We recently visited Fränk'ness in Nuremberg and, given its upscale price range, had correspondingly high expectations for the overall experience.
Our table was quite small and very close to the other guests, which made the atmosphere feel somewhat hectic. We had asked if a cut of meat could be substituted during the meal; the server checked with the kitchen, but unfortunately, an adjustment wasn't possible.
We enjoyed the pike-perch ceviche, although it was more of a modern interpretation than a classic ceviche.
We noticed a few details in the service that didn't quite live up to the restaurant's usual standards: the cutlery for the main course was served over the soup plate, and the table was cleared while we were still at the table. We also would have appreciated a more personal farewell when leaving.
Unfortunately, the cooking levels of the main courses didn't quite match our order – the duck breast was overcooked, and the beef fillet was more medium than medium-rare. Furthermore, we were surprised that, for a 250g beef fillet costing almost €60, the sauce and side dishes had to be ordered and paid for separately.
Our conclusion: Overall, the visit was okay, but we see room for improvement in the value for money and in accommodating individual guest requests. For the price range, we had hoped for a more cohesive overall experience. We will not be returning.
A superbly charming and Mediterranean atmosphere—the food is sensational, and the Greek vibe is incredibly palpable—ultimately top-notch service, genuine warmth, and a top location just outside Munich! It's the people who make the difference, and the Mythos team is simply world-class!
I used to really appreciate this restaurant, especially for its wonderfully thick, rich sauces and large pieces of chicken. However, my impressions have changed on my last few visits. The sauce seemed noticeably thinner than before, and the chicken pieces weren't what I remembered. I don't know if I was just unlucky or if something has changed in the preparation. Unfortunately, the Chicken Tikka Masala didn't impress me this time.
We went there for dinner with friends. The menu is extensive but not overwhelming. The service was always friendly and attentive. The drinks arrived quickly, and the food came at just the right time, with ample time between the starter and main course.
The portions were very generous for the price, almost too much, but the food was absolutely delicious. A special thank you to the kitchen!
All in all, a very pleasant evening with fantastic food.
The only downside, which isn't the restaurant's fault, is the noise level, but it's something you can tolerate.
Thank you, and keep up the good work!
