Ending an "odd" birthday with a very good meal on a normal Thursday evening at Kevin Gideon's - a nice idea. It's also nice to hear that the little restaurant on Theaterwall has reopened. With a bit of luck, we'll stop by there on our Easter walk. And check whether a bottle of water with the meal costs €10 there too. You can do that, but you could also make a statement. Over many years we have visited several star restaurants and experienced and eaten a lot of good things, but we can really recommend this restaurant. It is a very nice, elegant restaurant that doesn't seem intrusive, but you immediately feel at home. We received a very warm welcome. The service is very friendly, competent, unobtrusive, always present and also fun to have. The food was excellent and Mr. Elversfeld and his team gave us a wonderful evening. Of course, with 6 courses there are always one or two courses that really get you and one that is "just" very good. The etouffee pigeon and the cod with Perigord truffle e.g. B. were just a dream, the goose liver with banana was very good, but not enough banana flavor for me.

Tolles Essen, tolles Personal und es wurde sich auch um unseren Hund gekümmert. Perfekt...wir kommen wieder. Vielleicht noch mehr vegane Speisen anbieten :-)

"Spoon in, be happy!" - with these words we were served one of the courses of the fantastic 6-course menu. The quote makes an excellent headline for the review because 1) the food of outstanding quality actually makes you happy and 2) it shows that the beautiful restaurant has relaxed, friendly service that makes you feel welcome and "at home." There were four of us with our two teenage children and we opted for the 6-course menu with wine or non-alcoholic accompaniment (including a menu upgrade in the form of the excellent Wagyu course). The wine selection was always harmonious, the non-alcoholic drinks were well composed and had surprising flavors. Before and between courses there were greetings from the kitchen and intermediate courses that made you want more. The quality of the products was the focus of all courses and it was a pleasure to hear the expert explanations about the origin of the individual components and their processing. You could feel the passion of the Wohlfeld couple and the entire team throughout the entire evening. The proximity to the action (in the visible kitchen) and to the whole team, including the host, made the evening a great experience. We left the restaurant after almost 4 hours and were completely happy. Thank you!

As a couple we had a wonderful evening in a pleasant atmosphere. Our 5 course menu was exquisite and very tasty. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Keep it up.

Overpriced. Price-performance ratio is not right

We took advantage of the 2 hour, 2 star, 3 course promotion for 100 euros per person. First of all: It's not 3 courses. We were at 7 with greetings from the kitchen and spontaneously ordered an extra course (lobster). Without exception, everyone was fantastic and it is obvious that this is the culinary Champions League. This also applies to service and drinks accompaniment. One can only hope that the campaign will continue.

My family is in the business with top chefs and restaurant,hotels over the world, This was one of the very bad experience we had.Over price with what we get, not everything was tasty and this was very shocking. We almost left when they forgot to bring the food during the course we waited almost one hour. And forgotten meal arrived wasn't warm.Course menu must be done in 2hours otherwise you get full impossible to continue eating. Felt like there was no communication between kitchen to the people who serves.Also very pity that not all the waiters has knowledge about the wine,they need to educate more who works there. Maybe it is our mistake that we went this place to think GASTRONOMIE restaurant but it is definitely not.

Everything around was very tasty, everyone was very friendly and there were detailed explanations when we had questions. The wine pairing was also very good!

We came directly from outside and were definitely not dressed appropriately. But we received excellent service and the food was a delight. A little expensive but worth everything.

A visit to a restaurant that, as a whole, certainly triggers ambivalence is undoubtedly an experience that can lead to both thoughtfulness and incomprehension. The dishes showed creative approaches, but the culinary execution fluctuated between fascinating unconventionality and questionable combinations. Unfortunately, the service was inattentive and left a lot to be desired in terms of hospitality, which spoiled the overall impression. The dark, almost stage-like atmosphere seemed strange and gave the feeling of being in a play rather than a welcoming restaurant. Overall, the restaurant remains a place with potential, but its vision still needs more refinement and warmth.
