfast, especially if you want to start the day right. The Wiener Schnitzel is amazing, crispy and full of flavor. I’ve also tried the surf and turf, absolutely worth every penny. The house-made Käsespätzle is super creamy and comforting, and I highly recommend it. The Zwiebelrostbraten is really good too. Tender meat, rich sauce and just the right amount of crispy onions on top. The place is beautiful, with a cozy and relaxed atmosphere. The service has always been good and everyone working there is friendly and kind. Highly recommend if you’re in the area or just want to enjoy traditional food in a lovely setting.

Has 2 labelled vegan dishes on the menu plus some side dishes (fries, side salad…). The rice dish was fine, but average in taste. The portion was rather large and the location is nice

The food and atmosphere all deserve 5 stars. The prices are okay, the Sommerzwickel is fantastic. The food was great. There's music on Thursdays. I'd be happy to go back. Aaaand making reservations in the evening makes sense and is very easy to do via the website. Today, there was a severe staff shortage. We were sitting for 20 minutes without any service staff nearby, which is quite a lot. The prices here are okay for the quality, but the quality has to be right.

Extremely loud, impossible to have a normal conversation. It's about as loud as a beer tent. It's definitely better in the beer garden itself.

It's a typical Munich beer garden, the food is great, and the service is very friendly.

Service was friendly and fast. The roast beef with onions wasn't a highlight. The fried potatoes were drenched in oil...nothing crispy at all. The mini side salad, which costs €5.20, isn't justified for this size. The farmer's feast was also too oily.

For a reason I can't fathom in retrospect, I assumed it would "start" at 11:00. So I entered, peed, sat down in the beer garden, and started ordering. The waitresses remained very friendly and matter-of-fact: "You can have the light beer right away, but the white sausages won't be available until 11:30." I read that you get free tickets for the beer festival if you write reviews on Google—really, with photos. So I crawled onto one of the umbrellas to take a picture of the logo on the other umbrella—essentially risking my life. I didn't get a chance to take the obligatory selfie: I slipped. By the way: It's a good thing the old landlord labels his salt shakers—well, I would have thought they were peppercorns!

We were in the beer garden, and it was simply beautiful. So typically Bavarian. I love going to Munich, and from now on, I'll be a regular here. The service was quick and courteous. The food was very good, and the price was really reasonable. You don't often find a half-liter of beer for under €5 in Munich these days. So, we were completely satisfied. We'd love to come back. It was a very pleasant evening in a great atmosphere.
