The food was exquisite! I was there yesterday and unfortunately had an experience I wouldn't wish on anyone. Due to a lack of regular maintenance on the bathroom doors, I was locked in for 45 minutes! And there was no window... The staff managed to break the lock, and I got out. I was nervous after the half hour of being locked in! After the commotion!! We decided to stay for dinner. The restaurant only offered us a complimentary dessert... When we asked for the bill, we were shocked by the lack of empathy for the trauma and stress it had caused me! I mean, no discount at all! In the end, they charged us 10 euros less and then asked for a tip? Truly pathetic!!

Nice restaurant with delicious food, but unfortunately, I wouldn't go back. The place is packed to the last corner, with tables crammed to the last corner, and it's also quite busy, so the noise level is very high, and you have to talk to each other really loudly. The prices are unfortunately simply too high for such an average experience. The service was also inattentive at times; they wanted to clear my food even though I wasn't finished, and then they were a bit pushy towards the end. So, ⭐️⭐️⭐️-⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We celebrated our anniversary here yesterday because it's my girlfriend's favorite restaurant. The service was 10/10; the staff accommodated all our reservation requests and were very friendly. The food was good; there was nothing to complain about. The only minor criticism: the tables are a bit close together, but probably not a problem for extroverts. The location is perfect: There's parking everywhere and plenty of parking garages nearby.

Flavorful and freshly prepared dishes, super crunchy vegetables, and wonderfully flavorful tofu in the vegan/vegetarian dishes. I can highly recommend the food. I like to order takeout; it's quite loud on site, and the music inside is a bit too loud for my taste in the evenings. Prices are relatively expensive, but the dishes are very tasty. We both thought it was OK. Got a lot of duck but little rice and little sauce, all quite tasteless. It was expensive for that. €20-23 per dish. Cocktails were very tasty. And you sit between a lot of people without a “big” distance.

Super delicious food! Diverse and fresh. I had the wok vegetables with tofu and the vegetarian dumplings. Both super tasty and very filling. The cocktails are also great. We felt very comfortable and had a great time. We'll definitely come back.

Friendly service. Restaurant very crowded and therefore unfortunately very loud. The chicken must have been treated with meat tenderizer or something, it tasted more like sausage (both in the dumplings and in the main course). The taste is therefore disappointing… I probably won't come again.

Ich hab leider noch nie bei einem so schlechten Vietnamesen in München gegessen. Wir haben sehr lang auf unser Essen gewartet, das hat dann leider auch nicht besonders gut geschmeckt. Wir saßen zu Dritt an einem kleinen Zweier-Tisch. Preis-Leistungsverhältnis stimmt hier nicht.

I love the food here, I always go for the Tofu Cashew and Hello Shami cocktail, very refreshing. The homemade gyoza are to die for, super soft and delicious. Service can be a little slow but the staff are nice. Surprisingly good wine selection. I’ve been going here for about 5 years now and it never disappoints!

Queríamos comer vieiras. Hicimos una pregunta en un sitio web de Munich - donde en Munich se puede comer vieiras y recibimos las direcciones de unos 30 restaurantes. Elegimos este, ubicación conveniente, interior moderno, gran selección de platos, incluyendo mariscos. Según el menú, incluso hay champán. Al mismo tiempo, decidimos celebrar mi cumpleaños. Debido al riesgo de alergias, no me adentré en la naturaleza culinaria. Solo tomé vieiras, como plato principal tomé pato con arroz frito y salsa de maní, un cóctel con el hermoso nombre de "Geisha Queen" y Campari Orange. Probamos el té asiático de tazas pequeñas. Todo estaba muy sabroso. Al final trajeron un regalo de cumpleaños - un postre con fuegos artificiales. Todo es muy bonito y hermoso. La sala del restaurante es algo estrecha, pero muy acogedor. El restaurante estaba casi completamente lleno, zumbando como una linda colmena. La música ligera también estaría bien. Las reservas son obligatorias, de lo contrario podría no haber asientos libres. Y gracias especiales al equipo, no al personal, sino al equipo. Todos son jóvenes y al mismo tiempo muy atentos y competentes. Gracias a ellos, el restaurante tiene un ambiente increíble. Y aunque hay bastantes restaurantes en Munich, me gustaría venir aquí de nuevo.

The restaurant is not big, but cozy. The food tastes excellent and justifies the price. Minus point: the table is reassigned after 2.5 hours.

We were warmly welcomed and had reserved in advance. Everything worked out wonderfully. Placing orders was easy. Drinks arrived immediately The food was very well prepared and tasted very tasty. We were also asked whether we were satisfied, great! The prices are still reasonable. The staff are friendly and polite. Overall, we had a lovely evening and are looking forward to our next visit.

Unfortunately the price-performance ratio is not right. I would have expected more from the chicken curry.

We are here right now, the food tastes absolutely extraordinary. The restaurant is authentically decorated and has very nice staff. You feel really comfortable and happy, big recommendation! When we saw them, we ate the whole plate for two (decoration is left, now we move on 😅)

Take Away Experience: For a Pho that costs 18 euros, the take away portions were very small. Hardly any meat and few greens. Maybe the portions are more reasonable if you eat there, but for the price at take away it's really really bad! Too bad.

I called to ask if there was a vegan option because it said so but wasn't clear on the menu. The answer was: "No, because it doesn't taste good!" It's a shame that you can't get a plant-based version given the wide selection, but there are plenty of restaurants that don't have a problem with that.

The food is borderline bad… unfortunately not a recommendation. Service at reception was rather unfriendly, the service from the waiter was very friendly and the atmosphere was quite nice.

Asian fusion place with great selection. I keep coming back for the steak with wok vegetables. Service is very a good and the staff is lovely. Make sure you reserve a place.

Wir wurden nett empfangen, hatten vorher reserviert, alles hat geklappt. Bestellung aufgeben war unkompliziert,. Getränke kamen sofort passend Essen war super, toll angerichtet und schmeckte sehr lecker. Es wurde nachgefragt ob wir zufrieden sind, top! Die Preise sind angemessen. Mitarbeiter sind freundlich und höflich. Wir hatten einen schönen Silvesterabend und vergeben 5*.

I think it's one of the best Vietnamese locals here in Munich. The starters and main courses were all freshly prepared and tasted excellent. We had a great white wine from Austria, a Pinot Gris.😋 Always my pleasure.

That was our last visit to Shami. The food was always good, but the Vietnamese friendliness is very, very far away. It starts with being told at the door that you now have 2 hours. Sorry, but then I'll go to McDonald's across the street if I just want something quick. Your prices aren't like those in a fast food restaurant either. Good business and good luck 👋🏻

Overall: Nice place, but really wouldn't call it 'fine dining' From the outside, it makes you question your choice a little bit, which, luckily, as you come in, is not being confirmed. The food is also nice, though nothing is greatly outstanding and for the price, I probably won't wouldn't come back. The overall experience didn't quite add up for me and whilst my company was great and the food was nice, there's simply too much competition in Munich to call this an outstanding fine dining restaurant

So far my favorite Vietnamese restaurant in Munich, not over sweet or over salty. Serve with very tasty source. Only the room is too crowded and too loud.

Unbelievably good! Please don't hesitate to go and get your taste buds blown away. The food quality is super high and the simple yet stylish style of the restaurant gives a very cozy and pleasant experience. The service is amazing and you feel the love that they put into it. There is no German like traditional bad service atmosphere and no pressure of any kind.

Das Essen war sehr gut, manche Portionen recht groß, andere unverhältnismäßig klein. Der Wein war für die Qualität deutlich zu teuer. Man sitzt auch recht eng. Insgesamt lohnt sich der Besuch aber.

Excellent food. Only have the mixed starter if you are REALLY hungry. Very popular restaurant, even on a Monday evening out of season. Entrance is not obvious, so make sure you know where it is in advance. More expensive than other Vietnamese restaurants in Munich, but worth a visit.

Very good cuisine with well-mixed cocktails. What stands out: there are a lot of dishes with shrimp on the menu. For vegetarians who don't like tofu, there are almost only a handful of dishes on the very detailed menu. Otherwise cool atmosphere, a bit loud when it's full, but otherwise a good Vietnamese place near Münchner Freiheit.

Cozy Vietnamese restaurant with good food and lovely ambience in the heart of Schwabing. Perfect for occasional nice dinners, dates or Birthdays! Food and drinks are although great, a bit expensive and the portions are relatively small!

Attention dog owners!! There are Top-Tox poison baits against rodents on the floor. Dogs are allowed and owners are not advised of the danger. Today we were seated at a table where my dog ​​ate the poison bait after a short while. The staff's biggest concern was that we wouldn't take the gift box and pay for our bottle of water.

If you're a vegetarian and don't like tofu, there's only 1 uninteresting food on the menu, which is a shame. The duck meat might be tastier. Decor cool and modern, no outside seating.

That was the surprise of the whole stay in Munich. From the outside it's an inconspicuous metal door, when you go in you don't expect anything special. As soon as you open the curtain you walk into a beautiful, authentic little shop with wonderful food! We were more than thrilled and will definitely come back. In our opinion, price/performance is perfect. We were also very full and didn't find the portions small at all. We were also served very nicely. Gladly again

We spent our girls' evening here, we were probably lucky as it wasn't that busy. I had the vegetarian dish, which was really delicious, very fresh and tasted great. Unfortunately there was no rice with it, you would have had to order it separately, I don't know that from any other Asian restaurant. The papaya salad was also very tasty. Despite the great food, I have to deduct points with a heavy heart. Firstly for the hectic and listless service. And secondly, as I was leaving, I unfortunately saw how this same waitress in the checkout area quickly slapped the mochi ice cream onto the plate for an order. Without gloves, even though she collects money and runs around with the card machine. I have no understanding of this and it makes me question the restaurant's general hygiene concept. It's a shame, I would have liked to come back but eating out is always a question of trust. I hope you take this criticism to heart.

Very nice little restaurant. All meals are also available to take away. The menu is manageable - a few starters, rice noodle bowls & curries, but really tasty! It's also inexpensive: dishes from the lunch menu + drink cost around 13-15 euros. The portions are large enough that you can actually feel full even without a starter. All in one - a clear recommendation!

The food is impeccable and really worth five stars. The increased prices due to costs and taxes are understandable. However, the waitress' attitude was a bit arrogant, which I can't understand why people are like that towards the guests. The space in the restaurant is a bit tight, obviously more seats were added at the expense of space. The tables are very small and if there are a lot of people there, you'll bump into other guests' chairs or tables when you walk, which is very uncomfortable. In addition, the cocktails are well mixed, you can see that the bartender is very skilled and knows his craft.

Wir waren zum zweiten Mal mittags im Shami. Heute ohne Reservierung, aber nach 13 Uhr war es kein Problem spontan einen Platz zu bekommen. Netter Service. Die Hauptgerichte waren beide sehr gut: ein mal Lachs mit Wokgemüse, ein mal Tofu-Ananas in Erdnuss-Sauce. Appetitlich auf schönem Geschirr serviert. Dazu gab es bei uns Tee in kleinen Kännchen. Auch das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis der Mittagskarte ist absolut in Ordnung. Wir kommen gerne wieder.
