Excellent Bavarian cuisine at fair prices. Very friendly and attentive staff! I can easily recommend it!

Unfortunately, the quality of the food has declined considerably. The fried potatoes have been kept warm for hours and taste like rubber soles. The service is very friendly and attentive. We won't be going back.

We recently visited Wolpertinger as a group of 14 persons attending a workshop in Garmisch. The experience was outstanding. The beer selection was exceptional and the food was both delicious and clearly prepared with great care. Portion sizes were generous my steak, in particular, was excellent and more than sufficient. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting the area.

Upon arrival, we were kindly informed that it might take a little longer due to the crowds – but we didn't notice! The team did everything they could to serve us quickly and with the best possible service. The fantastic waitress deserves special mention: professional, warm, and always attentive. You immediately notice that real passion and joy in their work are evident here. The food was an absolute delight – fresh, delicious, and lovingly prepared. The portions are huge, so everyone will definitely be satisfied! The selection of food and drinks also leaves nothing to be desired, and the atmosphere in the inn is simply relaxing. I was absolutely thrilled by this Bavarian restaurant! It's not only authentic, but also very cozy and lovingly decorated. The decorations, the tables, the chairs, the stylish glasses, and even the menu—everything is designed with attention to detail! The selection of dishes is very large, so there's truly something for everyone. The dishes are beautifully presented, and the portions are more than generous. The food is absolutely delicious! There's also a really wide selection of drinks (many of which I haven't seen or tried anywhere else). The service is also excellent: attentive, warm, and very friendly. A big thank you to the entire team for the authentic Bavarian atmosphere and an unforgettable culinary experience! I felt very comfortable here and would gladly come back!

We were warmly welcomed without waiting and were given a table straight away. We felt very comfortable in the restaurant itself. The waitresses were very friendly and accommodating - we didn't have to wait long for our food and drinks. Even during the meal we kept asking if everything was okay. The food (Münchner Schnitzel & Brauhaus-Schnitzel) was excellent and the portions were more than sufficient. The dessert (apple strudel) was also very tasty. Conclusion: The restaurant is definitely worth a visit; Great value for money!

We ate at Wolpertinger on Saturday, every dish we ordered was extremely tasty.

Wir hatten reserviert und wurden auch gleich an den Tisch geführt. Dann realisierten wir, dass im voll besetzten Lokal fast alle Tische entweder nichts oder nur Getränke auf dem Tisch hatten und warteten. Der einzige Kellner musste nicht nur Bestellungen aufnehmen, Essen und Getränke auftragen, Rechnungen ausstellen und kassieren, sondern auch noch den Getränkeausschank übernehmen. Entsprechend lange warteten alle. Nachdem sich lange niemand um uns kümmerte und aufgrund der zu erwartenden langen Wartezeit gingen wir dann ohne etwas bestellt zu haben.

Were there because of the good reviews. We expected typical Bavarian food but it was more like semi-Bavarian. Several schnitzels to choose from but no normal Viennese schnitzel. More like impulses. But it wasn't food from a 4.7 star restaurant. But service was very friendly!

Don't understand the good reviews. We were looking forward to Bavarian specialties. The menu is anything but Bavarian. Currywurst, nuggets??? Portions are large and reasonably priced. But that's not Bavarian food.

From our point of view, the recessions are completely incomprehensible! The poor service is only trumped by the even worse food. Salad from the bag, ready-made sauces, dry pre-made “schnitzels”. The only positive things are the large portions and the beer.

Food and service simply outstanding. You can spontaneously reserve the last available table after a friendly phone call. There were five of us and everyone was very pleased with their food. An additional highlight was the more than friendly service with digestive schnapps on the house :) you'll be happy to come back!

Excellent experience. We were there right at 5pm after a long morning and no stop for lunch, so we were really hungry. Service was fast for us and everyone who came in after us. I had two breaded pork chops with mushroom cognac gravy, excellent and spaetzle. Had to take half away. Seasoned perfectly.

Yesterday (July 24th, 2020) we reserved a table for 6 people at 6:30 p.m. and were warmly welcomed! Everything was perfect and the food was great! Fresh, hot, tasty... and plentiful :-) The load of crap was great, the BackHend'l with fries, the turkey skewer with fried potatoes and salad and the 'children's' burger were also found to be delicious. If we are in Garmisch again, we would be happy to stop by again... And when the boss brought the D ’ö’ del to the table ;-) ... find out for yourself :-))

Nice atmosphere, super friendly staff and food was delicious! We were a group of 11 and we were all very positive and enthusiastic.

Showing up without a reservation and with a dog was no problem at all, and water was immediately provided for the dog. The decor is appropriate and creates a pleasant atmosphere. The food was delicious, and small special requests for side dishes were easily accommodated. The dishes were brought within 15 minutes at the most. The portions are huge. The main course with a side salad as a starter was so large that unfortunately there was no room for dessert. Given the size of the portions, the price is more than reasonable. The service was excellent. Although the restaurant was busy, we never went without service. Good food, relaxed and pleasant atmosphere, top service, good value for money. Highly recommended!!! You should bring some cash, though. Card payments are accepted, but tips are only accepted in cash. Thank you for the lovely dinner

Really good food with large portions, and friendly staff. The Münchner Schnitzel is great, though definitely a fair amount of horseradish in it- not that I am complaining as it was delicious.

We ate here twice in March. Good service, good food and very large portions. So really big portions for a fair price. I wouldn't recommend beef steaks, they only have rump steak and they are pretty dry. But you get very good pork steak. Everything was very fresh and delicious. Apple strudel is also very good.

Quaint restaurant with cozy furnishings. The hospitality is immense and the waiter was brilliant that evening with his mix of wit and cheek and really captured the mood of our group. The food and drinks came really quickly. It was also very tasty for everyone and the portion size was immense. Afterwards there was a schnapps on the house. A lovely evening where you could feel comfortable in the Wolpertinger.

Schlechter empfang. Kaputtes Glas gebracht, bei der Beanstandung kommentarlos weggebracht ohne Entschuldigung. Das gewählte Gericht gab es nicht mehr, man wurde aber erst nach mehreren Minuten der Bestellung darauf hingewiesen. Menge des Essens war viel, aber die Qualität hat nicht überzeugt.

Bad reception. Broken glass was brought in, when the complaint was made it was taken away without comment and no apology. The chosen dish was no longer available, but it was only pointed out after several minutes of ordering. The amount of food was a lot, but the quality wasn't convincing.

I don't understand the people who rated the food as good or even very good. It is pure frozen goods. Nothing is freshly cooked there. The service was nice and the ambience is ok.

Wij zijn hier in 2018 wezen eten en nu in 2025 weer (2x geweest). Nog steeds dik in orde! Veel keuze op de menukaart maar ook vooral veel & goed eten! Ook speciale kindermenu’s op de kaart. En de prijs is prima in vergelijking met andere restaurants waar je soms echt meer moet betalen. De wat oudere man (wellicht de eigenaar?) is leuk met kinderen. Wat ons betreft het beste restaurant in Garmisch! Wij komen zeker weer!

This evening we were at Wolpertinger for the first time....The staff is very, very friendly.....I ordered a rump steak, which was very tough and not properly fried. My dish was immediately replaced and we were given a free Digistiv and my dessert was also on the house 👍so you can't get any more customer friendly 👍great! Highly recommended...we would love to come back 😃

Had something to eat here late at night. Had the Böfflamott and the rump steak with pepper sauce, both were really outstanding. Otherwise very lovingly furnished restaurant, very clean and cheerful atmosphere among the guests and employees. Was the perfect choice after a tiring day of hiking. Anyone who is in the area should stop by.

I was on holiday in Garmisch with my boyfriend and luckily discovered this wonderful restaurant. There are thirsty Wolpertiners lurking everywhere who secretly want to drink your beer empty. We received a very friendly welcome. The drinks and food were prepared/served quickly. The food is absolute madness. I have rarely eaten so well! A big compliment to the kitchen. We only went to this restaurant for the rest of our vacation. The people in service are friendly and kind-hearted people!♥️ It won't be long before we book our next holiday in Garmisch and eat at Wolpertinger again!

Great restaurant! Wolpertinger has a great atmosphere and the food is simply great. Every dish was a delight, and the desserts – simply heavenly. The service is great, the staff is super nice and attentive. You feel really comfortable here, regardless of whether you come with friends or as a couple. I'll definitely be back!

Delicious Bavarian food. Good selection and large portions. Unfortunately our food didn't arrive at the same time because something went wrong in the service. Still 5 stars because we apologized several times and we got schnapps and dessert on the house. Mistakes happen to everyone. The super nice and funny service made everything right again and we had a great evening with good food. Anyone who wants to eat good Bavarian food and is very hungry is definitely in the right place here. We would love to come back 😊

Perfect meal. The portions are more than adequate. I won't reveal any more. Really tasty and the people are nice, everything fits. A little tip, even if it's hard, look at the customers' empty glasses - you can make more money. The boss should be a good example go ahead.

Absolutely insane! Rarely have I eaten something so delicious. We were greeted with a shot straight away and the service was generally great. Anyone who is in Garmisch and doesn't eat here is either crazy or takes in liquid food through a bag on their stomach.

Reservations went smoothly and we were greeted in a friendly manner. The staff in the restaurant were also very friendly and the waiter at our table seemed like he was enjoying his job. The food was at our table quickly and it was also very tasty. Ambiance seemed very cozy and inviting. It wasn't too loud and you could still have a good conversation.

After the New Year's jump, off to Wolpertinger. Good idea. But everything else was just bad. Ordered 4 drinks, unfortunately the tray spilled almost the entire range in equal parts over the shoulders, jacket, trousers and shoes. Annoying, it can happen. The staff gave us napkins, a quick apology, moved us to another table, took our food order... and then nothing more. No further questions as to whether everything was ok (we were cold, now with damp ski jumpers and half-wet jeans), the food was below average, not hot, my white beer, which I had drunk, remained empty until the bitter end - I wasn't offered anything new, which was little misery At least demand for ketch-up with curry was filled... Zero service on site. With the further highlight that separate bills only have to be separated at the checkout when you go out... it's not possible at all. By now it was getting really cold in the wet areas, shoulders etc, but it didn't matter. Ask the “buried woman”, please pay, but come straight away. Then another waiter at the table billed separately. No request for cleaning of clothes etc. Goodbye forever. At least I have a washing machine - but a shop that is so far removed in terms of friendliness, taking care of something, service, etc.!! Never go there - go to McDonalds, the food is similar but the service is better!!! And then the seemingly emotional response from the owner: definitely no one apologized to me five times - this is about something completely different. The basic attitude and an elementary service concept are completely missing - and I can reassure the owner - our jeans have already been washed and the sticky jackets are experiencing the same thing in the full wash cycle. Have a good meal.

3 out of 10 meals came much later. Another dish three quarters of an hour later like the rest. One meal came wrong. Service very friendly. Too bad. We won't do it again though.

Outstanding beef dish. Sirloin strips with mushrooms and bell peppers in a spicy sauce and potatoes with bacon/pork belly.

I want to recommend this restaurant for all the people who have a boyfriend that did not plan New Years dinner for them. This restaurant won’t disappoint- great food and atmosphere and took us without reservations.

Great food even better service! Came in right at open with two tires and hungry kiddos. Our server was so friendly, made us feel so welcome and was just the best. He brought over extra chair cushions for my youngest which was both extremely helpful and made my son feel so special. Now the food, DELICIOUS. Everything was so yummy, quick and exactly what we wanted. Highly highly highly recommend this place to everyone!
