Oliver Israeli vegan food - private dining room Atelier & more in München

Super beautiful! Food was super delicious! Service super good!

Only 3x stars because I think the store is never open. I've been trying to visit this place for a year because... There are good reviews about the food online but it was always closed. 2 weeks ago I was walking past and it was closed again but I was standing in front of the shop and chatting about the shop with a friend and a lady came out and said that they were closed due to an event the next week but in 2 weeks they will be open. The lady gave me a card with a phone number for a reservation and then for a week I tried to call 20 times but no one was reached. Last week I put a reservation for this evening on the answering machine because on the card you gave me the opening times were Wednesday to Sunday 5:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. and I went there today - Thursday - 6:30 p.m. and the shop was still closed. I knocked on the door several times and rang the bell, but no one came and it looked dark inside. It wasn't a Svhild that was exceptionally closed today due to illness or something like that. It's a shame, we really wanted to try the mezze but it seems that you have to have a 6 in the lottery before you can find it open.

Edit: The response to this review leaves me speechless and I'm therefore reducing it to one star. 🫨 “Esoteric” is a complete understatement. 🤦🏽‍♀️ The only acceptable response to customer criticism would have been: "Thanks for the feedback. We will do our best to make our information easier to find online." What happens instead? You are badly insulted and even “reported”. What kind of babbling is that? And accuse me of being from “Gaza”? 😅 Because I complain that there is no customer-friendly information about the restaurant? These are just facts: There is no website, no social media profile, not even clear information on the restaurant door. I am an atheist German from Stuttgart and have been campaigning against anti-Semitism and anti-Semitic hate speech online for years(!)! Absurd ad hominem argument. This reaction is incredibly unprofessional! I'd rather visit the Kuli Alma in Frankfurt. +++ I would have loved to eat here when I was a guest in Munich to support Jewish women and because I find Israeli vegan food super tasty and healthy. And the photos of the dishes here on Google Maps look really great! Unfortunately, I couldn't because this restaurant probably doesn't want any female customers: I can't explain it any other way, that it doesn't have a website or any accessible information about opening times or what's on offer - nothing! 🤔 I even went to the (closed) restaurant. Everything there is overgrown with plants, which makes it look like a lonely place. There are also very small, cryptic texts on the door and walls that I didn't understand, but there are no opening times here either. What's the point of leaving me with a thousand question marks? 🤷🏽‍♀️ This makes the business seem unprofessional and esoteric. It's a shame, I would have loved to eat there and imagined something similar to Kuli Alma in Frankfurt.

Sometimes you enter a restaurant and immediately sense that someone is putting their heart and soul into what they're doing. Andrea runs her little paradise with a palpable passion that is reflected in every detail: from the loving furnishings, which create their own little world, to the carefully put together menu. The food was simply fantastic! A small but fine selection of dishes that taste convincing and offer variety. You can tell that quality trumps quantity here. Every bite was a delight. We were particularly impressed by the atmosphere. It felt less like a classic restaurant and more like a cozy dinner by the fire with good friends - relaxed, warm and just an all-round success. If you are looking for a special culinary experience in a cozy environment, you should not miss this highlight in Munich! 👌

We were a group of almost 15 people for a private dinner. Really cozy atmosphere, you felt like you were with friends in the living room. The food was super tasty, as a non-vegan I didn't miss anything. The owner cooks everything herself and freshly and you can taste it!

I was Andrea's guest at a private dinner. The food was fantastic and everyone enjoyed it very much. In addition to the food, I found the atmosphere in the restaurant very nice. Thanks to the oven it was very cozy and there are all sorts of special and individual furnishings to admire.

We had a wonderful dinner at "Oliver Israeli vegan food". The restaurant offers “private dining”, which meant we were completely alone during dinner and had the whole place to ourselves. The food (all vegan) was super delicious. I personally particularly enjoyed the pea patty, the hummus and the baked eggplant. The atmosphere is really special with lots of creative, small ideas. We felt really comfortable next to the stove and the owner was also super nice, which made the evening feel like we were in the living room with friends. Unfortunately, you don't find something like that that often in Munich anymore. Perhaps also interesting: There were around 15 people, but there would have been more seats.

Andrea, the friendly hostess at Olivers, knows her craft: Right from the start I was impressed by the super delicious green smoothie... freshly made for us. For dinner there was fresh mezze, delicious mushroom ragout and many Israeli specialties... very tasty and all vegan. And alongside the wine, not just any water was served: there was even Leonhard's water. We were able to celebrate among ourselves... in a relaxed atmosphere that almost gave us a living room feeling. A great place! Atmospheric atmosphere, with a tiled stove and candles! We were there as a private group of almost 15 people and owner Andrea conjured up a wonderful and extremely delicious dinner for us! Everyone enjoyed it and the pea planters in particular are highly recommended! It currently only offers private dining. Thanks to Andrea for this wonderful evening!

We've been excited for a long time about what this restaurant conjures up on the table without meat! Very tasty and imaginative cuisine, guaranteed to be all homemade and beautifully presented. The owner gives her casual and cozy living room restaurant a very special and pleasant flair. Now we are looking forward to a private party there!

We celebrated a grand finale to my friend's bachelorette party here. Andrea (the owner) decorated the table wonderfully, we sat outside and had a real holiday feeling. Despite its central location, the street on which the restaurant is located is quite quiet in the evenings. There was a 4-course menu and homemade Kir royal (with sparkling wine) and a gin smoothie shot to toast 🤪 The food was delicious, we all agreed, even the omnivores among us. We particularly enjoyed the starter mezze, the pea frying and the mousse au chocolat 😍 I'm already looking forward to the next time ☀️

It's a beautiful restaurant with wonderful mezze. I would like to celebrate my birthday here. Is it possible to use the location for a private celebration?

Most beautiful atmosphere and best mezze in Munich! I've been there several times and also celebrated my birthday here, everyone was thrilled! We had hummus, grilled eggplant, zucchini cranberry, Brussels sprouts, and many other mezzes, everything is homemade and incredibly good. The boss is very warm and makes all wishes possible. There's also just nice, dim lighting, candles everywhere. The room and the restaurant have soul. Insider tip and absolute recommendation!

"Feel yourself at home". I did. The owner was super friendly and fast although she was alone in the restaurant. The food was delicious! So mich love in every dish. Please, acknowledge how much passion is in this restaurant and just enjoy it!

Wholesome, nourishing, soulful and delicious. That is how I would describe this hidden gem in Munich. The food is so flavorful and filling, that it does justice to the idea of vegan food at its best. The host was very warm and made it feel like home. There was a certain informality and comforting feeling inside the restaurant that is rare to find. The red wine and chocolate mousse was to die for and we shall be coming back for more!! Superb stuff - keep it up and god bless.

Ein wundervoller Ort. Das Lokal hat so viel Seele, dass ich mich sofort wohl gefühlt habe.Der Empfang der Besitzerin war unglaublich herzlich und persönlich und das Essen war ein Traum. Solch eine Gastfreundschaft—man fühlt sich wie zuhause bei Freunden, sogar wenn die Chefin allein den Laden schmeißt. Liebevoll eingedeckte Tische und viel Service obendrauf. Sehr große Portionen, mit Hingabe gemacht und sehr ausgefallen, wie das Restaurant und die Gastgeberin eben 💚 super Süßkartoffeln bei den Mezze, die waren mit den snickers-Datteln unser absoluter Favorite 🤤 Info: wer keine Überraschungen mag, sollte genau nachfragen, wie das Gericht interpretiert wird (zB Pilzragout ist eher eine Suppe oder ein Eintopf, keine Pilze in Sauce oder Jus zum Hummus. Der kommt auch nicht extra sondern mittendrin 😄)

It is a wonderful place! When we were there, the owner of the place was so nice and talkative. She has prepared everything by herself and arranged for us a very nice table. The food was so delicious. Humus, aubergine and shakshuka were all vegan and very light. Even with the huge plates we did not feel badly full. We will go there again and soon definitely 🤗

This place deserves more than 5 stars!! The owner is an excellent and interesting host. The Humus and Matbuha with spinach on baguette was great. Not to miss!

This place is such a hidden gem in a less touristy (but still wonderful!) part of Munich. It’s quaint, unique, and very romantic with the whole restaurant being candlelit. The food was absolutely delicious and all vegan!!

We went in without a reservation and we’re lucky to get a table since this place is very popular. A rather eccentric but super lovely staff greeted us and served all our dishes, explained everything in detail and told us about her recommendation which was really helpful. The food especially the one with sweet potatoes was very tasty (although I think we should’ve ordered two dishes with different texture because both dishes we ordered had creamy texture and even though it came in a big portion, we kinda got bored of the texture at the end). The atmosphere of the restaurant is super cosy and we felt like we were in someone’s apartment which was lovely. We will come back and try different dishes soon. :)

This place doesn't feel like a generic restaurant, but rather like your artsy aunt's dining room. Luckily, your aunt is the kibnd of person to make you feel really comfortable and stuff you with the best food :). I'm usually more of a takeout person, but this place made me stay. Did not regret it.

Super leckeres Essen! Hatten das Mittagsmenü mit Hummus und Süßkartoffeln, Reis und einer Nachspeise. Leider waren wir dann ziemlich satt, sonst hätten wir uns weiter durch die Karte futtern müssen. Wer unsicher ist, was er auswählen soll, lässt sich einfach wie wir von der sehr netten Chefin beraten. Wer jetzt sagt, boah Hummus und Süßkartoffeln, das gibt es doch in jedem 0815-vegan Laden, dem sei gesagt, dass beides extrem lecker und ganz anders war, als ich es erwartet habe.

Went for lunch in a group of 5 and was impressed, both the food and the service. We felt as if we were indeed at a private dining experience, even though it was the midday menu! Recommendations, pairings, clarifications, stories, all is up for grabs. Some vegan food is an acquired taste (as a non-vegan) but I'll definitely be returning. A gem in the middle of Munich, with very fair prices!

Mein Highlight in München 😍. Es war für mich echt ein geschmackliches Erlebnis, wie ich es vorher noch nirgends erlebt hatte! Außergewöhnlich gewürzt und doch so harmonisch und stimmig...und nicht nur das, auch die Inhaberin/Köchin wirkt so authentisch und leidenschaftlich für das Essen, das steckt einfach an :). Ein echter Geheimtipp, wer mal was anderes möchte - hier gibt es keine 08/15 Gerichte, sondern wirklich kreative, ausgefallene Sachen mit sehr gutem Preis-Leistungsverhältnis und gesund noch dazu. Besonders toll finde ich mittags die Möglichkeit 2 Gerichte zu wählen + Dessert und Wasser. Wenn bei den vielen Geschmäckern jemand auf die Idee kommt etwas könnte fehlen (Fleisch), weiß ich auch nicht :). Gemüse kann so viel... Wer das nicht glaubt, muss einfach hier her;).

A true gem, the owner as well as the store in general! :) I came way after regular hours but because she was still in she quickly prepared a delicious hearty meal for me for a fair price. A shop this colorful, free spirited and full of life would not surprise me in Berlin but it is amazing that it's located so closely to the München Ost train station! Don't miss out on this special opportunity if you get the chance!
