Seit langen nicht mehr so emphatisches Servicepersonal gehabt wie im Handwerk. Es mag den einen oder anderen geben den das Du was hier selbstverständlich ist nicht passt. Aber wir haben uns von Anfang an wie ein Stammgast gefühlt. Wünsche wurden schnell und unkompliziert umgesetzt. Das Essen war sehr gut, hatte aber natürlich auch abhängig vom eigenen Geschmack Höhen und „Tiefen“. Negatives gibt es nicht zu sagen. Lediglich die Weinauswahl hat noch Potential. Werde auf jeden Fall wieder kommen wenn ich in Hannover bin.

Ein sehr nettes und aufmerksames Team, das immer im rechten Moment da ist. Es war eine tolle kulinarische Reise, begleitet von tollen Menschen, herzlichen Dank!!!!

Great fine-dining experience in a relaxed and non-pretentious atmosphere. We ordered the 6 course menu and received some complementary courses. We chose the non-alcoholic drink pairings which were very interesting and often paired nicely with the dishes. The dishes tasted great and there was a lot of technique involved and a very creative use of different elements. I especially liked when an element was presented in multiple forms within the same dish. Overall it was a great experience, expensive but worth the money.

For me, as a restaurateur myself, this has been one of the best restaurants in the entire region for years. I don't know of any restaurant of this standard that serves consistent quality over so many years and yet continues to improve. Just keep doing what you're doing!

We gladly took the opportunity to stop by 'Handwerk' again. The kitchen didn't disappoint, but rather delighted us with unique and imaginative combinations. Anyone who consistently innovates at such a high level is allowed to make a few mistakes, as was the case with the daring combination of strawberries and peas, which, thanks to a rather sweet strawberry ice cream, drifted very much into the realm of dessert. Unfortunately, the self-confident service undermined the excellent culinary achievements. We wanted to eat inside in the humid, thunderstorm-ridden weather. No, nothing had been prepared. Apart from the fact that being forced to stay on the terrace is generally not accommodating, the evening took a completely different course. After some time, instructions were given as to how and where guests should go inside, bringing their drinks (etc.) with them, if it started to rain. After further bravely enduring battles with the wasps, it finally began to pour – as predicted by all channels – so the entire group of guests fled in panic to the cooler interior. Before dinner, the exchange of a course had been discussed due to an intolerance. My wife wanted to go along with this so that the table could be served uniformly; it was no problem. We then realized from the cutlery that my wife's request had been forgotten, as she was given the steak knife for the originally planned beef. Not a big deal, as my wife likes beef and has no problem with it. But then she wanted a red wine to go with it. The sommelier, however, simply wasn't willing to listen and take her order. Whoosh, he had divided the white wine between us. "Oh, I see," was his response when the red wine request got through to him. I then drank from my wife's glass with the fish. When the white wine was finished, we wanted to add another red wine. Neither of us wanted to drink the red wine from Mallorca that had been delivered to my wife earlier, which was part of the wine pairing and was rather weak. The sommelier said he didn't have anything else. Hey, no glass of red wine!? In a Michelin-starred restaurant!? As he turned away, he explained that he could probably "find" an alternative. The find was presented to us as a 'Barolo'. In his hand, however, he was holding a bottle of 'Dolcetto D'Alba'. This is a completely different wine, which also comes from Piedmont, but is made from a completely different grape variety (Dolcetto) than Barolo (Nebbiolo). In terms of quality, Dolcetto ranks far behind the noble Barolo and also behind Barbera, which is also typical of the region. A poor picture! Despite the great age difference, the constant use of informal language is not abandoned, even when one responds formally.

Nach viel zu langer Zeit, in der ich es irgendwie nicht geschafft habe, das Restaurant zu besuchen, konnte ich es endlich wieder einrichten. Der Service ist unverändert unaufdringlich, freundlich und kompetent. Das Essen weiterhin einfallsreich und jeder Gang machte Freude mit kleinen Überraschungen und Geschmacksnoten. Danke!

Das Essen war spitze! Die Weinbegleitung war bis auf den Chardonnay zu Anfang NICHT schmackhaft und die alkoholischen Getränke insgesamt völlig überteuert. Auch die alkoholfreie Begleitung war nicht so doll… Falls wir noch mal kommen. suchen wir uns eine (!) Flasche Wein aus 😉

Wir können das Restaurant "Handwerk" und sein Team nur Bestens weiterempfehlen. Wir kennen Thomas Wohlfeld von einigen Weintastings bei Alles Wein und waren immer begeistert. Gestern Abend haben wir es dann nach so langer Zeit endlich mal geschafft das Handwerk aufzusuchen. Als ehemalige Mitglieder der hannoverschen Gastrofamilie und Vielbesucher von gastronomischen Destinationen Deutschlandweit haben wir gestern Abend eine Geschmacksexplosion erleben dürfen, die seinesgleichen sucht. Die Weinbegleitung durch Ann-Kristin und Ihrem Team perfektionierte den Besuch im "Handwerk". Wir freuen uns auf ein baldiges Wiedersehen.

Wir waren über Jahre verteilt nun schon 3x hier essen und wurden nie enttäuscht. Die Gerichte sind ausbalanciert und immer ein kleines Erlebnis. Wir nehmen gerne die alkoholfreie Begleitung dazu, da sie super mit den Gerichten harmonieren und wir gespannt sind auf die Kreationen. Das Ambiente gefällt uns sehr. Der Raum bietet eine lockere, gemütliche Atmosphäre in stilvoller Einrichtung. Der Service ist sehr freundlich und wir freuen uns immer wieder hier zu sein.

Ein toller Abend - von den Sterne-Restaurants, die wir kennen und ausprobiert haben eines der besten!

Fine dining sehr angenehm in kleinem Restaurant auf höchstem Niveau! Man sitzt gemütlich und die Atmosphäre ist casual, mit sehr freundlichem, offenem Service, der alles sehr gut erläutert und erklärt, wenn gewünscht! Das Essen ist unaussprechlich gut und gleicht eher einem kulturellem Ereignis, wie ein Besuch in einem klassischen Konzert oder einer Kunstausstellung: alles ist perfekt inszeniert und aufeinander harmonisch abgestimmt! Die alkoholfreie Getränkebegleitung zum Menü ist fantastisch und überraschend, besonders, wenn man versucht schon zu schmecken, welche Ingredienzen sich im Drink befinden und es dann vom Service aufgeklärt wird, ob man richtig liegt! Ein ganz tolles Erlebnis! Morgen sind wir zum 2. Mal da! Freuen uns schon sehr!

Das Personal war ziemlich unfreundlich. Zunächst wurde zwar hoflich nach Sonderwünschen (Allergien) gefragt. Als nach diesen verlangt, diese aber nicht geliefert wurden, war man von Nachfragen sehr genervt und ungehalten. Das war wenig professionell.

Außergewöhnlich gutes Restaurant! Wir hatten den Luxus, dass wir das ganze Restaurant für uns hatten, da eine größere Gruppe kurzfristig storniert hatte. Der Service war hervorragend, ebenso wie das Essen. Wie für eine Sterne-Küche zu erwarten, nicht günstig, aber jeden Euro wert.

Exceptionally good restaurant! We had the luxury of having the whole restaurant to ourselves as a larger group canceled at short notice. The service was excellent, as was the food. As expected for a star kitchen, not cheap, but worth every euro.

My dear colleague and I had dinner at the craft yesterday. We enjoy going to gourmet restaurants and were really looking forward to the menu. We took the wine accompaniment once and the non-alcoholic accompaniment to the menu. Both drink accompaniments were great, what was particularly cool about the non-alcoholic accompaniment was that it was produced in a multifaceted manner and really surprised me - definitely try it out😉. The dishes were all well thought out, extremely tasty and attractively served. As a guest, you quickly notice that there is a relaxed atmosphere among the employees and so the hosts guided us through the evening in a professional and relaxed manner. The prices are absolutely fair and the atmosphere is very well thought out. From the cutlery to the decoration, the concept in craftsmanship is consistent. We will definitely come by you again.

We had the 7 course menu. Every course was wonderful. Taste-wise and visually. I wouldn't be surprised if the second star comes soon ⭐⭐. The wine pairing was also perfect for each course. Finally, a 1997 port wine. Everything is just great.

Absolutely unique experience and great service. We had dinner for two and the menu was really outstanding. The dishes always surprised us. The wine accompaniment as well as the non-alcoholic accompaniment complemented the dishes perfectly. The service from the team was absolutely top, very accommodating and friendly. The quote makes an excellent headline for the review because 1) the food of outstanding quality actually makes you happy and 2) it shows that the beautiful restaurant has relaxed, friendly service that makes you feel welcome and "at home." There were four of us with our two teenage children and we opted for the 6-course menu with wine or non-alcoholic accompaniment (including a menu upgrade in the form of the excellent Wagyu course). The wine selection was always harmonious, the non-alcoholic drinks were well composed and had surprising flavors. Before and between courses there were greetings from the kitchen and intermediate courses that made you want more. The quality of the products was the focus of all courses and it was a pleasure to hear the expert explanations about the origin of the individual components and their processing. You could feel the passion of the Wohlfeld couple and the entire team throughout the entire evening. The proximity to the action (in the visible kitchen) and to the whole team, including the host, made the evening a great experience. We left the restaurant after almost 4 hours and were completely happy. Thank you!

Definitely our favorite restaurant in Hanover. Thomas and his team cook just the way we like it and the rest of the team looks after you at all times the way they should be. The menu changes regularly, which is of course always great for us regulars. We like to eat out often in other Michelin-rated restaurants, but we always enjoy coming back to the craft.

We went to Handwerk and all loved the food plus all the little amuse bouch. A long way from overpriced and the sevice was top notch Would highly recommend it

Mega! It was worth every penny. Very special to us, super delicious food, very friendly staff that explained all the dishes well, great wine accompaniment and a very pleasant relaxed atmosphere. Very good mix of fine food and not too formal surroundings. And as with all service providers and craftsmen today: It's nice when you meet such committed and passionate people.
