Definitely a must if you are in Erding. Super friendly staff, don't turn anyone away easily, even when it's full. If necessary, bring some waiting time or make a reservation. Very tasty food. Gladly again.

The food was very tasty, even if it took us a while to read and understand the menu. It's a bit unusual to be seated at a table with strangers, but it's not a bad thing because it gives you more space and really makes full use of the space. Towards the end we sat next to a couple with children who eat there regularly and had known the chef for a long time. The local meat was super tender. We were only there by luck. I think it's great that you can't make a reservation, so you also have the chance to get a spot spontaneously. The oxen dishes were delicious and the perfect size too. If you can't manage that much, you should bring a can from home (tip from our table neighbors). The Kaiserschmarrn is worth 8 stars, it was that good. Simply heavenly. But I think the best thing is that it's not a fake smile from the ladies and you are treated the way you behave, which is probably why the bad reviews. People go in there with respect and friendliness and you will be treated that way.

Just how you imagine a rustic Bavarian inn. Good food, decent portions and great service. Things like that are far too rare.

The four of us just spontaneously went for a drink. The waitresses were very nice and the landlord also welcomed us in a friendly manner. A really grim economy. Next time we will eat there too!

Nice place with traditional Bavarian food 🟦⬜. The waiter sat us together with nice stringers and it seems like it the we its work over there. We got the menu (no English menu and the nice people that sit with us said they are German and doesn't understand anything from it. We took 2 shnizal ( a huge dish that is fixed for 2 people) . If you are taking one dish for two people you have to pay extra 5 e.. The dishes arrived with salad and a side to choose from. The waiters are very nice , the prices are highly expensive. 35 per dish .

Attention dog haters! Since we have a longer journey from Ingolstadt, we tried to make a reservation by phone the day before, which the answering machine explicitly ruled out. So we just drove there hoping to get a place. We had our small, well-behaved dog with us, who has so far lain well under the table in every restaurant, hasn't made a sound, and has never been turned away in any restaurant in Germany in the last 9 years. However, in this so-called traditional Bavarian inn they are so bold as to do that. Without any discussion. Anyone who maintains such unusual "traditions" would do well to announce this in big, bold and red letters on the homepage of their website. But there is nothing like that there. They only advertise how much they care about the well-being of their guests and maintaining tradition. “Every visit to the Kreuzeder Wirt should be something special.” Actually, he was. Just not in a positive way, but rather through the unprovoked reprimand of a Bavarian dachshund from a Bavarian inn. THAT IS A SHAME!

I'm really very disappointed. I call and they tell me that reservations aren't possible and that I should just come, in the worst case scenario I'll have to wait a bit. Then we go there and they just send us away. I've really never experienced anything like that. To answer: 1. I'm not male and 2. I didn't argue with anyone there. If you can't remember the customer, you should be careful with the insults. You're not making a good impression with this!! Well, it's good that it didn't work out for you, I think your behavior is really low-level!!! If you want to be insulted, you've come to the right place!!

Wir waren zum Abendessen hier. Tolles Wirtshaus. In der Speisekarte steht sogar ein Gebet. Echte bayrische Schmankerl. Hatte ein üppiges Stück Rindfleisch in einer dunklen Rahmsoße mit frischen Spätzlen. Tolles Preis- und Leistungsverhältnis. Sehr zu empfehlen. Toller Service.

Perfect food, perfect staff, perfect Bavarian!!

We also ended up at Kreuzeder for the first time and wanted to eat a good Bavarian meal before driving home. From the first minute I felt very welcome and at home, rustic ambience - just as it should be, great guests who welcome you in a friendly and nice way, just great! The food was excellent, not because the portions were decent, but because you can taste the effort and passion, made with love in every bite, for that a big compliment and a big thank you to the entire Kreuzeder💓

I actually wanted to write a “1 star review” because the feedback from “Martin” is always great. It's nice if you still have the courage to express your opinion and publish it. Nowadays people are kept “small” and everything has to be “politically and gender correct”. But what I wanted to write: I have visited your inn several times now, and in the last few weeks I have traveled over 80 km twice to eat. Everything is just right here. Service, quality and authenticity. In many restaurants these days you only get generous portions because that seems to be part of high quality? At the Kreuzeder you will definitely be (over)full, and with class and finesse. Thank you very much and Merry Christmas! You are an enrichment for the Bavarian pub culture. A welcoming atmosphere. You are greeted warmly, given good advice and the food is not cheap, but definitely worth every cent. Large portions, with the best quality, regional products and simply delicious. Overall, one of, if not my, favorite restaurant when it comes to German/Bavarian cuisine.

Best Bavarian pub I have visited so far. My partner and I regularly drive over an hour to eat here. And this despite the fact that there are 1000 alternatives in Munich and the surrounding area. However, nothing comes close to “the Kreuzeder”. Prices are more expensive compared to other inns, but in return you get unbeatable quality, dishes prepared with passion, a unique atmosphere and super friendly service, even though everyone is always hard at work. Super nice addition: I don't know of any place where integration is practiced like it is here! The host couple seems to be totally committed, the team is international and yet (or rather: precisely because of that) you rarely feel as at home anywhere in Bavaria as you do here. Sometimes you're lucky and there's a little special international dish like baklava and co. Clear recommendation. I also always send all my friends and acquaintances here when I'm asked for restaurant recommendations.

We were here for the first time on December 7th, 2024. And we were thoroughly impressed. Really a quaint inn. Starting with the external appearance, really Bavarian and beautifully decorated for Advent. The entrance inside is great. The guest room was packed at 7 p.m., but we were still given a free seat, so we just kept it together, as is the case in Bavaria. The waitresses are consistently very friendly and funny. That's how it should be. Drinks were taken quickly and returned to the table, food was ordered (the menu is really very original!) and served quite quickly, the portions were really large and very tasty. What I saw at the neighboring tables and our large table was also really great. Later, the boss came to each table again and chatted a bit to see if everything was ok. A quaint guy who you should definitely follow on Instagram, what he posts is really funny and informative. All in all a successful evening. We will 100% come back. But you should definitely call them and listen to the announcement, unique, really. That's exactly how it was. Unfortunately, there are far too few restaurants like this in Bavaria. In any case, thank you for keeping the catering industry running and doing your best. I am a self-trained chef and really take my hat off to anyone who still does gastronomy with love and passion.

Very large portions at a very fair price, cash payment required and without reservation but 5 out of 5 stars. The staff is also super nice and even the chef asks how you liked it.

Wir waren nach einem Besuch in der Therme zum Abendessen im Restaurant und wurden herzlich empfangen. Die freundliche Bedienung verwöhnte uns mit sehr gutem Essen, netter Atmosphäre und schnellem Service. Die Portionen sind mehr als ausreichend und man sollte mit der Nachtischbestellung definitiv bis nach der Hauptspeise warten.

We have been coming to Kreuzeder again and again since 2011. The inn is a real institution in Erding. The atmosphere is quaint and cozy. The ladies around Martin are friendly and have everything in mind. The food is excellent, the meat is buttery soft and the portions are huge. Everything is just right there.

Large portions, delicious food. Only the Kaiserschmarrn wasn't that tasty. We didn't find the apple pieces to be very suitable and had a bit of fat. Otherwise, great schnitzel and attentive service.

Die Ochsenbratl waren (wie immer!) eine Offenbarung, die Schweinshaxe einer der besten die wir je hatten. Dazu noch herrliche Kartoffelknödel und gute Beiagensalate - es war zusammen mit dem herzlichen Service mal wieder ein herrliches Kreuzeder Erlebnis. Vielen Dank an das gesamte Team.

Ich war vor wenigen Jahren mit Freunden im Rahmen eines Thermenbesuchs auf der Suche nach einem urbayrischen Wirtshaus mit gutem Essen. Auf Empfehlung einer "Eingeborenen" landeten wir im Wirtshaus Kreuzeder. Wir bekamen dort jedoch nicht einfach nur gutes Essen, nein, es war hervorragend in Geschmack und Qualität. Auch die Mädels beim Service waren immer freundlich und zuvorkommend, auch wenn mal viel los war. Wir kommen immer wieder gerne. Zwischenzeitlich war ich auch schon mehrfach mit der Familie im Wirtshaus Kreuzeder. Auch Frau und Tochter sind mittlerweile von der Atmosphäre und dem köstlichen Essen so angefixt, dass wir unseren Boxenstopp immer beim Wirtshaus Kreuzeder einplanen, wenn wir Richtung Süden in Urlaub fahren. So waren wir auch am 12. und 19.10.2024 (Anreise und Heimreise) jeweils zum Mittagessen wieder im Wirtshaus Kreuzeder. Wir hatten Ochsenbratl, Schnitzel und Kaiserschmarrn und waren mal wieder begeistert. Hier stimmt einfach alles. Die Damen beim Service waren sehr freundlich und auch Sonderwünsche waren kein Problem. Hier fühlt man sich willkommen, insbesondere für Wünsche der Kinder hat man hier immer ein offenes Ohr. Der Besuch im Wirtshaus Kreuzeder ist uns auch den längsten Umweg wert. Einfach nur zu empfehlen. Schade dass es sowas nicht bei uns im Hunsrück gibt... Herzliche Grüße aus Idar-Oberstein

Vegetarians and vegans are NOT welcome. So much in advance. The quality of the food is quite good, but in terms of taste you can clearly taste glutamate in almost everything. That's just a no-go these days. The landlord is very, very arrogant. His Instagram posts make you want more at first but in reality, NO thanks. Kaiserschmarrn with dragon fruit??? was a real flop. Once and never again. P.S. The toilets are not clean...

You have to experience it. Mega traditional food, service and ambience. We will go again when we are in the area again. Another thing worth mentioning is the extremely friendly treatment of children. Full marks. Exactly my thing!!!

Meine Freundin und ich waren am Abend dort zu Gast und waren begeistert. Die Bedienungen waren sehr nett und locker, teils auch lustig, sie haben versucht für jeden Gast einen Platz zu finden, so dass wir zB auch an einen Tisch mit einem älteren Pärchen saßen, was natürlich kein Problem war. Das Essen war spitze. Es hat super lecker geschmeckt und es war auch nicht zu wenig, eher zu viel ;) , sodass man am Ende definitiv satt und zufrieden das Lokal verlässt ( Preis-Leistung Top 👍🏽) Wir werden bei unserem nächsten Erding Besuch definitiv wiederkommen und das Lokal auch unseren Bekannten weiterempfehlen. Weiter so und Grüße aus Hannover 👍🏽

Small, cozy restaurant with excellent service - attentive, friendly, very quick and tries to implement special requests. The food is very tasty and the portions leave you feeling full. Plus, it's always beautifully presented to the eye. Very busy but you have to wait a few minutes for a free table.

Typical Bavarian home cooking. Had ox with spaetzle and veal meatballs. Mega delicious and plenty of it, everything is prepared by the kitchen itself and the meat is from our own slaughterhouse. Price performance is very good. Ambiance is like home. You should expect to sit at a table with others as demand is very high. Be there on time otherwise you will be waiting. It was a shame that only Erdinger beer was available. I would have liked beer from a small private brewery, but not very important. We'll definitely come more often now.

Unfortunately, we were not greeted with excessive friendliness. We were seated at a table with another group without asking. Very unfavorable for a nice evening for two. The other group obviously didn't find this pleasant either. It was also very loud. That's why we decided to go again. Unfortunately, we were no longer able to rate the quality of the food.

Never seen such a great restaurant. A super cozy and clocky atmosphere, you immediately felt at home. Although we were only in Erding for 1 weekend, we took every opportunity to eat there. The best thing, besides the incredibly delicious food, was the hospitality. The waitress had her heart in the right place, and the chef also came to our table twice to ask if everything was okay. We would even take a detour to eat here again!

Stopped in spontaneously in the evening and received a very nice welcome from the landlady. The Kaiserschmarrn was bomb, with delicious homemade figs and pear compote. Fantastic regional cuisine, I have never eaten more tender beef in my life, I also recommend the deer. But beware, the portions are gigantic. Great Bavarian decor and craftsmanship, the waitress and the chef ask guests if everything tastes good. I recommend it and, of course, great local beer.

An unforgettable evening in a traditional, rustic and hearty inn. Without a reservation we got a perfect table in the middle of the action. It was a great pleasure to experience the interaction between the boss and the service staff. The performance is commendable because despite all the stress there was a lot of laughter. Asking whether everything is okay is no longer so commonplace these days. Likewise, even greater praise to the head chef of the house.
