Kreuzalm in Garmisch-Partenkirchen

Spending the night in the Kreuzalm was an unforgettable experience! From the first minute we felt warmly and familiarly welcomed. The loving care and courteous service made the stay special. The atmosphere is wonderfully decelerating - perfect for leaving everyday life behind and enjoying the tranquility of the mountains. The food is sensational and we can only recommend a stop. A clear recommendation for anyone looking for unique accommodation and a warm atmosphere. We'll definitely be back!

After our hike we stopped here to eat. The food is good and usually comes quickly. If there are crowds of visitors, there may be delays. But the staff always remains professional and friendly. With this wonderful view, it's easy to sit down and linger for a few minutes. But it's not just the view that makes this place so interesting. Paragliders also take off here, which not only looks interesting but also encourages you to fly yourself. Which I did then. By the way, the photos are only 2 days apart!

We spent 3 days in the Kreuzalm!!!! It was an absolute dream vacation!! The Krause family looked after us wonderfully! Food allergies will also be taken into account if you declare them in advance! No problem there! The food, the service, the rooms and the warm atmosphere, all around a dream! You felt more than just “at home”! Arrive and feel good! Thank you for this unforgettable time! I was only there as a hiker, but very satisfied. Everything was great and very friendly.

It was okay, but nothing special.

The staff is super nice and friendly. We were there today with our 14 month old daughter. They are also very child-friendly here. The food was very tasty and the price-performance ratio was very good. We'd love to come back

The food and service are a dream, it's rare to have such friendly staff despite the stress on the terrace. According to the waitress, the food was also good for two people. Had the Kaiserschmarrn “small” and the snack plate, super tasty 👍. We couldn't judge the rooms because we stopped there during the hike.

We stopped here after the hike from Alpspix. Were given great advice on the portion sizes. The service was very warm and funny. The small portion of Kaiserschmarrn was perfect and the snack plate was varied. We'd love to come back!

I had goulash soup with bread and my wife had Kaiserschmarrn. Wow, both were very good. The service was very friendly. Top recommendation

Stopped in for a little snack after climbing the mountain. The staff is friendly and you don't have to wait more than a few minutes. Fresh shandy and a few Viennese... There's nothing there. Kaiserschmarrn with applesauce in a small portion... That's extremely plentiful. You don't even want to know what the large portion looks like. If you watch the other tables and look at the plates, there are very large dishes here at an absolutely fair price. Clear recommendation! Thanks 🙂

Nice location but the hiking trail to the valley station is miserable. The signage is not always clear, unfortunately 5km extra.

Best view in good weather. The prices for food and drinks are fair and the portions are large. We were able to eat a (large) portion of Kaiserschmarrn with three adults. The Kaiserschmarrn is first class, as are the dumplings and the schnitzel.

A break at the Kreuzalm is highly recommended. The food is delicious and enjoying it with a great view is fabulous.

The ladies from the service were super nice and warm and even though it was busy, the service was quick. I had a snack (+ 2 drinks) - very tasty 😋 - and just right after a long hike. The portion was large and I was offered what I hadn't managed to pack to take home. Price-performance ratio is great. Thank you for such a nice end to a day of hiking 🩷!

We've stayed at the Kreuzalm several times now and it's always been fantastic. You immediately feel really comfortable and are well looked after. No problem seems unsolvable. The food is great and all the employees and the family are super, super friendly. You immediately feel at home. Thank you for the wonderful vacation and we will definitely be back 😍😍

Have had something to drink at the Kreuzalm several times this year. We always felt very comfortable and the service was in a good mood even when it was busier. I would rate the prices as very fair at €4.5 for the 0.5l red wine spritzer. The Augustiner from the barrel was well chilled and very drinkable. Gladly again.

Good goulash soup (also tasty in summer) and a beautiful view, at normal prices (as they are on almost every alpine pasture)

We stayed with the Krause family for 2 nights and felt very comfortable. A warm family with a beautifully furnished mountain farm. Rooms, food and service are simply top! Thank you for 2 lovely days. We'll definitely be back.

Super nice hut and always a good choice to stop by! The food is great and you can sit on the terrace in winter and summer and the service is always friendly!

A very nice alpine pasture near the Kreuzeck gondola. Very nice service and delicious food. Good portion. Three types of dumplings with salad for 16.90. There are suoer Kaiserschmarrn and children's and daily dishes. And there is also ice cream and cake. A rustic house, a great terrace and the cows in front of the door.

It's worth the 10 minutes to walk further and stop here. The portions are generous and the food is on point!

We took a lunch break here four times while skiing. Everything is good (service fast and nice, food and prices ok), but ATTENTION: Twice we were charged €2 too much (“Stammtisch-Cappo”). We didn't check it the first two times. Was that intentional? 2€ doesn't make much of a difference...

I only rate the restaurant. I ordered cheese spaetzle and hot lemon. The dish was OK but the hot lemon was a joke. You get hot water with lemon concentrate and pay EUR 4.90 for it. This is really not okay.

I'm not rating the hotel here, but the restaurant. Positive: The staff was soooo nice, friendly and sweet! This had a lot of meaning for us, as we have hardly had any good experiences in Bavaria (as far as friendliness is concerned). Great view if you sit outside, fast service, there are water bowls for dogs and the food was very tasty (we had cheese spaetzle and goulash soup) including salad dressing. Great location - we walked the steep trail and were happy to see this alpine pasture. I can't say anything negative! :-)

One of our most beautiful vacations. The Krause family was very loving and caring. Rooms are great, perfect break on the mountain. Eat a lot and always fresh. The homemade cake is a dream. We will be back. Thank you very much 😀 Maria and Markus Krause. You are awesome

Actually, you shouldn't give that much praise so that we still have the chance to get a room in the future 😉 but we had 5 incredibly nice days with the Krause family and that simply has to be said. We were all treated so warmly. The rooms are an absolute dream, just like the rest of the Kreuzalm. With great attention to detail. The food is plentiful and super tasty. The cakes are a dream 😍 It hasn't been so difficult for us to say goodbye in a long time, but we are already looking forward to autumn and the Krause family. Thank you thank you thank you!!!

If you love peace and quiet... this is the place for you... in the evening when all the visitors are in the valley... there is silence up there...

Beautiful, rustic alpine pasture with a very nice large terrace. The location is absolutely fantastic with a wonderful view of Alpspitze and Wetterstein. I would have preferred to stay there :-). The food and service were top. We recommend!

we were at the restaurant on sunny day. The service was fast and food tasted good. One of the few restaurants on the Slopes/Pisten that offers more than 1 vegetarian option for a meal. The view from the restaurant was amazing.

Ich hatte sehr schöne Skitage im Dorint Sporthotel Garmisch Partenkirchen. Unkomplizierter und freundlicher Checkin + Checkout. Geräumiges, gemütliches und sauberes Zimmer - sehr zum Wohlfühlen. Tolles Frühstücksbuffet, bei dem kein Wunsch offen bleibt und man sich so richtig für den Tag stärken kann. Kleiner aber feiner Wellnessbereich. Gute zentrale Lage. Ich komme gerne wieder!

Essen gut, Bedienung super! Die Sonne war auch oft da. Was will man mehr?

Essen alles weg. Durchschnittliches Essen. Ab und zu nette Kellner. Apfelstrudel war lecker. Salat war auch gut. Gute Lage. Sonne könnte länger scheinen.

Sehr nettes Personal die trotz der vielen Gäste nicht gestresst oder unfreundlich waren. Sogar auf das Essen brauchten wir nicht lange warten, obwohl es sehr voll war.

Sehr leckeres Essen, schöne Zimmer zum Übernachten. Frühstück sehr reichhaltig. Total nettes Personal. Danke, wir kommen gerne wieder.

Selten eine so schlecht organisierte Truppe in Sachen Service erlebt… sorry, brauche ich SO nicht mehr!

Das Essen und die Aussicht sind immer wieder ein sehr positives Erlebnis. Die Bedienung ist immer sehr freundlich, auch wenn die Terrasse voll ist.

Habe dort einen der besten Kaiserschmarrn gegessen, die ich je hatte. Der Preis scheint zwar recht hoch mit um die 12 Euro, aber dafür ist es eine mega große Portion, die kaum zu schaffen ist. Sollte man nicht grade "vor Hunger sterben", dann ist eher die kleine Portion für um die 10 Euro zu empfehlen. Ansonsten ist es eine super Örtlichkeit, die fußläufig von der Kreuzalmbahn in 15-20 Minuten zu erreichen ist.

Über die Lage und die Aussicht muss man nichts sagen. Die Bedienung total nett und herzlich. Das Essen war ok, der Kaiserschmarrn ging leider gar nicht. 🥺

Sehr freundliche Bedienung und eine Top lage mit wunderschöner Aussicht auf die Alpspitze. Die bayrische Brotzeit war zwar schön angerichtet, Wurst und Käse hätten aber auch aus dem Supermarkt kommen können und das Bauernbrot war schon etwas trocken. Für knapp 15€ hätte ich schon einen lokalen Käse oder Schinken erwartet. Preis-Leistung stimmt hier m.E.n. nicht. Sieht bei anderen Gerichten aber vermutlich anders aus.

Zur Wanderpause gab es ein leckeres Speckbrettl und eine frische Halbe. Sehr lecker!

Gute Rast auf dem Weg zum Aufstieg zum Osterfelderkopf und zur Alpspitze

Wir waren nach einer Wanderung zum Mittagessen dort und waren wirklich begeistert! Sehr große Auswahl auch an besonderen, vegetarischen Gerichten. Das Knödel-Trio (Spinat, Käse, Rote Beete) mit Salat & der Kaiserschmarrn mit Apfelmus waren sensationell. Alles frisch und hausgemacht. Gute Portionen. Der Service war trotz hoher Auslastung sehr professionell, flott, geduldig und freundlich. Wir haben nicht lange gewartet, ging echt schnell! Sehr schöne Lage und alles sauber und ordentlich. Preis-Leistung passt auch. Preise sind für die Qualität mehr als fair. Wir haben für einen großen Kaiserschmarrn mit Apfelmus, Knödel-Trio mit Salat und zwei große Johannisbeer-Schorlen (je 0,5 l) 34€ gezahlt.

Schöne Alm jedoch recht viel los.

Eigentlich Hotel statt Alm. Sehr bemüht, super ausgestattet, sehr sauber, tolle Lage, super Zimmer, tolles Essen und Frühstück. Unser Zimmer hatte einen eigenen Balkon mit Blick Richtung Kramer. Das Zimmer ist riesig und mit viel Liebe fürs Detail eingerichtet, mit ganz viel hellem Holz. Auch das Bad im ist sehr groß. Auch hier der Blick für Kleinigkeiten wie eine Porzellan-Dose mit Wattepads, Tampons und Q-Tips. Bei dem Arbeitsaufkommen und dem Service haben wir absolutes Verständnis, dass im Vorfeld nicht alle Mails beantwortet werden konnten. Am besten einfach anrufen. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und kommen bestimmt wieder. Leider - oder zum Glück - gibt es nur vier Zimmer.

Ein wunderschöner Ort zum verweilen, bevor es vom Berg runtergeht. Sehr leckeres Essen und sehr freundlicher Service. Ein MUSS👍
