Very nice restaurant. While waiting at the door you will be given drinks and a snack. When you eat you can tell that it is freshly prepared.

Recommendation: Mala noodles. Very tasty noodle soups! Expect to have to wait in line. However, free gyoza and tea sweeten any waiting time. Great value for money. Ambience is functional. The food is in the foreground.

There should be a more clear specification that the tofu option is no vegetarian 😢

Cosy noodle place with nice service and affordable prices, it was very crowded, we had to wait in line. However the staff is really nice and they bring appetisers and jasmine tea to you for free. We had the classic beef noodle, the Mala noodles and the vegetarian. The noodles themselves were very good with a nice texture, however the overall taste was underseasoned with a lack of flavour.

I ate a spicy beef noodle soup, the soup was great just like you noodles, meat mediocre. The food was overall very tasty, unfortunately the portion was a little small if you like to eat a little more.

Authentic Chinese noodle soup right at Sendlinger Tor in Munich At first glance, the relatively long queue in front of Max's Beef Noodles (which is actually a good sign) promises a lot of standing around and waiting for a long time. That's not the case... In a maximum of 13 minutes you can sit at your table and order. There is a reason for this that I will talk about again at the end. The relatively short wait in line is sweetened with warm jasmine tea and delicious homemade gyozas (I know it's Japanese. But that's what they're called on the menu). Of course everything is on the house. That's very friendly and thoughtful. You can choose between various starters, noodle soups and other noodle dishes (see map). As the name suggests, the noodle is the main focus at Maxs Beef Noodles. While you wait for your food, you can watch the noodles being prepared and pulled by hand. They are actually extremely tasty, which is a bit lost because of the unfortunately somewhat bland broth and the unspectacular toppings. Therefore, unfortunately only four stars for the food. The spinach salad was very tasty! The restaurant is really very authentic, which makes it a real experience. This brings me to my first paragraph: When you have finished eating, you are relatively quickly asked to vacate the place and leave to make room for the next customers. What may seem a bit rude at first glance is, however, completely normal and you shouldn't let it bother you, but rather be understanding. I would love to come back and would recommend the restaurant to all my friends.

Best noodles in Munich. They are always busy but don’t let that deter you because the line most fairly fast! And they distribute snacks or tea to those waiting sometimes.

Overall the service was the best we had in this place. Free gyozas and tea while you wait to be seated (10-20mins), the staff are friendly and efficient. However, the food is overly hyped for what you get. The noodles are freshly made but there is no seasoning at all, you have to look thoroughly for the few bites of beef. I ordered fried noodles with beef and that’s what I got - no sauce, no veggies, no taste. I wouldn’t recommend this place, there should be better spots to enjoy noodle soup.

Great authentic la mian beef noodles, very popular with Chinese tourists and diaspora alike. Always a long queue, and during a snowstorm, they kindly allowed us to queue inside instead of freezing outside.

Incredible Service and great taste with very fair prices

In my opinion, this place is massively overrated. Hand-pulled noodles were tasty, but that’s it. The broth was ok, the beef was not good at all. Gyozas with chicken were ok, but they’re quite fat (deep fried). The waiters treat the outside queue with free gyozas and tea, which is nice. You’d have to wait around 15-20 minutes in the queue, there’s not so much space inside, and the furniture has noticeable signs of wear. Overall, I’d recommend to search for different noodles place, check out the one in the Galeria near Marienplatz, for example.

Very tender noodles maybe a little overcooked but the place is very full most of the time . Also for 12 yo 15 euros for the quality -service - cleanliness is a bit overpriced better at ( 8 _10 euros is recommended.) Also potion for sides are bit crazy. No way i could pay 4.50 for 3 Dumplings I wouldnt recommend going in a group as the place mostly offers singer or two pers sits.

The place mainly makes noodles with or without broth of many different types or gyoza, edamame, spring rolls and more. The noodles I had were made of meat and were really excellent accompanied by exquisite gyoza. It's also very nice to see before your eyes how the noodles are prepared! It may seem like an unkept environment but the food is really excellent at a cheap price! You can also ask for a free refill and simple noodles with soy sauce will be brought to you. Highly recommended

This place is completely overrated. I ordered the Maxs beef noodle soup , sadly the broth was tasteless. The noodles were tasty you could really tell that they were handmade. Other than that its really not worth the long waiting time. However, the waiter and in general the staff was really nice.

So far, these are my favourite noodles in Munich. They’re made freshly right before your eyes, and they taste incredibly. The beef broth in the soup tastes fresh and delicious. Gyozas are also very good. It was super nice that the staff give tea to people waiting for the table, I really appreciated it. The prices are also affordable, especially for Munich standards and the location. Highly recommend stopping by

Food is amazing as always; fresh, tender meat, on-the-spot made noodles, and great mix of spices combine to make some of the best meals. One should expect a brief wait to have a seat. However, since the service is quick and efficient, I had to wait for no more than 10 minutes. We got served free tea outside the restaurant and free dumplings inside.

It usually takes only 5 mins for them to prepare the food! *it’s not the kind of restaurant that u could be chill at okayy!* I always order their fried chicken as Vorspeise :”) it’s my favorite. Rest of it? Just figure it urself :)) In the pic : Hongshao Noodle (beef) & Yuntuen Noodle (Shrimp) in the pic! If you want have a sweet noodle just order Curry Noodle.. or the fried noodle one :) Careful with Mala bcs it’s spicy! If you queue outside in the cold you get free tea and snacks - what hospitality! :) Noodle soups here cost around €12 - fair prices. The noodles are hand-pulled and you can taste it. Personally, as a soup lover, I would have liked a little more soup, but perhaps far too much is thrown away - so this is only a minor point of criticism. :) All in all, really wonderful dining experience had here. Authentic like in China!🫶

Excellent food, exceptional Ramen and freshly made

Don't be afraid of the line at the entrance. This place works like a finely tuned mechanism. The staff is very polite, I was amazed by their knowledge of many different languages. And of course the food is very tasty!

It's always nice to be there as a guest. Service is very important there. While you're waiting you'll be called in so you don't have to stand in the cold/rain. At the same time you will be given tea to make the waiting time more pleasant. The food is always freshly prepared (see video). The quantity and quality are completely fair to the prices. The restaurant is simple, but beautifully decorated with wall drawings. Due to the many positive points, it is logical that you sometimes have to expect a long waiting time. However, the visit is always worth it!

I think the service ( free snacks and drinks) was great, also the server spoke great Spanish. My only complain was that the broth was flavorless. I ordered 麻辣牛肉麵 ( Mala beef soup) but it didn’t taste 麻 ( numbing)or 辣( spicy). There were no 花椒 ( Chinese Pepper) in the soup, which is a basic ingredient for anything Mala flavored. The noodles were good and handmade , but the broth can be improved.

The business of Max’s Beef Noodles is very good, so much so that every day when I pass by, I see many people queuing outside, even in the coldest night (it was a snowy night on 11/21/2024). Outside, you can see the boss making fresh beef noodles in the store. He kneads it with his hands and pulls the noodles one at a time, so the texture of the noodles is springy and delicious. We were on a business trip to Germany for 19 days. We saw it every time we passed by and couldn't help but eat at this restaurant three times. The store is very considerate. In cold weather, when people are queuing up outside, they will ask some people to go inside and wait on the stairs inside the store first. They will also serve hot tea or snacks to the guests to make them feel better while waiting. It feels warm and doesn't feel like it lasts long. I think Max's Beef Noodles is the best Chinese beef noodle dish in Germany. The three times we ate there, we had Max's Beef Nudeln, Hongshoa Nudeln, Spinatsalat, and Gurkensalat. (Cucumber pat), Seetangsalat (kelp salad), Yuntuen Nudeln (shrimp wonton noodles). My favorite among them is the braised beef noodles.

This is the first time I came, and I craving for the strong taste food, so I tried the curry chicken noodle. If you like strong curry taste, it's worthed to try and yeah! the noodle texture is great.

Very tasty noodles and big portions! You will most likely queue for a bit outside but no time gets wasted: you can look at the menu and write down your order on the papers outside while you wait. Bonus points for the staff that offers spring rolls, and other small bites to the people queueing

A famous noodle place. While waiting in line, they offer different teas or chips and fried chicken. A portion of meat noodles was 9.90 Euros. WC was clean. A place that can be visited again, it is also in the center. The pleasure of eating with chopsticks and interesting sauces and spices are waiting to be tried. Credit cards are not accepted. They find out what you're going to eat next and make it while you wait.

Always busy and bustling with people. Standing in line is absolutely worth it, the food is delicious. The atmosphere is as if you were in a Chinese local, the cooks and waiters are talking, you can hear the constant smacking of the dough for the next few portion of noodles. The food itself is fantastic. I don’t have any reasons to visit Munich but after eating at Maxs Beef noodles I have.

It falls squarely in my top 3 noodle restaurants. The noodles are very good. The wines we chose were also very delicious, but what I have to highlight is the attention and service, great, on another level. They don't reserve and there are always lines, but it goes quickly and they take care of it.

I’ve never experienced hospitality like this in any restaurant before. The one-hour wait was a clear sign that the food would be amazing—and it absolutely was! Authentic, delicious, and priced incredibly well. What truly stood out, though, was the guest experience. While we waited, one employee kept walking back and forth, offering everyone samples of food and hot tea to keep us comfortable. It made the wait feel so much more pleasant. When it came time to pay, everything was smooth, even though we learned it was cash only (so be prepared for that). Huge kudos to the whole team, especially the person who took such great care of the guests waiting outside. Hospitality like this is rare, and it left a lasting impression. Highly recommend this place!

I ordered noodles mit Rindfleisch. Their taste was good enough but the portion was almost small and it literally had two ingredients; meat and cabbage, nothing else! I have never seen such a poor plate in a restaurant. We also ordered gyozas which were pretty fine, only their dipping sauce was literally a drop, but it was enough. At last we have ordered spring rolls that never came, we asked what was wrong and they answered that they were finished, something that they never mentioned when we gave the order. I don’t understand why this restaurant is so highly reviewed. Overrated and almost disappointing.

Authentic Chinese La Mian. I felt transported back to my time in China. There are also some Chinese guests on site, you can't put a bear on them. We ordered the vegetarian noodles without broth and one noodle soup Chongqing style. Both were great, as were the dumplings and starters at the front. It's also cheap. Highly recommended. It doesn't get any more Chinese than that.

We walked by the previous night and saw a serious queue outside the restaurant, so we could tell this place was super popular. We got here shortly after opening and there was already a wait! They start the line inside and only when it fills up does the line begin outside. It's getting cold and the will bring out hot tea to keep customers warm. To keep the lines moving, they may ask if you're willing to share a table with other guests, but it's up to you to decide whether you accept or not. The front of house gentleman is very friendly and understands German, English, Mandarin, and a bit of Cantonese which was very helpful for us visiting tourists. The portions are big! I had the hong shou beef noodles. Great flavor and the pieces of beef were tender.

Authentic beef ramen, there may be a queue for the meal

A friend from northern Germany flew over from northern Germany at noon and asked for Marx ramen and pancakes. I had never queued up before. I was shocked when I saw the queue. My friend said that normally, sometimes the queue goes to another street. These two foreigners are more local than locals 🤣 While we were waiting in line outside, the store provided snacks and hot tea. We were hungry and ate and drank, three rounds in a row. The service is also very good. I started ordering when we were not even in line. When we arrived, I had just stepped in. Before my eyes and brain could fully react, I saw two waiters swishing at lightning speed from the corner of my eye. Put them all on the table. It was very delicious, but I ate too much outside. Finally, I was given another dish, which was so full that it burst. I asked if we wanted more noodles. I thought it would be nice if there were no noodles left. The pancake and fruit plan was completely ruined. The only drawback is that I had to queue for a long time outside in the cold wind to wait for a table. The service was so good that I couldn't bear to give it a 4.

We tried 3 Chinese restaurants in munich and this is the only one won hands down for being the most authentic and delicioius noodles in Munich. In my opinion, both are reeeeally delicious but the dry noodles are more flavourful than the soup noodles.

Definitely a restaurant to visit. If I go to Munich again, it is one of the places I will go again. There is a queue in front of the hotel, but while you are waiting in line, they offer treats such as manti and green tea, and when you enter, your food comes immediately. I was recently at Max's Beef Noodles in Sendlinger Tor and I have to say: this small, inconspicuous noodle bar absolutely blew me away! If you are looking for the best Chinese noodle soup in Munich, you will definitely find it here. The broth is simply amazing! You can practically taste that it has been pulled from beef bones for hours. It is full-bodied, aromatic and has just the right amount of spice. The noodles are hand-pulled and freshly prepared - a real taste explosion! The soup was by far the best I have ever eaten in Munich. The atmosphere is rather rustic and is perfect for a quick, tasty lunch. The service is super fast and friendly. What is particularly noteworthy is that tips are not expected here. I highly recommend Max's Beef Noodles and will definitely come back!

Amazing noodles, hand made, flavorful and right texture. There was a queue outside but it was quick to get in and food came quick too.

Ate the spinach salad for lunch, which was okay. But the stem could have been removed a little more generously. Ate the fried vegetarian noodles as the main course. This was a big chunk of noodles (not fried) in a tasteless puddle of some kind of sauce. Plus four barely cooked broccoli trees. Either the vegetarian dish needs to be revised or it needs to be removed from the menu. But I haven't eaten so badly in a long time. When paying, the question arose as to whether it was too tasteless, and the problem is apparently known. At least €4 was waived off the bill. All in all disappointing.

Even though the line was pretty long, it didn't take much time to get in. While we were waiting, they gave us some tea and snacks. We ordered the gyozas (N°9), fried chicken (N°8), Rindfleisch (N°31) and Hongshao Nudeln (N°21). Everything was great. The 2 entries were top tier, and the noodles from the 2 main courses were awesome. The taste of the soup and noodlea was good, even though I expected them to be more flavorful. The chili oil is a must, but don't abuse because it IS spicy. Remember, it is cash only. The food is worth the waiting, definitely a must try.

You can't make a reservation. Therefore, you can be prepared to be outside in the cold in winter and then in the heat in summer. Basically not a place to linger comfortably and chat in a relaxed manner. Also, my drink was warm. Only cash payment possible. Tips are politely returned. Conclusion: If you like to stand in line like a hipster and then quickly eat your food, this is the place for you. I can't recommend it for anyone else.

Despite the long wait, I would recommend this store. Hot, delicious jasmine tea was served while we waited, which was very pleasant in the cold outside. You could still get free tea inside. There were also rice crackers and Chinese dumplings, which were given to customers free of charge. Wonderful! The system has been optimized and works great, you can practically order outside. Nevertheless, it puts you under pressure, you think you have to hurry up so that the others can get in quickly. In their opinion, my friends' soups were great, especially the homemade noodles. My fried noodles were also delicious, but the broccoli topping was cold, got warm when I stirred the noodles, but would be nice if the first bite you take (the broccoli :D) wasn't cold. Price-performance was okay! The interior seemed very authentic, I really had the feeling for a moment that I wasn't in Germany.

Now that we have been to Max Beef Noodle for the twentieth time, I would now like to leave a review. Very authentic beef noodle restaurant with very tasty soups and starters. The highlight is certainly the pasta, which is pulled by hand. To be honest, the store is just amazing. We love coming here so often. The service is very friendly and accommodating, as people waiting in front of the shop are also offered drinks and small additions to their food to pass the time. MEGA!

The staff were all so nice. We had to wait outside in the cold due to high demand, but they gave us hot green tea. And also crab chips and much more. The food was just fantastic. Incredibly delicious and you don't have to pay a fortune. And the fact that they were so generous with the portion size was an extra plus. I have never been to such a great noodle shop in Munich as here.
