Wir hatten zwei Gutscheine zur Hochzeit bekommen und haben sie nun endlich eingelöst. Wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen, wobei uns der Bar-Kevin etwas zu künstlich engagiert im Gegensatz zur "natürlichen" Freundlichkeit des restlichen Teams war. Aber trotzdem sehr fachkundig und nett. Das Essen war unglaublich gut und die Weinbegleitung sehr lecker. Wir hatten vier Stunden eingeplant, waren letztlich aber von 18.00-23.30 Uhr da. Für uns war das Essen jeden Euro wert, haben knapp 500€ inklusive Wasser und Aperitif bezahlt, wobei wir aber leider nicht so oft kommen können wie wir gerne würden. Den Stern Abzug bei "Service" geben wir, da uns nicht vorher gesagt wurde was die Aperitif und das Wasser kosten. Danke für den schönen Abend!

Es war ein toller Abend bei Kevin. Wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen. Das Ambiente ist sehr stilvoll, es steckt viel Liebe im Detail. Der Service war sehr aufmerksam, freundlich und sympathisch. Das Essen sehr lecker, jeder Gericht war ein Gedicht. Das Restaurant ist sehr empfehlenswert.

Wir haben zu sechst gebucht und haben bei einem 7 Gänge Menü 11 Gänge serviert bekommen! Alles war einzigartig gut! Wir haben es genossen! Jederzeit wieder!

Das Essen im Restaurant Kevin Gideon war ein wahres Geschmackserlebnis! Wir haben das 3-Gänge-Menue gewählt, das letztlich mit den Grüßen aus der Küche 7 Stationen beinhaltete. Gesamtbeurteilung: Viele Kompositionen waren ein "Gesamtwerk": In einem Biss entfalteten sich alle Geschmäcker von salzig, bitter, herb, sauer und süß. Die Konsistenzen bei den unterschiedlichen Gängen zeigten alle möglichen Arten: von sehr fest (karamelisierte Walnüsse und Lavendel), bissfest (Fleisch), crunchig, weich bis cremig. Die Bedienung zeigte sich sehr fachkundig und in natürlicher Freundlichkeit. Sogar der Inhaber Kevin Gideon kredenzte persönlich die Speisen an den Tischen! Die Gewürze neigten manchmal ein wenig dominant zu werden. Selbst die empfohlenen Weine waren kräftig. Insgesamt ein genussvoller Abend mit außergewöhnlichen Gescchmacksexpolisionen in einem geschmackvollen Ambiente.

Leider waren bei einigen Gängen zu viele nicht zueinander passende Geschmacksnuancen im Spiel, z. B. wurde das zarte Aroma einer Jakobsmuschel durch extrem starken Ingwereinsatz zerstört. Andererseits wurde auf Zutaten wie z. B. Löwenzahn in der Karte hingewiesen, die in der Größe eines Babyfingernagels auf dem Teller lagen. Fleischstückchen waren so klein, dass sie zwangsläufig zäh und trocken sein mussten. Die Portionsgrößen waren deutlich geringer als in vergleichbaren Fine-Dining-Restaurants und wurden gegen Ende des Menüs noch kleiner. Trotz origineller Einfälle beim Amuse und einem während des Menüs servierten Überraschungsgang war das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis nicht stimmig. Auch wenn wir ein Gourmet-Menü gerne mit Muße genießen, bestand der Abend angesichts der 4 Stunden doch aus einem großen Anteil an Wartezeit.

Naja, was soll man da noch sagen? Ist eben ein annähernd ein Edelrestaurant, welches auf seinen Stern wartet!

Wir haben das Restaurant insgesamt viermal besucht, zweimal in der alten Location und zweimal in der neuen. Alles, was wir in der alten Location erlebt haben, war für uns eine klare 5 von 5. In der neuen Location wirkt jedoch vieles schwächer. Besonders auffällig ist die Menge an Fertigprodukten, die serviert werden. Auch ein Blick in die Küche lässt erahnen, wie groß der Anteil tatsächlich ist. Woher ich das einschätzen kann? Ich arbeite selbst im Außendienst eines der größten Hersteller im Vertrieb und kenne viele Produkte und Abläufe sehr genau. Auf dem Niveau, auf dem Kevin sich offenbar sieht oder gesehen werden möchte, passt das aus meiner Sicht einfach nicht – vor allem nicht bei diesen Preisen. Wenn man einen Stern anstrebt, muss man im Grunde schon jetzt auf Sterneniveau arbeiten, sonst wird das schwer. Jeder Gang wird mit Geschichten über Kevins Kindheit eingeleitet, ständig heißt es „Kevin hat sich das ausgedacht“, obwohl ein Restaurant immer aus weit mehr besteht als nur aus dem Koch. Gleichzeitig wird erzählt, Kevin halte nicht viel von Fleisch, nach bereits vier Gängen mit Fleisch wirkt das etwas widersprüchlich. Besonders in Erinnerung geblieben ist uns der geschmorte Zwiebelgang beim letzten Besuch, der für uns zu großen Teilen nach Convenience-Produkten schmeckte und wir verkaufen diese fertigen geschmorten Zwiebeln und warum in knapp fünf Gängen von sieben Gängen immer ein Sorbet oder Eis? Leider war das vermutlich unser letzter Besuch. Auf diesem Preis- und Anspruchsniveau kann und muss man einfach mehr erwarten, vor allem echtes Handwerk.

Ich würde mir eine harmonischere "echte" Backgroundmusik wünschen, statt dieser permanent ewig gleichen Rythmusmaschine und gern auch noch ein klein wenig leiser. Aber ich bin auch 66 und hab's nicht so mit der Musik von Afterworkpartys. Ansonsten : Perfekt !

Super stilvolles Ambiente und jedes Mal aufs Neue geschmacklich absolut fantastisch – Küche auf höchstem Niveau. die Weinbegleitung perfekt gewählt und hat die einzelnen Gänge ideal ergänzt. Besonders hervorzuheben ist der Service und das gesamte Team: aufmerksam, herzlich und mit echter Leidenschaft bei der Sache. Hier steht der Gast spürbar im Mittelpunkt!

In eleganter, ruhiger Atmosphäre wird von sehr freundlichen und bestens informierten Servicepersonal und vom Chef persönlich jeder Gang liebevoll erklärt und individuell arrangiert serviert. Die Komposition der einzelnen Gänge ist sowohl in Temperatur, als auch in Konsistenz und Würzigkeit spannend, aber nie überfordernd und macht neugierig auf den nächsten Teller.

Gediegenes, offenbar historisches Gebäude in modernem Look. Engagiertes Team mit viel Kreativität und Fingerspitzengefühl. Die einzelnen Speisen waren gerade für Oldenburger Verhältnisse außergewöhnlich gut. Nach meiner Einschätzung: die Adresse in Oldenburg, für Gäste gehobener Küche.

Wir waren zum ersten Mal im Restaurant Kevin Gideon – und es hat uns absolut umgehauen! So außergewöhnlich gut haben wir wirklich noch nie gegessen. Jedes Gericht war ein echtes Highlight: unglaublich frisch, kreativ und perfekt abgestimmt. Dazu ein super freundlicher Service und eine tolle Atmosphäre. Für uns steht fest: Wir kommen definitiv wieder!

Wir waren zu zweit, und hatten ein 5 Gang Menü mit Weinbegleitung. Also erstmal freuen wir uns,dass es so etwas endlich auch mal in Oldenburg gibt. Hier hat jemand einen wirklich kulinarischen Ort geschaffen. Sehr gemütlich,und stilvoll..trotzdem sehr lockere Atmosphäre. Da kocht jemand (Kevin) und sein Team mit voller Leidenschaft.Man schmeckt es mit jedem Gang,jede einzelne Komponente.Wow Auf jeden Fall verdiente Sterne 😉 Wer mal einen besonderen Abend mit tollen Weinen, und außergewöhnlicher toller Kulinarik und Finesse erleben möchte,ist hier absolut perfekt aufgehoben. Preis/Leistung ist auch sehr im Einklang Zu kritisieren war das einzige ,dass wir nicht gefragt wurden beim bezahlen ,ob ,und wie es uns gefallen hat.Schade eigentlich.Hätten uns sehr gerne nochmal dazu geäußert ( im positiven Sinn) Und eine Sache noch..man kann nicht mit American Express bezahlen.Ich finde dass sollte schon möglich sein,bei dem Preisniveau. Wow! Der Höhepunkt des Jahres schon Anfang Februar, das kommt nicht oft vor. Gestern aber: Kevin Gideon nahm uns mit auf die Reise durch lukullische Landschaften, zu verborgenen Erinnerungen an kindliche Abenteuer, mit köstlichen Überraschungen und echten Explosionen, einfühlsam umschwärmt von ihm und seinem Team; jeder Moment ein Genuss! Wir schweben noch

Sie schreiben, dass sie einen Michelin-Stern anstreben, aber der Weg dorthin ist noch weit. Bei unserer Ankunft wurden wir zu einigen Tischen geführt, und dann verschwand der Kellner. Wir konnten zwar bestellen, aber es gab keine Getränkebestellung, und als der erste Gang serviert wurde, musste ich nach Wein fragen. Ein solcher Service wäre vielleicht noch zu verzeihen, wenn das Essen gut gewesen wäre, aber vielen Gerichten fehlte es an Geschmack, und die verschiedenen Komponenten auf dem Teller harmonierten nicht immer. In Oldenburg gibt es bessere Alternativen.

Ein so toller Abend mit einem sensationellem Essen. Wir waren restlos begeistert. Eine Reise für die Sinne. Vielen Dank an das Team und tiefen Respekt und Hochachtung für die Kochkunst! Denn das ist mehr als Kochen!

Ich habe mit 5 Freundinnen einen ganz tollen und sehr entspannten Abend verbracht. Das Ambiente ist sehr angenehm und wir wurden super freundlich empfangen . Das Essen war mega lecker und wir haben jeden Gang genossen. Die Weinbegleitung war super ausgewählt und passte perfekt zu jedem Gang. Rundum haben wir uns willkommen gefühlt und sind begeistert !! Das Personal und der Chef selbst sind total sympathisch und haben uns durch einen tollen Abend geführt. Vielen Dank für dieses tolle Erlebnis. Wir kommen bestimmt wieder!!

Ein Abend der entspannten und ganz anderen Art. Dass der Anspruch an das eigene Tun in dieser Lokalität sehr hoch ist, merkt man an der sehr zugewandten und offenen Art der Kommunikation und natürlich an den liebevoll angerichteten Tellern. Besonders möchte ich die augenscheinlich sehr junge Küchenmann- und -frauschaft erwähnen, da auch diese Teil des Service war. Der Gastgeber Kevin Gideon war an unserem Abend dem Anschein nach nicht zugegen, was aber der hervorragenden Betreuung durch die Küche keinen Abbruch tat. Die Arbeit in der Küche erfolgte ruhig und konzentriert, was sehr angenehm war. Ein Wort zum Ambiente: sehr angenehm ruhig trotz mindestens halbvollem Restaurant inkl. Familien, individuelle Vorbereitung der Tische mit Karte etc sehr gelungen und auf Wünsche wurde gut eingegangen. Service war mit dem weiteren Verlauf des Abends möglicherweise etwas zu gering besetzt, da mit zunehmender Gästezahl das Anfangsniveau nicht ganz gehalten werden könnte. Ein Tipp: genug Zeit mitbringen. Ein Aufenthalt unter 4-5 h ist spätestens ab der 7 Gänge Variante eher unrealistisch, wenn man nicht durch die Teller und die Weine hetzen möchte.

Wir hatten ein hervorragendes 7-Gänge-Menü, das durch handwerkliche Präzision und kreative Kompositionen absolut überzeugt hat. Besonders hervorzuheben ist die Weinbegleitung, die im Sinne des Food Pairings ideal abgestimmt war. Auch das Servicepersonal war sehr fachkundig und professionell. ​Ein kleiner Wermutstropfen: Zum Ende des Abends hin ließ die Aufmerksamkeit leider nach. Weitere Getränkewünsche oder die Koordination zum Abschluss wurden eher schleppend wahrgenommen. Dennoch ein kulinarisches Highlight!

Das zweite Mal bei Kevin Gideon, dieses Mal in neuen Räumlichkeiten. Ich habe das neungängige vegane Menü gewählt und finde es einfach unbeschreiblich, wie sehr sich der Chef hat steigern können. Jeder Gang einzigartig, jeden Gang gab es schon in 2025, da heute die besten Gänge des Jahres serviert wurden. Sie waren also nicht auf einander abgestimmt, das machte aber rein gar nichts. Stundenlang auf höchstem Niveau gegessen und zum ersten Mal Curry-Eis gegessen. Wenn jetzt nicht bald mindestens ein Stern um die Ecke kommt, dann weiß ich auch nicht weiter,

Der Besuch hat sich wirklich gelohnt. Alle waren sehr freundlich, das Essen sah wunderbar angerichtet aus und hat sehr gut geschmeckt.

Ein ganz feines, edles Restaurant mehr geht kaum. Wenn es möglich wäre, würde ich zehn Punkte bzw. zehn Sterne vergeben. Vom ersten Moment an fühlt man sich willkommen und bestens aufgehoben. Für Niedersachsen ist es ohne Frage absolute Spitzenklasse und für mich eines der Highlights überhaupt. hat es alles getoppt und das völlig unerwartet. Ich bin begeistert und komme sehr gerne wieder. Eine klare Empfehlung für alle, die außergewöhnliche Küche und exzellenten Service schätzen.

Exceptional food within a sophisticated concept. Great drinks and top-notch wines. The service is superb. A relaxed, informal atmosphere, detailed descriptions of each course. Fine dining in a casual setting, without any stuffiness. The prices are naturally quite high. But if you're looking for a special evening and enjoy fine dining, this is the place for you.

The food was of a very high standard. It lacked structure somewhat, with too many flavors on one plate. The ambiance was very nice. Despite the restaurant being completely full, the service was adequate. Two dishes were too cold. What really bothered me was the informal address of guests. One should check individually and have a sense of whether the guest actually wants that. I found it very awkward.

It was extraordinary. A feast for all the senses: sight, smell, and taste. What a culinary experience and presentation of the dishes! Creativity and combinations delighted us from the amuse-bouche to the final dessert. The wine pairings were perfectly matched, and we learned a great deal about wine. I adore the location, from the decor and comfortable seating to the tasteful selection of tableware, cutlery, and Riedel glasses—I enjoy drinking from them. The kitchen is open to view, and the entire team works together seamlessly. The service was enchantingly attentive, friendly, warm, and accommodating, again working hand in hand. A truly relaxing and enjoyable experience—I can't say more. A heartfelt thank you to Kevin and his team for this wonderful evening! We celebrate how you bring your positive energy, enthusiasm, and creativity to the plate and radiate it throughout the meal. We will be back.

Great atmosphere, beautifully presented. The food was truly outstanding, with only minor exceptions. A wonderful journey through the past year. Great attention was paid to each dish, and the beverage pairings were also top-notch. The non-alcoholic options are highly recommended. We spent a wonderful evening here as a couple. We were able to fully enjoy every course of our menu with perfectly selected wines.

- Very friendly service staff who can answer all questions regarding food and drinks and always ask follow-up questions to ensure our satisfaction. - Nice restaurant, perhaps a bit too dark for some. - Delicious food and a 4-hour experience with an 8-course menu. There were also 3 additional courses outside of the menu.

Personally, I don't find the overly friendly tone of the service staff quite appropriate, especially since we are considerably older. I would have preferred a slightly more reserved, polite approach, which I think would be more fitting given the wonderful ambiance and, of course, the exquisite cuisine. Nevertheless, thank you for your efforts!

A restaurant with great potential. The location is very appealing and offers a wonderful blend of sophisticated ambiance and a welcoming atmosphere. The staff is professional and attentive, yet always comes across as genuine. Personally, I see the greatest potential in the menu. The foundation seems to be there to cook at a Michelin-starred level. However, it still lacks a bit of creative variety in terms of textures, shapes, and flavors. The theme of sorbet or ice cream is repeated very often throughout the menu, which becomes somewhat tiresome and unimaginative over time. The quality of the food and wines is good. Keep it up, I'll be back.

At the end, the chef kneels at our table. Not out of deference, but because he probably needs to relieve his back. We discuss the meaning and the questionable nature of Michelin stars with Kevin Gideon. It's the perfect end to a wonderful and truly unforgettable evening. Superb, original, yet not desperately creative cuisine with a clear signature style; each course a little highlight. In the end, we count 13 plates, as the eight courses are supplemented by a few small dishes. The service is relaxed, very attentive, and friendly; you feel completely at ease. A word about the wine selection and the remarkable non-alcoholic pairings: they are unparalleled. Who else, for example, pours six-year-old wines "on the side"? Without a doubt, this restaurant is worth a detour. And we're quite certain they'll earn that star.

Keep an eye on the bill. The food is truly superb and delicious. We had five courses, which in my opinion took too long—4.5 hours. The portions were excellently presented, but much too small. The drinks were very expensive...all in all, a good evening until the bill arrived. After reviewing the bill, we realized that we had simply been charged €25 for drinks. After speaking to the waitress, she accepted this as normal. Given the standard and prices, that's a no-go! Anyone who charges such prices must also be able to charge drinks properly. Sorry, but that ruined the evening! Keep an eye on the bill!

I attended a "Fish and Meat" cooking class with Kevin Gideon this year. It was truly wonderful. He demonstrated very well how to fillet a fish and how to prepare a pigeon. Unfortunately, if you watched the preparation of the appetizer or main course, you couldn't see much of the dessert preparation. However, this was simply due to timing; otherwise, you'd probably be standing there until 2 a.m. 😂 The food was incredibly delicious. Some flavor combinations were extraordinary, ones I would never have combined (or even thought of), but they tasted fantastic. The participants also plated the dishes, which made you feel like a little Michelin-starred chef. I do have to deduct a point, though. We were told we would receive a summary of the dishes and the ingredients used. This was very disappointing, as it didn't happen. Keeping track of all the ingredients and other details throughout the evening was simply impossible for me as a novice. Despite repeated requests, my inquiry for this summary was ignored and hasn't been sent since March. I find this very disappointing, as the course was expensive (given its level). Because I ultimately felt ignored, I'm only giving it 3.5 stars, rounded up to 4. Thank you nonetheless for a very interesting and enjoyable evening :)

We were served in a friendly, attentive, and courteous manner, without being intrusive. The most important thing, of course, was the food, and we were absolutely blown away and delighted from the amuse-bouche to the dessert. Each course was a highlight in its own right. Everything was just right: exceptional flavors, varied textures, and a perfect interplay of hot and cold. We were absolutely thrilled and would like to take this opportunity to thank you again for the wonderful evening!

My wife celebrated her birthday and found the evening to be like a symphony; my brother found the food more flavorful than at Härlin last year. We're repeat customers and didn't want to miss out on any of the delicious, creative dishes 😉 Every course was a taste explosion par excellence!!! Simply amazing!!! The accompanying wines were also delicious, and the non-alcoholic version blew my husband away. Absolutely fantastic, a completely new discovery for us. The service made the evening perfect; the guys are professional, communicative, incredibly nice, and friendly. Please keep up the good work, we'll be back!

Superb hosts, great service, and the food is also excellent and special. It certainly won't suit everyone's taste, so only 4 stars for the food. But in any case, it's a work of art.

Vouchers for the menu were a gift, and we were initially skeptical because of the slogan "quality over quantity." This often means large plates and small portions. However, during the three-course menu, we were served eight delicacies, each one explained in detail by the waiter. Some of the combinations were unusual, but always a taste experience. We will definitely be back.

An all-around fantastic dining experience. Amazing creations with consistently surprising flavor explosions (e.g., scallop with jalapeno sorbet and red watermelon, and so on... Wow! The little eel burger as a welcome from the kitchen... amazing!), served by very friendly, enthusiastic, and extremely competent staff, all in an inviting atmosphere. Excellent evening. The food was fantastic and definitely of Michelin-star quality. It's only a matter of time before it's over. My wife and I sat in the best spot right by the window, overlooking the kitchen. It's fun to watch the young team. The service was impressive, attentive, and dedicated to the food. A relaxed atmosphere, impeccable staff. The variety of flavors is incredible. Personally, we didn't like the combination of crispy fried poultry and fruit flavors so much. It just didn't fit together.

1. Excellent, incredibly impressive food (but the beef fillet was too raw). 2. Very friendly service (unfortunately, the explanations of the individual courses were too brief and quick...a shame!!! to follow along). 3. The menu should at least be in English, perhaps also in Spanish (that was our problem). 4. At least some English would be helpful when explaining the courses. 5. The noise level is too loud for older people (due to tables of 6/8).

We had a wonderful evening together at the Kevin Gideon Restaurant. We opted for the five-course menu that evening and had no regrets. We would love to come back. Aside from the food, the fantastic ambiance is particularly noteworthy.

Unfortunately, I can only partially agree with the other reviews: - Wine extremely expensive - Quality of the accompanying wines was average at best - Hot courses served lukewarm at best - Octopus was tough - Goose liver was forgotten for the main course. Instead of taking back the plate, the goose liver was brought after 4 minutes, by which time the rest of the main course was unfortunately already cold - The curry completely dominated everything else for dessert, apparently intentionally, but unfortunately, it was far too dominant for our liking - We would have liked to have pointed these things out to the chef ourselves in a brief conversation, but unfortunately, no one else showed up at the table, so we're doing it this way, which isn't really our style... - The fact that I didn't understand the mushroom starter at all and the stock was too salty is something I'll just attribute to my own taste buds. Unfortunately, the evening didn't deliver what we had hoped for, which we drove 1.5 hours to Oldenburg for.
