Rustic, tasty, plentiful, friendly, quick, inexpensive!

Words can't even describe how beautiful it was. I liked it so incredibly much. We called an hour in advance and asked if there was still a table available for 6 people. After a moment's consideration, we were accepted. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The food was amazing. We would love to come back when we are in Munich again. We will always remember it in a positive way.

You can only give this restaurant 5 stars. An evening couldn't be better. Good-humored service, great cuisine. Mom still cooks here. Always happy.. Large portions, really good meat at unbeatable prices, and all in Munich. Thank you very much for everything :)

I have to admit, I was a little skeptical at first. We were invited and you should make the most of everything, so we entered the restaurant with an open mind. A flair of the 70s/80s greets a guest when they enter and the first positive thing immediately comes. We were greeted very nicely by the service and shown to the next room where the small celebration took place. The positive impression of the friendly and competent service staff remained throughout your entire stay and you felt welcome. The food comes as expected, without any frills, without anyone having put too much thought into the presentation. BUT the quality served is very good, the taste and preparation are perfect. How they manage to offer these portions of quality at very reasonable prices is surprising, but very pleasant. Therefore an absolute recommendation if you like Croatian cuisine - the schnitzels also looked very good and were praised!

The Gasthaus zum Maibaum is simply great. Even though the hut is full, food and drink is served in record time. The food is on point, very tasty and very plentiful. You get really full. The waitresses are also friendly and take care of every guest. Conclusion: We like being here.

Friendly staff! But... I actually don't think the food is good value for money. Fish with rice, hardly any taste, no real side dish like vegetables. And there was a curly blonde very long hair in it 😞

We had a very good meal here before an event at Zenith. Great Croatian cuisine for cheap money. The atmosphere is very old-fashioned, but the staff is super nice. It is advisable to make a reservation and be there on time.

We've been enjoying eating there for a few years now. The portions are large and super tasty. The restaurant is a family business and everyone is always friendly.

The inn is very inconspicuously located between blocks of flats. There is a beer garden in front of the inn. We ate here in the evening because we were going to a concert at Zenith afterwards. The service was super friendly and very quick, the food was good and the price/performance ratio was hard to beat. You can hardly eat anywhere else that is so good and cheap. 2 large, wholesome portions, salad and 2 drinks for under €40 is really mega. Payment was only possible in cash, which was ok for us, but perhaps we should reconsider accepting card payments.

Very friendly family-run restaurant with Croatian dishes... very tasty and the portions were plentiful... the ambience... if you want to go out for a fancy meal, you're in the wrong place... it was very crowded, loud and very rustic... (for me exactly right) but the service and quality of the food were great... price-performance ratio unbeatable...

Very good food and very cheap!! Large schnitzel is only €12.90. Čevapi good, juicy and spicy with "real" Ayvar - like in Croatia! Price/performance is great, and the two young landlords are very nice, personable, friendly. Inn is a clear recommendation.

Interesting neighborhood restaurant. FYI you seat yourself, and the waiter/waitress will come to you. Some English, but staff are friendly enough.

Exactly what I was looking for in this kind of restaurant. Home made, fresh and heart warming food, warm welcoming service without any fussing, and a cold, german beer to go with it. There is nothing to complain about, the cevapcici were crunchy outside, moist inside and beautifully spiced and seasoned, the ajvar was sweet, not hot, and tasty. Pilav was delicious, the rice not mushy and the flavour great. Portion was really big, and I'm actually glad it's located off the beaten path because I get to walk off all that marvelous food.

That's how it has to be when you go to the "Yugoslavian". It's probably not politically correct - but it is true. Always great service, the food tastes how it should taste and is always good! And that’s still true 5 years later 😀

Very inexpensive dishes with good quality

Had salad with turkey strips, unfortunately the turkey was tough and dry. It was a simple salad made of stale-tasting cucumbers, potato salad, greens and coleslaw overall according to school grades grade 5 The waitress asked if it was tasty. I said no, nothing came instead of a Gudi, it's a shame once is too much. Didn't finish the salad.

Not so hard. Meat kebabs very, very, very dry. Pancakes very, very, very fatty. I'm not going there anymore.

Unfortunately my meat wasn't fully cooked, but the food itself tasted good. Our waitress had better things to do and looked after private friends and no longer showed any consideration for us after we said we wanted to pay.

Good cuisine at down-to-earth prices. Changes to supplements are no problem. Nice service. We'll definitely come back.

A nice restaurant with a really great beer garden. Very friendly staff (it's a family business). We had known the place for a long time, but we hadn't been there for a while. You can certainly say a varied menu (German/Croatian), everything made fresh, including the spaetzle. You can see from our stars that it is worth a visit. By the way, the portions are great for good eaters and the prices can't be beat. Try it out, you'll definitely be amazed.

We came pretty late around 9 PM. The service was friendly, and on top. the soup could be better, the main course plate for two was amazing. The portions were big, only the soup was small. The atmosphere is friendly and silent.

Home cooking from mom is also available. Super nice and always have kind words, even when it's really crowded

It was recommended to us by a colleague from Munich and we were not disappointed. Very good food with a top price-performance ratio. Otherwise we probably wouldn't have found it, which would have been a shame.

Very good food - cooked by mom! The staff was also very nice - the owners were too. A great restaurant / beer garden in the middle of nowhere just before the subway station. We would never have found it without Google Maps. But it was worth the trip. AND: according to today's standards, inexpensive!

Several people went together. The food was reasonably priced and the quantity was reasonable. The taste is also good. In short, it is good value for money. If possible, go before 5:30 and order your meal. After that time, the number of guests increases rapidly. There are several seats outside, but... The waiting time after ordering food is long. One thing to note is that this restaurant only accepts cash. So be sure to prepare cash. The bathroom is clean and very comfortable to use. The staff are also very friendly. I plan to visit again next time.

Nice, quiet beer garden a bit isolated but great food. We were served straight away and hardly had to wait. The portions are large and nicely presented. The maypole is more of a corn stick but that doesn't bother anyone.

After we had inquired beforehand, we were looking for seats on a Saturday, after an FC Bayern game, and were aware that we would have to wait. This would also be communicated to us. After we were assigned the seat, we were unfortunately left behind by the male waiter. It's better to have a smoke than to take care of the guests. The female colleagues were running their heels off. After 15 minutes without paying any attention, we decided to leave and look for something to eat somewhere else! Thanks for the experience!

My wife and I ate here 2 times and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Once indoors and the other outside. The food was delicious. The service was friendly, and they helped us with the german language menu. Prices were resonable. I would highly recommend to anyone!

We wanted to eat something in peace after visiting the Allianz Arena. Since the city is always extremely overcrowded, I was looking for something on the U6 and found this rustic and cozy inn. Very nice hosts, super delicious food and great prices.
