Nice restaurant, cozy, rustic furnishings. The service is friendly and careful. The food is generally good, but you should also use spices in the kitchen and the portion sizes are limited, so one star is deducted. The prices are completely okay. There are enough parking spaces available.

We spent a week in Schönau/Berchtesgaden, and by far we ate the best here! The service staff were super nice and very accommodating. The ambience is exactly what you would imagine in a rustic and cozy inn! Absolutely recommended and we will definitely come back.

The apple strudel with vanilla sauce wasn't to my taste, the apples were still firm to the bite and the sauce didn't taste much like vanilla. The berry punch was very sour and the glass was filled with frozen berry mix, not really tasty. The blueberry Kaiserschmarrn was good but also very, very sweet because it was caramelized with sugar.

After this wonderfully beautiful day at Königsee and on the Jenner viewing platform, you have to end the day with a great dinner in the “Jenner-Kaser”! Although we didn't make a reservation, we received a very friendly welcome and were immediately given a comfortable place. The service was super nice, drinks came very quickly and we didn't have to wait long for the food. The Kaiserschmarren with blueberries and vanilla ice cream was a DREAM! Five stars with further recommendation!

Went there twice and were satisfied. Except for the dumplings and the fried potatoes, they were kept warm for too long and had formed a skin. But cabbage, duck, meat loaf, schnitzel and the deer goulash were good and the service was great.

We were there once years ago, but we only had a drink there. This time we thought we could grab something to eat there after our descent. The service was friendly and on the ball. The food (devil's toast) also came very quickly. However, we were a little disappointed. The taste was okay, but the portions weren't big at all. I gave my husband the rest of my food so he could be full. We told the waitress that too, but they don't seem to respond to criticism, they just laugh at it. Price-performance 👎🏼 It's a shame for such a great hut.

This was by far the worst food we have eaten in weeks. Kässpätzle with paprika powder and raw onions? The dumplings tasted like ready-made products from the freezer. The Kaiserschmarren was dripping with oil. Really a disaster in terms of taste. The consistency was jelly-like. When the waitress asked us if we liked it, we answered honestly. Then she just said: “Well, that’s how it is with us.”

Unfortunately we fell for the good reviews. We didn't like the Kässpätzle (with paprika powder), the dumplings, let alone the Kaiserschmarren. The consistency of the Kaiserschmarren was like pudding and it was completely soaked in fat. Not recommended.

Quaint restaurant, lovingly furnished. Food tasty and good value for money. Given the location, higher prices are expected. Farm duck with dumplings and red cabbage tasted very good, unfortunately everything arrived at the table only lukewarm. The waitress was sorry and immediately reported it to the kitchen. Get small compensation. Some people don't care about that, I found it very thoughtful. I'll still come back, it was also the first time that there was something to complain about. The restaurant is definitely worth recommending.

Great ambience, service very nice despite the stress. Everything was very clean and beautifully decorated. Dogs are also welcome. It was ok, but suffers from being too expensive for the small portions. We're not good eaters, but unfortunately we weren't full. Beer goulash with dumplings for 16.90 euros, 4 small pieces of goulash, well... it was very, very little. The taste was ok too, but not so great that we would come back. Too bad...

Did you take a wrong turn on the Malerwinkel circular route? Me too. And the actual short circular route became long without water. 33 degrees, and then rescue just below the Jennerbahn. Ice cold light. Food looked good, I'll try it next time. Nice location with lots of space inside and outside and friendly service.

The restaurant is not far from the gondola and is beautifully furnished. The ambience is perfectly coordinated and there are enough spaces both inside and outside. Unfortunately I have to deduct a few points when it comes to food. It was tasty, but it wasn't anything special. The Berchtesgardener Schnitzel does not receive any recommendation from me. The schnitzel is similar to a frozen schnitzel and the fries tasted pretty bland. In addition, the portion size is really not large. For the high price you get much more at other restaurants. Price/performance doesn't fit. The service was great. The service was very nice and accommodating. There is a star deduction because we had to wait quite a while to finally pay. If the terrace is full, you should think about having multiple servers.

Very good Kaiserschmarrn. Unfortunately we had to contend with the wasps, but the very friendly waitress immediately gave us a fly swatter.

Very nice restaurant with a nice beer garden right at the Jennerbahn valley station. Price-performance ok, food and drinks were perfect and very tasty, even if the crispy knuckle cost me a lot. The waitresses were quite busy. Apparently, like everywhere else, there is a shortage of staff there. But it went quite quickly and friendly.

After a day's bike ride, my husband and I stopped in and the service that came straight away was super friendly. The appetizers also came very quickly. However, there was a wasp at the bottom of the goulash soup. Another waitress came and cleared the dishes and we talked about the wasp in the soup. She replied rudely and uncomprehendingly that that could happen. We were irritated by her non-hospitable response. Then we waited more than an hour for the main course and we were no longer hungry. Then our first service finally arrived with the main course. It wasn't lost on her that we had waited a long time for the food. We also told her again about the wasp in the soup. She then apologized and said that of course we didn't have to pay for the soup. A short time later she came back and said that we had to pay for the soup because we had almost finished it and her boss didn't agree with her decision. However, the wasp was at the bottom of the soup. She was visibly embarrassed. We politely declined a schnapps or coffee, which she had offered us as an alternative, as it was already getting dark and we still had to ride our bikes home.

I was looking forward to the knuckle, but unfortunately it wasn't there anymore. The pretzel schnitzel was ok, unfortunately not the good substitute I had hoped for. It's just a matter of taste. The spaghetti with rocket and tomatoes couldn't save the evening either. Maybe. We were just a bit unlucky and will still come back again. There is nothing to complain about in terms of service and facilities.

I don't know where the good reviews come from. Apparently there needs to be a new chef working there now. Had roast pork with (supposedly) homemade bread dumplings and coleslaw. the meat was tough, the dumplings were never homemade (I'm a chef myself) and the sauce was about 2 tablespoons. the best part was the coleslaw! The portions have already been written about here, I went home still hungry. I won't be coming back, it's a shame because the restaurant is very nicely decorated in a rustic style

Directly below the Jenner cable car is the very rustic alpine hut with a wonderful view of the mountains. Food, service and ambience were fine.

Service seems fake friendly. Most of the food is warmed up and therefore dry. Cheese spaetzle were out of the bag, but the menu said homemade ones. Unfortunately, our bill was issued incorrectly, which meant that we would have paid for the table next door. Luckily my wife noticed it straight away. Well...everything just has a strange taste.....for us it's just a one-time visit.

We rested there in February. This is a very nice restaurant, both outside and inside. It is well located and has the best atmosphere. All waiters are positive and fast. Food and drinks were served quickly. The dishes are cheap, but they are very filling and very tasty. The beer is delicious!

Stopped here on the way to Königssee and didn't regret it. Very tasty Kässpätzle and good beer! Price performance appropriate and the lady from the service was nice and quick!

I don't understand the negative reviews. It is clear that an Alm on the Jennerbahn does not make every dumpling itself. You look for a family-run restaurant. The service was quick, friendly and attentive. We sat comfortably. The white sausage was great in taste and so was the coffee setting with a fluffy apricot cake still warm and with plenty of cream.

This restaurant is in a gorgeous location with plenty of outdoor seating. The staff was very friendly and spoke English. The food was very good. I had a trout dish that was exceptional for a very reasonable price.

We sat in the covered area, which was very rustic and beautiful. The Berchtesgadener Schnitzel filled with bacon and paprika cheese was very tasty, as was the Leberkäse with egg and fried potatoes. The trio of dumplings was good, quite hearty with mountain cheese.

Very tasty food. Went there once in the afternoon for coffee and cake. Cake totally delicious and homemade. Dinner was also great, but I'm only giving it 4 stars because I've already had roast pork that was even better - but that's still complaining on a high level! The service is great. Always friendly and dogs are also welcome. There is even a water bowl for the four-legged friends at the entrance!

A real piece of gold in Berchtesgarden. The family-run restaurant is simply fantastic. The location right on the Jennerbahn and the beautiful terrace invite you to linger. The staff as well as the food are simply great. I definitely recommend the devil's toast or the Kaiserschmarrn! It was the best I've ever tried. The loving furnishings and the little goats in front of the hut make the experience perfect. 🤩 I will gladly come again! 😘

Great service, food was very good, only the pancake soup was a bit too watery, hence one star less. But it's not all that bad when the service handles the feedback so perfectly. Happens far too rarely. We'll definitely be back. A year ago I would have said that the prices are high. 4 people 70€ 4 drinks and 3 main courses. Prices are now fairly normal.

I've actually eaten there at least 4 times a year for 10 years. But what I experienced on my last visit really can't be compared with other visits there. Waiting time until a condition wanted to take my order was 20 minutes. Note, not all tables were occupied. For food I simply ordered ham noodles. These were just dripping with oil. It was spaghetti with crumbled ham and salad that lacked freshness. I'm really sorry to see how the waitresses almost run themselves over the edge. The trash cans in the toilets were overflowing with things lying next to them, the soap was empty, and the disinfectant next to the stairs was also empty. My wish would be... Take your time and don't forget, people want to switch off and not have any unrest when they're being served.
