Cozy restaurant, very good food and very friendly staff

Very nice, quiet restaurant. Food was really tasty and large portions. Conditions were really brisk and, as you would expect in Munich, you didn't have to wait long for a freshly tapped half.

I would like to start with a big compliment to our waitress yesterday, who always looked after us 4 “young men” with wit and charm. The food in my case SchniPoSa (Schitzel, fries, salad) was very good and, above all, very filling at reasonable prices. All in all, really very good and recommended. Extension through October 25, 2024 Now 3 years later things have changed, except that there were five of us. The two girls in service were unbeatable. The food was very good as expected. Still a clear recommendation.

Rustic Bavarian economy, pork sausages with cabbage very tasty. Franziskaner wheat beer at just the right temperature. Cut spade also very tasty. Service ladies deserve special mention. Absolutely on point and totally friendly. It was a very nice get-together. We'll be back. DJBoozzy when you have a party 🎧🎼😉

Food was great and big portions. We were there around 3 with a group of 8. Was pretty quiet at that time. Service was prompt and they put up the parasol for us when we asked them.

Food was incredible. Huge portions and great prices. Service, however, was awful. We only speak English and the Server asked us a question we didn’t understand and he got so frustrated he stormed off. He was so rude and unfriendly the remaining of the time it made the entire dining experience very uncomfortable. He also forgot one of the appetizers we ordered (probably because he was busy being so mad). It’s too bad he ruined our experience because everything else was great. Still not sure what he was trying to ask us that really set him off but he should work on that as I’m sure this location gets a lot of tourists

My wife and daughter had the Schnitzel Vienna style and I had the pork knuckle. This is the real deal as far as Biergartens go. The food excellent, the service superb, and of course the excellent beer. You can go elsewhere but you’ll do worse.

After a series of visits of declining quality, all threads were broken. The pork medallions we ordered were served raw inside. When this was pointed out, the court was quietly withdrawn. To my surprise, the dish came back a few minutes later with the same cut medallions. (The medallions were rinsed of the sauce, fried again and placed on the plate. A no go). During that time there was not a word of apology from the waitress or the kitchen. The highlight, however, was the payment (of course the dish was charged at full price). During the payment process I spoke to my mother in Polish about the above-mentioned circumstances and this Don't earn tips. The waitress then pointed out to us that she spoke Polish and tried to explain. The restaurant didn't do anything wrong, etc. She must have felt personally attacked and was angry about the small tip. Private table conversations have nothing to do with restaurant staff and interfering in them is simply bad service. During the entire meal and even when leaving the restaurant, no one apologized for the kitchen mistake. It's a shame that people have always enjoyed going to the Zamdorfer over the years, but the restaurant now only lives on its reputation and no longer offers anything outstanding.

Arrived at the Hyperion Munich today. Due to the bad weather, we looked for a restaurant nearby and stumbled across this gem of Bavarian cuisine. The dining room is quaint and not as crowded as you would expect from breweries, but it is still cozy. The service is very attentive and explained everything very well to me as a Ruhrpottler. The food was simply to die for. The pork knuckle so juicy and crispy. The roast is so tender and perfectly balanced. Clear recommendation

We were at Poing Zoo in mid-August and accidentally discovered the Zamdorfer tavern with a beer garden through Google. What can I say, it was a real stroke of luck 😊 The inn is located in a quiet residential area, you wouldn't think you were in the middle of Munich! We chose a spot in the beer garden and were served quickly. The menu is very clear, but I still shortlisted 3-4 dishes (since I eat very little meat). Otherwise you don't have much of a choice of vegetarian dishes. There really is something for everyone! I can say that the service is hard to beat. We would be served by Rosa and I have rarely experienced such a friendly waitress who puts her heart and soul into her job. Thank you for that. The food was super tasty, we all enjoyed it and we were all full. Prices okay. We'll definitely be back!

Great location. Very fast friendly service. Very tasty food. Price performance top. The only negative point: side salads were brought to the meal without pointing out that they charge an extra 4 euros per side salad... the information beforehand would have been great.

Beer garden is nice, but my pork knuckle was very dry

Kaiserschmarrn is one of the best. Very well caramalised with fruits. Still I prefer apple instead of plum but still it was great. Schweinhaxe with knödel was good too. Maybe meat was overcooked and dried but tasty. Knödel was top notch!

The good reviews are probably based on the previous staff and cuisine (it used to be a good restaurant with a beer garden). 1. the beer garden has been eliminated, there are only served tables. 2. The friendly service is still partly there. With luck you can get good and friendly service. 3. We felt ripped off. Initially good and nice service. Until we were “fed off” and there was nothing left to earn from us. 4. We indicated we wanted to pay more than five times. An invoice was not brought. Instead, after about 15 minutes, they asked for an amount that was probably far too high. We won't be going there again and can't recommend this restaurant at all.

That was my assessment, I don't know why it was received differently. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the food is delicious 😋

Quiet restaurant with good food typical of the area and a good terrace. We were attended to by Rosa and received excellent service. We did it again since we were very comfortable the first time. Highly recommended!

Classic Munich restaurant with traditional, tasty and abundant dishes. Friendly service, even in English. Menu also for children. The kaisersmarren is really excellent.

Food is overpriced and carelessly served with parsley. Waiter was unfriendly and irritable. Our children's orders were ignored, so we had to order adults. The advertised playground was an outdated sandpit. When we wanted to add a table, the waiter refused and the table was kept free for guests taking their lunch break. We were also paying guests so we have no understanding for it. We've seen the restaurant for the last time and we won't recommend it to anyone else. We simply expect more for our final bill. Sorry

We felt very comfortable. The food tasted very good and the service was extremely courteous, friendly and relaxed. I had a snack with the Obazda, the kids thought the schnitzel was very tasty. Children are welcome and a playground is right next to the beer garden. Definitely worth a visit. Therefore 5 stars 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟

Soup of the day, cheese spaetzle and Kaiserschmarrn are recommended. Everything is ok in terms of price. Friendly and quick... except for the slightly caramelized Kaiserschmarrn, which takes a little longer... but that's even on the menu and it's worth the wait 😊

After a few unfortunate visits, I gave the beer garden another chance after two years. The food was really convincing. The lumberjack steak was to die for. And the children were thrilled with the delicious Kaiserschmarrn and apple cake. However, the service can still be worked on a little. All in all a nice beer garden.

A tip for every lover of Bavarian cuisine! The suckling pig accompanied by a delicious dumpling and a delicious dark beer sauce was a delight. The taste was harmoniously coordinated. My personal tip for dessert: hot raspberries with ice cream. A delicious combination that rounded off the evening perfectly. The service was extremely friendly and attentive. Overall, a first class experience that I highly recommend.

We were there yesterday to celebrate a baptism. We had reserved the winter garden. The support beforehand was good. The food and drink was quickly received and served soon. There were no problems with forgotten orders or incorrect items. The service was always friendly but not intrusive. Thanks to direct access to the outdoor area, it was easy for the children and smokers present to get outside.

The review below is a few years old now, but nothing has changed. Our service was super friendly and competent, the goulash soup was excellent and plentiful, and the cheese dumplings and salad were delicious. All of this is available and uncomplicated in a beautiful atmosphere in the afternoon outside of normal times. Only recommended! Very tasty food in a hidden, beautiful beer garden. Basically a secret escape to switch off. Compared to before, it's no longer as hip and student-like with an after-work party, but there is a menu with fine delicacies, everything seems tidy, fresh and the employees are on their toes even when the shop is humming. Soon again, it was nice!

I celebrated my birthday there today with a small group and we were all completely satisfied. The service was quick, the food was delicious and the prices were reasonable. Will come back soon. P.S. I deducted a point after I took a closer look at the bill. Sorry, but I find it very cheeky to charge 90 cents for a little mayo with the schnitzel. Besides, this could have at least been pointed out.

Fried chicken is very tasty, the staff is very friendly. The food and drinks are brought quickly, special requests are no problem. Only parking spaces are not so easy to find - you have to look for them in the residential area in the area or just come by bike or on foot - then you can also enjoy the delicious beer

We went in winter, their winter garden was nice. Feels a bit off the grid of the busy streets in Munich, quite and peaceful. For a Bavarian place they had quite some Vegetarian and glutenfree options.

The food is really bad. We were charged €1.20 for the ketchup sachet. The waiter can't even grin. Never again. It's a shame the beer garden would be nice

It is really very pleasant and the service is very helpful and understanding, very, very commendable. The on-site playground is a small sandpit that provides a good activity for children for a short time. The portions are incredibly large and the price-performance ratio is pretty good.

VERY RUDE WAITER As has been mentioned here many times, we were also greeted with a derogatory insult when we left the restaurant. Tips must probably be at least two digits - NAUGHTY. The innkeeper probably doesn't have his shop under control...

The food is very good (mid to high price range). In summer you can sit nicely in the beer garden. However, the behavior of a particular waiter is completely inappropriate. Snarky comments are made several times regarding tips - in the past this waiter has also attracted negative attention in other situations. So a clear yes for the restaurant - but if you get to the waiter: Never, ever again!

Were there with a larger group during the free fair. I wanted the baked pollack, but not with potato and cucumber salad, but with boiled potatoes. Waitress statement: “They’re counted out.” With all due respect, that's pretty unusual. And I come from the catering industry myself. You have to keep that in mind. I then took the fried potatoes. Apparently not counted. The food itself and the ambience were good. But due to the lack of flexibility there are only 3 stars.
