Diverse, exciting, surprising and intense food. I haven't eaten so well in a long time. Great relaxed and attentive service with great wine advice. The boss comes to the table. The food is worth the money. We are traveling back from Hamburg.

Our occasion was our 44th wedding anniversary and it was truly celebratory. The menu gave us aromas and flavor combinations that we had never experienced before. We really enjoyed it. There was also very friendly but not “stiff” service. The ambience is modern and fits the idea that defines the kitchen. The outside of the building was surprising. In the region, half-timbered buildings are more likely to be found in home-style gastronomy 😊 But it goes well with the modern interior. It was a very nice evening for my wife and I.

Simply an experience, especially culinary, of course, but the team also mastered the rest of the field perfectly to our taste. We'll be back!

The menu was very well put together and, above all, the sommelier had selected the wines for the individual courses with excellent flair and in-depth knowledge. What we particularly liked about the menu was the frequent interaction or juxtaposition between warm and cold or mild with a spicier note. Of course, we would also like to mention the wonderful artistic presentation of the individual dishes, which is also a great delight for the eye. Overall - due to the very friendly team, the delicious menu, the excellent wines and the cozy restaurant - we can look back on a very nice, all-round successful evening and would like to thank the entire team once again.

Very nice reception, great welcome with small delicacies to start with, wine advice, and off we went with the 5 course menu. Very warm due to the temperatures, no air conditioning. -> Unfortunately, the cutlery was forgotten to be set even though the food was already there, so it took a long time between courses, 3 desserts were too sweet for us personally / we would have preferred one more savory course. (This is a matter of taste, others may see it differently) Some of the empty plates stood in front of us for a long time. In the end we had to leave urgently and despite repeated requests the bill only arrived after 30 minutes. All in all it was a very nice evening - we lacked perfection for the price.

The new location is very cozy and there is almost a “living room atmosphere”. Lovingly furnished, with beautiful details. When it comes to service, the service has been taken a step further and leaves nothing to be desired. The new monthly ticket is once again full of surprises and various little highlights. All of these delicacies were perfectly rounded off by the stunning wine accompaniment, which had at least as many highlights. You can tell with every bite and every sip that there is a team working here that wants to pamper the customers and make them feel comfortable in their roles. Hammer! It was a complete success and we are already excited for the next time!

The food is very good for Oldenburg standards! There is also little to complain about in terms of craftsmanship. Unfortunately, I had the feeling that the dishes were put together with a very citrus-heavy focus. Of course it could just be because of the map (June 2024). In principle there's nothing wrong with it, but it all seemed "very similar". The ambience in the beautiful thatched house is really suitable for the restaurant and you just feel comfortable. Unfortunately, the service was a bit too lengthy for me. The dishes can also be served a little quicker here. Unfortunately, my jacket was accidentally taken from the cloakroom by another guest. However, the staff were able to sort this out and I received my jacket back the next day. It would still be better here if the employees who received the jacket also gave it back and didn't let the guest search for it on their own, simply to avoid such misunderstandings. Because that had somewhat spoiled what was actually a lovely evening.

We were warmly and professionally welcomed in an old building that was modern and tastefully furnished. We immediately felt comfortable in the atmosphere and the comfortable chairs invited us to relax and enjoy ourselves. A cocktail at the beginning inspired us to get together in peace and make us curious about new things. We chose the 3-course menu with wine accompaniment and “first of all” enjoyed every moment. Excellent wines with previous sommelier discussions accompanied us through a menu that shone with flavor components. Admiration and respect for the implementation of these many creative, healthy and color-coordinated selected foods determined our evening conversation. New surprises kept us amazed with shining eyes and all our senses lit up. It wasn't even possible to tell you everything, Kevin, when you asked, because we were still so intoxicated by everything. Thank you also for the many attentive gestures from everyone who looked after us carefully, calmly and concentrated in the room. Even today, days later, we still feel spoiled and are grateful to all of you for the extraordinary evening.

Yesterday we were Kevin Gideon's guests in the restaurant for the first time and it was really fantastic. There is a cozy and relaxed atmosphere in the restaurant, which we really liked. The menu was truly unique and each course was topped by the next course. The different components made it something very special and a unique taste experience. The service staff was super attentive and very friendly. A big thank you again goes to Kevin, who conjured up many great, delicious non-alcoholic cocktails for my girlfriend. We also particularly liked that Kevin Gideon came to our table and personally asked if everything was okay. He was super friendly and easy to talk to. So the service was very good, they always came at the right time and the non-alcoholic drink accompaniment is also worth an experience for people who otherwise like to drink alcohol. The food is simply amazing, I can't highlight any course because they were all really a taste journey. We had the 7-course version, which actually means it was more like 11... a 4-hour journey for the senses. I highly recommend it. Regarding the new location in an old farmhouse, it can be mentioned that it smells a bit musty. This is surprising at first, but after about 20 minutes you no longer notice it.

We were Kevin's guests last weekend and were thrilled. The 7 course menu was completely convincing. Every dish had a WOW effect and so we can only give it 5 out of 5 stars. The iced mustard foam with the egg was simply brilliant and the meat was also perfect. Many people overdo it with sous vide cooking and take away all life from the product - not here. We had an absolutely fantastic evening with Kevin Gideon and his great team. We chose the 7-course menu, one regular, one vegetarian - each course was a taste explosion, a treat for the palate and beautiful to look at. We were particularly impressed by the creativity, especially with the vegetarian version. The wine accompaniment was also perfect, as was the non-alcoholic alternative with non-alcoholic cocktails (at this point a special thanks to Kevin, who made these great drinks). The entire team was courteous, friendly, explained everything well and for us a highlight was the great combination of highly professional service and a relaxed, friendly tone (not stuffy or cool, but pleasantly relaxed and friendly). At the end of the evening, Kevin Gideon personally came to the table to provide feedback - we found that very appreciative for us as guests. For us, this evening was completely perfect and a wonderful experience that we will remember for a long time. And it was certainly just the first of many evenings that we will enjoy with Kevin Gideon and his team.

Ein toller Abend mit einem fantastischen Essen! Absolut empfehlenswert!

Nach einem zweiten Besuch muss ich leider einen Stern abziehen: nach dem Kaffee und den Petits Fours (wieder sensationell) wurden wir vom Service nicht mehr beachtet, saßen vor den leeren Gläsern und Tellern während an der Bar gespült und eingeräumt wurde. Nach ca. 20 min ohne Reaktion auf Handzeichen stand ich auf und zahlte am Tresen. Das geht nicht! Ansonsten weiterhin: Qualität hervorragend, Geschmacksexplosionen und vielfältige Texturen, sehr sympathischer Chef, der am Ende zu den Tischen kommt und Interesse hat.

Es ist jedes Mal ein fabelhaftes Event. Die Standardbeschreibung der meisten Restaurants lautet „zwanglos“ und passt in der Regel nicht. Bei Kevin Gideon ist dies jedoch vollkommen anders. Der Begriff „zwanglos“ passt wie die Faust auf‘s Auge. Eine Mischung aus Sterneküche, gemütlichem Abendessen mit Freunden und Familie und einer kulinarischen Show. Meine absolute Empfehlung. Wir wünschen euch weiterhin viel Spaß und maximalen Erfolg!

Das Essen und die Präsentation waren sehr gut. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Fragen zum Wein und zum Essen wurden direkt geklärt. Besonders gefallen hat mir, dass der Chef selbst nach dem Essen an den Tisch gekommen ist und nach unserer Meinung gefragt hat. Weiter so!

Wir hatten das komplette Menü und es kam eine Geschmacksexplosion nach der anderen. Es ist schon eine hohe Kunst, in jedem Bissen verschiedene Texturen und vor allem Geschmacksrichtungen zu erleben, die auch noch perfekt auf einander abgestimmt sind und extrem harmonieren. Ich weiß gar nicht wo ich anfangen soll. Der Abend bei Kevin Gideon war ein absolutes Highlight. Man wurde herzlich empfangen und sehr toll durch den Abend begleitet. Die Speisen waren von einem anderen Stern. Es gab viele Geschmäcker, die einen fasziniert haben. Wir haben uns gegen die Weinbegleitung entschieden und uns vom Bartender mit Cocktails bezirzen lassen. An dieser Stelle ein großes Lob an ihn, da er durch ein paar Informationen über einen selbst, fantastisch abgestimmte Drinks zubereitet hat. Wer einmal exzellente Cuisine erleben will, der ist hier gut aufgehoben. Egal ob man sich auskennt oder das zum ersten Mal ausprobiert, hier ist jeder willkommen! Danke für den tollen Abend!

Wir hatten einen grandiosen Abend. Der Gastgeber sehr charmant und voller Passion. In meinen Augen definitiv Sterne verdächtig!

Ein außerordentliches Geschmackserlebnis. Bis dato mein bester Besuch in einem Restaurant. Gerade die zusammengestellten Kompositionen der einzelnen Gänge sorgen für eine einzigartige Geschmacksexplosion. Der Service ist herausragend und Kevin ein super Gastgeber. Das Restaurant ist eine riesige Bereicherung für Oldenburg.

Moin liebes Team vom Restaurant Kevin Gidoen, wieder einmal waren wir von der Menüauswahl und der „Reise durch das Jahr 2023“ begeistert. Teilweise herausfordernde Aromen und Texturen, gepaart mit Schärfe und Süße, einfach ein Feuerwerk für den Gaumen. Ich wusste nicht, dass es möglich ist, so viele Aromen in eine Soße zu zaubern 😊. Schade das die 10 Gänge irgendwann ein ende nahmen. Zu zweit in der Küche, zu dritt im Service, volles Lokal und dennoch liebevoller Service, perfektes Timing für die einzelnen Gänge und immer noch Zeit für einen „Schnack“ mit den Gästen. Respekt für diese Leistungen. Insgesamt war unser fast fünfstündiger Besuch im Restaurant Kevin Gidon wiederholt ein unvergessliches Erlebnis. Die perfekt abgestimmten Gänge, die spannenden Texturen, der herausfordernde Gaumenschmaus, der liebevolle Service und das perfekte Timing machen dieses Restaurant zu einem Ort, den man erlebt haben muss. Wir sagen auf diesem Wege nochmals DANKE für einen entspannten kulinarisch erlebnisreichen Abend und wünschen Euch nochmals auf diesem Wege eine friedvolle Weihnachtszeit, erholsame Feiertage und einen guten Rutsch in das Jahr 2024. Wir sehen uns spätestens zum Kochkurs 2024 und freuen uns jetzt schon !!

Es war vom Anfang bis zum Ende ein wirklich schönes Genusserlebnis!

Mit 4 Personen zum Dinner bei Kevin Gideon. Der ambitionierte junge Koch kommt mit hohen Ansprüchen: ein 5- 10 Gang Menü mit enormer Vielfalt . Das Ambiente eher nüchtern, der Service leger. Die Karte ist vielversprechend und erfordert profunde kulinarische Kenntnisse. Ponzu, Yuzu, Pom Pom - diese Küche ist international und asiatisch beeinflusst. Alle Einzelnen Gänge zu dokumentieren, erfordert zu viel Lesezeit, daher ein Gesamturteil: technisch und handwerklich auf Top Niveau - fein verarbeitete Cremes und Schäumchen, Sorbets, punktgenau gegarter Fisch und Fleisch, pinzettengenau produzierte Teller machen reichlich Eindruck. Die einzelnen Elemente schmecken oft sehr intensiv fruchtig und säuerlich und fordern den Gaumen heraus. Dichtgedrängt präsentieren sich drastische Kontraste, die manch feine Zunge überfordern könnten. insgesamt etwas "jung und wild" im Stil. Vielleicht währe etwas weniger dann doch mehr.. Die Weinkarte ist schon anständig, aber nicht überwältigend- Der Rothschild schon ausgetrunken.. ;-))... Der Service darf für 5 Sterne noch aufmerksamer sein Fazit: Das Potential für die Champions Liga ist wohl vorhanden, dennoch reichts bei mir nicht für 5 Sterne.

Erneut ein grandioses Erlebnis, wir haben schon unterschiedliche Menüs im Kevin Gideon genießen dürfen und die Qualität der Speisen, die Kreativität der Küche und der erstklassige Service bleiben weiter extrem hoch. Wir haben mal wieder einen tollen Abend erlebt mit Geschmacks-Explosionen und kommen auf jeden Fall wieder. Absolute Empfehlung !!!
