Wolpertinger in Garmisch-Partenkirchen

Unfortunately I was extremely disappointed in this restaurant, I didn't even get a drink after half an hour. The waiting times there are far too long!! Bad just bad, no understanding of gastronomy

I was on holiday in Garmisch with my boyfriend and luckily discovered this wonderful restaurant. There are thirsty Wolpertiners lurking everywhere who secretly want to drink your beer empty. We received a very friendly welcome. The drinks and food were prepared/served quickly. The food is absolute madness. I have rarely eaten so well! A big compliment to the kitchen. We only went to this restaurant for the rest of our vacation. The people in service are friendly and kind-hearted people!♥️ It won't be long before we book our next holiday in Garmisch and eat at Wolpertinger again!

An excellent place if you want to eat something good and not so expensive, quality out of this world, the ambiance is really good and has a lot of Wolpertinger around, just watching and waiting to steal your french fries, the service is exemplary compared to other renowned restaurants in which i ate and was really not that impressed, it is amazing here, nothing to complain about, this gets a 10/10, too bad you can only rate it 5/5, i really fell in love with this amazing place, just take a good advice and go and eat in Wolpertinger

Great restaurant! Wolpertinger has a great atmosphere and the food is simply great. Every dish was a delight, and the desserts – simply heavenly. The service is great, the staff is super nice and attentive. You feel really comfortable here, regardless of whether you come with friends or as a couple. I'll definitely be back!

Delicious Bavarian food. Good selection and large portions. Unfortunately our food didn't arrive at the same time because something went wrong in the service. Still 5 stars because we apologized several times and we got schnapps and dessert on the house. Mistakes happen to everyone. The super nice and funny service made everything right again and we had a great evening with good food. Anyone who wants to eat good Bavarian food and is very hungry is definitely in the right place here. We would love to come back 😊

Perfect meal. The portions are more than adequate. I won't reveal any more. Really tasty and the people are nice, everything fits. A little tip, even if it's hard, look at the customers' empty glasses - you can make more money. The boss should be a good example go ahead.

In short, simply great! Price performance unbeatable in Garmisch. Very large portion of great quality at a great price. We would like to come back at any time. Keep it up, thank you!

Absolutely insane! Rarely have I eaten something so delicious. We were greeted with a shot straight away and the service was generally great. Anyone who is in Garmisch and doesn't eat here is either crazy or takes in liquid food through a bag on their stomach.

Reservations went smoothly and we were greeted in a friendly manner. The staff in the restaurant were also very friendly and the waiter at our table seemed like he was enjoying his job. The food was at our table quickly and it was also very tasty. Ambiance seemed very cozy and inviting. It wasn't too loud and you could still have a good conversation.

3 out of 10 meals came much later. Another dish three quarters of an hour later like the rest. One meal came wrong. Service very friendly. Too bad. We won't do it again though.

After the New Year's jump, off to Wolpertinger. Good idea. But everything else was just bad. Ordered 4 drinks, unfortunately the tray spilled almost the entire range in equal parts over the shoulders, jacket, trousers and shoes. Annoying, it can happen. The staff gave us napkins, a quick apology, moved us to another table, took our food order... and then nothing more. No further questions as to whether everything was ok (we were cold, now with damp ski jumpers and half-wet jeans), the food was below average, not hot, my white beer, which I had drunk, remained empty until the bitter end - I wasn't offered anything new, which was little misery At least demand for ketch-up with curry was filled... Zero service on site. With the further highlight that separate bills only have to be separated at the checkout when you go out... it's not possible at all. By now it was getting really cold in the wet areas, shoulders etc, but it didn't matter. Ask the “buried woman”, please pay, but come straight away. Then another waiter at the table billed separately. No request for cleaning of clothes etc. Goodbye forever. At least I have a washing machine - but a shop that is so far removed in terms of friendliness, taking care of something, service, etc.!! Never go there - go to McDonalds, the food is similar but the service is better!!! And then the seemingly emotional response from the owner: definitely no one apologized to me five times - this is about something completely different. The basic attitude and an elementary service concept are completely missing - and I can reassure the owner - our jeans have already been washed and the sticky jackets are experiencing the same thing in the full wash cycle. Have a good meal.

The food was good, but it was forgotten. The food was delivered incorrectly as ordered.

I want to recommend this restaurant for all the people who have a boyfriend that did not plan New Years dinner for them. This restaurant won’t disappoint- great food and atmosphere and took us without reservations.

Outstanding beef dish. Sirloin strips with mushrooms and bell peppers in a spicy sauce and potatoes with bacon/pork belly.

Een geweldige plek om wat te eten, alles smaakte heerlijk en zeer grotr porties, erg vriendelijke personeel en een super gezellige eigenaar. Hun eigen bier smaakt ook erg goed en is zeker een aanrader!

Great food even better service! Came in right at open with two tires and hungry kiddos. Our server was so friendly, made us feel so welcome and was just the best. He brought over extra chair cushions for my youngest which was both extremely helpful and made my son feel so special. Now the food, DELICIOUS. Everything was so yummy, quick and exactly what we wanted. Highly highly highly recommend this place to everyone!

I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who is visiting the area. Not only is the food amazing but the atmosphere is incredibly welcoming. The food is probably one of the most complex dishes I have tried on my palette, but every part of it was complimentary. We were very happy with the food, the service and all around🫶🏼 we are from Munich and were very shocked by the good prices as well as the hospitality. At the end there was schnapps and a sweet, the waiter was very welcoming. We would come back on a next visit 🩷

We have visited the Wolpertinger once so far and recommend it with a clear conscience. The house makes a rustic and cozy impression right from the start. From the first moment we felt welcomed. The service staff is friendly, attentive and quick, even when there is a big rush. We noticed that guests were also greeted, advised and looked after in English. You don't have to take long to get used to the delicious amber beer from the Autenrieder Schlossbrauerei. It's just something different than the usual mainstream brew. The menu isn't particularly complex, but it's full of interesting ideas. Not only can it be accessed on the website wirtshaus-wolpertinger.de, all dishes can be viewed in advance under “our dishes”. In contrast to common burger roasters, what comes to the table looks just as delicious as in the pictures. Quality can also be seen in the little things. The yogurt dressing doesn't come out of the canister and tastes just as fresh as the crunchy salad ingredients. The French fries arrive at the table hot and crispy. And the fried potatoes show all the symptoms of being cooked hot in a real pan. In this inn we cook with love and work with motivation. Therefore the pricing is completely reasonable. Booking a table in advance is a good idea!

All of our expectations were met. Rump steak is uniquely tender.

An absolute recommendation for Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Great service, delicious food and a great atmosphere. You should come early or, best of all, make a reservation.

Very friendly staff, and very good food.

There are 2-3 private parking spaces in front of the restaurant. Parking on the street is probably no problem either. When we were there, only one room was open. Unfortunately there is a bit of a wait involved, but a reservation doesn't hurt either. The food was very, very tasty and is absolutely recommended

It was a great evening. We had ordered a load of crap and a Brauhaus steak. The portion size is gigantic… and for relatively no money. The best thing about it all is that it tasted great too. I can absolutely recommend the Wolpertinger and will definitely come back… oh yes, I have to say something about the facility. It's very timely and different. For example, we sat on two logs. Really cool.

Ich war gestern zum ersten Mal da, obwohl ich seit Jahren in Ga-Pa wohne, und komme definitiv wieder. Das Essen schmeckt hervorragend, ist gar nicht teuer, die Portionen sind riesig und die Damen, die mich bedient haben, waren super nett und mega hübsch. Das Restarant liegt zwar a bissl weiter (die Zugspitzstraße ist nicht gerade im Stadtzentrum), aber der Spaziergang lohnt sich, das könnt ihr mir glauben.

The three of us stopped there after a short hiking tour. Very tasty and sumptuous food! The main courses included cheese soup. Price-performance was also good. The staff and ambience make you feel very comfortable! Always my pleasure!

We stopped by spontaneously, received a friendly welcome and were given a place even though the hut was full. We found it very good. The service was great, friendly and the food came quickly, despite it being full. The portions are huge, you have to be very hungry. The taste was delicious and the price was right. The price-performance ratio is right here. I can recommend everyone to come here. Thumbs up!

Everything is consistent. 1L of beer for €8.50 is an announcement and the food was also really impeccable. I even got my hat back 2 days later. Great restaurant!

Reservierung problemlos, sehr nettes Personal, auf Zack und locker, sehr gutes Bier. Die Karte war reichhaltig, das Essen schmeckte super.

Wir waren zu zweit eher zufällig im Wolpertinger. Schon beim Betreten des Restaurants wurden wir sehr freundlich empfangen. Die Bedienung war freundlich und hatte alles im Blick. Das Essen ist sehr lecker, die Preise sind unschlagbar. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgeführt und haben bis zum Ende unseres Urlaubes das Lokal wiederholt aufgesucht. Fazit: Personal super freundlich , Essen hervorragend Wir können wolpertinger zu 100 % weiterempfehlen. Reservierungen ratsam.

We were there shortly after 5 p.m. without pre-ordering - after that it quickly became full. The food was quick and was really, really tasty. Clearing up and paying took a while because the service staff were rotating quite a bit. All in all, very tasty and definitely worth a visit.

The food was superb! One of the best meals I have had in Germany. I ordered the roast beef. It was so tender. It was served with a red wine sauce that was very flavorful. The beer was very good. The atmosphere was uniquely Bavarian and added to the experience. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Sind den Bewertungen gefolgt und wurden nicht enttäuscht. Essen geschmacklich gut, das Würzen ist ausbaufähig. Preis/ Leistung passt auch. Bedienung freundlich aber muss noch etwas lernen.

Incredible vibes, food, and service. We got sat in front of the window inside with a great view. The food was so good and the portions were huge! We each ordered a dish and still had over half to food left for take away. You must get the turkey dish, apple strudel, and apple fried rings. Everything was delicious. We adored the workers too. Gerkin (not sure if spelling is correct) was so nice and helped us find a tshirt! We were soaked after a heavy rainfall. We cannot recommend this place enough.

Mega delicious food and large portions! We had the Nurembergers with potato salad and sauerkraut, as well as the cheese spaetzle. Both were very tasty and there was nothing to complain about. The landlord is also very friendly.

The only thing I could mention is if you want to pay by card, you have to have a bill over 20 euros, which is really easy to reach but nobody told us from the beginning.

We ate at “Wolperdinger” with our family twice during our vacation. The first time we didn't make a reservation, but we were still warmly welcomed and given a table. The food was very good and the portions were really big. The evening was rounded off by the friendly demeanor of both the waitress and the boss. Price/performance was very good. We liked it so much that we had dinner there again a short time later. Again we weren't disappointed. A schnapps on the house rounded off the evening. If we go on vacation to Garmisch again, we would love to come back to Wolperdinger. All the dishes we ordered were super tasty. Best: Böfflamott 😀
