Definitely the best Bavarian restaurant I've been to so far. Generous portions. Tastes 5+, looks 5+. No reservations possible, first come, first served. Cozy atmosphere, you occasionally share a table with strangers if there's only two or three of you. The staff is wonderfully relaxed.

We were simply thrilled today. Such great food, everything fresh, and the taste was fantastic. But the desserts (the strawberries) were amazing, and everything else, too, of course. Highly recommended. Thanks to the nice people there 😘❤️

Update: 2025 We went there with great anticipation and returned home disappointed. First, we were ignored for 12 minutes at the sign indicating that our seating was being assigned. Then we were politely brought to the table. First came the salad. No dressing. The tomato was overseasoned and had a pickled pepper. The neighboring table with the same dish received salad with white dressing and a bread crumb. The same thing happened 2 years ago. The roast beef came quickly. The cream sauce, however, was too spicy and overseasoned. Half a liter of water was wasted. We were hungry and had traveled a long way, so we didn't say anything and left the restaurant quickly. For the last time. What a shame. This used to be our favorite restaurant. And when you're uncomprehending and incapable of criticism, you give condescending and snippy responses to the reviews, because it's always the paying guest's fault. 2023: God has heard my plea and given me a good host. Unfortunately, you have to drive further away, it's fast on the highway. We'll be there early at five, there are plenty of parking spaces on site. The landlady immediately pulls out your car and asks: "What's for dinner?" Snowy and eager, you'll see the carton is already there. An Oxnbron with huge toilets, my dear lady, who eats that? A salad, well-seasoned and in all sorts of different flavors, and you don't have to wait long for the second beer. The apple pie as dessert, you get everything at a really good price. Everyone should feel at home, from Bavarians to fine peckers, because it's cozy there under the holy corner. Everything's clean, that makes us happy, we'll be back, because for you, it's not far off the beaten track. Reservations are unfortunately not possible, so we're punctual and not stupid. And if anyone's still squirming, rest assured, there's no better place to eat.

Very friendly and helpful, even with translating the memory card ;-). The portions are huge. You need to be very hungry. The prices are absolutely reasonable. Yesterday, October 11, 2025, we were here for the second time. Unfortunately, we can only come so rarely since we're from Dresden. But I'm a huge fan of the waitresses and the manager. They're so attentive and have the place completely under control. I like the way they treat their guests. They always try to accommodate everyone waiting in the restaurant. I haven't seen such a well-organized restaurant before, and then there's the delicious food and the absolutely reasonable prices. If I could, I'd give it 10 stars. Thank you so much, and we can't wait to visit you again.

We visited this restaurant over a weekend; it was close to our hotel, and, convinced by the many positive reviews, we decided to try it. What can I say? It's simply fantastic! The staff is incredibly kind, the atmosphere is very traditional and warm, and the food is simply sublime! We had a broth with this truly exceptional liver ball. We would have liked to try the stew, but unfortunately it was sold out, so we opted for the cutlet and steak, which were truly delicious. And to finish, we recommend their traditional dessert. We were left feeling very full but very happy. Excellent value for money.

I thought, because I'm very particular, that I wouldn't find anything I wanted in the restaurant, but the liver dumpling soup, the schnitzel, the venison goulash, the potato dumplings, and the sauces were amazing. We tried everything and were so pleasantly surprised.

For me, as a Prussian, this is the place to go for great food and great portions. I usually have the ox with dumplings on one of my visits. The taste is amazing. The chef and service are unbeatably quick-witted and at least they don't bow down – anyone who doesn't behave gets the appropriate response. I love their style, read the other comments for yourself. Best liver dumpling soup of my life

What more could you want from a Bavarian inn? Every visit is a dream. The innkeeper prepares his dishes daily using fresh, regional products. The waitresses are always friendly, even when the place is on fire. Anyone who leaves unsatisfied has no idea about good Bavarian cuisine. I highly recommend this place to everyone and hope it stays with us for a long time to come.

The food was really delicious, there's nothing to say about it, but friendliness still needs to be integrated into the store, no thanks, no please, I really imagine it differently, I'd rather go somewhere else next time. LG

A typically rustic Bavarian restaurant. For non-Bavarians, the menu is a bit difficult to read, but the staff are happy to help. Space is very limited, so it's best to make a reservation or be prepared to wait. You might end up sitting with strangers at a table, but that wasn't a problem for us. The food was delicious, and for those with a good appetite, a bread dumpling might seem small, but it's actually enormous.

I'm really disappointed. I call and they tell me that reservations aren't possible and I should just show up, and in the worst case scenario, I'll have to wait a bit. Then we drive there, and they just turn us away. I've honestly never experienced anything like this before. Reply: 1) I'm not male, and 2) I didn't argue with anyone there. If you can't remember the customer, you should be careful with the insults. You're not making a good impression!! It's a good thing it didn't work out for you. I find your behavior truly despicable!!! If you want to be insulted, you've come to the right place!!

The restaurant is nothing special (it looks more like a tavern). The food is very good, but some dishes are far too expensive. Since you can't make reservations here, you have to be very lucky to get a table on weekends; even for drinks, you have to wait at least 30-40 minutes. The waiters are relatively friendly, but you can tell they're overwhelmed. So my/our enthusiasm is limited! The owner's crude reaction is a clear sign of a complete inability to accept criticism. Instead of accepting criticism, she reacts with personal attacks and insults (impatient, unsuitable, bad-looking, unpleasant bird). Her behavior shows clear narcissistic traits: everything revolves around her, guests are belittled. This is disrespectful and completely unprofessional! Anyone who values ​​hospitality should choose another restaurant!

We were at Kreuzeder for lunch today on September 28th. Despite the restaurant being full, the owner managed to give us a table for two. The service from the owner and her two other ladies was super friendly. Despite the aforementioned full restaurant, they repeatedly asked if everything was okay, if it tasted good, etc. The food – in our case, the veal liver dumpling soup, my Pinzgauer ox, and my friend's Wiener schnitzel – was excellent. The meat on my ox was so tender that you didn't even have to cut it. The fresh spaetzle were the best I've ever eaten. When the bill came, the owner even apologized for taking a little longer today (but the wait wasn't too long for us at all; we felt very comfortable). CONCLUSION: EVERYTHING WAS EXCELLENT, DEFINITELY NOT OUR LAST VISIT TO KREUZEDER

Traditional Bavarian guesthouse, absolutely cozy

The food is amazing. You can taste that everything is homemade and the ingredients are of top quality. The service is also great, and everyone is very friendly.

A definite recommendation for any stay in Erding. We were seated right away without a reservation and received our drinks very quickly, followed shortly by our main courses. The food was a culinary masterpiece, the likes of which you rarely encounter. The service was also very pleasant. All in all, a perfect stay, one we will definitely repeat when the opportunity arises.

First Kreuzeder, then Crete. Before our vacation, we stopped at the Kreueder and then used Erdinger parking to get to Munich Airport. The staff is very friendly, the restaurant has a Bavarian atmosphere, and the chef cooks here himself. The food is plentiful and very tasty. The value for money is good, and you feel welcome. We're already looking forward to our next visit to the Kreuzeder.

If you’re looking for a local, traditional, delicious Bavarian eat and drink experience, you’ve found it. Do your self a favour and visit this wonderful establishment. If you’d like to sit on the patio, get their early. Don’t be surprised if another group is seated with you. It’s meant to be this way. Enjoy the company! Indoor seating is a vibe as well. If you’re not sure what to get, the staff are friendly and will walk you through the menu. For food, go with the ox roast, veal schnitzel, & deer burger. For drink, we went with house wine and sample local wheat beers. Enjoy!

Now we wanted to go to Kreutzeder again after three years. We'd been dreaming of roast ox with dumplings on the way from Freiburg to Erding. With the bike in the trailer, we wanted to cycle the last few kilometers so that the roast and dessert would be well-deserved. Why does Kreutzeder just go on holiday without asking us and leave us standing at the door hungry and thirsty!! With our heads hanging, we just went to a pizzeria. Everything was good, food, atmosphere and service. The only bad thing to say about the establishment is it is a cash only. We do not speak german and we did not knew it when we got in set fown to eat. So st 10 pm i had to look and run through out Eriding for ATM.....

We went there with friends for a birthday. The menu was original, all in Bavarian. The food was very good. 👍. Service was fast and friendly. Parking is available in the courtyard, right on Münchner Straße in Erding.

The food is extremely delicious. It's also beautifully presented. And the portions are definitely worth the price. The service is very friendly and dressed in traditional costume. The food always arrived very quickly.

I can't confirm the partially positive reviews. Four of us ate there last weekend. After an initial heated argument with the assertive waitresses about the dog ban, the waitress finally buried the hatchet with a shot of schnapps on the house. However, the waitresses there are very assertive and bossy, which may not be to everyone's taste. The food and the cuisine were unfortunately not good. We once had the porcini mushroom ragout with dumplings. The dumplings themselves were a bit oversized and too hard. Then we tried the pastrami (smoked ox breast). When we asked what kind of dish "pastrami" was, the manager explained that it was similar to roast beef. The smoked ox breast, however, had nothing to do with roast beef. The pastrami was more comparable to smoked pork. The ox breast was a bit too salty and, unfortunately, too dry, and the flavor wasn't particularly outstanding. The two accompanying sauces were completely unsuitable. One sauce looked like tartar sauce, but was unfortunately completely oversalted. When we pointed this out to the manager, she said she would check it in the kitchen but never came back. The second sauce was a (store-bought) sweet chili sauce, which didn't go at all with the smoked ox breast. The fried potatoes were very soft. When asked about this, the waitress explained that the fried potatoes were baked in the oven. Why? Another point was deducted because they only accept cash payments. Overall: there are better restaurants in Erding.

Typical dishes, highly recommended, and a perfect atmosphere! The ladies who served us were lovely. Our German is terrible, but they still patiently explained everything to us. Highly recommended. As for the price, it didn't seem too expensive, about what we can find around here, but the quality-price ratio is great! The only downside is that the menu is only in German, and it would be nice to find one even if it's in English.

I was impressed by the ambiance, the service, and the incredibly delicious veal Wiener Schnitzel. The portions are so large that even a very hungry child can easily eat them. The veal was very tender and flavorful, the breading crispy. From my seat, I could watch the chef, who, despite the large crowd, prepared one dish after another with ease and ease. All in all, I haven't been this impressed by a restaurant visit in a long time.

We finally went there a few weeks ago, after watching Kreuzeder on Instagram for a while. It was a warm Sunday lunchtime, and we were quickly seated by one of the friendly waiters. We both ordered the ox with this delightful paprika sauce. It was to die for and a huge portion. Since we had driven to Erding specifically for this, we came back for dinner, although less hungry than planned, which was probably due to the lavish lunch. We shared a brawn with fried potatoes, which was also exceptionally good. We finished with a small Kaiserschmarrn (smothered pancake). All the waiters were super nice and kept coming to our table, either for a little treat or just to take care of us. At lunch, the chef even complimented my wife's dress—what more can we say? That's gastronomy in its truest form... Chapeau! We look forward to the next time.

Simply fantastic. We were there for dinner this afternoon. I'm a wheelchair user, and I was immediately given a table with easy wheelchair access. That's rare in Erding with outdoor seating. Marie and the two waitresses were fantastic and very accommodating. They serve Erdinger wheat beer on tap. Superb. I had the ox with cream sauce and spaetzle. A dream. It couldn't be better. The meat was so tender you didn't really need a knife. Great value for money, too. I can only recommend bringing a few cans of beer with you if you're not a big eater. I didn't have any with me, but it wasn't a problem because Marie conjured some up straight away. I then ordered some more sauce so I would have some more for the rest of the meal at home. They poured it into a glass. There was no extra cost for ordering more sauce. All in all, one of the best Bavarian restaurants in a league of its own. Many thanks to the entire Kreuzeder team. We'll be happy to come back.

Great restaurant - warm and honest service - just as it should be! The food is fantastic - you can tell the chef puts a lot of effort into his cooking and puts his heart and soul into it - all of our dishes were fantastic, and the Kaiserschmarren at the end was the highlight! In our opinion, the best Kaiserschmarren for miles around! We spontaneously arrived at the relatively full restaurant and were simply seated at a table with other guests. After that, we were completely ignored. Although several waiters were on duty, who also saw and acknowledged us, we weren't brought any menus. So, after a while, we decided to leave. It's a shame, as we would have really enjoyed the ambiance. Due to the owner's rude and at times even abusive responses to bad reviews, this restaurant is unfortunately not recommended at all.

We sat at our table for a while, didn't get a menu, and no one came to us. Then we got up and left. I've never experienced anything like it before...I absolutely do not recommend this restaurant.

A TAVER, not a guesthouse, and that's precisely what makes Kreuzeder so unique. The innkeeper has been the boss for over 40 years, and that's a good thing. He and his lovely wife lead a growing team of service staff that's unique here in Erding. A warm friendliness paired with the affectionate "Bavarian grumpiness" that Ganghofer and Thoma often so aptly described in their stories. The ambiance of the dining rooms is inviting and cozy, and you immediately sense the unique atmosphere of a "true Bavarian restaurant." Now for the food, and this is where things get tricky... how Martin Kreuzeder manages to serve portions of this standard and quality, enough for two and more than reasonably priced, is a mystery to me. But enough talking, go and enjoy; you won't regret it. Okay, if you step on the scales the next day, you might regret it for a moment...

A tavern in the heart of Erding, with Bavarian cuisine and a friendly staff. Fresh, local cuisine that's a treat for the palate. I'm always happy to come back, and I always look forward to the honest word from the owners and service staff. You won't find any hipster chic here 👍🏼

The food was delicious, a huge portion at a reasonable price. Three tasty schnitzels, a delicious salad, and a few fried potatoes. Served with gravy and raspberry compote. It would have been better to have smaller portions and charge less accordingly. The service was helpful with questions, and we never had to wait long for drinks or food. The atmosphere was pleasant.

Truly Bavarian! A rustic atmosphere, with indoor and outdoor seating. The food is amazing! Huge portions, always freshly prepared, and incredibly delicious! Prices are completely reasonable. The service is cheerful and quick. The menu, written in Bavarian, is witty. It's also very nicely translated and explained for foreign guests. It doesn't get any better than this!

We were here today with eight people, and it was incredibly delicious. Everything was simply perfect, from the service to the food, everything was top-notch! That's how it is, and we'll definitely be back!

Beautiful place. Not touristy. The menu isn't easy, only in German. But it's all good: we tried a couple of specialties and everything seems good. Friendly staff, family atmosphere.

On the way from Regensburg to the airport today, we stopped at Kreuzeder for lunch on the recommendation of my colleague. Amazing! As a Prussian, I'm easily impressed anyway, but this was fantastic. The schnitzel at Looser Papier has found its way to Northern Germany and was a true delight for me again this evening.
