Delicious😋 Very suitable for Asian tastes

As an Asian, I was excited to try this restaurant—especially because of the good reviews. Unfortunately, I was disappointed. For the hefty price of €5.50 per piece of unagi, I expected juicy, tender eel sushi. What I was served, however, was barely more than skin—tough, fatty, and lacking the flavor I'd hoped for. No trace of meat! When I politely asked if it was an oversight, I was simply fobbed off: "Sometimes you get unlucky and get a bad piece of unagi." No apology, no attempt to resolve the issue. Given these prices and the claim to be a well-reviewed restaurant, this is absolutely unacceptable. As a half-Japanese, I've rarely experienced something like this in an Asian restaurant. One thing is certain: I will never order unagi there again. Because the food overall wasn't bad, I'm giving it two stars.

Nice servers, good food, great cocktails. A bit of a wait for service but not much. Rice for the sushi was a bit overdone but pho was delicious! Overall I really recommend !! :)

There are no cons of visiting this place. The food is amazing. The staff are friendly and super helpful without being in your face. The atmosphere were of where people are having unbelievably delicious food with good portions. The price is good considering the quality. There are vegan dishes too which are tasty instead of the half hearted couple of token options.

You can't go wrong with food, large portions and super tasty but honestly the true star of the show was our server Johnny (Hiep). He works at 2x speed and more than a server a genuinely amazing person who beams happiness, we will always remember him and consider him a friend after tonight. Shine on Johnny!

Brought to the table rather silently and not very friendly. The menu was also just thrown onto the table. The order could have been taken a bit more quickly. The sushi starter was good. When asked how spicy the red curry was, no information was available. The mango curry was good, the teriyaki with duck came with chicken, and neither of us particularly liked the sauce. Attentiveness of the staff is not their strong suit.

Füssen's best Asian restaurant! We had a fantastic evening and were completely satisfied with everything. We'll definitely be back! ☺️

This restaurant has a lively and happy vibe. The cuisine they serve is Asian so I would say they don't really specialise in one particular cuisine. I noticed that the food that they dish up looks really fresh and well presented. We only tried their pho and I must say that it's just ok. But I'm mindful that we're in Germany and can't really compare that with the authentic pho that we are so used to. We also had the mango sticky rice dessert and again it's a bit flat and lacking in flavour. Service was quick and friendly so for someone who's craving Asian flavours it's still an option.

Wir sind schon oft bei Kyodai gewesen, meist kommen wir zu zweit und bekommen mit viel Glück einen Tisch ohne Reservierung. Für größere Gruppen sollte aber besonders am Wochenende unbedingt vorher telefonisch reserviert werden. Das Personal ist unglaublich freundlich, selbst an einem Samstagabend ohne freie Plätze verzieht dort keiner eine Miene! Wir finden, dass hier im Umkreis das beste Sushi gegessen werden kann - auch alle anderen Gerichte sind so unheimlich lecker! Egal ob die Vorspeisen, Hauptgerichte oder Desserts, hier ist für jeden Geschmack etwas dabei! Auch als kleine Gruppe (zu siebt) wurden wir, wie immer, mit tollem Ambiente und fantastischem Geschmack überrascht!

I haven’t eaten food this good in a while. The restaurant has a good vibe and very friendly and calm staff. The place is also dog friendly so that’s very nice too. Overall, nothing to complain about, just very good food with a nice atmosphere inside!

A real highlight in Füssen! The sushi at Kyōdai was some of the best I've ever eaten - absolutely top quality and excellent in taste. The staff was also extremely friendly and attentive, which made the visit even more special. You can tell that there is a lot of attention to detail here. Clear recommendation for all sushi fans!

We verbleven in het hotel naast dit restaurant en liepen er langs; het viel ons meteen op hoe druk en gezellig het was. We besloten direct naar binnen te gaan. Helaas was het vol, maar we konden een uur later terecht, en het wachten was het meer dan waard. Ik heb nog nooit zulke lekkere verse springrolls gegeten; de misosoep was verrukkelijk en de hoofdgerechten waren ongelooflijk smaakvol. In combinatie met de heerlijke cocktails geef ik dit restaurant een dikke 10! En niet te vergeten: het personeel, stuk voor stuk ontzettend leuke en gastvrije mensen.

Great vietnamese cuisine - great flavors and not very westernized. One of my favorite meals in Germany so far. Drinks were excellent, very nice cocktails or non-alcoholic drinks if you're tired of beer. After a few days of heavy German food, this was a nice reprieve and great comfort food. I'm really happy I found this place with the help of many helpful reviews. A must try if you have a hankering for some rice, noodle soup or curry dishes!

Dreadful Hygiene - The Pho with peanuts was a disaster! Let me preface this by saying I rarely write negative reviews, but my experience at this establishment was so alarming and physically distressing that I feel it's my duty to warn others. I visited this restaurant in April 2025, within a few hours of leaving, I began experiencing the classic signs of severe food poisoning. It completely ruined my holiday. Beyond my personal suffering, the lack of attention to basic food safety is unacceptable. No one should have to endure such a debilitating illness after eating at a restaurant. This experience has left me with a strong aversion to this place and a genuine worry for the health of future patrons. A thorough inspection by health authorities is warranted

Un deuxième passage dans ce restaurant au cadre tout simplement magnifique, après une belle visite , je suis retourné dans ce bel établissement, ou j'avais déjà mangé en début d'année , et une chose est sure , il est validé comme l'une de mes adresses lors de mes futurs voyages.....

The service is super nice and attentive. The food tastes excellent and is also beautifully prepared. You can also see that the food is freshly prepared.

The food was tasty but there was little amount of noodles and tons of bamboo sprouts. It was just too much (Bun Tron). But I am sure that other food is great. They are preparing food with love, serving it also with love. You can feel this right away. Next time I will try something else and let's see how it will go. Definitely do a reservation before, it is everytime totally full. I recommend to visit.

We were in the restaurant on the Monday before Easter. The restaurant was busy and we made a reservation by phone. Alright, that was very good. Ambiance is a little cheesy, but not overly bad. Overall it was worth it except for the Aperol, which is probably already mixed. We paid €52 for two long drinks, a starter and two main courses.

First time at kyodai for a day trip. My gf and I loved it! The food the drinks and the service was exceptional.

I had food poisoning from the food... Service was good and so was the food (chicken with peanut sauce) at first, but that same night I vomited several times and had a high fever... Apparently the hygiene standards are not that high there

Food was great, very tasty! Sushi was perfect. Very courteous and friendly waiters! :) Unfortunately it wasn't possible to order drinks a second time because it was very busy - that can happen :)

Unfortunately very disappointing last time, the quality has deteriorated quite a bit. The meat in the TigerRolls was actually inedible. The same with the mango salad... when it was pointed out, the owner felt rather attacked. Too bad...

The food was very delicious. And is highly recommended. Unfortunately our order was taken incorrectly, he wanted to replace it for us but we didn't want it to be thrown away. Therefore service 3/5. Ambience was good, just a bit noisy. The restaurant is very popular and it is better to make a reservation in advance. We were lucky to get a table without reservations but many others had to queue and wait. The food was ready very quickly.

Everything was just perfect! We've never had sushi so artfully and lovingly presented—almost too beautiful to eat. The taste was equally delicious: fresh, high-quality, and perfectly balanced. The service was attentive and friendly, which made the experience even more enjoyable. A visit here is definitely a must for sushi lovers or Asian food lovers in Füssen! Reservations are highly recommended, as the restaurant is in high demand.

We arrived without a reservation and "had to" sit at the bar. I'd rather say "were allowed" to ;) You have peace and quiet and can watch the food being prepared, which I like. The staff was super friendly and on the ball even though it was busy. Many dishes appealed to me, but it simply had to be pho. I'll be honest, I'm not a pho expert; I've probably had one in 10 restaurants. But the next 10, 20, or more should be at least as good as this one. They also served lots of bean sprouts and Thai basil (hopefully I'm right about this one), as well as a spicy sauce. It gives you something to do, and the fun of eating is just as good as the taste.

A lovely, authentic restaurant with friendly service and delicious food. We love going here and always feel welcome. A reservation is definitely a plus. When we dropped in spontaneously as a couple, they made a real effort and allowed us in even though they were fully booked (it took an hour to reserve a table), which we were very pleased about. Everything went smoothly. We've tried several dishes since then, and all of them were very good.

Meine Frau und ich sind in dieses Restaurant gegangen um zusammen abends zu essen. Das ist das leckerste Sushi was ich eh gegessen habe! Die Bedienung ist einfach super! Die Fachkraft für Sushi hat einfach Kunstwerk kreiert mit dem Sushi! Leider sind wir aus Frankfurt und können nicht so oft, aber wäre es in der Nähe, dann direkt als Stammlokal! Wir haben auch die Vorspeise geschenkt bekommen, da wir erzählt haben, dass wir in den Flitterwochen sind. Ich kann das Lokal NUR EMPFEHLEN!

Beautiful stylish shop. From start to finish we were very happy with the service. Even though the restaurant was full, we had a reasonable wait. The pho was a poem, the broth perfectly balanced. The second main course and the starters were also very tasty. The sushi next door looked great. Be sure to reserve.

We tried this restaurant today for the first time, because we visited Füssen and wanna eat Vietnamese food. I have to say everything was great and they wanted make food as close as authentic. Of course it was not perfect 100% but I think it’s worth to try

The staff could have been a little more polite. We felt uncomfortable as the waitress gave us a look as if she wanted us to leave. Maybe she could be friendlier to the next guests in the future.

An interesting mix of Japanese-Vietnamese cuisine. The Phô are highly recommended, I found my rice dish to be rather average. The sushi is really good and delicious... also pleasing to the eye 😍😋 All in all, an exciting concept in downtown Füssen.

We were basically thrown out... We reserved a table for 2 at 6pm on Valentine's Day. After we had eaten our starters and main courses, a waiter asked us if we would like anything else, so we ordered our second bottle of wine. The colleague who had previously served us came up to us a few minutes later and said we had to leave the table in 10 minutes (7:30 p.m.) and whether our colleagues hadn't told us that... The other waiter has already held the bottle of wine behind him. After an offer to sit at the bar we decided to leave. We weren't informed once until 7:20 p.m. that we could only have the table for 1 1/2 hours... On Valentine's Day. This was one of my favorite restaurants with delicious food but unfortunately after this incident we no longer visit the place. Very disappointed.

Based on other critics, we had great expectations for the food of this place so we visited it for lunch. The place is really nice and well decorated. The staff is friendly enough. Regarding the food, we tried some sushi and it was really nice and tasteful. Unfortunately that were not the case with the other two dishes. Can't remember the exact names but the second dish was a Vietnamese soup and the water was much more than the beef broth-flavor. The last dish was crunchy noodles with peanuts and veggies. The flavor was really nice but it was also extremely salty. We hardly finished it.

What a wonderful surprise this was. My wife is Asian and she also says this meal was brilliant. Ambiance is great too, as is the service. It was full, while EVERYWHERE else in this area was empty, the word is out. At first they said no reservation no table but we waited 5 minutes and they found us a table and boy were we happy they did! Beefy bites was brilliant, as was the Pho and Ebi Tempura. Real gohan (Japanese rice) is hard to find in Europe and the portion was quite generous. The lemonade was a real treat too as most german speaking countries have beer, sparkling water, soda and apple and orange juice. Creative and deliciousd lemonades of various types. They DO take credit cards too. Its just 1 minute walk from the equally excellent Ludwigs hotel where we are staying.

It's best to reserve! It's actually always very well attended. Definitely a recommendation!

The food was amazing! I was craving some good soup and I ordered a Miso soup with beef (was excellent) also the chicken soup (entrance) and they were amazing! Also we had summer rolls and my boyfriend ordered red curry chicken and was very good, too! The restaurant was full but the attention was completely satisfying. I am coming next time for sure! Ohh forgot about the lemonades I had an aloe Vera lemonade and Lychee lemonade, both very refreshing and delicious.

The food is always a delight. We ordered two dishes to pick up because you can't get a seat on the weekend without a reservation - which of course speaks for the good cuisine. Even the large soups can be ordered to take away without any problems, you then mix the ingredients into the soup at home, the portion is perfect and tastes authentic. We eat here regularly, highly recommended!

Great tip from our hosts. Really great dishes. Attention: Even in the absolute low season and during the week you have to make a reservation here.

Unfortunately everything has deteriorated a lot and it gave us a rather grubby impression. Every plate had a large chip, the entrance area was littered with cigarette butts and other dirt, boxes were piled up in front of the kitchen and my look into the kitchen confirmed the whole thing. Actually, Kyodai has always been one of our favorite restaurants because the food is/was always very good.

Wir waren überrascht das war so ein super Sushi und der Service top. Wir sind ohne Reservierung gekommen und bekamen zum Glück noch einen Platz an der Bar. Man konnte den Team ansehen das sie Spaß beim arbeiten hatten. Trotz vollem Laden mussten wir nicht lange warten. Ich kann nur sagen wer Sushi mag MUSS dahin. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder wenn wir in Füssen sind. Gut gelauntes Personal da macht das Essen noch mehr Spaß

We had reserved for 5 p.m. and arrived 20 minutes late due to traffic. That's how I explained it to him, but he gave up our table and couldn't find anything else for us. He didn't understand what we couldn't understand.

At 10 pm, me and my family were looking for a place to eat and we saw on Google Maps that the restaurant was opened. We came to a waiter and he told us the kitchen was still opened, so we decided to eat there. After that we were received by a VERY rude waitress. She didn’t give us 2 minutes to decide what we were ordering and stuck on the side of the table pressuring. After we decided, she told us sushis weren’t available anymore (60% of the menu) and got upset because we had to decide again, being rude all the time. While we were waiting, we received bad looks from other employees around. After part of us was finished, she started taking all the dishes and brought us the bill while my sister was eating. I understand nobody likes to work until 11, but we arrived there 1 hour before the restaurant was going to close and if you don’t like to work until 11 just DON’T OPEN THE RESTAURANT UNTIL 11. If you as waiter or waitress don’t like to work until that time, that’s a problem between you and your employer, be rude with him/her, the client has NOTHING to do with that. I don’t recommend the restaurant, unless you would like to be treated like a dog.

Food was very tasty! The ambience is great, even though we had a seat a little away from the door. You should still adjust the opening hours on site. Online it says Friday from 5 p.m. - but since it said from 5:30 p.m. on site, we went there first and barely got the last place without a reservation because they were already open at 5 p.m. Otherwise everything was great and recommended.

Pleasantly surprised at how good the mango curry duck is! Duck is tender with crispy skin, and the curry vegetables is cooked till soft and absorbs all that curry flavour. Everything else was also good. Highly recommended!

The staff was very friendly. My boyfriend and I ate at this restaurant for 3 consecutive days and they must have remembered us well it was delicious, the portions were large, the prices were reasonable, and the lunch menu was very special.

The pork belly saot was not good at all. Bland and sweet. It is not for someone for who like flavourful spicy Asian food. However, the manager was kind and honourable to not charge me for that. The edamame and red curry tofu was also good. The place has a beautiful bar and overall atmosphere.
