Hotel Sonne Füssen in Füssen

Excellent breakfast and staff is friendly. Very short hours for the sauna which doesn't open until 5pm. The fitness center doesn't really exist, it's a very small room with 3 cardio pieces. My room was extremely small, there was mold on the window seals which took 2 days to resolve. Room is also very hot. Refrigerator was broken.

Unfortunately a very disappointing experience. The waitress (around 50 years old, brunette) was unfriendly right from the start and seemed annoyed when we wanted to sit outside. Instead of being welcoming, it felt like our presence was a nuisance. The service was correspondingly abrupt and not very trying. In the end we didn't leave a tip because of the poor service - she then made a rude comment that she was "out especially for us". That's not how you treat guests. The location and drinks were good, but definitely not a recommendation!

Everything is just perfect. Great hotel with nice staff and an absolutely brilliant breakfast. The rooms are large and furnished with a lot of love and the wellness area invites you to linger. The hotel restaurant is also highly recommended and if you are looking for a top location, this is the right place.

When we booked for 5 people, we were given a room that only had sleeping places. The restaurant in the hotel is really good though.

A magical hotel with a fantastic SPA oasis and an incomparably excellent breakfast buffet with very good service. The only drawback: When we checked in at the reception, we were greeted without asking. I (a self-trained hotel manager from a star restaurant) found this unpleasant and somewhat unprofessional. Otherwise really recommended, we would be happy to come back. :)

Very family friendly, great location (right on the pedestrian zone), cheap parking, outstanding breakfast, huge rooms and courteous staff. We are thrilled and would love to come back, ideal starting point for excursions. We had a room with 3 small children and it was ideal. There were even chocolates for breakfast for my birthday. Great recommendation!

My room was a small junk room with a 60s look… - not appropriate for the price of over 100.- and not what would be expected from 4 stars

Everything was just great, from the friendliness and care of the staff to the breakfast and the bar. Great selection of food, great design of the rooms, and everything was very clean and comfortable. I would also like to mention the wellness area, very pleasant smells, quiet atmosphere, very tasty free tea. The location of the hotel is also well chosen: there is a castle and grocery stores nearby. Overall, my friend and I really enjoyed it! We recommend it. Thank you very much 😊

Very nice hotel, very good central location, friendly staff, great breakfast with a large selection, very nice wellness area, easy booking of massages, We had a double room with an open bathroom, something to keep in mind if you're not that familiar

We have been to the Hotel Sonne several times and we have always really liked it. The breakfast is very tasty and varied and the location is fantastic. Unfortunately, during the last two stays, some old products could be found at the breakfast buffet. Some of the cheese was already bulging, the hummus and sweet mustard were very dried out and the white sausages didn't really look appetizing either because they were already dried on top. In the wellness area, the shower drains were blocked, resulting in large puddles, which pose a risk.

Stayed at the Hotel Sonne in Füssen from November 24th to November 26th, 2022. We had booked the beautiful, large room Large Plus Ludwig II. This room had a lot of space and a huge bathtub. Poor hospitality as we had a bad experience with the reception, otherwise the hotel has great ambience and rooms. We have read the reviews before we booked this, first night was amazing, however the following day we went to the reception to get a stamp to redeem 8 free credits for declining the room-cleaning service, the receptionist said no stamp was needed and promised to arrange accordingly for us after taking our number. At night we decided to have some drinks at their restaurant and tried to make use of the free credits but was denied. So we went to the reception again to check, a staff from another shift was being low key rude to us, as if we were trying to steal the free credits because we do not have the stamps? We were asking nicely for him to check in the system as the lady in the morning promised that she would arrange for us. Felt like he was being racist to us, and as we recall, the female staff in the morning wasn’t even handling the process correctly. The whole complaint process was unpleasant, as the staff was talking to us in a very patronising tone, including the waiter at the restaurant when we were requesting about the credits. We’re happy to pay, and if you’re not happy about giving out free credits, don’t offer it.

I stayed at Hotel Sonne Füssen and was initially excited about their "No Room Cleaning Credit" program, where guests receive credits for skipping daily cleaning. Unfortunately, the experience turned out to be extremely unpleasant. We followed the rules and did not request or receive any cleaning during our stay. However, when we tried to claim the credits, the staff accused us of cheating the system! What made it worse was how unfriendly and dismissive they were—likely because we are Asian. It felt like they automatically assumed we were trying to scam them, just to get free drinks at their bar. This kind of treatment was insulting and completely unprofessional. If the hotel isn’t serious about honoring this program, they shouldn’t offer it at all. Blaming guests for their own poor management and displaying bias toward certain groups is unacceptable. Oh ya especially if you’re Asian or expect to be treated with basic respect and fairness

We had a wonderful weekend in Füssen, also thanks to this great hotel. Very friendly staff, beautiful rooms and a very rich breakfast buffet. We'll definitely be back. Highly recommended

The hotel is so worth staying. Excellent experience. The front desk service was great, breakfast and dinner at the hotel restaurant were amazing.

Sehr schönes Hotel, zentral gelegen, mit sauberen und geräumigen Zimmern. Ein ganz großes Lob geht vor allem an das Personal (vor allem an der Rezeption). So authentisch, freundlich und hilfsbereit gibt es leider selten.

A well appointed hotel. The room was large and comfortable, the breakfast provided a good amount of variety and the spa area was lovely.

Tolles und liebevoll eingerichtetes Hotel, die Zimmer sind groß und sauber, die Betten bequem und die Ausstattung der Zimmer ist gut. Es gibt ein Tablet, mit dem man sich über das Hotel informieren kann, oder mit der Rezeption chattet. Klasse digitalisiert! Super freundliches Personal! Das Frühstück ist Oberklasse und sucht seines gleichen. Eine toller und liebevoll eingerichteter Saunabereich. Sehr zentrale Lage. Hunde sind willkommen, aber mit 20 Euro pro Übernachtung nicht günstig. Was auch hervorragend ist, es gibt für eAutos eine Lademöglichkeit (aktuell bei Bewertung: 10 Euro pauschal). Was wir vom Preis her absolut klasse fanden da andere Hotels hier mit hohen kWh Preisen oder hohen Pauschalen abzocken. Wir können das Hotel nur allerwärmstens empfehlen und würden jederzeit wieder kommen.

Appena arrivati ci è stato comunicato che la camera assegnata sarebbe stata più grande di quella che avevamo prenotato, senza aggravio economico!! La vacanza inizia bene!! Il resto è stato pure meglio, la camera effettivamente era perfetta, moderna e silenziosa, pulita e riordinata la mattina dal servizio in camera con molta cura. Il buffet della colazione è tra i migliori che abbia mai visto, la Spa che ci accoglie dopo un giorno di camminate sulla neve è un momento perfetto per potersi godere meglio la cena, che, come da foto allegata, è allo stesso livello del resto, se esiste la perfezione, qui ci andiamo vicini!! Mi manca già!!! Viva Füssen!

Ein wunderschönes Hotel mit einer mega schönen Einrichtung. Das Konzept ist bis ins kleinste Detail durchdacht. Die Zimmer sind groß und sehr geräumig. Das Frühstück war der Hammer! So eine tolle Auswahl! Das Personal war durch die Bank weg, freundlich und bei allen Anliegen, zuvorkommend und flexibel. Für uns ab sofort die einzige Anlaufstelle in Füssen.

Waren nur zum Essen da. Sehr guter Kaiserschmarren und Apfelstrudel. Große Portionen, das macht den etwas höheres Preis wieder wett. Top Qualität
