I was in Munich for work and ate at the restaurant twice. The food is good and tasty. The beer is very inexpensive for Munich. It doesn't always have to be Augustiner. ;-)

A place just a minute's walk from the train station. A discovery. Excellent food. Excellent beer. There were 8 of us, and the dishes were all different but all excellent quality, even the desserts. All generous and tasty portions. The guys who served us were exquisite and precise. A 5-star place.

You rarely see that these days. A truly warm welcome. A cozy atmosphere, and very child-friendly staff. I've rarely felt so comfortable anywhere. Needless to say, the food is also excellent. Excellent value for money, significantly cheaper than other restaurants in this segment. I'd definitely recommend it! There's also a fairly large beer garden outside where you can sit during the summer.

Great location, right near the Freimann U6 subway line. Fast service and very friendly. Large portions. We had the Balkan food – it was good, but unfortunately it didn't remind me of my childhood. I've been there many times, and it tasted a bit different. As I said – that only counts for me. Still, highly recommended!

This inn is much more than just a restaurant. Upon arrival, you'll receive a warm welcome from the family-run team – you'll immediately feel the authentic Croatian hospitality. It's a popular meeting place for locals, almost an insider tip in the region. The owner herself is in the kitchen, cooking with palpable love and dedication. We enjoyed a mixed salad and a delicious roast beef with onions, accompanied by a genuine Croatian red wine from their own vineyards – a real highlight! The service was consistently friendly, attentive, and helpful. The food was homemade, fresh, and prepared with love. Unfortunately, there was no room for dessert after the main course – but we were served a typical Croatian herbal schnapps to round off the meal. A place with heart and soul – I'd definitely love to come back!

For me, the Gaststätte zum Maibaum is a true hidden gem in Munich! Finally, truly fair and realistic prices—for example, a superb meal for €13.90. The food is down-to-earth, delicious, and honest, complemented by a relaxed, no-nonsense atmosphere. This is exactly what a restaurant experience should be: uncomplicated, welcoming, and simply delicious. Highly recommended!

This is the second time we've been here since January, concluding a visit to Munich. My wife found it by chance in January, and we were already happy with it. Nothing has changed now. We got off the subway right outside the door after visiting the IAA. The food and friendliness are all top-notch, and the prices are pleasantly normal for these days, especially for Munich. In the city center, you get ripped off like a Christmas goose. Or you're just in tourist hell. I'll just say the world-famous Bräuhaus, which we at least took a look at. We'd be happy to come back here a third time when we're back in Munich. The atmosphere is just like an older pub. If that's a problem, then you'll have to pay a lot of extra euros for some kind of atmosphere. It worked out well for us. Keep it up.

We were on a trip to Croatia and had dinner here. The food is good. We had a schnitzel for main and grilled vegetables for starter. We did not like the vegetable too much - it was a bit too greasy in my opinion. The waitress spoke English and was very kind. It was not too expensive (about €40 for 2p). It seems like a casual place where locals like to go for dinner.

We've been to this inn twice already, always on our way north. The inn has a pleasant atmosphere. We always felt at home here. What's particularly positive is the value for money. You get wonderful food here at an absolutely fair price! The dishes are beautifully presented and, in our opinion, highly recommended.

I used to really enjoy going to "Zum Maibaum" – the food is still good and tasty. Unfortunately, the service has deteriorated significantly. The waiters seem disorganized and unfriendly, which makes the experience unpleasant. It's especially unfortunate that the warm and always friendly Anna is no longer there – she always gave the restaurant a personal touch. But there's also some good news: Anna is opening her own beauty salon at Jean-Paul-Richter-Straße 7 in Munich in October! I wish her every success – anyone who knows her knows how much passion and dedication she puts into her work. 🌟

If you're in the area, eat here! The menu is clear, with a selection or variations to suit everyone. Friendly service, quick delivery, and incredibly delicious food! Definitely recommended.

Very good food. I live right next door and eat there regularly with a few colleagues. Very fresh, beautiful location, and friendly staff. So, one of the best restaurants in Freimann 👍🏼.

Phew, that was a very special experience that took some getting used to. Overall, it's good if you want to get drunk with your friends before or after a game of street football. Otherwise, definitely not recommended, unless you're purely adventurous and in the mood for a very rustic, quaint atmosphere that borders on antisocial. You could easily overlook the unfriendly and arrogant service if you didn't get stomach problems after the meal. I followed the recommendation and was bitterly disappointed when I was served undercooked, dry meat. We would never eat there again.

The food is (repeatedly!) not commensurate with the price, I'm only rating this in the hope that this might be the case. the quality gets better. Ordered Pola-Pola again today - the Chevapcici, rice and meat were extremely watery and tasted bland. I used to eat here a lot and know that it can be done much better. A consistent lack of soap in the toilets - I know these are difficult times, but you shouldn't skimp on the basics. It's a shame because the location is good and the staff is very nice...

Cevapcici with an unusually dry consistency and unfortunately without kajmak - as I actually know it! Cozy inn with friendly staff, beautiful beer garden which is unfortunately only open from Easter to October, although the weather was already perfect for visiting the beer garden before Easter!

Rustic, tasty, plentiful, friendly, quick, inexpensive!

Words can't even describe how beautiful it was. I liked it so incredibly much. We called an hour in advance and asked if there was still a table available for 6 people. After a moment's consideration, we were accepted. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The food was amazing. We would love to come back when we are in Munich again. We will always remember it in a positive way.

You can only give this restaurant 5 stars. An evening couldn't be better. Good-humored service, great cuisine. Mom still cooks here. Always happy.. Large portions, really good meat at unbeatable prices, and all in Munich. Thank you very much for everything :)

I have to admit, I was a little skeptical at first. We were invited and you should make the most of everything, so we entered the restaurant with an open mind. A flair of the 70s/80s greets a guest when they enter and the first positive thing immediately comes. We were greeted very nicely by the service and shown to the next room where the small celebration took place. The positive impression of the friendly and competent service staff remained throughout your entire stay and you felt welcome. The food comes as expected, without any frills, without anyone having put too much thought into the presentation. BUT the quality served is very good, the taste and preparation are perfect. How they manage to offer these portions of quality at very reasonable prices is surprising, but very pleasant. Therefore an absolute recommendation if you like Croatian cuisine - the schnitzels also looked very good and were praised!
