The ambience impresses with timeless design and a pleasant atmosphere - the perfect place for an enjoyable lunch. The lunch menu offered a varied selection of creative dishes, all prepared to perfection. The amuse gueule was a poem, the pâté was outstanding, the lamb was tender and aromatic and the monkfish was perfectly prepared. Every dish impressed with excellent ingredients and a harmony of taste that is second to none. The service was attentive and professional without being intrusive. A perfect place for an upscale lunch - I'll happily come back!

My wife’s and my feelings were mixed. The food is amazingly artistic, inventive and memorable; the service impeccable. But the cost was both exorbitant and deceptive. One first is attracted by a Michelin 2 Star rating. But then the menu is hard to find online. One is told they will be charged 300 euros if they don’t show for their reservation. Once there, one is trapped. There is no choice. It’s a prix fixe menu with the LOW option being about 700 euros. We loved the performance and the quality, but felt conned.

A visit to Tantris is a fantastic overall experience. The restaurant exudes a wonderful charm as soon as you enter. The service proves to be well trained, flexible, clever, unobtrusive, but attentive at all times. The sommelier's drink recommendations were tailored to your personal taste and very consistent. There was also great agreement at our table when assessing the menu: wonderful interplay of modern and classic elements and different textures; always innovative and surprising aromatic accents. The individual components are always crafted and more than convincing in their creativity. What's exciting is that the individual courses always appeal to both the heart and the mind. In addition, everything from Maxime Rebmann's patisserie must be praised unreservedly: simply great. Benjamin can without a doubt be said to have his own handwriting that is second to none. And in the great atmosphere with the wonderful team, this signature comes into its own.

We don't know where to start... General conditions: 4 adults and 1 child (9 years) Menu meal (8 courses) in the 2 star range The greeting from the kitchen was okay. Nothing special. The first course was an absolute disaster. Matjes in Klibber?! Here it was said that hunger drives it in and greed keeps it in. But that should probably be a lesson to us. We assume that the fish was no longer the best. There is no other way to explain why everyone had stomach and intestinal problems that night. One person even thought about the whole meal again. The next morning everyone was still completely bloated. Course 2 was actually the best. We then assumed that things would go uphill from here. Unfortunately that wasn't the case. The Yellow Tuna from aisle 5 was totally sinewy and only edible with pure will. The lobster course and the one with red mullet were bland. The stuffed zucchini flower alone was the highlight here. The staff tried hard. But no attention was paid to the little things. For the Example that you would like a little more wine. Normally the wine accompaniment came a long time before the food was served and the amount of wine poured also varied greatly. The meat course was edible. But the goose liver was too much of a good thing here. There had already been a course with just goose liver. The two desserts were also okay. But you could also have expected that in a “normal” restaurant. In the end, time was running out. The restaurant closes at 0:00. We noticed this because the breaks between courses became shorter and shorter towards the end. Since the people from the restaurant would like to finish work on time, we had the choice between paying and leaving or drinking a quick espresso at the bar, which was open a little later, and having the usual chocolates. Partly standing. It's a bar. Unfortunately we have we chose the wrong thing again. How hard can it be to make some delicious chocolates? Everyone knows that tastes differ. But in this case it has 4 out of 4 people at our table and 2 out of 2 at The neighboring table didn't taste good. (We end up talking) We are happy to pay for good and unusual food. But that evening the price-performance ratio was not OK. In addition, as already mentioned, we had extreme stomach and intestinal problems after eating. Since no one said goodbye to the service, we assume that our bad mood was noticed.

Once again we were able to spend wonderful hours in this legendary temple of pleasure. This time for lunch - which verbally and visually - is certainly an understatement. The house is described in many different ways and is always an enchanting experience when the mythical creatures greet you at the entrance. As requested, the same was found on our table in the form of delicious chocolate. The service was again, as usual, friendly, nonchalant and calm, warm and competent. The two menus, vegetarian and regular, were all delicious and of a very high standard in terms of taste and presentation. The appointment for the follow-up visit is in progress and we are already looking forward to seeing you again today. Many thanks to the entire wonderful team.

Es war lange überfällig mal im Tantris Maison Culinaire, der Keimzelle der kulinrischen Hochkultur in München und Umgebung, zum Abendessen vorbeizuschauen. Schade war nur, daß wir am falschen Tag dort erschienen sind, unsere Reservierung galt für den kommenden Tag, unser Fehler. Das wir dennoch an dem Abend einen schönen Tisch bekamen, rechnen wir dem netten Herren am Empfang und dem Tantris sehr hoch an. Wir entschieden uns alle Gänge mit Weinbegleitung zu genießen. Bevor jedoch das kulinarische Erlebnis begann, bekam meine Frau vom aufmerksamen und sehr sympathischen Service eine Tafel hausgemachte Schokolade, unter einer Glasglocke präsentiert, geschenkt. Wir hatten am Empfang erwähnt, daß sie kürzlich Geburtstag hatte. Nach einem Gläschen Champagner ging die Reise los. Die Gänge wurden angenehm getacktet serviert, immer eingeleitet mit einer kurzen Erklärung des begleitenden Weines. Das die Präsentation und der Geschmack der Küchenkunstwerke phantastisch war, braucht man bei zwei Sternen nicht extra erwähnen. Als wir die Menüfolge beendt hatten, konnten wir noch nicht ahnen, daß noch ein Highlight auf uns wartete, den als wir uns schon verabschieden wollten, wurden wir gefragt, ob wir nicht mal in die Küche schauen wollen. Dort konnten wir ein wenig mit Benjamin Chmura plaudern und haben uns sehr gerne persönlich bei dem tollen Küchenteam für den aussergewöhnlichen Abend bedankt. Wir werden auf jeden Fall gerne wiederkommen, der Abend war uns eine große Freude. Danke an das gesamte Tantris Team !

Wir kannten das Tantris ja schon früheren Besuchen, und es war immer schon ausgezeichnet. Aber dieses mal war es noch einmal eine für nicht möglich gehaltene Steigerung! Das Essen war ein Traum, die vielfältigen und raffinierten Amuse-Gueules einmalig! Auch die Weinfolge hat super dazu gepasst, vor allem der zur Nachspeise empfohlene Wein war etwas ganz besonderes, weil nicht alltäglich. Das Service war sehr aufmerksam, nicht "aufgespreizt", von einer natürlichen Freundlichkeit einfach, bravo! Alles in allem ein sehr gelungener Besuch, von dem alle noch lange schwärmen werden!!!

Nice ambience, very friendly service, not over-the-top, pleasantly unobtrusive, exquisite products. The amuse bouche were enjoyment, incredibly creative, delicious works of art. For us they were the highlight. The homemade bread is so delicious, as is the starter. The different sauces, lobster sabayon etc. show the culinary art. The main courses of lamb (too raw for us) and brill (or was that monkfish?) were a bit lacking, as was the bland rhubarb dessert.

I've never experienced anything like that. Even after three hours of Tantris, I'm still amazed! Tasting menu with wine accompaniment. Short&Succinct; It doesn't get any better! What a beautiful experience! We were lucky enough to be able to try the Menu Jeune. The menu was well coordinated and the wine accompaniment rounded off the dishes perfectly. After dinner we had a drink in the bar. I highly recommend this too, the cocktails are exceptional and dangerously tasty. A great overall experience, more than just fine dining. Starting with the great ambience, which has been carefully modernized, fortunately without neglecting the charm and history of the past. The building and architecture alone are worth a visit. In addition, an outstanding service from the beginning to the farewell, even a private shuttle to the hotel was offered. Top menu compositions and world-class wine advice (even if we still miss Justin here). Simply a successful complete work at very reasonable prices. Be sure to try out the Tantris DNA, here, in contrast to the "main restaurant", you can find the classics of Tantris history and you can once again wallow in the past and remember beautiful, past evenings with the dishes from back then. The level of perfection that I experienced at Tantris was so much more than anything I ever expected. The food alone was nothing short of spectacular, but the attention to detail from the time I walked through the door to the time I walked out to leave was something that I had never experienced at any other restaurant. I now understand what it takes to obtain not just 1 Michelan star, but 2, and what it takes to make it on to the Top 100 restaurants in the world, which they have done more than once. I can't fully even explain how absolutely mind-blowing my experience was because Tantris is something that you have to experience for yourself. What I can tell you is that I will never go back to Munich without making a reservation here first. To the staff, thank you so much for making my dinner something that was so much more than what my expectations could have ever been.

We were pampered here from start to finish. The service was incomparably good and the food was second to none. I would have loved to lick every plate. Although the chef is currently in Las Vegas, we were served food of the highest standard. At the end of the evening, Junior Sous Chef Felix gave us a tour of the kitchen before we went to the excellent bar for a nightcap. I really don't know what could have made the evening even more perfect and I leave Tantris full, endlessly happy and full of unforgettable memories. It will be hard to ever top this evening. A well executed dinner at Tantris. Nothing stood out, but nothing in particular went wrong either. The impression we had was of a forward looking, international concept which - depending on your inclination - wasn't the case. Tantris is very much a traditional German kitchen with French influences. Unfortunately, there was some miscommunication with the sommelier that didn't deliver the wine experience we had hoped. A request for a different, non-traditional expression of a German style left us instead with a simple, boring Riesling. We might have enjoyed it on another occasion. Regardless, the evening went by elegantly, underscored by the attention to service, the architecture, and design of the restaurant.

One of the classic places in Munich. Very tasty food, especially the main dishes. The starters were less impressive, in my opinion. Still, a very enjoyable experience. I liked the scallop a lot, the asparagus was a pleasant surprise. The pigeon worked perfectly. The place is really nice, although it can't compete with the views from EssZimmer. They do have a lot of waiters, so the service is quick and reactive. From the people eating there, it had a pretty formal vibe, most men wore jackets. Seems like it's beloved by the traditional Munich crowd. They have an enormous wine menu, as well as an excellent bar if you want to enjoy a long drink after your meal. I would say that talking strictly about the food, it's comparable to some of 1 star restaurants in Munich. The second star seems more related to the wine selection and the ambience. So keep that in mind when you're deciding if it's worth for you.

If you are interested in culinary delights, you will stumble upon the name Tantris. My expectations were correspondingly high, even though it was my first personal experience in a 2-star Michelin restaurant. I was definitely not disappointed. The atmosphere at lunch was calm and pleasant. The decor was elegant, albeit classic. The service staff were always attentive, friendly and courteous without being intrusive. Especially if you have not eaten in a high-end fine dining restaurant before, the thought of feeling like a stranger in the restaurant could keep you away. However, I found it inviting and welcoming at all times. The food was a real experience. Visually, the plates were almost too beautiful to eat. The small snacks at the beginning alone were simply exciting. All the elements were well coordinated and made sense, although you have to expect that there are also corners and edges. New and innovative ideas are the reason I go out to eat and I am delighted to have been given the opportunity to taste the menu today. Keep up the good work! Thank you very much!

What an experience. Tantris is a total work of art. The (interior) architecture alone warmed our connoisseur's hearts. With its 70s style, the Tantris is iconic. The service was great. Incredibly attentive, friendly and clever. Not to mention the menu (lunch menu). Every course is an inspiration. Finely differentiated flavors combined with diverse, stimulating consistencies. Everything is also a visual feast. That was the first, but certainly not the last time.

A wonderful evening in an almost magical atmosphere in a gourmet temple with a special history for 5 decades! We were able to enjoy compositions that were fantastic in terms of taste and appearance, surrounded by highly professional service that was coordinated down to the smallest detail. Added to this is the architectural room concept with exceptional lighting and color composition. We will remember this evening for a very long time...it is a pleasure to experience how the best basic products are processed so appreciatively and how natural flavors are highlighted even more clearly through the preparation. Unfortunately, this outdated restaurant still sells foie gras!! On top of that, it is simply referred to as duck liver, since the layman only associates foie gras with geese. absolute impudence! A great experience. The food and wine selection were delicious, the staff was wonderful and the ambience was sophisticated and cozy at the same time. We were particularly pleased that the kitchen can adapt the menu to people with celiac disease and prepare it completely gluten-free. The gluten-free bread is even homemade, resembles a warm brioche, a dream. We really enjoyed the evening at Tantris.

“Life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you're going to get” (Forrest Gump) - In fact, I had to think of this quote today when I treated myself to two Tantris chocolate bars from the current 'pop-up area' in the LODENFREY department store and opened the sad, black packaging at home: In contrast to the professionally shiny, live exhibits under glass, the surface here has a very, very matt appearance, which at least in the case of the salted caramel bar (€8.50/50g) they tried to save it with some kind of glitter dust. Unfortunately, the version advertised as a Valentine's table with green tea and obviously candied roses (whose exact ingredients are missing - €9.50/50g) wasn't so lucky during production. The curiously curved shape also seems strange to me - was that intentional? Probably not, because when we weigh it (as a housewife, I have a knack for this) it turns out that each bar only weighs 41g instead of the stated 50g! Well - there is always a little loss and the famous “Angels’ share” is perhaps not only common in Tantris with whiskey or wine. However, things are different here, because the deviation in the average net filling quantity is now an impressive 18% and is no longer legally permissible. This realization now clouds my previous positive feeling, with which I had always enjoyed being a guest at Tantris - didn't they inquire carefully in advance? Is the same weight of different varieties just a coincidence? Do we have to make a lot of money as quickly as possible at the expense of the customers? The saying of a lady who was present during the purchase coincidentally fits in with this: “…the price of chocolate must also match the other items in the house.” What is left to say? Admittedly, the bars are thinly cast (good machine tempering), but in terms of taste they are not my first choice (good cocoa from Peru, filling so-so) - it definitely helps to use at least 9 g more of everything, then the curved one would be better The shape and the unsightly opening of the board will definitely take care of themselves (Michael Dillinger in Landsberg or Berger from Austria have been able to do this for years...). As a product from the TANTRIS MAISON CULINAIRE, the brand transfer in table form would have lived up to the company's own claim of 'craftsmanship and great culinary art'.

My wife and I had the pleasure of dining at Tantris over the weekend and it was an unforgettable evening. From the moment we walked in the door we were greeted by the elegant atmosphere and attentive service. I chose the 8 course menu while my wife chose the vegetarian menu. My menu was a symphony of flavors and textures, with each dish artfully presented and prepared with attention to detail. The following highlights are particularly noteworthy: Scallop with caviar and lime: A delicious combination of salty, creamy and sour. Lobster with Fennel and Pastis: The lobster was cooked perfectly and the fennel gave the dish a fresh touch. Venison fillet with red cabbage and cranberries: A classic dish interpreted at the highest level. In addition to the excellent food, we were also impressed by the service at Tantris. The staff were friendly, attentive and always concerned about our well-being. Conclusion: Exquisite cuisine with creative and refined dishes Excellent service with friendly and attentive staff Elegant ambience with modern design An unforgettable culinary experience

A very disappointing dining experience. Setting was eclectic and cosy, but it got too warm and stuffy as the night dragged on. We stepped out for air several times. Service was extremely attentive, slightly overbearing for our preference. The sommelier was competent and recommended an excellent reisling which was the silver lining of the night. The food was simply not good. The natural flavor of the main ingredient in most of the dishes did not shine. Each dish came with odd accompaniments that did little to elevate the star of the dish. Most of the sauces were too salty and overpowering. There was no sense of balance nor finesse in the dishes served. The 8 course menu took place over a whopping 4.5 hours. The stuffy atmosphere and mediocre food made the 30 min wait for each course unbearable. To cap off our disappointment, the maître D asked for tips. Unacceptable for a restaurant of such (unjustified) standing.

Wir hatten das Glück einen Tisch für einen Freitag Abend zu bekommen und es hat sich gelohnt. Den Harmonischen Service vom Tantris zu erleben. Es gleicht einem Tanz wen der Service in Harmonie die Tische ein deckt und durch seine Aufmerksamkeit imponiert. Die Weine waren Perfekt und Harmonisch abgeglichen zu den Perfekten Speisen. Das Essen schmeckte Vollzüglich desweiteren waren die Speisen perfekt angerichtet und modern Inspiriert an den Klassikern der Französischen Küche . Wir waren anlässlich meines Geburtstages an einem Freitag Abend im Tantris und ließen uns mit dem 8-Gang Menü inkl. Weinbegleitung verwöhnen. Die Qualität und Darbietung der Speisen war herausragend. Jeder Gang konnte mit einer kleinen Überraschung in Zubereitung, Komposition oder Darbietung überzeugen. Auch die Weinbegleitung war exzellent. Besonders positiv hervorheben möchten wir den Service - ausnahmslos perfekt. Freundlich, entspannt, perfekt geschult - das gesamte Team liest einem jeden Wunsch von den Lippen ab und hatte sogar eine kleine Geburtstagskarte vorbereitet. Es war auch sehr nett im Anschluss an das Menü noch eine kleine Führung durch die Küche zu bekommen. Lediglich zwei ganz kleine Kritikpunkte: Der Espresso ist okay aber mit 6 Euro (!) wirklich unnötig überteuert. Die Aperitif-Cocktails der Bar (Whiskey Sour und Tantris Negroni) waren nicht gut zubereitet, einfallslos, ohne jegliche Deko und mit je 18 Euro daher auch überteuert. Insgesamt eine tolle Erfahrung in einem geschichtsträchtigen Gourmettempel der Extraklasse 😍
