A proper, traditional restaurant with fantastic Bavarian dishes on the menu. We tried the fried chicken salad and the roast ox in dark beer sauce. It was absolutely delicious. Anyone who's in Regensburg and doesn't eat there is missing out.

We visited the Kneitinger restaurant and were absolutely delighted! The food was excellent, freshly prepared, and of truly high quality. The portions were generous and the flavors were absolutely fantastic. The restaurant itself is also wonderful – cozy, inviting, and full of charm. You immediately feel at ease. Overall, a superb visit – highly recommended!

Delicious beer and food. The dark beer and roast pork were divine. The veal sausages and braised ox cheeks were also very tasty. They even cater to individual requests. For example, the sausages came with a still-warm potato salad. The potato dumplings and red cabbage were also excellent. I'll definitely be back; I still need to try everything on the menu. So far, I've been extremely satisfied.

The overall environment was okay, except the waiters seemed to sense we weren't German; their German wasn't very good and they seemed quite rude, but they smiled at German customers. We visited this cozy inn twice during our stay in Regensburg. It boasts excellently brewed beer, friendly service, and a varied menu (Sauers Lüngerl!). We were very satisfied, as were the many Regensburg residents who enjoyed themselves in the cozy dining room.

I was there one weekday morning. For me, it was an oasis of peace and relaxation. A particular highlight is the dark beer from Kneitinger.

It was a cozy, rustic affair. We happened upon the 75th tapping of the ram by chance. It was worth it; the atmosphere was unique, and brass bands celebrated the tapping. We loved the mood and the atmosphere. This won't be our last visit. 😃

Prices are reasonable and portions are also for big eaters.

The staff is also very attentive and friendly. The dog is always welcome, and occasionally gets a cuddle or a greeting from the kitchen staff.

Bought some delicious beer at the pub today. Unfortunately, it seems like you have to pay attention to the expiration date. Expired beer straight from the brewery. That's something.

We wanted a place for two people. The staff weren't accommodating or friendly. "Do you have a reservation? We don't have any space!" All in all, disappointing.

It's not possible to pay by card, I spent half an hour going to ATMs. Even at Dulta in a tent it's possible!

Wonderful cheese spaetzle, a fresh, hearty side salad, all so delicious, accompanied by a non-alcoholic wheat beer. Friendly service from a lady with a pleasant foreign accent. The unemployed, old, plump waitress was irritating. She sat down with three customers and spent 20 minutes complaining about her colleagues, finding nothing good, and having little knowledge of anything, such as how to use credit cards and the taxation of tips. Only when her junior manager came by and asked her to get to work did things calm down.

I have to say, even by Bavarian standards, I've rarely experienced such an unfriendly, unpleasant waiter - it was unacceptable! There were 11 of us there, and despite the restaurant being almost empty, we couldn't get a table where we could all sit, so we had to split up, which isn't exactly the point of a company outing. The food was just okay, but nothing more. The side salad was practically swimming in salad dressing, which is why the waiter almost spilled it all over my blouse. Luckily, there was only a puddle of salad dressing (which, of course, wasn't mopped up) next to our table. My vegetarian colleagues had a hard time finding something to eat, as the menu is extremely meat-heavy. This isn't unusual for a Bavarian restaurant, of course, but they could have at least made the effort to include a vegetarian section on the menu, even if it only featured very few dishes. The lunch menu is only valid until 1:30 PM, and there's only one lunch dish per weekday, usually not vegetarian-friendly. Overall, I can't recommend this restaurant. There are plenty of alternatives nearby, and I wish we'd chosen one of them!

Very good traditional food, the meat was tender and well-seasoned, and the Käsespetzle (cheese dumplings) were fresh and homemade. The food didn't take long to arrive. All requests were taken into account and fulfilled. A great location, rustic and stylish, absolutely worth a visit if you're in Regensburg or the surrounding area.

Whenever we go to the theater in Regensburg, a visit to Kneitinger is a must before or after. It's a traditional inn. Rustically furnished. The service is hearty and friendly, Bavarian. The beer is delicious, and the food is tasty. One of the few places that still serves spleen sausage or sour lüngerl (a kind of sausage with a sauerkraut). Or sometimes other offal. The prices are reasonable. We feel at home.
