Four of us went to dinner today. Everything was delicious and the staff was super friendly. We immediately felt welcome. The food was also very quick. We'll be back – big compliments to the entire team.

The restaurant is located in an open plain and has parking adjacent to it, the decoration, the ambience and the overall feel was pleasant. The owner allowed us entry and table even though we had no reservation. The food was good and the portions are huge, we had the beef ghoulash and the sauterbrunnen. I would recommend a visit, they have lots of non pork options.

Even though the restaurant was empty, we weren't allowed to sit on the glass-enclosed terrace. The reason given was that they had to set the tables first. Our offer to do it ourselves was ignored. The interior was dark and stuffy, so we opted for one of the many other great restaurants in the area.

We spontaneously made a reservation that same day, and everything worked out. We sat in the beautiful, cozy winter garden. The food was delicious! Especially the baked pork loin. The portion was also very generous. The service was also very friendly. Highly recommended!

On a rainy weekend, we sat on the (glass) terrace at Gasthaus Bodner. With a beautiful view, I had a dark beer and the miner's pan (?). My wife ordered the schnitzel in a mushroom cream sauce with fries. The drinks and food arrived promptly and were worth every euro. A very friendly waitress added the finishing touch. In our opinion, an absolute must for anyone traveling in the area! We'd love to go back!

One of the best inns in Schönau

The Gasthof Bodner is highly recommended! The food is delicious, and you immediately sense the family atmosphere. Although we don't know the owners personally, we felt like we were visiting good friends or family. We especially want to highlight the Kaiserschmarrn – simply heavenly! We've never had anything as good as this. It's often either too greasy or undercooked, but this one was truly perfect. We'll definitely be back!

Very friendly, polite, and quick service. The value for money is absolutely spot on. Dogs are welcome. We sat in the conservatory and had a fantastic view.

We were there for dinner for the first time and had made a reservation. We pointed out that we were coming with dogs. This was handled perfectly, and a table was chosen for us in a corner so our dogs were undisturbed and out of the way. A big compliment to the waitresses: very friendly, accommodating, and quick. The food (beef goulash, mountain farmer's pan, schnitzel) was very tasty and the portions were generous. Only the fried potatoes could have been a bit browner (they were very pale and still a bit hard); there wasn't much of a "fried" appearance. But otherwise, everything was excellent; we'll go again.

The food was good; I could have eaten a second roulade for 23.50 😜. The outdoor area is a paved forecourt with a mountain view.

The food was okay, the fried potatoes were just a quick swirl in the pan :-( We were treated unfriendly at times.

We stopped in for dinner today. The food was truly delicious. Our service was friendly and attentive. Unfortunately, one of the waiters at the counter complained almost the entire time, which was a bit annoying.

We love coming here several times a year to eat. It's a lovely Bavarian restaurant with a diverse menu and drinks list, and no matter what the dish is, it always tastes excellent. Wonderful restaurant, great flavors, delicious beers. After 6:00 PM, it is mandatory to reserve a table because the restaurant is constantly full. Oh, and there are liter jugs! 🤣

Very good food and friendly staff. The portions are truly generous. The menu, in my opinion, leaves nothing to be desired. The inn is open 24/7. Reservations for dinner are recommended, as this restaurant can be fully booked at certain times. The house apricot schnapps is highly recommended.

Reasonable food, Magnificent view, Good prices

I'm pleased to read that it's an excellent restaurant; unfortunately, I didn't have the pleasure of enjoying their food and hospitality because (at 7:15 PM on Sunday, August 17th) we (there were two of us) were turned away: according to the manager, they'd run out of food. We explained in vain that a plate of pasta and two fried eggs would be enough, and when I asked if he could recommend another restaurant nearby, he replied that he didn't know of one. Oh well, maybe next time. For now... good luck.

Very delicious regional dishes. We ate here three times during our 14-day vacation at Königssee. From the pork roast to the pepper pan, from the beef goulash to the napkin dumplings in mushroom sauce, we thoroughly enjoyed each of our three visits. The menu for "little guests" was also very popular with our children. Highly recommended!

The Bodner is still a guest house; a table for ten people was reserved within 90 minutes, and everything went perfectly, thanks only to the fantastic team at Bodner, and the food was perfect as always... that's what a guest house achieves...

Even though we arrived at short notice without a reservation (it's better to book in advance), the very friendly staff offered us a nice table in the conservatory. The food was excellent and the service very good. We can wholeheartedly recommend the restaurant.

We stayed here for a week and ate here every day, trying something different each time. It was delicious every time. The Kaiserschmarren is an absolute must (we've never had anything better). The service is super friendly and hospitable.

We visited Gasthof Bodner during our stay in Schönau am Königssee and absolutely loved it. The food was fresh and full of flavor, the atmosphere cozy and welcoming, and the staff were friendly.

Beautiful place with excellent value for money. Four of us went there for dinner and had four different dishes: zander fillet, Wiener Schnitzel, pasta casserole, and bacon bread. Everything was delicious, perfectly adequate, and reasonably priced. We sat on the glass-enclosed terrace – thank goodness, because it was very warm in the dining room despite the moderate outside temperature. But that's the only thing I have to complain about. Also, you should make a reservation, especially in the evening. Highly recommended!

We were guests at the Gasthof Bodner today at 4:30 p.m. We didn't have a reservation, and the waiter informed us that it would only be open until 5:30 p.m. and we could choose a seat in the winter garden. Everything went well so far. The drinks and food arrived promptly, and it tasted truly delicious. When we were finished, the waiter quickly cleared the table. It was 5:20 p.m. and we were just about to ask for the bill when the waiter approached us and said, "I'm sorry, I have to hold you." I felt like I was being kicked out, especially since we were still within the time slot and the inn wasn't really crowded. It was a real shame...

Simply a fantastic restaurant! I've never experienced such a great experience where everyone on a menu truly enjoyed everything. Absolutely everything, and not just me; my whole family was very satisfied. It became our regular restaurant during our vacation. Incredibly friendly service, and the view, especially, simply invites you to relax and enjoy.

Very good, typical Bavarian restaurant (snitzel, cordon bleu, spatula). We enjoyed the generous and tasty dishes. The children were very well-served, with drawings and colored pencils available. However, you have to eat at German time because we couldn't have dessert when we arrived at 8 p.m. because the kitchen was closed at dessert time.

We had a wonderful meal here, with a very large selection of Bavarian specialties and an extensive senior menu. The service was very organized, motivated, and always pleasant and friendly despite the large number of guests! Highly recommended!

It was incredibly delicious!! I had the cheese burger, which I highly recommend. The chocolate cake with a liquid center had a liquid center that was very good. Everything was very well organized. We didn't have to wait long for drinks or food. We highly recommend this place, but make sure you reserve a table!
