Great restaurant wheat 🍺 and several similar styles of good beer, which you can drink next to the brewery's vats. The food is very good, the portions are generous. 4 stars ⭐️ for the prices, which are higher than elsewhere. The service is good – the waiters wear Bavarian uniforms and are served quickly :)

Relatively expensive food (cheese spaetzle for 18 euros 😳, which tasted average at best), the beer smelled and tasted musty like an old cellar, and the atmosphere in the back of the small room, where you're immediately seated if there's a couple of you, is uncomfortable. I've known this place for over 15 years, and it used to be much better. I wouldn't go back now - unfortunately.

It is a nice option downtown Regensburg for traditional Bavarian food. The atmosphere is great, inside the restaurant there’s some nice and shiny brewing tanks and the decoration is typical Bavarian. The pork knuckle (Schweinshaxe) is pretty good, but this time was slightly overdone on the outside which gave a bitter flavour to it therefore the 4* rating, but the skin was nice and crispy so it was still enjoyable. Try also the Weißbier sampler if you wanna taste all the varieties they offer without getting too drunk.

The best roast pork in a long time! The sauce was perfect, the meat wasn't marbled, and the dumplings were also excellent. The service was friendly, and everything was quick. One minor criticism: the beef soup for €8 is a bit small, but otherwise, a lovely restaurant!

Now this is German food! The restaurant is super cool too! The beer is amazing and the wait staff is super nice. I would highly recommend.

The food, a sausage platter and Regensburger schnitzel, arrived after just 5 minutes, which already made us suspicious. It tasted just as good...the schnitzel was tough and the breading tasted like a soft roll. The sausages and meatloaf tasted of old oil. The seating was quite comfortable and the service was very friendly, but that didn't make the poor food any better.

The service staff were generally quick and attentive. Nothing to complain about. Unfortunately, the cheese spaetzle were, you could say, mediocre! Cream has no place in authentic Bavarian spaetzle. It tasted flat and rather boring. Furthermore, the fried onions were rubbery. Probably too long in the convection oven, improper storage, too much humidity, etc. The side salad, also rather mediocre and lacking a tasty dressing, was returned as is. Anyway, I've often had much better food. A shame for such a highly touted traditional restaurant...

Update: Everything was good this time 👍 ---- Food and drinks were excellent. Unfortunately, the service was a bit inattentive when we were there. Hopefully, it'll be better next time.

We found the restaurant while we were looking for another resturant which is on the top list of the place to eat in Regensburg at TripAdvisor. While we were passing by, I noticed two guys drinking beer. The beer looked great and I asked my wife to stop and drink beer before we go to the restaurant we were looking for. We ordered our beer and booooommmm. The best beer I have ever drunk in my life. Then I asked the waiter whether they served food or not. He said yes. We ordered schnitzel. I am not exaggrating, one of the best I have ever eaten. And the potato (french) fries, awesome. We had two liters of beer, two schnitzel and we paid 63 Euro including the service. I definitely reccommend this restaurant. You won't regret.

I was served the wrong meal. When I asked about it the service states you ordered that. I know what I ordered. I even pointed at it. To avoid communication problems. Then he states, we don’t even have that right now. Crappy attitude. Their original regensburg sausage take like polish. If I wanted the original reg Marburg sausage, I would have ordered it down the street from the restaurant who has been making it for generations

We were here on a Monday evening and were very satisfied. The schnitzel with potatoes was delicious, the portion was perfect, and the food arrived extremely quickly. Sitting outside was pleasant, and the service was friendly—even if communication was a bit difficult. The only downside: the drinks weren't very carbonated. Overall, highly recommended!

We went there because of the great reviews for the food. Unfortunately, we can't really confirm this. We had the "grilled" original Regensburg bratwurst. These were two small, sliced sausages floating on a film of fat, which unfortunately suggests that the sausages weren't grilled, but perhaps fried in fat in a pan. The potato salad unfortunately tasted very much like a convenience product from a plastic bucket. The relatively small portion for €16.90 wasn't good value for money in our opinion. The service was quick and attentive.

Came by for a family dinner and sat outside right on the edge. Very hectic and noisy. Not the most ideal spot with a small kid. Friendly waiter. Prices fairly high, price for a cordon blue at 21,90€ not quite justified. Food overall tasted alright but, again, didn’t justify the price. (Also got misled by previous google reviews in regards to the menu and prices - but that’s not the restaurant’s fault). Menu in German AND English

Good food, worth it to try a typical dish. The service was okay, not very friendly. The atmosphere was nice, but the acoustics made it difficult to have a conversation.

Best Weißwurst breakfast! The wheat beer tastes very good (worth the trip for that alone), the Weißwurst is very large and very tasty. I was initially shocked by the amount, but since the taste and quality were just right, I managed to finish it all. The pretzel was also fresh. The ambiance is reminiscent of a brewery, rather rustic, which naturally fits the concept. The service was also impeccable, friendly, and fast. I felt completely at home and would gladly come back.

Went here mostly for the beer, and had a good time. I had their beer taster plank, and it was nice. Also had a duck-burger that was tasty

I've been returning here for many years, because your wheat beer is a gift for the senses. Full-bodied, sumptuous, and with a warmth that embraces the heart—on the finish, it reveals that sweet banana note that binds us together as friends and fills us with quiet happiness. I am deeply grateful for this drink, which is not just drunk, but experienced.

Great service! I had the XXL giant schnitzel, and it was very large, super crispy, and simply fabulous. Highly recommended!

If you are in Regensburg and want to get perfect, authentic, delicious Bavarian food with great and friendly service, this is absolutely the place to go to. Portions are large, but the food is so good, that the size of the portion only means you get to eat more of the great food this place serves. 10/10 would recommend.

We give it 5 stars in all areas. Anyone expecting freshly cut fries, as one review suggested, should wake up. My XXL schnitzel with homemade potato and cucumber salad was fantastic, as were the other dishes. The service was excellent and always cheerful and relaxed.

We received a coffee voucher on a city tour. We've never had such bad coffee. It tasted like it had been brewed in the morning and reheated in the microwave several times. Neither milk nor sugar helped. We can't recommend it.

We went there for a Bavarian dining experience, but were also looking to find some gluten free food. While they were showing vegetarian and vegan options, they didn’t indicate which dishes were gluten free. They handed me an Excel spreadsheet were all allergens were listed, but it was unclear how this corresponded to their menu. It would have taken forever to find out which dishes I could eat. The waiter had no clue and was not helpful. So we left. The restaurant was nearly empty at 6:30 pm.

They're doing something wrong. The interior is quaint but in need of some renovation. The discreet service required some encouragement before you could see the menu or order (1 star deduction). The food was delicious, but I'm not sure why the pork fillet medallions are marbled with fat and/or skin, unless they're other cuts of meat, which would also explain the size (1 star deduction). The prices on the table signs for "Kupferweißbier-Spitz 0.3l" and "Eiskaffee" are sometimes €1 lower than on the menu, and when asked about them on the bill, there's no concession or goodwill (1 star deduction). I'll never know what the beer tastes like, because the lager I ordered never arrived. At 30 degrees Celsius, a restaurateur doesn't notice that you have nothing to drink at your table. Bavaria without beer, that's what you get here. (1 star deduction)

Beer was really great! It seems a bit more of a local hangout. I didn't try any food, but everything looked wonderful.

We spontaneously decided on the Regensburger Weissbräuhaus. The selection of dishes is typical of a brewery. From schnitzel and cordon bleu to knuckle of pork, they offer everything. Prices are high. Unfortunately, the cordon bleu and schnitzel weren't entirely convincing in terms of taste. The cordon bleu cost €21.90 without a side salad. The value for money could be improved.

I was only here for drinks. The home-brewed Kupfer wheat beer is really good!

Op doorreis deze plek bewust gekozen om even een typisch streek gevoel te ervaren. Het restaurant maakt dat waar qua interieur en gezellige sfeer. Snelle en correcte bediening. Ik koos voor het meest lokaal klinkende gerecht; een Regenburger schnitzel. Maar dat viel tegen. De twee fantasieloze dunne lapjes vlees met een mandje frites bleken een foute keuze. Geen groente, geen opsmuk en weinig smaak. Ook koos ik voor een glas wijn bij de maaltijd. Misschien lag het daar aan en was dat vloeken in de kerk c. q. in deze bierkathedraal.

Unfortunately I can't give stars to the food. For 20€ schnitzel breaded without a bit of love placed on the plate with greasy fries 🍟 out of the bag also made in the fryer, unfortunately no!! As an added bonus, there are no bottled sauces. Why was it even more edible a year ago?! With this bad change you won't come back!!

Specializing in traditional Bavarian food, the Weissbrauhaus brewery restaurant in the heart of Regensburg has a rustic feel with very friendly and welcoming waiters and a high rating. Here you can try Regensburg sausages and schnitzel. Sausages are served toasted and cut in half lengthwise with sweet or spicy mustard, pickled cucumber slices, stewed sauerkraut and cold potato salad. A portion of sausages with cabbage and potatoes will cost you 18.40 € here. Schnitzel with potatoes -19.40 €. Well, Bavarian white non-alcoholic wheat beer is the standard of German brewing, it is amazing, soft taste, no bitterness, like Czech beer. A glass of 0.5 liters of white beer costs €5.10 here. We really liked the service and atmosphere. Definitely recommend a visit.

I'm sorry... we had a wheat beer tasting and food à la carte but unfortunately the Bavarian food wasn't good. Compared to other breweries in Regensburg, the food was really no comparison at all. There were 10 of us but it was unfortunately disappointing and too expensive. The wheat beer was ok. But service was very good!

German food with good price and service

I came in and felt really comfortable. In winter it will probably stay warm there thanks to the vestibule. 👍🏻 I absolutely loved the rustic atmosphere and the pleasantly warm Bavarian ambience. My companion and I enjoyed the more than tasty roasted onion roast on point with homemade fried onion rings and a good sauce, the perfect fries (fried on point). On every table there are small boxes with plenty of sauces (ketchup, mayo, mustard, etc. Endless). 👍🏻 Bavarian cream on raspberry topping was world class. Above all, the combination is different and good! The portions were plentiful. Together with the quality, a top price-performance ratio!

I can't really recommend the Regensburger Weissbräuhaus. The service was OK, although the attention could be improved. I had duck, for which the menu said you should be prepared to wait 30-40 minutes. After 5 minutes the lukewarm dish arrived, red cabbage and dumplings as a side dish were average, I say I can do both better. The sauce, however, was completely over salted. Overall, an experience that doesn't warrant a second visit given the alternatives in the city. The beer is great, though.

The ambiance is typical of a Bavarian brewery, with a certain flair. Some of the service was really friendly, some rather apathetic. But at least it was quick, even in the evening when it was relatively busy. There are four house beers, almost all of which suited my taste. Although the combination/idea for the sausage platter is rather simple, the combination worked really well; I was very satisfied with the taste.

Great food and great service. You will pay a little more for the food than elsewhere, but it is worth it. The atmosphere is really nice and you feel very good in the restaurant. So it's not just about the food, which I appreciate all the more. The only thing I would slightly complain about is the reduction of the portion of the schnitzel. Before, it used to be over a giant plate, where there were still brutally many fries under it. Now I was a bit disappointed as it was a bit smaller. Otherwise it was very good and I have nothing to complain about

Went with a group to eat and ordered a fried fish set. Dessert was apple pie, which is in line with Asian tastes. The most important thing is that the store staff are very nice 👍

Das helle Bier zum Mittag war sehr lecker ! Wir hatten als kleine Mahlzeit das Rinder-Carppacio dazu ! Ich finde das Highlight ist die zwei Liter Bierkaraffe zum mitnehmen. Die Karaffe kostet 14 Euro , die zwei Liter Füllung ( aus der eigenen Brauerei ) 7 Euro

Leider gar nicht gut.! Wo ist die Qualität geblieben?? Sehr enttäuschend, wenn der Schweinebraten ein undefinierbares Stück Fleisch und nicht genießbar ist. Am Rand des Tellers schwamm ein Ölfilm… so sieht keine gute Soße aus. Auch Spätzle waren nur kleine Mehlklumpen.. Sie schmeckten so. Der Jägerbraten… geschmacklich nicht essbar. Zwei Traditionsgerichte.. völlig daneben. Schade!

We were at the inn on Saturday evening, we had booked the table in advance (which I would also recommend). The food was very tasty and the service actually deserves a higher rating. The waiter who was responsible for our table was a friendly person and was all in on the fun.

In a Western-style restaurant, the fish fillet has a moderate taste and is not overly salty or oily like other European-style meals. It is suitable for Asian people's habits.

Typical Bavarian food... ok, but not a unique selling point... Service staff was super nice, fast and courteous. Table was sticky and a basic cleaning is recommended. Quite loud because it was busy...classic pub atmosphere.

Nach vielen Jahren war wir wieder mal in Weißbräustuberl und was soll ich sagen … es war echt ein wenig enttäuschend. Für die Preise pro Gericht hätten wir echt mehr erwartet. Sehr gut war das Carpaccio, die Rinderbrühe und das Weißbier . Die Kürbissuppe war leider total versalzen und das Knödel-Carpaccio war auch eine Enttäuschung. Ewig schade für das sehr schöne Ambiente. Da ist echt Luft nach oben vorhanden ….. so wie es früher mal war.

The home-brewed wheat beer is excellent (the copper wheat has a wonderful caramel flavor), and the cuisine follows the Bavarian tradition with delicious meat dishes; However, it is also possible to order vegetarian dishes or seasonal dishes such as white asparagus. A great option for fine dining in the heart of the old town.

Wir haben hier ausgezeichnet typisch bayerische Gerichte gegessen. Haxe, Ente, Kaut und Knödel alles super lecker. Die Wirtsstube ist klein, dadurch ein bisschen eng, aber schön und gemütlich eingerichtet.

Nice restaurant in downtown Regensburg with classic Bavarian decor. Large portions and quick preparation, but a bit more expensive. The home-brewed beer (also available to take away) deserves special mention. It's always worth a visit!

We had our Christmas party there on December 14th. The area that was reserved for us was not free when we arrived and some of the tables were still occupied by guests. Some of our colleagues were allowed to stand until they were asked to pay. You can completely understand that it's stressful before Christmas, but with so many people making reservations that some had to stand, that's not okay. The food was mostly okay. Meat a bit tough but otherwise OK. Unfortunately, the toilets were very dirty and the toilet paper ran out in the middle of it, but after being informed nothing was refilled. We are not sensitive or complaining guests but unfortunately the visit was not satisfactory. You can't fault the service - the staff were always friendly.

We booked a table for 6pm earlier in the day. The place was pretty full for a weekday night and the atmosphere was very welcoming. Good advice on the dishes and the drinks and very pleasant service. The food was delicious. Would definitely go back.

Everything was great here, very attentive, nice and super friendly :)) The atmosphere is also really nice, really Bavarian, with different seats :)) The food was vegetarian, ok, nothing special. Cheese spaetzle was a bit dry and the two potato dumplings with mushroom cream... here the dumplings were delicious and fresh but the mushroom cream was watery and didn't really taste like anything..:(((

The brewery as you imagine it. The light beer was very tasty. The sausage plate and the mushrooms with dumplings are also recommended.

We went to the Bräuhaus for lunch yesterday and were very satisfied with the roast duck and pork knuckles, the duck was super juicy and the delicately seasoned red cabbage. The knuckle is crispy and really hearty. Price performance completely okay. The next time we visit Regensburg we will immediately go back to the brewery and enjoy delicious beer. Fantastic shank... sorry beer 10 and praise... Advised... For the shank there is a wait of 30/40 minutes, we booked it and took a tour around the town... arrived at the restaurant at the agreed time and the shank was ready... SUPER.

Unfortunately a lot of complaints. The only redeemable things about Regensburger are the warm, well decorated interior, but that's where it ends. As well, the wait staff was patient with us (we are not native German speakers). There is no physical English menu, and you are unable to get any kind of connection indoors to see their online english menu, with no wifi network to connect too. The food is incredibly overpriced, near 20 euro for frozen schnitzel and very chewy, obviously frozen pork chops (the pork steak) . Five euro for a single 16oz glass of coke, another 5 euro for a single bottle of water. I understand its near the high-traffic tourism area of the city, but there are so many similar options for significantly better prices.
