The food is extremely delicious. It's also beautifully presented. And the portions are definitely worth the price. The service is very friendly and dressed in traditional costume. The food always arrived very quickly.

I can't confirm the partially positive reviews. Four of us ate there last weekend. After an initial heated argument with the assertive waitresses about the dog ban, the waitress finally buried the hatchet with a shot of schnapps on the house. However, the waitresses there are very assertive and bossy, which may not be to everyone's taste. The food and the cuisine were unfortunately not good. We once had the porcini mushroom ragout with dumplings. The dumplings themselves were a bit oversized and too hard. Then we tried the pastrami (smoked ox breast). When we asked what kind of dish "pastrami" was, the manager explained that it was similar to roast beef. The smoked ox breast, however, had nothing to do with roast beef. The pastrami was more comparable to smoked pork. The ox breast was a bit too salty and, unfortunately, too dry, and the flavor wasn't particularly outstanding. The two accompanying sauces were completely unsuitable. One sauce looked like tartar sauce, but was unfortunately completely oversalted. When we pointed this out to the manager, she said she would check it in the kitchen but never came back. The second sauce was a (store-bought) sweet chili sauce, which didn't go at all with the smoked ox breast. The fried potatoes were very soft. When asked about this, the waitress explained that the fried potatoes were baked in the oven. Why? Another point was deducted because they only accept cash payments. Overall: there are better restaurants in Erding.

Typical dishes, highly recommended, and a perfect atmosphere! The ladies who served us were lovely. Our German is terrible, but they still patiently explained everything to us. Highly recommended. As for the price, it didn't seem too expensive, about what we can find around here, but the quality-price ratio is great! The only downside is that the menu is only in German, and it would be nice to find one even if it's in English.

We as a family always enjoy coming here. The food is, as always, wonderful. "A good host and good service, you don't find that often these days." Dear Martin, let's just keep it that way.

I was impressed by the ambiance, the service, and the incredibly delicious veal Wiener Schnitzel. The portions are so large that even a very hungry child can easily eat them. The veal was very tender and flavorful, the breading crispy. From my seat, I could watch the chef, who, despite the large crowd, prepared one dish after another with ease and ease. All in all, I haven't been this impressed by a restaurant visit in a long time.

We went to this wonderful restaurant yesterday. Since my daughter often goes there, and I always forget where she is, I really wanted to try this delicious food. The roast ox is sooooo good. The Kreuzeder was at our table.

We finally went there a few weeks ago, after watching Kreuzeder on Instagram for a while. It was a warm Sunday lunchtime, and we were quickly seated by one of the friendly waiters. We both ordered the ox with this delightful paprika sauce. It was to die for and a huge portion. Since we had driven to Erding specifically for this, we came back for dinner, although less hungry than planned, which was probably due to the lavish lunch. We shared a brawn with fried potatoes, which was also exceptionally good. We finished with a small Kaiserschmarrn (smothered pancake). All the waiters were super nice and kept coming to our table, either for a little treat or just to take care of us. At lunch, the chef even complimented my wife's dress—what more can we say? That's gastronomy in its truest form... Chapeau! We look forward to the next time.

Simply fantastic. We were there for dinner this afternoon. I'm a wheelchair user, and I was immediately given a table with easy wheelchair access. That's rare in Erding with outdoor seating. Marie and the two waitresses were fantastic and very accommodating. They serve Erdinger wheat beer on tap. Superb. I had the ox with cream sauce and spaetzle. A dream. It couldn't be better. The meat was so tender you didn't really need a knife. Great value for money, too. I can only recommend bringing a few cans of beer with you if you're not a big eater. I didn't have any with me, but it wasn't a problem because Marie conjured some up straight away. I then ordered some more sauce so I would have some more for the rest of the meal at home. They poured it into a glass. There was no extra cost for ordering more sauce. All in all, one of the best Bavarian restaurants in a league of its own. Many thanks to the entire Kreuzeder team. We'll be happy to come back.

I'm really disappointed. I call and they tell me that reservations aren't possible and I should just show up, and in the worst case scenario, I'll have to wait a bit. Then we drive there, and they just turn us away. I've honestly never experienced anything like this before. Reply: 1) I'm not male, and 2) I didn't argue with anyone there. If you can't remember the customer, you should be careful with the insults. You're not making a good impression!! It's a good thing it didn't work out for you. I find your behavior truly despicable!!! If you want to be insulted, you've come to the right place!!

Great restaurant - warm and honest service - just as it should be! The food is fantastic - you can tell the chef puts a lot of effort into his cooking and puts his heart and soul into it - all of our dishes were fantastic, and the Kaiserschmarren at the end was the highlight! In our opinion, the best Kaiserschmarren for miles around! We spontaneously arrived at the relatively full restaurant and were simply seated at a table with other guests. After that, we were completely ignored. Although several waiters were on duty, who also saw and acknowledged us, we weren't brought any menus. So, after a while, we decided to leave. It's a shame, as we would have really enjoyed the ambiance. Due to the owner's rude and at times even abusive responses to bad reviews, this restaurant is unfortunately not recommended at all.

We sat at our table for a while, didn't get a menu, and no one came to us. Then we got up and left. I've never experienced anything like it before...I absolutely do not recommend this restaurant.

For us, this is the best restaurant in Erding and the surrounding area. The waitresses are always friendly, and the welcome is always like coming home. The food is excellent. Perfect value for money. Many thanks to Martin and his team for still having restaurants like this.

A TAVER, not a guesthouse, and that's precisely what makes Kreuzeder so unique. The innkeeper has been the boss for over 40 years, and that's a good thing. He and his lovely wife lead a growing team of service staff that's unique here in Erding. A warm friendliness paired with the affectionate "Bavarian grumpiness" that Ganghofer and Thoma often so aptly described in their stories. The ambiance of the dining rooms is inviting and cozy, and you immediately sense the unique atmosphere of a "true Bavarian restaurant." Now for the food, and this is where things get tricky... how Martin Kreuzeder manages to serve portions of this standard and quality, enough for two and more than reasonably priced, is a mystery to me. But enough talking, go and enjoy; you won't regret it. Okay, if you step on the scales the next day, you might regret it for a moment...

Das Ambiente der Gasträume ist einladend und gemütlich und man merkt sofort die einzigartige Atmosphäre einer „echten bayerischen Wirtschaft“. Nun zum Essen und jetzt wird‘s schwierig… wie Martin Kreuzeder es schafft auf diesem Niveau und in dieser Qualität Portionen auf den Tisch zu bringen, die für Zwei reichen und mehr als preiswert sind, ist mir ein Rätsel. Martin König, from Kreuzeder, is, for us, the king of Bavarian cuisine. His dishes are outstanding! Marie, his wife, is the soul of the house. If you like honest, authentic food, this is the place for you! We'll be back, even though we live far away!

Full marks for everything there, I can only recommend it. The really friendly staff even recommended kids' plates that even adults can't manage.

A tavern in the heart of Erding, with Bavarian cuisine and a friendly staff. Fresh, local cuisine that's a treat for the palate. I'm always happy to come back, and I always look forward to the honest word from the owners and service staff. You won't find any hipster chic here 👍🏼

The food was delicious, a huge portion at a reasonable price. Three tasty schnitzels, a delicious salad, and a few fried potatoes. Served with gravy and raspberry compote. It would have been better to have smaller portions and charge less accordingly. The service was helpful with questions, and we never had to wait long for drinks or food. The atmosphere was pleasant.

On the way from Regensburg to the airport today, we stopped at Kreuzeder for lunch on the recommendation of my colleague. Amazing! As a Prussian, I'm easily impressed anyway, but this was fantastic. We spent a weekend in Erding last month and, among other places, were able to stop at the Kreuzeder – we were thrilled. The place was packed when we arrived, but the experienced staff still managed to find us a spot. The finest schnitzel, delicious beer, and a rustic atmosphere – truly hearty. You don't see it often these days, and we love it – keep it up!

I think we could have really had a nice evening here. It's just a shame when the website says, "The host has never let a guest go home hungry. There's a comfortable spot for everyone." And then you arrive and are told, "No, we don't have any space available today." And then you get an offer from some very friendly guests, only to be told that dogs aren't allowed either. So we had to leave hungry after all. It's a real shame. I have to say the service was friendly. But they still shouldn't present it like that. It wouldn't be a bad idea to have a note on the website that dogs aren't allowed; then I would have saved myself the trip.

Guys, if you're in Erding, go to Kreuzeder; they have some really good food there. But I can tell you, you should definitely try it.

Shortly after 8 p.m., they're no longer in the mood for guests. You can't make reservations, and the recorded message invites you to come in. There are still tables available inside, but you might have to wait a bit outside. Unfriendly service sends guests (known customers for years) away, claiming they're out of space. I've never experienced anything like that in Bavaria. What good is all the food?

We were seated at a table – but without a menu. After a long, unnoticed wait, we took the menus ourselves. Two different waitresses came up to us and loudly reprimanded us in front of the entire dining room, explaining that we weren't allowed to do that and would have to wait until they brought us the menus themselves. What was particularly irritating was that one of the waitresses pointedly switched to English, even though I had been speaking German the whole time. Despite this unpleasant scene, we ordered a beer – more out of a desire to defuse the situation. But things were about to get even worse: The owner of the restaurant personally came to our table and mocked us in front of all the guests. He said he wanted to hire us because we obviously knew his job better. When we reacted speechless to this inappropriate comment, he smugly added that there was a very good Italian restaurant across the hall – a very clear order to leave. I'm a tourist, not a local – but still a paying customer. And I'm not obligated to know the internal rituals or house-made customs of a particular establishment, as long as I behave respectfully. Being publicly humiliated just for picking up a menu was shameful and degrading. After this experience, I looked at other negative reviews—and especially the owner's mocking and dismissive responses to them. It confirmed my impression that my background played a role and that our interactions in the establishment weren't so hostile by chance. Believe me, we behaved calmly and respectfully. We were simply trying to speed things up—a small gesture for which we were publicly reprimanded like children. We paid for the beer we hadn't even touched and left the establishment deeply disappointed. I never write negative reviews because I'm a business owner myself and know how unpleasant criticism can be. But this evening wasn't just bad service—it was a humiliating experience with a xenophobic undertone. I've heard a lot of good things about Bavarian hospitality – but this evening was a nightmare for me, both as a guest and as someone who stands for a culture of service and respectful interaction. If you like arrogant and condescending service and are willing to pay for it, this is the place for you.

Very rude, petty, and totally inhospitable. Since there were a lot of guests today, I fetched the menu myself to speed things up, and was publicly berated for it by the waitress and then repeatedly by the chef in front of the entire room. We were forced to pay for the beer and go to the Italian restaurant, as the chef suggested, so he indirectly asked us to leave the restaurant (just for fetching the menu ourselves!)

Unlike Siegfried Boeddecker, I think there's not much show here and a lot of taste. I was there on the evening of June 5th with an English friend and was impressed by this fantastic Bavarian inn cuisine. Everything was homemade and traditionally prepared and very, very tasty, mmmmhmm at Kreizeder ;-) We'd love to come back despite the journey from Leipheim and that's what makes a very good inn, I mean, when it's worth a detour ;-) (I think the Michelin Guide sees it that way too). With that in mind, thank you very much for the great food and the very friendly, warm and funny service. Don't believe the haters. Success breeds envy. Best wishes from Leipheim

This was my second time here, and I made it a point to eat here if we ever come back to Erding! The staff is extremely friendly and fun, and you immediately feel welcome. The food was simply amazing! Lots of show, but little taste. He just can't do it. But he's a big mouth on social media.

Beer was cold and okay. The staff was a bit unfriendly and rude to our kids. However we did get the tap water for free. Everyone's sauce was too salty. As they say in German maybe the chef is in love. Tried to pay with card and was told that wasn't possible. The landlady then pointed to a very tiny almost unreadable red sign on the door and told me that I should have read that on the way in. Luckily my wife had some cash with her otherwise I wouldn't have had enough to pay. Edited Add to my original comment (as apparently the owner is allowed to reply to my comment, but I am unable to reply to theirs) So, I got a reply under my comment, that says my card did not work, unfortunately, you did not allow me to pay by card. So, this is untrue and I can not understand why you say that my card did not work. I can present two adult witness to this untruth and two minors. Could you please explain how "I showed off" (angeben) in your words? All I did was ask to pay by card. Above I just stated my opinion and the truth, however you seem to be personally attacking me. Nice hospitality, maybe a reflection that some of my comments hit a little bit too close to home and in addition you called me an idiot (Deppn)? What was idiotic about my request to pay by card? Next point: What was un-guest like in our or my behaviour? and as for your "Besatzer" comment I can only wonder ...... I would like to say that I did not even include all of my negative comments in my original post, but as you shoud know negatively produces negatively. I did leave some positively in my original post. So here we go. A full review. Firstly, maybe I should have included this in my original post. You need to clean better. My son cut his finger on a glass shard that was in your rug/runner that you have along the bench under the windows facing the street. He was sitting on it and tried to adjust his body position and the shard cut into his pointer finger. My wife found another two pieces of glass closely located between where both my ten year old and my five year old were sitting. Luckily no one else was injuried or maybe there were more and nobody came into contact with them. She put them in a tissue and we did not say anything as we did not want to make a fuss. Secondly, I order fried potatoes (Bratkartoffel) instead of egg noodles (spätzle) ended up with 8 pieces of potato ( 4 very small new baby potatos cut in half) luckily my wife did not finish all of her egg noodles so I could leave your establishment full. Once again, I/we politely did not complain or say anything. Maybe I should have. Your meal was good, except for the sauce being too salty. Nice cut of meat. Salad portion was okay. Nice mixture of ingredients. If this is the owners response below, your attention to service was great, until I asked to pay by card. My main comment about the service being rude was not really directed at you, but at the lady who took our drink and food order. However, from your response below I can see that maybe you have some issues with negative feedback. I apologise that I was not 100% satisfied with my meal. I still gave you two stars. There is room for improvement. Looking forward to seeing to next time and seeing if things have improved! I hope in the future when someone leaves a negative comment or suggests an improvement that they are not personally attacked as well and/or called an idiot. To round off our vacation, we went there for dinner today. We were very impressed by the service and, of course, the food; that's exactly what you'd expect from a Bavarian inn. Thank you so much; you can feel the love and dedication that goes into it. We can't confirm the other comments about the unfriendliness towards children; our son was also taken into account, and the food was adjusted to his size. We definitely recommend it and would be happy to come back. All the best until then.

We went there for the first time at the beginning of the year based on the reviews. I have to say we were disappointed. First of all, the lady at the entrance was swiping on our phones for the certificates. You normally use an app for that, not playing on other people's phones. The menu didn't include a single salad plate. I ordered the meatballs and my husband had the onion roast beef. The portion was generous, and so was the price. The onion roast beef, in particular, was not value for money at all! For 30 euros, we got a piece of prime rib, half of which remained on the plate because you couldn't eat it. In other restaurants, you can get this dish with a sirloin for 16-18 euros. The meatballs were too much, and the sauce was very salty. Maybe they should make the portions smaller and lower the prices. We definitely won't go there again! The impression was created that the losses from the C-era were now being recouped with force. This review is from a visit during the coronavirus pandemic in 2021. Unfortunately, Google didn't publish it earlier. The owner's response demonstrates how the company handles criticism. Everyone should think about it for themselves.

We were at Wirtshaus Kreuzeder two days ago and are still raving about the outstanding food! It was simply fantastic! The quality was superb and the taste was truly amazing. The portions are very generous, and the prices are really reasonable! The waitress was very busy, but still super friendly and attentive! It's truly worth it, and we highly recommend a visit to this restaurant!

Great Bavarian restaurant and friendly staff. Very generous portions. All quality from local farmers, very tender and excellent meat. Good local beer. Very good desserts… we were really lucky to end up in these parts… combining surfing and food was really perfect…

Huge portions at reasonable prices. You can even share dishes between two people. Delicious spices in soups and tasty sauces.
