The service at Votum is really incredibly attentive and friendly. The ambience is also great: a good mix of chic and cozy. For a 2 star restaurant, I was hoping for more sophistication and creativity from the dishes. Everything was tasty and fresh, but I find a steak and a raw char as well as a sourdough bread with hummus not refined enough for the price and for 2 stars. Overall, it is absolutely recommended if you want to treat yourself to a special evening.

Keinen Besuch wert! Nachdem ich über einen Monat vorher reserviert hatte und dem Restaurant mitgeteilt hatte dass ich keinen Fisch essen darf, gab es trotz Bezahlung des vollen Preises keine Alternative. Zudem führte es dazu dass kein anderer am Tisch Fisch essen durfte, nur weil ich eine Unverträglichkeit habe. Denk jeder am Tisch muss das selbe essen weil die Küche das nicht hinbekommen würde mehrere verschiedene Gerichte zeitgleich zu servieren. Die Köchin hat sich nicht einmal entschuldigt sondern lediglich gesagt das wäre bei ihnen so. Zudem war das Essen kalt, es wurde aus der Küche getragen und erst einmal auf den Tresen gelegt worden bis die einzige Bedienung in dem. Restaurant an den anderen Tischen fertig war. Und das alles für 400€! Für mich war das leider rausgeschmissenes Geld ..

Overall, it was a thoroughly successful evening characterized by excellent food, excellent service, great wines, flexibility and a pleasant atmosphere. I highly recommend the restaurant and will definitely come back!

After the long-time star chef, Lutz Niemann, went into his well-deserved retirement, we were able to enjoy the orangery again. It was like always. The best meal of all, whether starter, intermediate course or main course, such a tender deer calf, it really couldn't be beat. The team is worth at least one star, if not two! From the welcome from Mr. Brönner, the ambience of the orangery, to the service and the many delicacies, it really couldn't be more. What did our 12 year old son say? “5 out of 5 points”, which he hit the mark. Nothing more is possible. Thank you for this evening!

Unfortunately, despite a long-term reservation, the restaurant was spontaneously closed and we were not informed about it. Only after several attempts on our part to contact us were we informed that it would not be opening today. We spontaneously had to look for another place for a birthday dinner.

Atmospheric restaurant with very tasty dishes

We arrived as a group of 3 and I was really looking forward to the Chinese Seafood event they were holding. When we arrived there was no music and it felt like a really sterile atmosphere. We felt awkward talking because it was so quiet. The food arrived and it was good but unfortunately the fact the place has zero vibe made us want to wrap up and leave as soon as possible. The interior and everything is really nice and feel this place could be really great if they put on some music and lightened up the atmosphere. I can’t see it being suitable for a couple, a date or large groups because of this factor.

Just have to write a quick update...after we had a first test for our dance party in February 2024, our second party started yesterday in the brand new premises on the grounds of the old hospital. With complete success, lots of fun and a good mood. The location is so new, it doesn't even have a name yet...but it's coming soon. A big thank you to the operators Astrid and Albert. Photos to follow. February 2023 - still one of the most beautiful locations in Neuenhagen for private celebrations. We celebrated our son's youth consecration last week and chose the gatehouse as the location, or the second party room that Astrid and Albert tastefully decorated, right next to the already well-known gatehouse at the old hospital in Neuenhagen. The rooms are great and ideal for celebrating a nice party with around 30 to 40 people. Well equipped with a bar and a fireplace. Video technology and a music system are also available. We were completely satisfied and would like to thank the two owners again for the lovely evening.

Soup: totally over salted, unfortunately not edible. Meat instead of medium well done Can you expect anything different at these prices? Service understanding and nice. It seemed to us as if they hadn't heard it for the first time that evening.
