Back out again - train station atmosphere

We have been looking for a good restaurant in Schönau for a long time and have finally found it. Very good food, great service. When the temperatures are high, it's best to sit inside or in the beer garden; unfortunately, it's far too hot in the Winrergarten. Otherwise absolutely recommended.

Great atmosphere, very friendly staff. Unfortunately, some of my onions were black and so was the bacon, which made the fried potatoes taste bitter. The waitress couldn't do anything about it. Maybe better next time. I wish you a nice day 🤗

Food was great! Very very tasty. However, our waiter doesn't seem to have had a good day that day. When asked more specifically about a dish, the faces were initially grimaced. Too bad.

So the food we had was really delicious. Service was friendly and good. What didn't work at all: We had reserved a table outside, which was also promised to us. Instead we were assigned a table in the winter garden. And it was unbearable because of the heat. Dining when it feels like 40 degrees is no joy, no matter how good the food is. Other guests, like us, ate quickly and then quickly disappeared again. We were gone again after 45 minutes. Unfortunately, I imagine a nice dinner on vacation to be different.

Was really good. Served braised beef heart with spaetzle and bacon beans. A little retro in terms of the sideboard but really tasty. I think it's great when there aren't always the same dishes and the whole animal is used. There should be more such extraordinary dishes. Price performance absolutely 😀

A Bavarian restaurant. The cuisine is highly recommended Reginale delicacies. Bavarian cuisine, even my daughter found it very tasty. Great ambience. 🤩🤩👍👍👍 Reservations are more desirable. It's always very well attended.

The food was super delicious there on Friday August 25th, 24, I love cordon bleu and enjoyed it with fried potatoes and sauce, the garlic soup was a culinary delight, if we come back we would be happy to eat there again

I had a crusty roast that consisted almost entirely of fat and was unfortunately only lukewarm.

We visited this restaurant in summer at around 6:00 p.m. The shop was very busy and we were seated with two other guests. We ordered the Kas Burger and after 25 minutes of waiting we were served it. The burger was great, but roulades and knuckles also looked good at the next table. The best so far

Eigentlich ganz gut, können video nicht richtig schreiben. Sagt einiges. Haben 1,1/2 stunden gewartet um uns an die bar zu sitzen aber keiner kam um uns zum platz zu bringen obwohl an der Eingangstür steht das man auf Bedienung warten soll. Haben uns dann eine pizza neben an besorgt, aber der Junge koch war sehr nett und hat uns gefragt ob wir ein gratis Getränk haben wollen, für die Umstände. Dies lehnten wir aber ab.

Beautiful terrace with a view of the mountains. Free parking in front of the restaurant. Roast venison and cheese dumpling soup were great, veggi burger was okay. Very friendly service.

We went on vacation as a family to Schönau in the summer of 2023. This restaurant was recommended to us. We came spontaneously and, despite the full house, we still got a nice place with the children. The order was taken quickly and the children received pens and coloring pages to use while they waited. A huge plus point for that ;-) after an acceptable waiting time, our food arrived! It was super tasty. This year we went there without children. Three times in one week! The food is really recommended and the service is world class!

An excellent Bavarian restaurant with typical dishes for this region. Very fast and helpful staff in costumes. After paying, especially during dinner hours, the attention of the company is schnapps.

Starter was great, unfortunately main course wasn't that convincing. The fried potatoes were not fried, and the sauce for the onion roast was unfortunately very watery. But service was very nice and the food was delivered to the table really quickly.

I haven't eaten so well in a long time. Onion roast was tender like butter, champion schnitzel was still tender until the end. Despite a reservation, we ate in the winter garden, which is why we deducted a point for ambience.

As a Saxon, I can only say that we have a lot in common with Bavaria. And that includes the food and the cosiness and the warmth. We were able to experience everything again in a 100% successful dinner. The restaurant is packed. Thank God we had reservations. Everything fit together, from the warm welcome to the great food and everything else. Many thanks to the entire Bodner team, who harmonized really well together. Thank you for allowing us to be your guests. We'll definitely be back this week.

So gut hab ich schon lange nicht mehr gegessen! Zwiebelrostbraten zart wie Butter, Championsschnitzel war zart bis zum Schluss. kein Wunder ist das Lokal immer proppevoll! die Bedienungen sind alle sehr nett und freundlich gewesen, die Toilette war sauber und ansprechend eingerichtet.

A thoroughly fantastic family-run place. Wish we had discovered the place a little earlier, then we would have eaten there every evening. Really good food and plenty of it. It tasted amazing and was so tender and delicious. Very polite and smiling service. Free parking on site. Top marks from here Remember to reserve a table. Many people come and eat at this fantastic place. My husband and I were very lucky. We didn't have a reservation, but still got a table for 1 hour. Thank you so much for an unforgettable experience. Very nice service, super delicious food. We sat outside as it was a bit too warm inside. I recommend a reservation. Dogs were welcome and there were also extra water bowls. We had to wait a moment for food, but this was absolutely legitimate at peak times in high season. Everything was in order. I found it very positive that regional products were used. There was also a schnapps with the bill 🍻

Great location, nice service and very tasty food. Finally there was an Obstler, which has become quite rare. We had to wait almost an hour for the food, but it was very busy in the restaurant. Card payment is possible and dogs are welcome. All suppliers who supply the restaurant can be found on the map.

A great restaurant. We chose the beef fillet from our own breeding. That was absolutely correct. The price is more than reasonable. We had the 150g fillet and 300g fillet. Mega, I've rarely had such a great fillet of beef. It was medium to the point, congratulations to the chef for being able to work with such a great base on beef and getting it right to the point 👍👍👍

Während unseres Urlaubs in Schönau waren wir dreimal im Bodner essen. Das sagt schon alles. Das Essen ist traditionell bayrisch so wie es sein soll. Dazu eine freundlicher und schneller Service. Wir saßen immer im Wintergarten mit dem schönen Blick auf Grünstein und Watzmann. Das Rindfleisch kommt dabei vom eigenen Hof. Besonders hervorzuheben ist als Aperitif der Chilla-Spritz, der für uns neu war.

Very popular place, you had to book in advance! It was a full house, but they welcomed us very kindly, served us kindly, even tried to please us in Hungarian! The food was great, it came out quickly, it wasn't cheap, but this kind of hospitality deserves recognition!

Of course, the restaurant can't do anything about that. If you have problems with this, you should reserve a table inside. Reservations are a must, otherwise it will be difficult to get a spot. Dogs are welcome here and paying by card is no problem either.

Were with our sports get-together on July 6th, 2024 (32 people, with reservation) in the Gasthof Bodner. Everything worked perfectly. Everyone was enthusiastic about the food and the pleasant hospitality. We felt very well looked after with you. Big compliments to the kitchen and your service. Many thanks also to Ms. Angerer for the lead. The stay at the Gasthof Bodner was the successful conclusion to our Königsee/Jenner trip. Gladly again in the future! !

Absolute recommendation!!! We decided to visit based on the reviews. Food and service great. Reservation highly recommended. Since we enjoyed it so much, we went back there the following evening. We were lucky and there was still a place for us. If you want to treat yourself to dessert after the main course (very rich and tasty), share the Kaiserschmarrn between two people😉

I was invited for my birthday. All 15 meals looked very appealing and tasted good. Regional products are used. As far as possible. You can taste that too. I ate Lüngerl because you can hardly get it anymore. Very fine. The service staff was very friendly and very attentive.

Wonderfully nice service, familiar and a first class atmosphere

The pork crackling was definitely a total failure. The meat was totally dry, there was actually no crust at all and the sauce was a disgrace (packaged sauce that wasn't even thoroughly mixed). The taste is definitely better - especially at €17!!! A pity!

Really great food with good value for money. Rustic, typically Bavarian furnishings to make you feel good. The service and the kitchen are simply on point. Been there twice on the weekend. No long wait and had great food! And the service is always friendly and relaxed!
