Fresh beer, delicious cordon bleu or roast pork with fried potatoes, and freshly made Kaiserschmarrn. Everything was top-notch, the atmosphere was cozy, the service was friendly, and the portions were generous. We'll definitely be back.

The main courses are a traditional recommendation. Always a pleasure.

I orderes fish here. They told me that the fish is from Königssee. The ambience was very authentic, you feel the local sense. The service was fast. It is a bit expensive but for this kind of place, it is acceptable.

This is our favorite place to stop after our hikes. Great service, cozy hut atmosphere, excellent food, and a prime location below the Jenner mountain near Lake Königssee. We highly recommend the cheese spaetzle, tarte flambée, and three kinds of dumplings! Always worth a visit! Advance reservations are recommended.

We ate there in September 2025. My wife had cheese spaetzle sprinkled with dried onions. Why not freshly roasted? My chicken schnitzel was still dripping with oil. Our food arrived five minutes after ordering. When I politely said that we didn't like the food and that I considered it fast food, we were completely ignored. We had to ask for the bill several times.

We stopped there on September 4, 2025. A warm welcome, the lady and gentleman in traditional Bavarian costume, just as it should be. The food, how can I put it, was truly Michelin-starred cuisine! We were here for lunch today. The service was super friendly, and everything was beautifully decorated. The food was delicious. Unfortunately, the cordon bleu was out, and my sausage salad was very small for the price... so it's a star deducted.

Everything here is truly top-notch. Even dogs are well looked after here; not only is a bowl of water provided, but there's also a small bag of food. The ham hock I ordered was first-class.

We arrived after 7pm - the kitchen was actually already closed - but we still got our food without any problems - and it was really good - and the service was also very friendly - I rarely write reviews, but in this case it was important to me - satisfied customers 😀

We always eat here when we're on vacation in the area. It's a tradition for us. The trio dumplings are always incredibly delicious, but everything else is really good too. The ambiance is also great, both inside and out. We're already looking forward to our next visit.

I can't say anything about this restaurant. I found a seat and got the menu. After waiting 10 minutes, I grabbed my things and went to the next restaurant. The waitress seemed a bit lazy today, even though there were only 10 customers sitting there. The service at the next restaurant was very good, and so was the pizza.

I highly recommend this place. The food was delicious and served super quickly. The portions were generous – often with a fresh, tasty side salad. The staff was friendly and very attentive. The quaint ambiance invites you to linger both inside and outside. We'd love to come back.

Cozy, rustic restaurant in a prime location. The service was excellent. I had a knuckle of pork. It was delicious. It had a good crust and juicy meat.

Extremely good food, and if you get the right seat, you get a perfect view of the Jenner! It can get quite crowded in summer.

The actual beer prices do not match the drinks menu. We complained about this twice, most recently on June 12, 2025. The response each time was that there was a new menu.

I had roast pork with gravy and cheese spaetzle – overall, the meal was unfortunately only mediocre. The roast pork itself was cooked, but the gravy was too thin and lacking in flavor, which took away some of the dish's flavor. The presentation also seemed rather lackluster; it could have been better with a little effort. The cheese spaetzle were okay – not outstanding, but solid. Well-seasoned, with enough cheese, but nothing special either. The service was positive: friendly, attentive, and pleasantly unobtrusive. There was nothing to complain about there. Conclusion: It was okay, but not a culinary highlight. With more attention to detail, the food could be significantly improved.

We were there on a Saturday lunchtime with seven people. There was plenty of space. The atmosphere is really cozy and quaint, but it's a shame that the staff and the quality of the food wasn't very appealing. Our waitress was not only arrogant but also very taciturn. She didn't even bother to say whether we wanted to order something or reorder - we always had to actively approach her. The meal took a good 30 minutes. The Brettljause was carelessly presented and placed on the board from the packaging. The Nockerl were hard and the Kaiserschmarrn was also hard and overly sweetened. The only thing that tasted good in the group were the fries. I hope it was just a bad day - we certainly won't be coming again because the price and quality simply don't match up.

Unfortunately, we cannot understand the good reviews, at least with regard to the food. All 3 types of dumplings were extremely dry (probably overcooked) and the salad tasted bitter and looked old. When we told the waitress, they said everything was normal, today's salad and the dish was an absolute hit. In about 20 years of vacationing in Bavaria, these were the worst dumplings I've ever had

When we spoke to the waitress at the counter, she said that although there were no seats left outside, we could sit anywhere inside. As soon as we were seated, another waitress came and said that the kitchen was at capacity and had no more capacity. When I went out, I observed how more guests were being welcomed, but there was probably still space available. My personal feeling was that it was pure harassment.

Friendly staff, atmosphere is cozy Bavarian. The soup was over-salted, the salad was soggy, too little salt and a lot of sugar in the dressing, topped with plenty of ready-made potato salad. It's a shame, the restaurant offers so much, a little more effort when eating and everything would be fine.

We have enjoyed coming here for years. Be it for a beer after a hike, for a cozy dinner or for an extensive birthday party. The staff here is particularly praiseworthy. Always friendly and up for a chat.

Very well recommended. We thought it's another restaurant near a popular scenic spot, offering a quick bite, but we were so wrong. The food were excellent, incl the crispy pork and the curry sausage with fries. Very difficult not to finish the dishes.

After a successful descent, a typical Bavarian snack is a must 💪. I decided on the “HüttenGroßel” with fried eggs. In my opinion, 5 stars are not enough for this meal, I am so thrilled because everything is freshly prepared. The fried potatoes and vegetables were crisp and fresh. My visit was therefore very satisfactory and the service was quick and very friendly. Service is very important there and I clearly felt comfortable. The portions are very large and therefore the price-performance ratio is justified - card payment is possible.

You must try the grilled trout when you come to King Lake. It is very delicious, fresh and sweet, and the grilled meat still retains its elasticity and original flavor; there are also hand-made apple pie and appetizer soup. Overall, I am very satisfied with this meal at the hut next to King Lake🥰🫶🏻🇩🇪

Very nice restaurant from the outside as well as the inside, everything was beautifully decorated and lit and very cozy. The service was ok and quick. Unfortunately the food wasn't to our taste. The veal schnitzel was very tough and really small. The fries that came with it were very good. The roulade was very firm and fibrous and the red cabbage was completely overcooked and mushy. The dumplings were good. We also had a small side salad that was unfortunately tasteless like it came out of a bag and had no dressing. Maybe we had a bad day, but I would still like to give an authentic review.

We had delicious Kaiserschmarrn and goulash soup. The service was very friendly and we didn't have to wait long. The restaurant is located directly at the Jennerbahn valley station and just a 3-minute walk from the Königssee parking lot.

Incredible service and friendliness!! We were there on 12/20/24 after a visit to Jenner. Without looking at the menu, I asked for a warm eggnog punch. Christina, the waitress, said she didn't know that, but would manage it somehow. I couldn't believe it, I googled the recipe myself, went to the bar and the ladies there were already doing some magic and were clearly having fun with it. (Ingredients: warm milk/ eggnog/ and a dash of rum with icing on top). The result was great and we even got one 2nd variant offered to try. This is how service and hospitality works! We felt like we were staying with dear friends. Facilities: Rustic, cozy wooden hut to the right below the Jennerbahn. We'll definitely come back and try the food. THANKS

Nice restaurant, cozy, rustic furnishings. The service is friendly and careful. The food is generally good, but you should also use spices in the kitchen and the portion sizes are limited, so one star is deducted. The prices are completely okay. There are enough parking spaces available.

We spent a week in Schönau/Berchtesgaden, and by far we ate the best here! The service staff were super nice and very accommodating. The ambience is exactly what you would imagine in a rustic and cozy inn! Absolutely recommended and we will definitely come back.

The apple strudel with vanilla sauce wasn't to my taste, the apples were still firm to the bite and the sauce didn't taste much like vanilla. The berry punch was very sour and the glass was filled with frozen berry mix, not really tasty. The blueberry Kaiserschmarrn was good but also very, very sweet because it was caramelized with sugar.

After this wonderfully beautiful day at Königsee and on the Jenner viewing platform, you have to end the day with a great dinner in the “Jenner-Kaser”! Although we didn't make a reservation, we received a very friendly welcome and were immediately given a comfortable place. The service was super nice, drinks came very quickly and we didn't have to wait long for the food. The Kaiserschmarren with blueberries and vanilla ice cream was a DREAM! Five stars with further recommendation!

Went there twice and were satisfied. Except for the dumplings and the fried potatoes, they were kept warm for too long and had formed a skin. But cabbage, duck, meat loaf, schnitzel and the deer goulash were good and the service was great.

We were there once years ago, but we only had a drink there. This time we thought we could grab something to eat there after our descent. The service was friendly and on the ball. The food (devil's toast) also came very quickly. However, we were a little disappointed. The taste was okay, but the portions weren't big at all. I gave my husband the rest of my food so he could be full. We told the waitress that too, but they don't seem to respond to criticism, they just laugh at it. Price-performance 👎🏼 It's a shame for such a great hut.

Unfortunately we fell for the good reviews. We didn't like the Kässpätzle (with paprika powder), the dumplings, let alone the Kaiserschmarren. The consistency of the Kaiserschmarren was like pudding and it was completely soaked in fat. Not recommended.

This was by far the worst food we have eaten in weeks. Kässpätzle with paprika powder and raw onions? The dumplings tasted like ready-made products from the freezer. The Kaiserschmarren was dripping with oil. Really a disaster in terms of taste. The consistency was jelly-like. When the waitress asked us if we liked it, we answered honestly. Then she just said: “Well, that’s how it is with us.”
