We went there for dinner four times during our vacation. Every time we enjoyed the excellent cuisine. The food offers something for every palate, everything is very tasteful with that certain something, very friendly and attentive service staff. Highly recommended!!

Food was great. It would only be perfect if you got cranberries with the schnitzel or cord on bleu and not ketchup or mayonnaise. That would also fit in the region. 😉

Just drinking something isn't possible. That doesn't work at all! If this is going to work, then the owner should also communicate this to his staff.

Ich war mit meiner Tochter beim Essen, wir haben beide Sauerbraten gegessen umd der war nur gut, besser kann man ihn zu Hause nicht machen. Die Weinauswahl ist auch super und der service top. Man kann das Gasthaus zum Schwanen nur empfehlen, für Füssen eine absolute Bereicherung. Kompliment 👍👍👍

We have been to Füssen several times with our motorhome and have always eaten here at least once. It worked without a reservation. We ate game. The food is very good and the staff is very friendly and the atmosphere is also harmonious. Any time. No reason to complain.

Very nice and pleasant atmosphere, great service from Toni and delicious food. Finally some cheese patties with white paint, that's how it sounds! We definitely recommend it and would be happy to come back! Addendum: I had dinner again at Schwanen the next evening and was completely satisfied again. Great food with 1A food and a top professional and friendly team!

With the best will in the world I can't complain here. The fly in the ointment cannot be found. A great rustic, chic atmosphere paired with very friendly and hard-working service make the stay more than pleasant. All dishes were a visual highlight and a taste highlight of our trip through the Allgäu. Absolute tip from me: the venison schnitzel!

Luckily we were there early. The location, the food and the service were completely convincing. Also the prices.

With 7 people in the restaurant, called the evening before and made a reservation. 5 adults and 2 children got their money's worth. Beef Wellington, duck leg, children's schnitzel with fries and one of the starters was beef tartare. The staff was super friendly and very quick. No order was wrong and drinks were delivered quickly. Incredibly delicious Bavarian home cooking with very friendly and attentive service. Reservations make sense, but everything is possible to get a table, so as a guest you never have the feeling of “having to hurry up with your food”. The daily changing menu of delicious desserts is also great. Conclusion: Simply highly recommended! That's why we were there four days in a row ;-)

We were looking for a restaurant with traditional, home-style cuisine at an upscale level - and we were completely impressed here. Successful meal that we can fully recommend.

Food was very tasty, cheese spaetzle and schnitzel were very tasty. Unfortunately there was only one choice of sauces and we had the baguette with Kreuter butter. Unfortunately the baguette wasn't toasted so it would have been delicious...

Unfortunately, everything is very optimized for tourists and profit and is therefore almost entirely TK. It's a shame because the service and location are very good.

A cozy traditional Bavarian restaurant. Very friendly staff who welcome you warmly and accompany you to the table. Our wish for a children's chair was immediately fulfilled. The dishes are very, very tasty, we had the Viennese veal schnitzel, a side salad, the tuna carpaccio and the spaetzle. And it tasted so excellent that my mouth is watering again as I write this review! Another positive thing worth mentioning is that there is free WiFi. We'll definitely be back.

Went here after the musical “Elisabeth”. The food is excellent. The herb soup was very tasty and so were the main courses. Super friendly staff - worth recommending.

I have tasted food in other parts of Germany. Food we ordered here was too salty. Maybe we should have ordered other dishes. Can't comment on the atmosphere. We dined at a back table next to the kitchen. We didn't expect this.

Outstanding in all areas, food, service, atmosphere and friendliness of our waitress were second to none. We had the "Original Viennesse Schnitzel" ...... all we can say is WOW!!! delicious, if we are ever back in the area we will most certainly be back.

We came here spontaneously with friends and were thrilled from the first step into the beautifully furnished restaurant, through the hospitality, from the food to the very friendly and attentive waitress 🤩 We had a very nice stay and would definitely like to come back.

In the inn we had the original Wienerschnitzel, a side salad and a wheat beer. Everything was simply delicious, it couldn't be better. The waitresses are very friendly and attentive. Overall, the inn is highly recommended.

Went there without a reservation and were lucky to get a spot. After us, some were sent away. It was very crowded. The service came quickly and was very friendly. We had salad (7€) and cordon bleu. The food was really very good. The salad was fresh and the main course was delicious for 20 euros. We then had a scoop of vanilla ice cream with eggnog for €5 for dessert. The restaurant is really recommended. I recommend making a reservation.

We had the most delicious vegan spinach Knödel! If you are looking for a nice traditional, vegan meal, I would highly recommend this place.

Nach kurzem anschauen der Speisekarte und längerem Essen suchen, sind wir kurz entschlossen in das eher unscheinbare Restaurant. Wir wurden aufgrund Platzprobleme in die Bar gehockt. Die war aber auch gemütlich und wir wurden dort auch nicht vergessen. Das Essen kam zügig und wir waren mit allem sehr zufrieden

Delicious food at a reasonable price

The inn is beautifully located in Füssen's old town. Very nicely and comfortably furnished, high feel-good factor. We spontaneously got a table on Saturday afternoon without a reservation. But it's better to reserve in advance as it filled up very quickly. The service from reception to payment was extremely friendly, courteous and quick. The food was very tasty and of extremely good quality that you are happy to pay for. There is absolutely nothing wrong with the price/performance ratio and we will definitely come back next time we are in Füssen.

Went there for dinner without making a reservation in advance. Nevertheless, everything was immediately done to find us a place, despite the restaurant being full. The service was not only there, but very friendly and attentive throughout the entire evening. The food was fantastic. Whether schnitzel, fish or even dessert. We had nothing to complain about and were completely satisfied.

I have to admit that I expected more from the review. The service is undoubtedly good. However, the price of the food was only ok. Therefore I cannot understand the high rush and the waiting time.

During a walk through Füssen we came to Schwanen. Super friendly and attentive service; fresh and excellently prepared dishes with tasty side dishes: schnitzel, roast pork, veal goulash, cabbage roulades and beef roulades, dumplings, red cabbage, mashed potatoes... everything very tasty and beautifully prepared. We were all 100% satisfied. Given the quality and freshness, the price-performance ratio is absolutely fine. Top .... only recommended.

Thanks to a tip from a local, we ended up in Schwanen. So awesome. Roast veal and cabbage rolls were a hit! Delicious. Everything around was just beautiful. Great address.

The Schwanen is definitely highly recommended. We ate roast veal with spaetzle and cabbage wraps with mashed potatoes. The sauce was very good! The only limitation with the cabbage wrap: the stem of the cabbage leaves should have been removed more generously. No compromises in taste! We will be very happy to come back.

The food was very good but also expensive. A side salad costs 7 euros extra. Not long ago this was inclusive. A schnitzel 17 euros plus 7 euros salad is simply too expensive. That's not okay. The service was friendly and quick.

We spent five nights in Füssen, we read the reviews before we arrived and so we ended up having dinner there four times! Everything was perfect, from the warm hospitality to the perfectly flavored dishes, everything was perfect! Thank you very much for these four wonderful evenings! Highly recommended!

Roast pork with 2 bread dumplings and red cabbage is second to none!!! There were 35 of us bus passengers and everyone, without exception, was thrilled. A real recommendation.

After a disastrous experience in a restaurant in Lindau (where we were charged a tip without telling us) this establishment reconciled us with German restaurants: not only was what we ate excellent but it was also cheap. And to top it all off, the service was extremely friendly and the setting was typical. WELL DONE !

Spaetzle + schnitzel as well as roast pork + dumplings and red cabbage were excellent, we have never had anything like this before! Price performance is top!! Cozy place with friendly and attentive staff. Excellent abundant and well presented dishes. We tried the pork shoulder with vegetables and the pork with caramelized red cabbage, excellent. One dish was not at its best and they independently removed it from the bill. Recommended, good food with excellent value for money.

The food was excellent and the portions very large and more than we could possibly consume. The staff was pleasant and profressional towards our large group, which included eight children. I emphasis the children as the general disdain from the public is adamantly clear. And yes, I researched Germany's feelings on children. My children walk in a strict straight line 2x2 and do not speak unless spoken to while in public so as to respect the culture we are visiting, but the shear number of them is apparently offending and appalling.

Place located in a lovely little square, with several outdoor seats and large indoor spaces. Excellent food, generous portions and fair prices. Particularly popular are cheese spatzle with caramelized onion and cordonbleau. Really friendly and helpful staff. Absolutely recommended.
