A wonderful original Bavarian inn with Bavarian and other delicacies, excellent beer and wine. There was also room music. Had soup and schnitzel and roast venison. Fantastic. Very good pork crust roast with bacon cabbage and bread or potato dumplings. Still relatively inexpensive. Quietly located on Winzererstrasse and easy to reach.

Inconspicuous restaurant located in a residential area at the Olympic Park. The food was very good and you felt well looked after.

The two of us were spontaneously there on Saturday afternoon without a reservation and got a table relatively quickly despite the restaurant being full. The waiters and waitresses try their hardest and run from A to B and do their best, but unfortunately we had to wait about an hour for the food, which was also really small portions for the price. Example: pork knuckle: as a side dish there was a (!) small dumpling and watery, thin sauce, as well as a tiny portion of sauerkraut (see photo). My companion's schnitzel with fries was only served with ketchup and mayo upon request, which we got ourselves after a long wait. Furthermore, the second round of drinks was completely forgotten. If you looked around, most of the guests felt the same way, especially in the outdoor area. As already mentioned, the service staff try their best and try everything, but are obviously overwhelmed or understaffed. It's a shame.

Unfortunately we didn't have a good day. The food was simple and good as was the service. If everything had taken place in a somewhat normal time, then there would be no criticism from me. I'm a restaurateur myself and I just want to criticize one thing here. If you notice that the ship is sinking, you should not take any more passengers on board for a short while until everything is organized again. Maybe there was a surprising crowd due to the Coldplay concert, but if that's not possible then just make a stop for new guests until it's possible to have normal, good service and cuisine again. An unsatisfied team and guests are not good and that doesn't make up for the great sales in the long term.

Grab a quick bite to eat before the Coldplay concert. No chance in the outdoor seating, we got the last seats inside. Service, food and everything else was TOP. My utmost respect to the guys behind the counter. You deserve an extra tip. 👍👍👍

Unfortunately, we can neither understand nor understand the many good reviews. We wanted to spontaneously have lunch in this restaurant without a reservation and fortify ourselves for the upcoming Taylor Swift concert. We were initially greeted by a very unfriendly waiter (black hair tied in a braid, full beard, glasses). After we told this waiter our request, we pointed to a table at the far corner with a sigh. There was no bringing to the table. Since the chairs and the table were still wet, they could not be used yet. And then we waited until someone finally came, cleaned the table and handed us the drinks and menu. And we waited, and waited, and were just left standing there by this unfriendly gentleman. There were several eye contacts and hand signals, but no reaction was shown. After waiting 15 minutes and still no one came, we quickly left. Was it because we appeared as a young couple, spoke standard German and came across as perhaps not financially strong? Very disrespectful, this should be one of the reasons! We will definitely avoid this restaurant in Munich in the future, even though we travel to Munich several times a year and the city itself is very beautiful. Even waiters can have a bad day, but such disrespectful behavior is unacceptable!

If I could give more stars I would. The service was simply great. Very friendly, tried very hard to please all guests, despite the heat yesterday! The food was very, very good and no long waiting times. Everything was very clean and tidy. When we are in Munich again, we will definitely come back. Thank you for this lovely experience.

“Really Bavarian,” I would say as a Rhinelander. Delicious hearty food. Very tasty and real. Was the semel dumpling homemade? I guess so. The crusty roast was definitely a hit. The staff.....super nice and accommodating. The prices are affordable in my opinion. None of the meals were at 20 euros. We will come here again. However, parking spaces are difficult to come by.

The service is very good! Yesterday I ordered a salad because I was passing by on business. When it was served, I realized that I didn’t have time to eat it, so I asked the waiter to save it, and of course I paid for it💰. After finishing my work, I returned to the restaurant. The kitchen warmed up the cheese for me👍. The service was really good!

Unfortunately, I have to say that a lot went wrong during our visit. I ordered roulade with red cabbage as it was on my menu, unfortunately only the roulade with dumpling arrived. I was then told that it wasn't on the map, but after checking it was discovered that it was on the map. The kitchen just ran out of red cabbage. Unfortunately for me it was a big disappointment because the sauce on the roulade wasn't particularly tasty either. (More reminiscent of sauerbraten sauce) I also ordered a soup, but unfortunately it was completely lost. Unfortunately there isn't much choice for children here either. (Just dumplings with sauce)

Dined in. We walked from Olympia Park and it was a beautiful time. Easy street parking nearby. Food was amazing. It was busy, so server was very nice but they seemed understaffed. Beautiful terrace and inside decor was cozy. Seat cushions were a very nice touch. Worth visiting if in the area!

By far the best meal we have had in Germany. Asparagus everything and I had the cream soup. The chocolate dessert was a molten lava cake with berries and whip cream. We had five different meals and everyone was completely taken with the quality presented.

We celebrated my daughter's confirmation here. 20 people Everything worked out wonderfully. It was beautifully decorated. The food tasted very good and came out of the kitchen quickly so we could eat together. Very attentive staff. We were even allowed to take our own cake with us. Special requests for food (vegetarian and children) were also no problem The toilets can be reached at ground level, which was very welcomed by our guests. They are also modern and clean. I can highly recommend this restaurant for a family celebration.

Good home-style Bavarian cuisine, as you would expect.

Went to the Harry Potter exhibition on opening day today. Afterwards we wanted to go out for something to eat. At home in Leipzig I had already used maps to see which restaurants had the best reviews in Munich. The chosen one was the Hofbräu am Oberwiesenfeld :) and we were very impressed. The service was funny and friendly… I had roast suckling pig with cabbage and dumplings. For my wife, roast veal and spazzle... empty plates spoke for themselves. Ambiance... we sat outside but it's still a side street with a small outdoor area and not a huge beer garden. Anyway… food was very tasty… service was very nice… thumbs up :).

The Käsespätzle was tasty, I recommend the Bavarian Platte if you are really hungry and love Bavarian food.

After visiting the establishments in the center, for us this place is simply paradise. The prices are lower, the food is much tastier, and the portions are obscenely large. Don't visit the center, go straight here.

A very cozy Bavarian restaurant with delicious cuisine, especially if you want Bavarian food. Since I have eaten something there several times, I can say the salad dressing was super tasty with fine oil, the roast pork was excellent and I highly recommend the sweet dishes, especially the Kaiserschmarrn! Every first Monday of the month and every third week Monday of the month an accordion player or group plays comfortably. Very nice relaxed atmosphere. As rickshaw drivers, we enjoy coming here and feel very comfortable! Especially, of course, when we have worked hard at the Tollwood or at artists and concerts in the Olympic Park and still need a snack. If you see one of the beautiful vehicles on site, just ask the landlord and we will be happy to drive you home, of course in the surrounding area. The food was super delicious. The Kaiserschmarrn in particular was a dream. The portions are so large that you should have a lot of appetite and enjoy eating. By the way, they were very family friendly and provided my son with crayons. Thank you for everything.

We went to the Hofbräu for the first time yesterday on a recommendation! There is light and shadow, with the light predominating Service very friendly and fast! The food was tasty, but with some drawbacks: with a Munich Sauerbraten for 19.90 and given the standards that this economy certainly sets for itself, you can certainly expect a natural sauce! That wasn't offered. Unfortunately! Furthermore, the salad was moderately dressed! Veal meatballs Alright! Unfortunately there was a sauce About the food. Not everyone likes it especially since potato salad was included as a side dish! The Kaiserschmarrn was excellent. Price: Performance is overall at the Upper limit! You should rethink some things given the demands you certainly have!

Delicious food at reasonable prices in a Bavarian atmosphere

A cozy Bavarian restaurant. One of the few that are left (in Munich). Where else can you be greeted personally by the boss? Good selection of dishes with a changing daily and special menu (e.g. dishes with chanterelles). For children you can order small portions or choose from the children's menu. The taste was (good to) very good and the portion size was just right. The waitresses (male/female) are all very friendly and attentive. A clear recommendation. It makes sense to reserve as it is always busy.

We dined here on a Sunday evening. Despite the full tables, we were welcomed straight away and a place was found for us as we were there without a reservation. The employees were very friendly and attentive. The menu is a bit smaller, but it is still difficult to decide between the selected dishes. The drinks came within a few minutes. We waited a little longer for the food, but that's no surprise given how busy it was and how freshly prepared it was. (please don't misunderstand, we didn't wait for hours ;)) We ate the snack and the Jägerschnitzel and shared a Kaiserschmarrn for dessert. Everything tasted excellent, so we left the restaurant more than full. It is also definitely cozier and quieter than the "original" Hofbräuhaus in the old town. We will definitely come here again when we are in Munich or the surrounding area! But we will definitely make a reservation! :)

Roast pork crust very juicy and tasty, the dumplings are okay. Kaiserschmarrn was heavenly delicious. Service attentive and courteous, nice people. Other dishes at the table only had positive reactions. (Bavarian platter, Wiener Schnitzel) Visually rustic, nice chandelier above... but the ambience could still be improved. All in all a lovely evening, delicious and leaving with a full stomach. We'll come back when our stomach growls :-) Thank you

Come try the Kaiserchmarrn in Munich. It was very good, spectacular!!!! The pity is that the plate is big and I couldn't try more things. Highly recommended place, very good treatment.

The Hofbräu Oberwiesenfeld is a very cozy restaurant with Bavarian flair. People like to linger a little longer after eating; the desserts are also a good reason. We have always been satisfied guests for many years, except for one family member who eats a vegan diet. I was absolutely thrilled with the fish menu on Ash Wednesday. The baked carp and side dishes were not only a feast for the eyes, it was the best fish I have ever eaten and I am quite old.

A rustic inn. The service is friendly and very quick. You feel comfortable there. As for the food: I have rarely had a worse Jägerschnitzel. The meat and hunter's sauce were definitely frozen or finished products from the bottom drawer. The fries probably came from the baking tray. That was scary. Otherwise a nice shop.

I'm one of those spontaneous eaters. So far we have been here 4 times as a couple in the evening and on different days of the week. Without a reservation, everything was done to ensure we got a place. Thanks for that. It is therefore advisable to reserve in advance if you don't always want to have so much skill and especially if there are several of you. The service is really outstanding. Always very friendly and attentive, so you feel comfortable as a guest. The food tastes excellent, whether schnitzel, roast pork or Kaiserschmarren, to name just a few highlights. Due to the relatively large selection of dishes, there is something for everyone. We didn't have to wait very long and got our Bavarian platter and the mayor's piece of grass-fed beef cooked sous-vide. The food was very tasty. As is often the case after eating, the intestines felt tight afterwards and the toilet was outstanding with 5 stars. Very clean and modern and still fits in with the style of the rest of the restaurant. Soap, hand sanitizer and toilet paper available. Overall, we were very satisfied with the entire stay and would be happy to come back on a future trip to the Bavarian capital of Munich.

Rustikales Wirtshaus mit gutem Preis Leistungsverhältnis. Haben hier kurzfristig mit einer größeren Runde an Kollegen aus dem Ausland einen Tisch bekommen, und alle waren sehr zufrieden mit dem Essen und Getränken.
