⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ War zum ersten Mal im Gasthaus Weinbauer und komme auf jeden Fall wieder. Das Bier war wirklich das Beste, das ich seit Langem getrunken habe – einfach perfekt. Das Essen war insgesamt gut, aber das absolute Highlight war der Kaiserschmarren. Ganz ehrlich: So einen guten Kaiserschmarren habe ich noch nie gegessen. Perfekt fluffig, super Geschmack und genau richtig karamellisiert. Wenn ihr dort seid, müsst ihr den Kaiserschmarren unbedingt probieren. Absolute Empfehlung!

Eigentlich hatten wir unser Abendessen in einem anderen Lokal geplant, mussten kurzfristig umdisponieren und wurden nicht enttäuscht. Ein großes Dankeschön geht an den Service: 1. weil wir ganz unkompliziert einen Tisch für Zwei bekamen, obwohl das Lokal rappelvoll war. 2. weil trotz der großen Anzahl an Gästen jederzeit ein Lächeln auf den Gesichtern der Servicekräfte lag und sie es schafften immer aufmerksam zu sein. DANKE!!! Das Essen hat uns wirklich überzeugt: Ein Backhendl im Kürbiskernmantel - Ich habe es den ganzen Abend gefeiert - so saftig und schmackhaft war es. Beim Jungschweinebraten hat ganz am Ende nur ein Hauch Soße mehr auf dem Teller gefehlt. Die Knödel haben die Dunkelbiersoße einfach weggeatmet ;-) Das Bier war lecker - Was will man mehr? Wir kommen sehr gern wieder. Vielen Dank!

Normales Essen, genau wie zuhause. Zutaten usw. alles gut, macht Satt, kann man essen, aber nicht 70€ wert, dafür würde man einen Geschmack erwarten, den man nicht selbst kochen kann.

Der Obazda hat sehr seltsam geschmeckt, der Schweinsbraten mittelmäßig. Das kälteste Bier war das alkoholfreie, die Hellen vom Faß könnten ein paar Grad weniger vertragen. Service Top wie immer!

Tolles und authentisches Münchner Gasthaus mitten in Schwabing mit leckeren Speisen. Mein Favorit ist das Weinbauerschnitzel. Weil es so gut hier ist, besser reservieren.

Bestes Schnitzel in der Stadt! Alles ist wirklich top!

Das Schnitzel für 20€ Bestand zu 90% aus Panade und war innen drin nicht dicker als 1mm. Nachdem ich den Kellner (dunkle Haare, Brille) drauf angesprochen habe bekam ich zur Antwort „Das hat ein Schnitzel so an sich, du hast ja noch die Spätzle“

Die Pasta mit Trüffelschinken war mittelmäßig. Die Luft im Restaurant war extrem stickig und roch abgestanden. Der Kellner war aufdringlich und hielt sein Kartenlesegerät für Trinkgeld bereit.

Dieses Restaurant wurde uns von Einheimischen wärmstens empfohlen. Ich selbst bin nicht von hier und fand es furchtbar. Das Steak war unglaublich zäh, obwohl es perfekt gegrillt war. Die Spargelcremesuppe davor war okay, aber bei Weitem nicht so gut wie man sie heutzutage fast überall bekommt. Es gab einen knackigen Blattsalat. Das Bier war zwar trinkbar, aber nichts Besonderes. Wir haben auf ein Dessert verzichtet, da wir feststellten, dass alle guten Konditoreien da schon geschlossen hatten. Keine Empfehlung von mir, obwohl der Service freundlich und schnell war.

Leckeres Schnitzel mit Trüffel und Kartoffelsalat, dazu ein lokales Bier 👍. Reservierung empfohlen, da die Plätze begrenzt sind. Im Sommer gibt es Sitzplätze im Freien. Freundliches Personal.

Ein fantastisches bayerisches Restaurant! Das Essen war hervorragend, perfekt zubereitet und wurde schnell serviert. Der Service war tadellos und die Atmosphäre einfach traumhaft. Ich freue mich schon auf meinen nächsten Besuch. Unbedingt das Schnitzel und die Variante „Ludwig“ probieren!

Wir waren mit der Arbeit da, das Essen war guad und lecker die Portionen waren auch okay. Das Restaurant war sehr voll und daher sehr laut. Großes Manko leider die Getränke Versorgung man musste auf viel Glück hoffen, echt Schade wären gerne länger geblieben.

Sehr leckerer Kaiserschmarrn. Unbedingt vorbestellen bzw. Wartezeit von 1/2 h beachten. Ist aber jede Minute des Wartens wert.

Ich muss zu meiner Schande gestehen dass ich den Weinbauer als Münchner bisher nicht wahrgenommen habe. Inmitten von Touristenfallen ist der Weinbauer ein absoluter Geheimtipp! Eine total gemütliche Wirtschaft mit absolut fairen Preisen, einer super vielseitigen Karte und einer wahnsinnigen Qualität. Und weil das noch nicht reicht sind auch die Angestellten alle total nett, freundlich und unaufdringlich. Immer ein Besuch wert, zur Sicherheit sollte man reservieren!

Nach meiner Meinung eines der besten bayerischen Restaurants in München. Sowohl Vorspeise (Suppe), als auch Hauptgericht (Käsespätzle) und Nachtisch (Kaiserschmarrn) waren allesamt super. Es gibt relativ viel Auswahl und dennoch konzentriert sich das Restaurant auf bayerische und österreichische Küche. Die Kellner waren aufmerksam und äußerst freundlich. Gut gelegen ist das Restaurant obendrein. Klare Empfehlung!

Das,Essen ist einfach klasse. Ich liebe hier den Schweinebraten. Einfach top. Service top. Weiter so.

Waren heute zu zweit beim Essen. Urige Wirtschaft mit sehr gutem Essen und sehr freundlichem aufmerksamen Service. Preislich absolut ok, und die Portionen waren reichlich.

Wir konnten ohne Reservierung reingehen, aber es war sehr voll. Zum Glück wurde gerade ein Tisch frei, sodass wir sofort Platz nehmen konnten. Nachdem wir saßen, dauerte es eine Weile, bis unsere Bestellung aufgenommen wurde. Das Bier kam aber sofort und das Essen folgte kurz darauf. Insgesamt war das Essen fantastisch und das Bier erfrischend. Absolut empfehlenswert!

Das Essen war sehr lecker! Die Portion war riesig und den Preis absolut wert. Der Kaiserschmarrn war angeblich für zwei Personen gedacht, aber ich würde sagen, eine Portion hätte das ganze Dorf satt gemacht 😆

Typical Bavarian restaurant with excellent food! Portions are rather large, quality was fantastic and service very nice and super fast! Came with 2 small kids and a table in the corner with a bench plus a high chair was perfect! Cozy, Bavarian atmosphere.

A typical German restaurant where, depending on availability, you might even share a table, which makes it more authentic. The atmosphere and service were excellent. They offered us a menu and spoke to us in English, even though there was a German at our table. There were three of us: two Wiener schnitzels and one onion roast, with one drink each and a bottle of water. We also shared a dessert, which we didn't finish even though it was delicious (it was labeled for two people, but it was very large, so they packed it up for us to take away). The total came to €145, including the tip. Highly recommended.

The food was tasty but a "standard tourist portion". Everything seemed very hectic, so we just ate quickly, had half a drink, and then moved on.

Reservations pointless! We had two friends visiting from Northern Germany and wanted to spend an evening at a Bavarian inn. We reserved a table for four for 8:00 PM on the winery's reservation platform. When we arrived at 8:05 PM, we were assigned a table where two young men were already sitting, completely unaware that four of them were reserved. When I asked—admittedly a bit annoyed—if we could have the empty table opposite, I was told that wasn't possible, as it was also reserved, and it's not customary in an inn to move guests (the two men at our reserved table). We then sat down at the assigned table, whereupon the two men got up to find another seat, pointing out that it was too small for them and that we needed more space to eat. We explained to them that they didn't have to move, but they wanted to. A server then came over and announced that we were NOT being served, which we didn't really appreciate because of the noise. When we wanted to order after a while, the server explained that the person serving us was offended and that because of my annoyance, we wouldn't be served. In short: We left around 8:30 p.m., and the table across the hall was still empty! Such sniveling, amateurish behavior—we could do without it! Our reservation was also subsequently canceled! Dear Weinbauer staff, please stop making reservations if you can't do it and have to behave like this!

Sorry, I usually write positive reviews, but this was unsatisfying. First, the good: friendly, very quick service, very good potato dumplings, a very nice crust on the roast pork, and a delicious beer sauce. Three stars for that. Unfortunately, however, there's also the somewhat tough roast (aren't you always inside as a chef), bread dumplings that were much too firm (undercooked?) and tasted like Maggi, and a completely boring coleslaw with no flair whatsoever (and no bacon). For €17.90, that doesn't deserve more than three stars. I drove into the city specifically to have Bavarian food after a business meeting, but that was disappointing. That rarely happens in Munich. Roast pork is actually always very good. PS: I also mentioned to the restaurant that the roast pork and dumplings were tough. Only if there's no response will I write it as a review here.

A classic brewery atmosphere and excellent service! Three of us were lucky enough to get a seat without a reservation. Prices were reasonable, typical for Munich, but so were the portions! The quality of the food was truly outstanding, too!

Lovely, rustic restaurant, generous portions, attentive staff, and delicious food. The Kässpatzn (cheese spaetzle) came with a small side salad, which isn't always a given these days and I think is great.

Classic Bavarian style food with an expensive menu. The schnitzel was DELICIOUS - the mustard in the crust was different than others we tried while in Munich in the best way. Schnitzel lovers will get their money's worth. Good Bavarian food for true Munich residents and beyond. Friendly, attentive service. I enjoyed excellent truffle spaetzle with a very well-balanced side salad (with radishes! 👏), and my companion was very happy with the schnitzel. Reservations required! We'd be happy to return 😊

I went out to dinner with my boyfriend and we were actually enjoying the restaurant. The food was nice, and the place seemed authentic, although quite noisy. However, the waiter decided (despite not having shown any special attention to us) to complain about us not leaving a tip when paying by card. The kind of bullying we were subjected to effectively made us not want to leave any tip in cash. Therefore, it’s a place we won’t be returning to.

Super delicious food, the service was more than excellent. We went there spontaneously and got a seat. That's not a given, as it's very busy. So it's best to make a reservation. Everything was simply perfect, thank you for the lovely evening with you.

Absolutely a must-visit! Thesis: If you studied in Munich and haven't eaten at Weinbauer, you haven't studied in Munich! The standard line from the waiter if you arrive late and order something: "It's out!" But if you arrive on time and get what you ordered, you won't be disappointed.

Amazing quality of food and very nice service

The food is very good, with their signature schnitzel having a unique approach of infusing the mustard flavours into the breading itself, and their potato salad including some cucumber slides for a nice texture balance. I'd also wanted to buy a pretzel, but the waitress kindly gave me one for free - the staff were so helpful, friendly, and attentive throughout the entire meal!

I have literally only ever written one other review. But the Kaiserschmarrn was so magical here that I couldn’t NOT write a review! The main dishes were pretty good and worth it but the Kaiserschmarrn is A MUST!! Pro tip - get the Steirer Eis (vanilla ice cream Austrian style with toasted pumpkin seed oil - a dream in itself!) and eat them together. Most certainly the best Kaiserschmarrn I’ve ever eaten!!

Everything was truly delicious... and freshly prepared. The team was incredibly friendly; we were delighted. It's just a few steps from Leopoldstrasse, where tourist prices are charged. Just go to a place where the locals meet and feast. We'll be back... Keep up the good work!

Ridiculous good Kaiserschnitzel, nice beers!

Since the Weinbauer is known among our local relatives and friends for its affordable, good food, we reserved a table for four online. We were assigned a table in the back, dark, musty, and cramped alcove. The owner wasn't willing to discuss the matter, even though the restaurant had plenty of free tables at 6 p.m. We were fobbed off with bland, indifferent remarks like, "other guests had made reservations earlier," even though our reservation had been made 10 days in advance. We left the Weinbauer and looked for a restaurant with good service and food.

In Berlin, I was told that the Germans in Munich are cold. I felt that more towards Old Town; however, i really was craving some schnitzel before I left the country. I picked this one since it was close to the metro and wow was it an eye changer. First, when I was in Old Town, I was told there was no room for service anywhere. When I went to this place, it was packed, but the waiter said sorry and I said it’s okay I can wait, but she looked worried and said it would take 10-15mins(she was a great hostess), I confirmed it was okay and as soon as the table was available she was right there. The atmosphere was cheerful, the people next to us greeted us nicely. Overall, this was probably the best place I was in during my stay in Germany. I did end up getting schnitzel and it had a delicious taste. I drank two beers and was tempted to eat dessert, but was way too full. This place is a real southern German restaurant that may be the same as the ones in Old Town but it is 100x worth it, whoever wants real German hospitality, come here.

Lovely place for our last night in town. The staff were welcoming as we walked in just before the kitchen closed. They remained attentive but also let us enjoy our meal without feeling rushed. All of the dishes were good.

I'm a very loyal Weinbauer visitor, but I have to say I'm a bit disappointed that you pay almost €5 for a Willi... Is that really necessary? (That's why I only gave it one star for the ambiance)

We went for dinner and the taste and food was impeccable!!

The Kaiserschmarrn was a considerable size, enough for at least two people. It tasted very good. On the other hand, the service unfortunately left a lot to be desired. After being assigned a time-limited table, we waited over 40 minutes for our food and then had 25 minutes to eat. Shortly before the time was up, we were asked to pay and indirectly ordered to leave the restaurant.

This is our second visit and we ordered the currywurst and apple fritters again. The food here is still incredibly good in a lovely setting. The prices are still reasonable for Munich.

Very nice traditional bavarian food in a nice central location that isnt packed with tourists.

It's quite crowded, warm, stuffy, and loud. The service was genuinely friendly and efficient. Probably average value for money for Munich Schwabing, but the rent won't be cheap here. The roast pork was very good and served with a crackling. Unfortunately, both dumplings weren't as good as the roast. I'm guessing it's a catering product, or the chef had a really bad day making dumplings. Reservations are definitely recommended.

I've been having a great evening meal here for many years. But yesterday, the entire meal was of poor quality: bad asparagus, unrecognizable schnitzel, watery potatoes, and undercooked fish. Service was friendly and prompt, as always.

Super tasty food at reasonable prices, super nice staff. We hadn't made a reservation (which you should definitely do) but still got a seat because the nice waiter assigned us a table reserved for a certain time later. When it's full, the noise level is very high, but the rustic ambience, the delicious food and the friendly staff make it worth stopping by.

The Gasthaus Weinbauer is a really good guesthouse, with a great ambience and excellent food! The service is very courteous and you immediately feel at home! The onion roast is highly recommended!
