Gasthof zur Post in Erding

We went there spontaneously on a Friday evening. We didn't have a reservation or call ahead. They found a table for the four of us outside in the beautiful outdoor area, which is located in the quiet backyard. The service was super friendly and cheerful and we were seated. The waitresses were quick, friendly, and courteous. The menu selection was very extensive. The food arrived quickly and hot. Most importantly, it was delicious and the portions were normal. We had a really lovely evening there. If we come back to Erding, we will definitely come back.

We arrived after peak lunchtime. We were able to sit outside. Nice, quiet atmosphere. Service was friendly, but the food was ready very quickly. The three types of schnitzel were divine: The children's schnitzel was so large that it was perfectly adequate for even a small appetite, and even more so for growing children of 12 years old... I had a chicken schnitzel, and my husband had veal – perfectly cooked and crispy. The side salad was decent with its oil and vinegar dressing. The price was a bit high because all the ingredients are charged separately. Highly recommended! We'll be back.

The food was very good; you can create your own schnitzel, and there's a wide selection. The server who served us was super nice and very quick.

A great restaurant that I've been going to regularly for many years, mostly for dinner with my family. The restaurant and the decor are beautiful, and the courtyard terrace is also very pleasant. The friendly service is very prompt and offers good advice if you can't decide :) The food is always excellent, very freshly prepared, and of high quality. If you want decent food, this is the place for you!

The food tasted excellent, the portions were filling, and the price was absolutely reasonable. The various meat and breading options for the schnitzel add variety to traditional Bavarian cuisine and make the meal a little experience. Even vegetarians would find plenty of options on the menu, which is often difficult in Bavarian inns. The menu was beautifully designed and clear. The ambiance was classically rustic, as you would expect from a historic inn of this age. The service was also completely convincing. The staff are very friendly and manage to meet guests' requests quickly and reliably. Overall, highly recommended; we would gladly return.

What a wonderful inn! The food was absolutely fantastic. The cream of asparagus soup, the schnitzel, and the fries are second to none! We'll definitely be back when we're back in Erding.

I can definitely recommend Die Post. We enjoy coming here—even with larger groups—because everyone can find something delicious. The service is attentive and fast, the kitchen always offers seasonal dishes, and we like the beer selection, which is tasty. We feel completely at home.

The negative: The beer sauce was bland and the beer was served clearly under calibrated. Maybe petty, but disappointing in a beer town like Erding. The positive: Child-friendly, cozy and (apart from the beer sauce) very tasty. The employees are extremely friendly. I would eat here again.

Hello, if you like schnitzel without salt and pepper, this is the right place. It wasn't for us.

The food was very good and there was a lot of it, the service was good, but I didn't think the ambience was that great. I would have imagined it to be a little more rustic for such an old house.

We are thrilled! We spontaneously went to eat there on Holy Saturday at 7:00 p.m. with 3 adults and a small child. Very friendly and courteous staff, really on the ball. The food, we ate schnitzel in 3 different variations and with different side dishes, was simply delicious! Plus very good beer. We personally really liked the atmosphere. If we are in Erding or nearby again, we will definitely go there again to eat! Only recommended!

We didn't know anything about the post office, but we were taught otherwise. They're actually only purely because Thomas & Jonas performed live. Guest room - there are several - barrier-free accessible. The employees are absolutely friendly and quick. Special requests no problem. We had a great evening at the post office. Thank you very much

We were a group of 10 people with a table reservation. It was a schnitzel night. The food was good. Service was mediocre. One schnitzel arrived very late without an apology. The acoustics at the table were terrible, making conversation almost impossible (a table in the vaulted ceiling, near the kitchen). We left immediately after dinner.

If you're looking for traditional food, you've come to the right place. It is advisable to make a reservation, as it is no secret where there is good food. The service was quick and friendly, and everyone who served at our table was. The food was really good and we didn't have to wait long for it. What I really liked about the dishes was the combination of modern and traditional cuisine, also combined on the plate. Extra requests were responded to in a friendly manner. We always come by to eat when we are in Erding or the area, simply because we like it and we have never been disappointed.

Simply a dream! We drive a long way just to eat schnitzel here - and it's worth it every time. The veal schnitzel in particular is absolutely amazing: perfectly breaded, super tender and simply incredibly tasty. The atmosphere is rustic Bavarian, the service is friendly and attentive. We were in the thermal baths and were looking for a restaurant to eat at short notice. Even the inquiry over the phone was answered very nicely. The portions are decently sized, the service is friendly and the food comes quickly. Requests are also catered for without any problems, especially when it comes to vegetarian food. Perfect. Absolutely recommended for me.

Wir waren zu einem frühen Abendessen in der Post. Was soll man sagen. Unbeschreiblich. Wir hatten das Bavaria Schnitzel (Panade von der Brezel, Senfkruste und mit Bergkäse gefüllt.). Dann hatten wir noch das Winter Schnitzel. Ebenfalls gefüllt.(Unter anderem mit Parmaschinken.). Als Beilagen hatten wir einen leckeren Beilagen. Salat mit Ceasars Dressing, Trüffel, Pommes und Trüffel,mayonnaise und DinkelKäseSpätzle. Umfassung lecker. Ausreichend portioniert. Sehr gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis und sehr freundlicher Service. Gerne wieder.

kann die positiven Bewertungen nicht nachvollziehen. war dort mit meinem Mann, haben uns das Bierbratl bestellt, dieses jedoch für unseren Geschmack voll daneben und überteuert. In der Soße hatte ich noch Klumpen von Gelantine und Soßenbinder, die Knödl schmeckten nach Stärke, nach dem ersten Bissen hatte ich ein Unwohlsein, das ich es nicht mehr essen konnte. Service sehr unfreundlich, vor allem der Ober. Diesen Gasthof kann ich nicht weiterempfehlen.

After our visit to Therme Erding, we were looking for a good place to eat and ended up here. It's a very nice inn with a good selection of different Bavarian dishes, with a little extra touch. The food looked beautifully prepared and we all enjoyed it very much. The waiting time was a bit long but you could also tell that the food was freshly prepared and served. All around good service. Highly recommended and we would come here again.
