Yesterday, the two of us went to Storstad Essen and had a truly wonderful evening with a 5-course menu. The food was excellent and varied. Compared to our last visit a few years ago, we think the cuisine has improved even further. The service was very attentive and pleasant, and the sommelier also gave us excellent advice. You can tell the team works well together. Many thanks to the entire team for the wonderful evening, and especially to Mr. Schmaus for his support in our advance planning 😊 We'd love to come back 👍🏻

The ambiance is OK, but there's not really any alternative in Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Unfortunately, the waiters are very unfriendly and rude.

Yesterday, the service and food were very good. Today, after a 90-minute wait, I canceled my meal and left. At the next table, guests learned after a 60-minute wait that their ordered food was no longer available, and they were thrilled. Even if there could be longer waits, you should inform guests and not pretend everything is fine. When I canceled, there was still discussion with the manager/chef; there was no understanding or apology for the fact that I had already waited 1.5 hours. He works so hard, and the restaurant industry is in such a bad way, but he showed zero understanding for the fact that 100 guests were furious. Sorry, but this is unacceptable.
