Bungalow 7 in Garmisch-Partenkirchen

Great place, very friendly staff/service, delicious food and drinks. We had a veggie burger, a small Caesar salad, and a small veggie tarte flambée. We also had non-alcoholic aperitifs and the Bungalow 7 coffee; everything tasted fantastic. The highlight of the day was the dessert :) We'll definitely be back! P.S.: It's best to make a reservation or arrive before 6 p.m., otherwise it might be difficult to get a table.

Great food, great service, top-tier folk Playlist. I'd reccomend adding some Mon Rovia, Camp, and Oh Hellos to the music lineup to whoever manages the Playlist! A great choice for a hearty meal and alpine views. With gluten free options!

First off, this review isn't about the food, but solely about an employee's treatment of customers! I was on vacation on a Friday and stayed in Bungalow 7. I walked through to the terrace. Several tables were free and didn't have any "reserved" signs, so I sat down at a table for two. As soon as I sat down, an employee (a bodybuilder type) approached and asked if I had a reservation. I hadn't. He said that's why there was a sign at the entrance, instructing guests to wait there and be assigned a table. He simply stated curtly that the sign wasn't there for nothing. I apologized, as I genuinely hadn't seen the sign. On previous occasions, I'd always been told to walk through, so it hadn't occurred to me that the seating arrangements might change daily or depending on the time of day. The employee simply said there were no more tables available outside, only inside, and even there, after a long search, he only found one single table that wasn't reserved. I took the assigned table and ordered. Shortly after me, a couple arrived without a reservation and got the table I had accidentally sat at. The next couple (also without a reservation) was allowed to sit at a communal table on the terrace. The next couple (again without a reservation) then got the table next to me inside. I always go to Bungalow 7 several times on vacation because the food is delicious and I've always felt well taken care of. Yes, I missed the sign and therefore sat down at an empty table without being asked. But that's no reason for the employee to belittle me like that and then abuse his "power" by giving tables to several people without reservations, even though supposedly there were no more free tables. It already takes some courage for me to sit in a restaurant alone. But to be shuffled around like that and given the first person who came along to the table is just awful. If I hadn't already ordered food, I would have left right away. That, and the fact that this employee kept staring at me (probably wanting to know how far along I was so the table would be free again), completely ruined my appetite; finishing my meal was out of the question. I actually love Bungalow 7, but I've never felt so out of place and unwanted as I did that evening. I sent this feedback to the Bungalow 7 team immediately after my unpleasant experience, but unfortunately, even after two months, no one has responded. What a shame...

Simple decor but super cozy. The food was delicious; I'd love to come back. The walk there was a nightmare for me, as I'm not used to hills, but the view was amazing....

Food is very salty, fries are not real fries, but more like chips (crisps), probably not homemade but cheap deepfreeze chips. The bun was cold and tasted like a supermarket bun. Man behind counter not friendly or welcoming at all. I do not recommend this place.

A super friendly team, attentive, kind, and in good spirits. The food arrives quickly and fresh, and tastes good... the ground beef patty could use a little more seasoning and fluffiness, then it would be perfect... Prices are typical for Garmisch, adjusted for tourists, but still fair. The ambiance is very nice (you wouldn't guess it just walking by) and clean.

Fantastic location! Top-notch service, excellent food and drinks at reasonable prices. The conservatory is lovely, and the entire interior is creatively designed with thoughtful details (like the world map outside the restrooms where you can mark your country with pins). The restrooms are beautifully done and stocked with all the necessary toiletries. There's a large outdoor area with blankets and a flat-screen TV for events. Good parking is available nearby. If we're ever in GPA again, we'll definitely come back.

We've eaten at the Bungalow many times. The burgers are the best, and there are no better fries than the garlic and parmesan ones. The fish and chips or chicken are just as excellent. You can easily reserve a table online or by phone (you almost have to, because there's always something going on here). Children are welcome and will be provided with a high chair or plastic cup if needed. I'm already looking forward to our next visit. :)

All in all, it was simply fantastic. The burger was incredibly delicious. The ambiance was fantastic, and the service was excellent. Highly recommended.

As always when we're in Garmisch, we make sure to stop by Bungalow 7. Yesterday was no problem either. Reserving a table online was no problem, nor was being there 30 minutes early. The service was super friendly, immediately pointing out the burger of the day and also pointing out that the side fries for our gluten-free order weren't gluten-free. The Zug Spritz aperitif is truly delicious, the beer cold and tasty. The burgers we ordered were cooked to the desired degree, the Parmesan garlic fries were a dream, and the sauces we could order were truly delicious. The spare ribs are gigantic, and not just in terms of their size. The meat falls off the bone, and the BBQ sauce and spring onions complement it perfectly. An "old raspberry" to finish off the visit rounded off the experience. The raspberry liqueur, although a bit more expensive, is highly recommended. As were all the food and drinks. The only criticism, at a high level, is the noise level when the place is full, but that doesn't detract from the overall experience. If we're ever in the area again, we'll definitely be back. The price/performance ratio is good; if you want quality and good service, you won't go wrong here.👍

Bungalow 7 will likely become a regular on our visits to Garmisch. As with previous visits, the service was excellent, the food was excellent (not just the burgers), and the prices were reasonable. A pleasant atmosphere and a pleasantly low noise level.

Fast, very pleasant service. Very good food. The garlic parmesan fries with the burger were perfect, and the burger itself was good (personally, I would have preferred a slightly less firm and compact patty, like two smashed patties made from the same amount of meat, which would result in more crispy surface, but that's just a high-level criticism).

When you walk in to Bungalow 7 you are immediately met by a “hello and how are you”. My advice, please respond accordingly! We had the true pleasure of meeting, Dan, the restaurant owner and he is one of the best humans you will ever meet. His staff are his “family” and the burgers were truly some of the best I have ever eaten. Highly recommend! Do not pass on this one.

A rather mediocre experience: The food tasted good, but unfortunately, the Coke served twice (even after complaining) was completely non-carbonated. Our order was also initially mixed up. However, the service was very friendly and helpful and quickly found a solution. What I really didn't like: ashtrays on the tables in the outdoor dining area, which meant that our neighbors were constantly smoking cigarettes. What a shame!

I spontaneously stopped by Bungalow 7 for a late lunch after a hike. Even though I was alone and the only guest, I was allowed to eat there (which isn't always the case in many restaurants). Friendly service, a relaxed atmosphere, and good food. What more could you want?!

Burger was tough and overdone. Fish was good but was not hot, warm at best. Very expensive for what we got.

My wife ordered "The Canadian," which, according to the menu, consists of a beef patty, bacon, and cheese, with the substitution: turkey instead of beef, please, and a leaf of lettuce. The waiter explained to us that the meat change was acceptable, otherwise the burgers couldn't be customized. I ordered the "Mighty Mushroom" and then without cheese, which, according to the menu, would only have a patty and mushrooms on the burger. I asked again if there would be more in the burger than stated on the menu, to which he repeated his sentence, "The burgers come as they say on the menu!" Well, unfortunately, that's not the case. Both burgers came with a sauce with sliced ​​onions (neither of us are big onion fans), a leaf of lettuce, and a slice of tomato (my wife doesn't like those either... Long story short... the staff doesn't know what's on their menu or how the burgers are served. So, unfortunately, not recommended.

We've been there several times for dinner and have always been very satisfied. The friendly service, even with small children, is particularly noteworthy. You rarely experience something like that these days. A huge compliment for that. The various burgers are great, and the parmesan garlic fries and various dips are particularly delicious. Advance reservations are always a good idea, as it gets busy, especially in the evenings.

I ate there today, and it was pretty okay. Unfortunately, I got diarrhea from the hot sauce on the fancy wings.

We recently dined at the bungalow with five people. The atmosphere is inviting. Each of us had a burger with a side dish and several drinks. The food was excellent, and the service was very friendly and attentive. Empty glasses were quickly replaced with new ones upon request. My husband and I come here regularly for burgers. The service is always very friendly, and our children always feel welcome, too.

Try their special burger. That day it was the truffle burger. To be honest, the restaurant is good. But the prices are a bit high.

Nice atmosphere, but we were only allowed to order drinks from the waitress, and food later. That took 15-20 minutes. Since we were passing through, we just wanted to pay for the drinks quickly, but the card only accepted orders over €10, so we had to order something else. Definitely take your time when you come here 🙏🏻

Sorry, the 5 stars for the service aren't really accurate. It should really be 10 stars; I've never been served so well, super friendly... There are certainly plenty of places to eat well in Garmisch. I'll be there for two days and will be eating at Bungalow 7 again tomorrow 😅, that says it all. We were there for dinner today with our two children. We received a friendly welcome at reception and were shown straight to our table. A highchair and a toy box were provided for the children, and the daily and summer menus were explained to us. After ordering, our food and drinks arrived quickly. The waitress was extremely friendly and the food was very good! Kudos to the entire team. If you're willing to spend a euro more, you'll definitely get good service and delicious food.

Service was very friendly and the ambiance was also very nice. We ordered two beef burgers. One with fries as a side order and the other with garlic parmesan fries because they were recommended to us. The fries were really good (especially the garlic parmesan). Unfortunately, the meat on the burger was cooked well, not medium as ordered. The only apology we received was, "Oh, it must have been cooked a bit too long." When ordering, we were asked whether we wanted Emmental or Camembert on the burger. The waiter recommended Camembert, and we opted for that. Then, when we got the bill, we were disappointed: there was a surcharge for "extra cheese." This wasn't communicated to us beforehand, and it wasn't listed on the menu. The same goes for the surcharge for mayonnaise. We were very surprised and taken by surprise. The surcharges should be communicated openly here, especially when we're given a choice of toppings. Unfortunately, I wasn't satisfied with the portion either.

Gluten-free burgers, spare ribs, sweet potato fries, and halloumi fries are available there. Very friendly staff.

I came across it based on the praise of some brothers on Google, and it turned out to be very normal.

We've been here several times now for dinner or just for a drink and have never been disappointed. Quite the opposite: every visit has been an experience because: - the food is delicious, fresh, and plentiful. - the staff is consistently friendly, welcoming, and service-oriented – even when the place is full. - the ambiance is appealing, tidy, and clean. And – last but not least – - the selection of food, drinks, and extras is very good. It's something special with its own unique touch. Not the average fare you'd get elsewhere. Special requests are also easily accommodated! We unreservedly recommend it. We'd be happy to come back anytime!

We came for the garlic Parmesan fries! They were amazing and so was the rest of our food. I had the Mediterranean burger and an Aperol spritz. The service was good and our server was friendly. We sat outside and the weather was beautiful! They have gluten free options for folks as well.

Good selection; the waitress even asks (when ordering a burger) how you'd like it cooked, e.g., medium, etc. I also particularly liked the wide selection for vegetarians and vegans. They also asked if you wanted a special version of the dish or a vegan/vegetarian option. Drinks and cocktails were also very good. Restrooms were clean. Parking is available right outside.

The ribs we ordered were excellent, but the burger turned out to be rather dry and overcooked. We mentioned this to the waitress, who immediately offered us a new burger. My better half, however, didn't want another one. It's a shame, because the first impression was unfortunately ruined by the burger. However, since the staff member was very attentive, for example, offering free drinks, we will give the restaurant another chance next time we visit.

Was looking forward to trying this restaurant for a few days, but immediately upon walking in, the staff was SO rude! We walked in and saw a sign telling us to wait there to be seated, so we did. After a few minutes, the bartender acknowledged us and started talking to us over the bar, across other customers, in German. We weren't sure what he said (not a problem at all, we're English speakers in Germany!), but assumed he was asking us how many in our party. Since it was loud, he was far away, and we don't speak German, we held up two fingers to indicate that there were two of us. He immediately talks back to us (in English), saying "You're going to have to talk to me, I have ears!!". He then motioned to the bar and said that was our only option. Never gave us a wait time for a table. We decided to take our business elsewhere.

Behind the counter, it's been beautifully renovated, but the rest of the place is a bit dated, and the conservatory is also very nice again. The food was really, really delicious! However, I think the burger patty size is too much for many women. I had to leave some left over, and so did my daughter. Perhaps a choice of two different sizes would be interesting. However, you get value for your money. I would gladly come back.

Lunch at Bungalow 7 was absolutely amazing! The garlic parmesan fries are spectacular! Not too garlicky and excellent flavour. We both had burgers and fries, and the burger was huge! It was obvious the ingredients were fresh as this was a delicious meal.

We had a great time and would happily return. The food was generously portioned and very good. Only the fish in the fish and chips could have used a bit of salt in my opinion. The breading was very neutral, but the well-seasoned side dishes made it no problem. The outdoor area, both the terrace and the tables directly in front of the door, suffer a bit from the road running right past. The staff were attentive and friendly; we felt very welcome and comfortable.
