Wir waren während unseres Urlaubs mehrfach hier essen und es war jedesmal spitzenmäßig. Der freundliche Service und das sehr leckere Essen - einfach klasse. Vielen Dank an das ganze Team.

Sind den Bewertungen gefolgt und wurden nicht enttäuscht. Essen geschmacklich gut, das Würzen ist ausbaufähig. Preis/ Leistung passt auch. Bedienung freundlich aber muss noch etwas lernen.

Nice atmosphere. Large selection of German foods. Friendly staff. The prices seemed good as well. It was exactly what I wanted!

We were late, but were still warmly welcomed and treated to huge portions of classic Bavarian home cooking at a fair price 😃

We ate there twice during our vacation. The food was very tasty, the schnitzel was tender, the spaetzle was great and the sour cream with the baked potato was really fantastic. The only point of criticism is the service, which took a lot of time both times before you could place your order. It should also be mentioned that all dishes can also be ordered in small portions. I think it's a good idea if you're not that hungry. The outdoor area is particularly beautifully designed.

Very friendly, fast and courteous service. We also look after the four-legged friend. The food came quickly and tasted excellent. The ambience suits German cuisine. A clear recommendation for all Garmisch holidaymakers

Good food. The schnitzel with mushroom cream sauce is a great choice. Their in house brown/dark beer is good too, slight notes of caramel. The other dishes the group had received good reviews too. Be aware that the cheese spätzle really needs some pepper otherwise it'll seem bland.

The food tasted really good, it was really cold and exactly how it should be. The only downside was that they had less staff. But the restaurant would be run by two professionals. They did their best to ensure that everyone ate and got drinks on time. Kind regards to the Wolpertinger team, we saw everything, how hard they worked. We would thank you for that.

The outside and inside areas are very nicely decorated. The food came very quickly despite a larger group of 10 people. The portions are very fair for the price, you definitely have to be hungry. I had a wild mushroom steak, I would have liked the sauce to have tasted more like mushroom, but that's my personal opinion. The service was very nice and accommodating.

Super pleasant atmosphere. Had dinner here with my family. Very child friendly. Staff super nice and infectiously happy 😂 The food, the portions and the price convinced me to eat here again and recommend it to others.

If you are in Garmisch, you should stop by the Wolpertinger. But be hungry, the portions are not for seniors 😂😜. But despite the large portion, the quality is great 👍🏼. The beer liqueur knows its way to good food. Speaking of which, the dark beer is a must-have but not from a thimble, but from a Moẞ mug 😉🍺. - P.S. Were here again today, one thing is for sure 😉. We would eat here again tomorrow if we weren't going home 😉. Definitely eat the skewer 😋🤤! Maybe we'll come to Garmisch again and then we'll eat at Wolpertinger again 😋🍺. Food was mostly good. Salad with goat cheese is not recommended. Dessert apple cake thick dough and apple strudel looks collapsed, but both were very tasty. The vanilla sauce and cream were way too much, but it's all a matter of taste. The service was not an expert, but tried hard nonetheless. We might have ordered more to drink, but the service was far too rare. Otherwise good and recommended.

Unfortunately we didn’t like anything.. The waiter tried his best but he alone served almost the entire restaurant, so it took a while to make and then get the order. The beer was average and the steak was hard and tasteless. Don’t recommend.

Admittedly, I do not have a large sample size of local restaurants to compare to. I am here on holiday with my family. With that said, the staff are amazing. The food is wonderful. The atmosphere is great. The portions are very large, if you leave here hungry, that's your own fault. The owner stopped to chat and have a drink with us, which we enjoyed immensely. He is a sincere and likable guy who made us feel very welcome.

The cheese spaetzle were by far the tastiest cheese spaetzle I have eaten in my life. The mineral water was also refreshing. I can only recommend it, it's a great restaurant and I would eat there again. The conditions are all very, very nice and friendly.

First the good: the service was very attentive and friendly. We got a seat quickly and it wasn't overcrowded. Also positive: The food came very quickly, if not too quickly...The ambience seems rustic, but "newly" furnished, not classic Bavarian. And that brings us to the negative: we once had cheese spaetzle and the schnitzel steaks with fried potatoes and braised onions. Unfortunately the fried potatoes were too salty and the cheese spaetzle lacked flavor and salt and everything. The braised onions advertised were only available homeopathically. As the quick preparation suggested, the food seemed rather industrially produced, albeit lovingly prepared. The portions were very large, unfortunately at the expense of the taste. Conclusion: Despite the nice atmosphere and friendly service, the food was below average. The good overall rating probably comes about because, according to another review, negative reviews are deleted. (By the way, we can prove that we were here!!) I hope I was able to help with this review.

Mega friendly service, fast service and very tasty food. Portions are large. Price-performance is completely fine. Well attended. Sometimes it is advantageous to reserve seats in advance.

Good local food & super nice service!

Unfortunately we had a bad experience while visiting this restaurant. The waitstaff said they 'forgot about us' several times. Our plates were not cleared after eating. To place my orders for entrees and desserts I had to walk to the bar. It was a shame as we all enjoyed our food. We would've ordered more if it had not taken nearly 2 hours to receive a main course and simple ice cream desserts for the kids.

We were in Garmisch for 5 days and after our first visit to the Wolpertinger restaurant we definitely had to go there a second time. We were absolutely thrilled with everything, great service, the food was excellent and the price-performance ratio was also great. 5 stars and none less!

Service was great, even though the Wolpertinger was very full. Food very plentiful and very good. Bavarian rustic atmosphere.

It looks inconspicuous from the outside. But it is a top address in Garmisch. The food and service were great, and the home-brewed beer was also delicious. Had the sauerbraten and cheese spaetzle and were absolutely thrilled. We had our dog with us and that wasn't a problem. The greatest praise you can give is the promise that you will definitely return to the Wolpertinger on your next visit to Garmisch. See you soon!

The inn and the hosts were simply great. Get a seat without a reservation. Reservation is recommended. It is very well attended. The food was very tasty and we felt really comfortable. Keep it up...

Great restaurant - food, service and prices very good!

When we arrived after the kitchen closed (9 p.m.), we were still kindly provided with food. Employees were super friendly. Food was ready very quickly and delicious. I can only recommend!

Great restaurant. 5 people. Without reservation. After a bit of a wait, a table was set up for us. The menu has a lot to choose from. The food came very quickly and was surprisingly tasty and appetizing. There was an extra page in the card for the children. We felt very comfortable. Thank you 🙏🏼 gladly again!!!

We had dinner three times, absolutely top, the quality of the food was very good, very large portions at normal prices, beautifully prepared and served by nice staff. We were very satisfied and can only recommend it.

Delicious meal, Munich schnitzel with cheese spaetzle, naturally cloudy Zwickel!! This is what it tastes like in Bavaria! We'll definitely be back soon!

The food (cheese spaetzle) was great and fresh. The salad was also wonderful! The service is top. I liked that very much.

What a special place! We went here for my birthday and were able to sit outside in the back and enjoy the weather. It is clearly popular with locals and travelers. They were so kind to us and our children, bringing special kids meals and sweets at the end. Thank you for a special night!

Love this restaurant. Most delicious meals. Every single dish is super delicious. They are kind and very friendly to non-German visitors. Their recommendations are the best food. Their 2 most popular schnopps...apricot and plum are the best ever!!!! Highly recommend this place if you are ever in Garmisch.

Yesterday we were in this economy for the first time. The dining room is nicely and rustically furnished, the service was very friendly and attentive, and you felt welcome. Quantitatively, the food was definitely above average. The excessively large portions of meat didn't convince us in terms of taste. The main thing that bothered me about my "Böff la Motte" was that the clove flavor dominated everything else. I couldn't eat the red cabbage at all because the cloves were used too generously. But if you particularly value large portions, you will definitely leave here satisfied.

Very traditional cuisine. Simple but nicely decorated. I ordered a dish called Fuhre Mist. Unfortunately the meat was completely cooked through and therefore too dry. But we were totally thrilled with Böfflamott and our own Wolpertinger Fest Export :) Wolpertinger also scores with its friendly service!

Went here twice! Pork schnitzel was thick but juicy and full of flavour! The one with the mushroom sauce and spätzle was fantastic! The cordon bleu was also very tasty!

Unfortunately we had a day where things went haywire in the restaurant, the food came before the drinks. But the food was served damn quickly. Almost as fast as at the restaurant with the big golden M. The food was tasty but it wasn't outstanding, they don't have real schnitzel there but breaded pork steak, but that's what it says on the menu. The beer was good. Maybe we just had a bad day, but this was very disappointing given the many good reviews.

You first have to travel from Sindelfingen to eat the very best roast turkey. We were super satisfied and will definitely come back here to eat on our next visit. The meat was super tender and fell apart when pierced with a fork. The sauce was a dream, everything was perfect. The service was very friendly and accommodating. Thank you for the schnapps at the end.

Wir fanden die Portionen riesig und es war sehr lecker, Personal war freundlich, Preis-Leistung sehr gut. Nun noch was zu mir als Frau. Ich verstehe die anderen Bewertungen nicht, wer zum Lachen in den Keller geht, möge dort auch bleiben. Die Schilder bzw. Holztafeln sind lustig gemeint. Das mein Mann mich beim Finanzamt absetzen will, finde ich ein fairer Versuch, dumm nur, dass ich unsere Steuererklärung mache. Es ist schade, dass Frauen sich eher über so etwas definieren, als tatsächlich was gegen Frauenbenachteiligung zu tun.

Great place to enjoy some traditional Bavarian food - we were visiting from the UK and wanted to “taste” Germany and this did not disappoint - atmosphere was lovely, staff helpful and happy!! Partner had the “cart” of food and I had the pork on a spoon, both very tasty and filling. Would have had a 5 but ordered walnut and brittle ice cream and it came without brittle so basically 6euro for ice cream - which was nice albeit.

The ambience is a matter of taste, a bit too “dark” for us. Otherwise everything was great! Fast, courteous service, huge portions, very tasty!
