Gasthof Bodner in Schönau a.Königssee

By chance while browsing the internet, I came across this restaurant for dinner. Reservation went straight away, reception was friendly. Food was excellent and plentiful. Anytime again, price performance is right... Ambience very nice and cozy.

A quaint old restaurant with a lot of charm. It is very cozy, the atmosphere takes you back to old times. The two of us were on a short vacation there and had dinner in the restaurant. A cozy place to end the evening. There was a burger and a Champion Schnitzel with a beer each. It was very tasty and clearly recommended, but I personally would have liked a side salad or that the plate would have been more distorted. The toilets were clean and generally a clean room.

We were there for the New Year's Eve menu. The food was excellent and the service was super nice.

Food was very tasty! Definitely on the more expensive end in terms of price. Tap water was billed as still water for €4.20 🫠

We were in Schönau am Königssee for 4 days and unfortunately only discovered this beautiful inn by chance on the 2nd day. An absolute stroke of luck!!! We ate here three evenings in a row...always absolutely world class!!! Super nice service, super friendly, rustic atmosphere...you feel right at home. We'll definitely be back... Fam Bodner absolutely No.1. In Schönau and Berchtesgaden🌟🌟🌟🌟. Simply eat mega and no matter what you take, it's delicious 😋. I've been living in Schönau for 1.5 years and was in Munich for 23 years, but Munich can take three slices of the sweet and delicious stuff you get here at Bodner... Kind regards, Thomas

Was here today and I have to say it really appealed to me. We were assigned a seat very quickly and the drinks didn't take long to arrive. The food was very tasty. The service was quick and polite. Why deduct a star; The soup was piping hot and the meat on the grill was only lukewarm. But I don't want to label it as (not possible). I still recommend it because I think it was an isolated case.

Food was excellent. Good price-performance ratio. Compared to other restaurants in town, vegetarian side dishes were included in the meal here. Good country cuisine. Very pleasant in the winter garden, but a bit loud and warm inside due to its size.

Pfefferpfandl was the best thing I have ever eaten, super tender meat from our own slaughterhouse, simply delicious. The service is great, especially the man with short brown hair. The food came very quickly despite the store being full. A must if you are traveling in the area.

When we are on vacation in Schönau, we regularly come over for dinner. The service is very friendly. The food is perfect. I can recommend everything and have never been disappointed. We are already looking forward to our next vacation and visit to Bodner. 😊

An excellent Bavarian restaurant with typical dishes for this region. Very fast and helpful staff in costumes. After paying, especially during dinner hours, the attention of the company is schnapps.

We have been vacationing in Schönau for years and of course we make reservations at the Gasthof Bodner several times. The owners and staff are really super friendly, open-minded, funny and on the ball!!! We've had a lot from the menu and we've never been disappointed 👌🏼 The portions are more than sufficient and the price-performance ratio is absolutely right!!! We are always happy to be with you. Very friendly staff and a lovingly furnished, rustic restaurant. Great! We had a Tafelspitz, a Kas Burger and a Jägerschnitzel. The food was super tasty and the meat was of really good quality! We haven't eaten so well in a long time. Gladly again at any time! The toilets were also very clean and nicely designed. Everything great! Dogs are also welcome!

Sehr nette Bedienung. Wir hatten drei unterschiedliche Essen (Salat mitRindfleischstreifen, Sauerbraten und Wildererteller) alle drei Essen war reichlich und sehr leecker. Sehr Empfehlenswert.

The service is great: Reserved for two people in the morning, then got a table straight away in the evening, the menu in two minutes, a cellar for drinks in two minutes, then warm food in no time and absolutely delicious and plentiful

Attempt number 2: We ate at this restaurant 5 times during our vacation in August/September. Typical and expected solid inn cuisine. Despite reservations made long in advance (8 weeks) and the desire for a side table to be occupied, we sat right in the middle at a group/collection table on the first evening..? Or whatever you can call it... We had a little more luck the following evenings... on two evenings we were asked if we could bring another couple to the table?! I didn't know that either. When ordering the food with starters You should motivate yourself vigorously, which you can do after e.g. Soup is also supplied with the other courses. Unfortunately we waited 3x 50min - 1h for the next course. It's not so great if your partner didn't have a starter... that's a long time... The last dish ordered late was a stuffed schnitzel, which unfortunately was cold in the filling... so unfortunately a point was deducted... A real recommendation are the burger, onion roast and the game dishes on the menu, although my favorite is by far the venison roulade.

Even though the hut was full, the hostess still accommodated us. Service was great. The food too (just could have been a little warmer). Everything is great.

Very good restaurant😋. Luckily we had reserved in advance. That's how we got a table. Others who didn't have reservations had to be sent away because the house was full. Despite the full house, the staff was friendly. There is a familiar atmosphere among the staff and also with the customers. The food was very good. The restaurant is only recommended.

Best food in BGL. Four years later, mass clearance. Tables are allocated every 1.5 hours, and the waitress is then responsible for politely but firmly asking guests to pay and leave. I don't have to have that anymore.

We have been looking for a good restaurant in Schönau for a long time and have finally found it. Very good food, great service. When the temperatures are high, it's best to sit inside or in the beer garden; unfortunately, it's far too hot in the Winrergarten. Otherwise absolutely recommended.

So the food we had was really delicious. Service was friendly and good. What didn't work at all: We had reserved a table outside, which was also promised to us. Instead we were assigned a table in the winter garden. And it was unbearable because of the heat. Dining when it feels like 40 degrees is no joy, no matter how good the food is. Other guests, like us, ate quickly and then quickly disappeared again. We were gone again after 45 minutes. Unfortunately, I imagine a nice dinner on vacation to be different.

A Bavarian restaurant. The cuisine is highly recommended Reginale delicacies. Bavarian cuisine, even my daughter found it very tasty. Great ambience. 🤩🤩👍👍👍 Reservations are more desirable. It's always very well attended.

Was really good. Served braised beef heart with spaetzle and bacon beans. A little retro in terms of the sideboard but really tasty. I think it's great when there aren't always the same dishes and the whole animal is used. There should be more such extraordinary dishes. Price performance absolutely 😀

The food was super delicious there on Friday August 25th, 24, I love cordon bleu and enjoyed it with fried potatoes and sauce, the garlic soup was a culinary delight, if we come back we would be happy to eat there again

We visited this restaurant in summer at around 6:00 p.m. The shop was very busy and we were seated with two other guests. We ordered the Kas Burger and after 25 minutes of waiting we were served it. The burger was great, but roulades and knuckles also looked good at the next table. The best so far

Eigentlich ganz gut, können video nicht richtig schreiben. Sagt einiges. Haben 1,1/2 stunden gewartet um uns an die bar zu sitzen aber keiner kam um uns zum platz zu bringen obwohl an der Eingangstür steht das man auf Bedienung warten soll. Haben uns dann eine pizza neben an besorgt, aber der Junge koch war sehr nett und hat uns gefragt ob wir ein gratis Getränk haben wollen, für die Umstände. Dies lehnten wir aber ab.
