It's not possible to pay by card, I spent half an hour going to ATMs. Even at Dulta in a tent it's possible!

Wonderful cheese spaetzle, a fresh, hearty side salad, all so delicious, accompanied by a non-alcoholic wheat beer. Friendly service from a lady with a pleasant foreign accent. The unemployed, old, plump waitress was irritating. She sat down with three customers and spent 20 minutes complaining about her colleagues, finding nothing good, and having little knowledge of anything, such as how to use credit cards and the taxation of tips. Only when her junior manager came by and asked her to get to work did things calm down.

Clean beer, especially the Bock beer, is highly recommended. Good Bavarian cuisine. There's always something going on here – the waiters do their best, but you just have to factor in a bit of a wait and relax with a half-liter.

A quaint old brewery with plenty of space for everyone from singles to large groups, serving very good beer. We didn't try the food, but the menu was very well-stocked; there was definitely something for us. Everything here is very well-preserved, and you can see what it used to be like from the pictures on the walls. The staff is very friendly and attentive; it's the ideal place for a good beer or something delicious to eat. We will definitely go back.

I have to say, even by Bavarian standards, I've rarely experienced such an unfriendly, unpleasant waiter - it was unacceptable! There were 11 of us there, and despite the restaurant being almost empty, we couldn't get a table where we could all sit, so we had to split up, which isn't exactly the point of a company outing. The food was just okay, but nothing more. The side salad was practically swimming in salad dressing, which is why the waiter almost spilled it all over my blouse. Luckily, there was only a puddle of salad dressing (which, of course, wasn't mopped up) next to our table. My vegetarian colleagues had a hard time finding something to eat, as the menu is extremely meat-heavy. This isn't unusual for a Bavarian restaurant, of course, but they could have at least made the effort to include a vegetarian section on the menu, even if it only featured very few dishes. The lunch menu is only valid until 1:30 PM, and there's only one lunch dish per weekday, usually not vegetarian-friendly. Overall, I can't recommend this restaurant. There are plenty of alternatives nearby, and I wish we'd chosen one of them!

Bavarian delicious, simply great

Very good traditional food, the meat was tender and well-seasoned, and the Käsespetzle (cheese dumplings) were fresh and homemade. The food didn't take long to arrive. All requests were taken into account and fulfilled. A great location, rustic and stylish, absolutely worth a visit if you're in Regensburg or the surrounding area.

From Germans to the world: The ambiance is pleasant; you can either sit in a glass-roofed "side alley" or in a rustic Bavarian-style setting. The waitress was probably having a bad day, as customer service isn't a priority there, at least not for Bavarian guests. And the food is also ordinary and simple, with little Bavarian flair. The food was good, but nothing special. We sat in the alleyway because some of the rooms were full. Due to the large number of customers, the waitresses were a bit stressed and not always very friendly. But the price/performance ratio was okay.

Whenever we go to the theater in Regensburg, a visit to Kneitinger is a must before or after. It's a traditional inn. Rustically furnished. The service is hearty and friendly, Bavarian. The beer is delicious, and the food is tasty. One of the few places that still serves spleen sausage or sour lüngerl (a kind of sausage with a sauerkraut). Or sometimes other offal. The prices are reasonable. We feel at home.

Great brewery with delicious food, but service could be improved. The Kneitinger is a beautiful, traditional brewery with an authentic atmosphere. The food was consistently delicious and the prices were reasonable. A particularly positive aspect: Even with a larger group, we managed to get a table spontaneously without any problems – that's certainly not a given. Unfortunately, the service was less convincing. Our waitress, Aurora, was noticeably unfriendly and seemed uninterested. The rest of the team barely said a friendly word either – overall, we felt more like a nuisance than a welcome. It's a real shame, because the food and ambiance are top-notch. With a little more cordiality in the service, the Kneitinger would be a real favorite for future visits.

Cult restaurant in Regensburg, very good food, excellent beer

On Saturday evening (VfB Stuttgart's cup match against Arminia), we had reserved a table at the quaint Kneitinger brewery restaurant. Everything worked out perfectly: a table with the best view of the TV, friendly service, and delicious food. Those who prefer a more sophisticated and perhaps quieter atmosphere should probably look elsewhere; for us, it was the perfect location that evening.

I remember this restaurant from earlier. The food is still good, but my only criticism is that it comes very quickly. That is, everything is prepared a long time ago and served immediately.

Robert and all the service staff at Kneitinger are top-notch! I personally love the place! And the beer (Edelpils) is the best in the entire city.

Three of us came here for lunch on a Sunday and got a table without a reservation. I had the meatloaf with mashed potatoes and creamed savoy cabbage, everything well seasoned and very tasty! Thanks to the waitress who looked after us so well.

My husband's meal was average, and mine was very disappointing. The roast pork was flavourless and the skin, instead of being crispy, looked like a piece of plastic. The owner, through the waiter, apologised and offered us dessert on the house. However, it is worth mentioning the magnificent work of the waiter Robert, a highly qualified, polite, and friendly employee. It was the highlight of the evening.

About the Viennese style schnitzel: There was a hint of schnitzel meat between the breading. My friends' other dishes fared slightly better.

We asked for gluten-free, they had nothing but salads, but they were kind and the food was excellent so we had a satisfying lunch. Characteristic and quiet place.

Service and beer great! Eating a bit bland. No side salad. Tastes good but not pleasing to the eye.

What's worse than bad service? None at all. We just managed to order two Helles, but that was it. The restaurant was about 40% full, but that was probably enough to distract the "waitress" so much that she kept looking at us, only to then immediately ignore us again. After 20 minutes of active disregard, we went to a Spaniard around the corner and had a very good meal there in a friendly atmosphere.

Very good inn with a brewery in the middle of Regensburg city center. Very good location - parking garage or bus stop right next to it. Various seating areas/halls - also a kind of small indoor beer garden with wooden benches and tables. Depending on the seating area Many tables in the afternoon have reserved signs. 2 individual guests were supposed to sit at assigned tables - even though everything was free at the time - and the men only wanted to drink a beer. Maybe you should be a little more empathetic here - for example, ask whether the space is needed longer or when the tables are actually reserved or it was simply dependent on service. We were also advised to put our stroller somewhere else if necessary. Good to know: -Well attended- Reservations are definitely required at peak times. -THE BEST: consistently warm cuisine and excellent food. A very, very good selection of different dishes. There are also vegetarian good things. - Easily accessible (near the parking garage, bus stop) - Price corresponds to the usual pub prices in the city - Definitely recommended! - We'll be back!

Bavarian tavern at it's best - cozy, stable, reliable - almost every day of the year, reliable until late. Consistently very good food selection over the years; Quick cuisine, quick (sometimes brisk) service. Very good dark beer from our own brewery! Even if it's full, there's usually still somewhere in the Kneiti where you can sit down - in the bar aisle or in one of the two beautiful rooms. A favorite place in beautiful Regensburg.

We can definitely recommend the Kneitinger restaurant. A really nice, rustic brewery inn with a nice ambience and very, very tasty food. Michelle, our waiter, also fits the atmosphere, she was extremely attentive and super nice. We'll be back next time we visit Regensburg!

After Bernd Zehner's video, I really wanted to try the restaurant out for myself. We came from Bayreuth in a group of five on a Saturday and had a great place even without a reservation. The service was friendly and knew what they were selling. The dark beer was a dream. Definitely try it! The acidic lung is also highly recommended. A classic that tastes much better than it sounds. Prices are reasonable for the quality. Ambiance is nice. You can either sit on beer benches under a glass roof or in small, cozy rooms. Clear recommendations for your next trip to Regensburg.

Great tradition, fine beers, volatile cuisine Because this time I had chosen a hotel in the immediate vicinity of Arnulfplatz, it seemed obvious to me to satisfy my hunger primarily in the “Kneitinger”. So I had my dinner there on Friday and my lunch the following Sunday. After my first visit it would have been enough for full points. The “Sunday roast” led to devaluation. In the “Kneitinger”, a gastronomic institution with almost 500 years of history, many things are still the same as they have always been, although some things have had to give way to the spirit of the times. I remember that around 25 years ago, roast veal kidney had a permanent place on the menu and has now completely disappeared. But there are a few other traditional Bavarian specialties that are hardly available anywhere else. Overall, the always up-to-date menus, which are also available online, offer a large selection of typical local dishes at fair prices. In addition to the tasty beers, this is certainly one reason why the “Kneitinger” is always well attended by regular guests, locals and even strangers. A reservation is recommended from Friday evening to Sunday lunchtime, but is usually only accepted for groups of three or more people. One or two guests can always find a place at the large tables, because fortunately it is still common here to sit together with strangers. The waitresses are all completely on their toes and show the necessary friendliness. Of course, the waitresses also have to give themselves a wengerl as Bissgurn (probably from bissig and gurre = Old High German for mare; often incorrectly referred to as Bissgurke) in order to convey to the guests the typical bitter charm of Bavarian tavern culture. When it came to beers, I chose the Hellen Hans, which is only celebrating its fifth anniversary in July this year. He has nothing to do with the blonde Hans (Albers) and was launched in honor of the 120th birthday of Johann Kneitinger III. A very pleasant and uncomplicated light. On Friday evening I enjoyed the liver dumpling soup as a starter and everything was perfect. The strong bouillon lacked nothing and the dumpling was light, airy and perfectly seasoned. For the main course I enjoyed a tender roasted pork heart, which was flawlessly prepared and seasoned. The fried potatoes were also prepared with caraway in an exemplary manner, although they were cut and browned too unevenly for me. I also missed onions and bacon, but that's a matter of taste. On Sunday lunchtime I was looking forward to a surhaxerl with additional surfleisch and was bitterly disappointed. The meat, including the small piece with bacon and rind, was so dry and hard that it was only possible to eat it with the creamy mashed potatoes and the somewhat juicy sauerkraut as a lubricant and lubricant. The grated horseradish was completely smoky and had lost all spiciness. Even if my old Bavarian compatriots, especially the people of Upper Palatinate, will stone me for this remark, I have to say that a good Surhaxerl in the Free State of Bavaria is only available as a small Knöchle in Middle Franconia. Despite this disappointment, I will always return to the “Kneitinger” - after all, it belongs to Regensburg, and I was often more than satisfied there.
