A spontaneous find while strolling through Füssen. We've been here three times now and it's always been great. Good food, good wine… what more could you want? We'll definitely be back! Thank you!!! Note: Reservations are recommended!

The fish was cooked perfectly, the recommended wine was good, and the tiramisu was delicious. At the end of the evening, a Calabrian grappa, Paternum... I have to buy a bottle. I visited Il Pescatore today. A lovely, cozy pizzeria. Very homey, nice decor, and generally friendly service. That it sometimes takes a little longer is no problem. The fact that the place is packed when the quality is good is a great indicator of customer satisfaction. The pizza was good, the tortellini excellent, as was the tiramisu. But... when I was told after almost an hour that I had to leave the table, even though our glasses were still half full and we would have liked to order more... that was beyond bad. The restaurant business is by no means easy, no question. But to politely usher people out because you can't control the chaos is regrettable. For me, it was more than disappointing, and that's putting it mildly. Therefore... NOT RECOMMENDED!!!

Il Pescatore in Füssen is a wonderful place to enjoy authentic Italian food. We ordered pizza bread, Caprese salad, mussels, and lasagna, and everything was absolutely delicious. The ingredients were fresh and full of flavor, and each dish was prepared perfectly. The service was excellent: friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was cozy and welcoming. A great spot for a relaxed and enjoyable meal. Highly recommended.

Out of all the restaurants in Füssen this was the best restaurant I went to, even coming back for a second meal the next day. The seafood platter pasta for 2 was delicious along with its fresh clams and the hand made pasta with a creamy truffle sauce was amazing. It’s a nice quaint restaurant and staff is kind and, highly recommend this restaurant when in the area.

Spending a night alone in Füssen, I longed for a warm, authentic, and good Italian restaurant. Do you have a regular Italian restaurant like that back home? Then you know what I mean, and if you're ever in Füssen, go to Philippo's.

The price-performance ratio here is unfortunately a bit off. Yes, everything has gotten more expensive lately, and yes, we're in a tourist hotspot. So far, so clear, but even taking that into account, you're left wondering what you actually paid for. It's the first Italian restaurant in my life where you don't get a bread basket, even though everyone ordered a salad as a starter. The pasta may be handmade and good, but four filled pasta parcels for over 20 euros? The pizza is similar: good, but not exactly generously topped (a few capers, anchovies, and olives), and it also costs almost 20 euros. The restaurant is unfortunately very cramped, and yet, reservation or not, they say, "you have to be out after 90 minutes," as each guest is only given a maximum one-and-a-half-hour time slot.

If you're looking for a truly good Italian restaurant, this is the place to go. The food is high-quality and excellent. The atmosphere is lovely and so cozy. Unfortunately, the pictures on Google don't do it justice.

We ate here twice during our vacation in Füssen. It wasn't exactly cheap, but the quality was outstanding. I had the best spinach gorgonzola sauce I've ever had here. We'll definitely be back on our next visit to Füssen. Reservations are highly recommended. It was always packed, and a visit is well worth it from a culinary perspective.

A very nice Italian restaurant with a great atmosphere. Limited seating inside, so reservations are essential. The outdoor area is spacious and has a tablecloth. The wine list is excellent and extensive. Delicious food, and the service is friendly and attentive. We'd gladly return.

A true Italian! Delicious antipasti and pasta dishes in a pleasant atmosphere. The heated outdoor terrace made it possible to dine without a reservation on October 21st. Considering the quality, I think it was well-attended. Enjoyed it.

It's a small place a bit isolated from the center of Füssen. It's very cozy and everyone is very attentive. I think everyone speaks Italian. The pizza is excellent, with very good flour. The pizza base is crispy and not soft like Neapolitan pizza. Highly recommended.

Genuine flavours and tasty real Italian cooking is what you get here. Be sure to reserve a table as the place is, accordingly to its reputation, quite popular. Great wines as well. The atmosphere is pretty down to earth. Service is in an Italian style personal. Do not expect overpoliteness 😉

The waiter served the wrong thing, couldn't understand English, and was messy. There is room for improvement.

Got a seat even without a reservation. Very friendly staff, and the food came really quickly. Good-sized portions (a bit too much salt). The only thing that bothered me a bit personally was the two-sentence, three-word Italian that you find in tourist hotspots (including Rothenburg, for example). But otherwise, super nice. For the pana cotta, I was asked if I wanted just strawberry or pistachio—or both—very tasty.

I was consistently turned away on a Sunday lunchtime at 2:20 p.m. because I was making lunch myself. A quick 200 meters further toward the city center, I found an open-plan location, where I was warmly welcomed and had a very good Italian meal.

I don't understand the positive reviews. The ambiance is very nice, but my meal was completely unloved: no oil, no salt or pepper at the table, and bread from the day before. No one asked if it tasted good. And the prices were too high for that. But apparently, they can handle tourists. But maybe I just had the "wrong" dish. What a shame!

We had a delicious meal. For dessert, I had the homemade tiramisu, which, in my opinion, could have been a bit sweeter. It was also very cocoa-rich, and the crust was very runny. The service was very friendly and fast. You receive a lot of attention.

Was ok! Pasta portion was big enough but was for all 4 of us too salty and bit watery but it was fine.

A complete disaster, the food was good but the service was literally a WAITER!!! He didn't consider it important to give us money!!! We paid €50 and the lunch cost €42, the waiter automatically and without asking kept €8. If we didn't react immediately, the waiter would leave with our money!!!!k DISASTER!!!!!

A Truly Authentic Italian Delight! I recently had the pleasure of dining at here! and was thoroughly impressed! From the moment I walked in, the ambiance transported me straight to Italy, with a wonderfully authentic Italian vibe that made the experience truly special. The food was absolutely outstanding. The Margarita pizza was nothing short of delicious, perfectly baked with fresh ingredients, and the pasta was incredibly flavorful. To top it all off, the homemade tiramisu was a wonderful and authentic treat. Beyond the fantastic food, the staff was incredibly friendly, making the entire visit even more enjoyable. There are better pizzas and pastas, nothing special.

The two of us spontaneously stopped by for lunch and got a table. The staff was super attentive and courteous. And the pizzas we ordered were top-notch and absolutely recommendable, especially for the price.

Yesterday (August 16, 2025) I had dinner with my wife at Il Pescatore. Being the gullible person I am, I chose a dish under the heading: "The chef recommends: Tortellacci with "chanterelles" and scampi." Although the restaurant advertises fresh chanterelles everywhere, my chanterelles were clearly from a jar or can. That shouldn't happen at "The Italian in Füssen" (according to their own advertising). I wouldn't have cared if the chanterelles had come from the region or from Lithuania, as long as they were reasonably fresh. Otherwise, we were both quite satisfied. To the chef: Just consider this constructive criticism.

The food is good, but the service leaves something to be desired, to put it mildly. Please note: don't wear fancy caps or hats, as this could affect the waiters' service. (They apparently prefer crazy tattoos!)

An excellent restaurant! Beautiful outdoor setting (I didn't see the interior). I especially recommend the grilled fish! They have real expertise! The desserts are also both delicate and not overly sweet, as is so often the case in restaurants.

The service was friendly, but the food didn't impress us. The seafood was unfortunately frozen, and the spaghetti Bolognese was mostly just a tomato sauce. The pizza was quite good. What really surprised us, however, was the still water for €6.50, which was clearly tap water. Had we known that, we definitely would have ordered something else for the same price. Unfortunately, we wouldn't recommend it, as the quality wasn't convincing.

We had a fantastic meal. A nice selection of pizza and pasta. Lots of good wines to try. The dessert menu was a bit limited, but that didn't bother us. We received excellent service and enjoyed our meal.

Very nice restaurant. We had a reservation, which is recommended, as there are limited seats available. The service was prompt and very friendly. The food was excellent. I would eat here more often, but unfortunately we were only in town on vacation. Update from July 22, 2025: The food and service this time were much worse than we remembered. We ordered vitello tonnato as a starter again. The capers were missing. The sauce barely tasted of tuna. The tuna steak as a main course had an unusual consistency, reminiscent of defrosted fish. We left a lot of money there, which didn't reflect the quality. We didn't order dessert. Since the 1.5 hours allotted to us when we made the reservation had already passed, and we didn't want to experience another disappointment, we won't be visiting this restaurant again and won't recommend it to anyone.

Food was absolutely terrible boardering on inedible hadn't I been starving. The Lasagna was just swimming in marinara and bechamel and kinda looked like frozen lasagna they put in an oven dish to serve to the table. The waiter also seemed down right annoyed and kind of aggressive. Maybe the other food is great, but I do not understand the stellar reviews.

We had dinner with our family at the "Il Pescatore" restaurant last night and were absolutely thrilled. The quality and taste of the food were excellent – ​​every dish was freshly prepared and full of flavor. We would especially like to emphasize the professionalism and friendliness of the staff. A young employee with Italian roots took particularly good care of us, which made the evening even more enjoyable. Our children were very content and happy, which is of course especially important for us as parents. We adults also felt very comfortable. We highly recommend the "Il Pescatore" restaurant – for families, couples, or simply a lovely evening with good food and excellent service. I left the empty bottles behind.
