Maronis in Garmisch-Partenkirchen

The Maronis is very centrally located and we really liked it. The food was excellent, the service was very friendly and attentive. We would love to come back.

The good thing first: the food was quite good, the portion was huge for the price. The cocktail was really tasty and also very well priced. Unfortunately it was freezing cold in the restaurant! We sat next to the heater and it didn't work. When asked if it wouldn't work today, the waitress smiled and said no, not today. Some guests sat eating wearing jackets and headbands. We also had a hair in two different (schnitzel) dishes, an absolute no-go. There are nicer restaurants in the area!

Delicious. The service was nice, quick and professional. But you should reserve a table.

We were in the area for a week and couldn't get a table for two. That's stupid, but not the reason for the bad rating. The staff were very snippy and condescending when requesting a table.

I came across this restaurant by chance and was very pleasantly surprised. The food (sea bream fillet // vanilla ice cream) was really very tasty. 😋 The waitress (female) was very pleasant and friendly. The toilet 🚾 very clean. The only thing that may bother some customers is the situation that there is a minimum amount when paying by card and no American Express cards are accepted. In any case, a highly recommended restaurant in Garmisch. 🥇

The restaurant is very good with large portions and the flavors are perfect, I ate schnitzel breaded with Parmesan cheese perfect.

Great restaurant. In my opinion, the menu is a bit wild as there are also Asian dishes, but I would see that as a bonus. Location is great, prices are right and the service is still very good even late in the evening. I can recommend the schnitzel.

My family and I ate here today and had a lovely experience. The food was delicious, in HUGE portions, well timed, and a great value for the money. Our waitress was very kind and attentive even though she was working many busy tables - I even heard her spending some extra time with an elderly couple to make sure they understood everything and made a few jokes with them. I would definitely return here.

The food here is absolutely perfect every time. The fried chicken salad in particular is super good and the service is always super nice. Been going here every year I'm here since 2015 and will do so again in the future.

We stopped by late on a Monday evening and were still able to get food which was great as a lot of other places had already closed their kitchens. Very friendly staff, great food, I can highly recommend the Parmesan coated schnitzel which was rather large and had a nice bottle of Gruner Veltliner. Very reasonable and accommodating place.

We were on vacation in Garmisch Partenkirchen and were looking for a good schnitzel in town and were not disappointed! My friend had a Wiener Schnitzel with fried potatoes and I had a Wiener Schnitzel with fries. It was super delicious there! A great price-performance ratio.

Il locale si trova proprio nel centro di Garmish. È stato molto piacevole cenare sotto gli ombrelloni, nella bella piazzetta, sotto una rinfrescante pioggerella che ha reso la cena ancor più caratteristica. Gentilissimo e premuroso lo staff, composto da giovani ragazze estremamente simpatiche e professionali. Cucina semplice, nella tradizione bavarese, ma ben eseguita. Un particolare plauso alle stupende cotolette, saporite e mai unte, disponibili anche con diverse panature: OTTIME! Prezzo corretto. Consigliatissimo.

We spontaneously visited this restaurant. At first we were a little disappointed by the relatively small menu, but what you get there tastes very good and the portions are very large. The portions are so big that you don't need a starter and they are also very cheap. We would come here again if we vacationed in this place again!

Tolles Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis Unsere Entscheidung, dieses Restaurant zu besuchen, fiel spontan aufgrund einer Google-Recherche. Die Einrichtung und das Ambiente sind nichts Besonderes. Die Plastikstühle im Außenbereich sind etwas zu niedrig zum Essen, jedoch schöne Aussicht auf die Berge. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und angenehm, sodass man gerne Trinkgeld gibt. Besonders nett war der Gruß aus der Küche. Die Riesenschnitzel mit Bratkartoffeln war sehr lecker, und auch der Curryreis mit Gemüse war geschmacklich gut ! Alle waren satt und zufrieden. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis passt! Vielen Dank, wir kommen gerne wieder.

I have very mixed feelings about this place. Be prepared for this kind of treatment: we approached the waitress and asked in English where we could sit for a group of four. She offered us a table outside with two chairs after a heavy rain. The table was small, wet, and water was dripping from the umbrella right onto our heads. I asked if we could sit inside (we had sat inside a couple of days earlier), and she bluntly told me: you cannot. We waited for another waitress and were seated inside, where only a few tables were occupied, and there was plenty of space. I don’t know on what basis the waitstaff decide who can sit inside and who cannot, but I have never encountered such treatment in Europe before, and I was simply shocked. The schnitzel is impressive in size but tasteless without cranberry sauce. The baked potatoes with bacon are really delicious. The owner of the restaurant shifts the responsibility for customer orientation onto the clients, rather than himself and his staff. It turns out that it's my fault for not causing a fuss about why I wasn't allowed to sit in the restaurant, rather than the staff's fault for not being able to explain they rules

Gigantic delicious schnitzels. The quality suffers zero due to the huge size. Great bread with homemade tartar sauce as a welcome from the house. Great to sit outside, very friendly and attentive staff

We eat here often and enjoy it every time. There are a variety of things and everything tastes really good every time. The staff is always very polite and friendly. The price is a bit higher, but the quality is also there. We always enjoy coming back.

Super leckeres Essen und sehr freundliche Bedienung. Service war schnell. Wir hatten das Schnitzel mit Parmesankruste, das war super lecker und Riesen groß. Super Fleischqulität. Dazu den Beilagensalat mit Kürbiskernöldressing. Absolut zu empfehlen. Zum Nachtisch eine Kugel Kürbiskerneis. Hatte ich noch nie gegessen und schmeckte sehr interessant und lecker. Es kann hilfreich sein einen Tisch zu reservieren, da es gut besucht ist. Wenn wir wieder in Garmisch sind, kommen wir auf jeden Fall wieder.

We had an excellent lunch (cod stewed with white wine sauce on root vegetables) and the cake was also excellent. Added to this is the very friendly and courteous service. It is always a sign of quality when a restaurant offers a good lunch.

Last night's visit was an absolute hit. We had the Wiener-style schnitzel twice with fried potatoes and mushroom cream sauce and were very impressed. The food at the neighboring tables also looked very tasty and lovingly prepared. The service person responsible for us happened to be the daughter of the house, who easily managed to take the orders - food and drinks - from 3 fully occupied tables, including special requests, without any notes and not forgetting a single detail. When asked about this, we got the answer: I love this job, which really couldn't be overlooked.👍 A great evening in a highly recommended restaurant. We are definitely looking forward to the next visit.

Wow! Great food and fantastic service. Hospitality is very important here. We were in Bavaria over the weekend and after the great meal we went straight back there on Friday and Saturday evening! - It was worth it. One of the best schnitzels we've ever eaten, it's a shame you can't find it near us :-) 5+ stars!

11. Mai um genau 17h mit 7 Personen viele freie und ab 18:30 reservierte Tische vorgefunden - auf die Frage ob man margenintensive Getränke konsumieren dürften binnen weniger ale einer Stunde wurden wir gebeten zu gehen mit dem Hinweis man habe keine Tische frei…. No comment….
