We went there based on an online recommendation – well, let's just say it wasn't great.
The ambiance was okay, nothing special. The restrooms were in a dilapidated state and dirty, and there wasn't even any paper towels for drying our hands during our visit.
The beer was good, but the fruit spritzer tasted bland and was served without ice.
The appetizers were good. Unfortunately, one of our appetizers was forgotten, and they claimed we hadn't ordered it. Ordering it again wasn't worth it due to the long wait. While every table receives free pappad (lentil wafers), you can also order them for €3.50. Unaware of this, we ordered them and didn't notice any difference compared to tables that had received them for free. The waiter suggested there were probably more of them. However, compared to other tables, we thought everything looked identical. Ordering them was pointless.
The quality of the main courses was inconsistent. The amount of meat in the tandoori dishes was very generous. However, there was absolutely no spiciness, even though the menu described it as medium-spicy. Even the samosas (appetizer) were MUCH spicier. That's unacceptable at an Indian restaurant. Plus, there was way too little sauce. The mango curry tasted good and also had plenty of meat, but it contained some gristly/fatty pieces of chicken.
Prices were okay.
It wasn't a complete disaster, but I wouldn't go back.
A wonderful salad plate consisting of various fresh greens with delicious dressings and well-seasoned chicken pieces; the fries were crispy and tasty.
The ambiance was rustic and cozy – the adjoining room had a wood-burning stove.
The waitresses were very attentive and friendly.
We'll gladly come again!
The ambiance is extremely unusual, definitely not to everyone's taste, and the service is very attentive. However, the food is rather below average for the very high price. The restaurant is more suitable for events and functions than for a simple meal.
We've been to this restaurant three times now and have been delighted every time. The exceptionally welcoming atmosphere, combined with highly professional service, makes each visit special. The food is consistently outstanding and prepared with great care.
Whether you're there spontaneously, for a special meal with family, or with friends – you always feel welcome here. The noise level is also very pleasant: even when all the tables are occupied, the atmosphere remains relaxed and cozy.
Fantastic food! We had mango lassi, avocado and mango salad, palak chicken, and tandoori. Everything was perfectly seasoned, and you could immediately tell it was homemade.
Cozy little restaurant.
We'll definitely be back!
Unfortunately, my experience at this restaurant was bad. The food was very bad, especially the broasted chicken, which was a completely different, dark color. It was my first and last experience.
I've rarely experienced anything like it. Throughout our entire stay, the chef was almost constantly outside on the stairs, smoking with his girlfriend, instead of working in the kitchen – completely unprofessional and extremely off-putting. The waiter looked utterly disheveled, very unfocused, insecure, and, frankly, as if he were drunk. The service, demeanor, and overall impression were simply unacceptable. We never once had any confidence in the kitchen or the service. Definitely never again.
It was my first time eating Indian food. The food was absolutely delicious, and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. I will definitely come back and would say it's the best Indian restaurant in Nuremberg :)
We thoroughly enjoyed the three-course menu with amuse-bouche and wine pairing and can highly recommend it. The cuisine was of a very high standard. The presentation was very successful and creative. The wine pairing was also of very high quality, although opinions may differ on the Gewürztraminer as the wine with dessert. The service was very attentive. The ambiance is also very appealing and a bit different from the usual. I was slightly bothered by the fact that the restaurant is somewhat noisy across the floors, and we could still hear the children from the ground floor, but this only marginally detracted from our enjoyment and my recommendation.
Everything was great! We were at Leo's with a large group and it was really excellent! The food was superb and the cocktails were top-notch. There was absolutely nothing to complain about.
